Captivate 5 effect - exit top right

I created a blank project, imported an image, and attempted to use the special effect of exiting to the top right of the slide. When I play the project, the image exits to the bottom right. I have tried the other effects and they enter and exit as they are described.
I have also installed Captivate 5.5 to test it and it fails the same way.
I have had several colleagues try this and all receive the same result. Would someone please test this to see if the same results are received?

Hello,
Just checked Exit, Fly Out to Top Right and it worked OK. Could you click on the small number (bottom right) of the object when the effect is applied and check the motion path. In my copy it looked like this screenshot and clearly goes out of the slide to the Top Right
Or are you pointing to another effect?

After upgrading to 5.3 I don't have minimize, resize or exit icons at top right of screen.
Any help getting them back would be appreciated.

  • Running FF3.6.8 on Windows 7, 3 window buttons not in top right hand corner ( minimize, maximize and exit) . how do i get these to appear ?

when FF 3.6.8 loads it loads everything except the the classic window buttons (minimize, maximize and exit ) do not appear in the top right hand corner as the normally would. it seems as though the page has been cut off or the monitor screen is to little for the whole page to load.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox to save that setting.

  • Min / Max / Exit   controls on the top-right not showing up

I just noticed this ... I have two installs of LRv1 ... and what is strange is on one copy the Min / Max / Exit controls on the top-right is not showing up. On the other it is.
The one that the Min / Max / Exit is "there" is a clean install in WinXP ... but is a older computer.
The one that does not have it ... is the one I ran the beta on. But, I did uninstall the beta4 "first" before I installed v1.
    * I don't use those controls on the top-right ... so it does not bother me ... but, it would be nice to know the fix.
    HG

    Sean,
    YOU are the MAN!
It worked like a charm ... made me feel dumb.
    * It does seem so easy ... when someone tells you "exactly' what to do ... LOL
I am going to be soo glad when my LR book arrives :)
It kinda fooled me because ... normally I don't have the menu bar up.
    Thank you,
    HG

This part of tabbed pane is not customizable as it lies in the ComponentUI(TabbedpaneUI) portion of the tabbedpane.
But I can point out the place u can change to bring the desired feature into effect.
U can find an Inner class called ScrollableTabSupport
Look for the methods createButtons where u can create extra buttons and add to the tabbed pane.
The Inner class also implements actionListener where u can implement the action for the button u added.
By this method U have to use your own extended TabbedPaneUI which u cant escape from.
    Hope this will help u.

  • How do I Position Tabs Top-Right, Bottom-Right, etc??

I've spent countless hours looking over the net and here trying to find anything that shows how to position tabs within a JTabbedPane (or a deriviative of it) in OTHER than top-left, left-top, right-top or bottom-left.
My most immediate need is to put the tabs top-right, and I was able to modify the layout to do that, but that screwed up all other positions. When I hacked up the paint method to changed the rects, it worked until the tabs lost focus.
Digging really deep into an extension of JTabbedPane, TabbedPaneUI, and the inner TabbedPaneLayout, I kept running into dead-ends in one place or the other, like, finding private methods, or different mechanisms for getting the tabplacement.
If anyone has any pointers, please let me know. At the moment, I'm so exasperated that I'm actually writing my own custom tabbed pane. However, my tabbed pane will allow ANY component as a tab and allow 12 anchors for the tabs, but I'd still just like to get the tabs top right.

You're friggin' kiddn' me! OK.. that makes me feel really stupid... but I generally think of component orientation as an internationalization thing and it simply never dawned on me to try!
I'll get a big laugh out of this some day... somewhat like you are right now!
Thanks... you've saved me about only a zillion lines of code.
Things to note for those finding this answer:
    1) For left and right tab runs, this doesn't have an effect, but why would it? Yet, it might have been nice to have a right-bottom or left-bottom.
    2) For top and bottom tab locations, if you want the tab order the same left to right order as you add them, you have to add the tab components in reverse order. That is, in your code you add Tab1, Tab2, Tab3, and set component orientation right to left, your tabs will be, left to right, Tab3, Tab2, Tab1. So to get tabs positioned on the right (top or bottom) and left to right order Tab1, Tab2, Tab3, you'll need to add them Tab3, Tab2, Tab1.

  • Sometimes a Firefox window top bar goes weird, and the window controls at extreme top right disappear.

Sometimes, after its been going quite a long time. a Firefox window top bar goes weird, and the window controls at extreme top right disappear, making it impossible to resize or close the window. The only solution I have found is to individually move the tabs to a new window. The original (bad) one then disappears as soon as the final tab is shifted.

'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode|Firefox Safe Mode]] is a troubleshooting mode that turns off some settings, disables most add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
*In Firefox 29.0 and above, click the menu button [[Image:New Fx Menu]], click Help [[Image:Help-29]] and select ''Restart with Add-ons Disabled''.
*In previous Firefox versions, click on the Firefox button at the top left of the Firefox window and click on ''Help'' (or click on ''Help'' in the Menu bar, if you don't have a Firefox button) then click on ''Restart with Add-ons Disabled''.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
    * On Windows: Hold the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * On Mac: Hold the '''option''' key while starting Firefox.
    * On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run ''firefox -safe-mode'' <br>(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".<br>

'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems]] article to find the cause.

  • New icons alway appear top right corner on top of each other.

    Hi All.
When I connect to a network disc or download something to the desktop, anything that needs a new desktop icon to be created, all the newly created icons appear stacked on top of each other, like a deck of cards, in the top right hand corner. I usually have my main HD there but it refuses to stay put. I've tried the arrange and clean up options, I have also repaired permissions and run disc warrior. This is a very recent complete re install of everything, from scratch. Any other suggestions?
    Regards, Nick

    Hi Nick

  • Grow from top right

I see there is a choice of grow from center or top left in
    Spry effects.
However, reality is that I have a div near the right edge of
the site container div and need to grow a graphic of a text
document from 30% to 100%. The site is relatively wide and growing
from the top left puts the image out of browser view for the
average user. It would be practical to grow from top right, which
would put the image in a position relatively centered in the site.
(No, I can not redesign the layout my action calls to work with a
    top left grow.)
How do I adjust the effect?

any matrix algebra website will tell you how to do this

After restarting the computer when firefox 5 had been downloaded the search bar in the top right is now missing.

See if it is on the Customize Toolbar window. If so, while the Customize Toolbar window is open, drag it to the location you want it. To open the Customize Toolbar window, do one of the following:
*click Firefox button > Options > Toolbar Layout
*using the Menu Bar: View > Toolbars > Custonize
*HOLD down the ALT key while pressing the keyboard letters VTC
*right-click on a blank space on a toolbar or at the end of the Tab Bar and choose "Customize".
If "Search" is not on the Customize Toolbar window, click "Restore Default Set" at the bottom of the Customize Toolbar window and look again.

The HUD Inspector in Full Screen View seems to position at the right margin of the image as a default(?)  If I toggle the button in the top right of the HUD it 'unlocks' and I can drag it to where I prefer -- at the left margin; (for over a decade) my dock has resided at the right margin so all my slider manipulation over countless editing sessions in Aperture has been ingrained to work at the left margin -- but, the vast majority of the time, the HUD overlaps the image I am editing in this 'unlocked' mode.
Every occasionally I enter Full Screen View and it positions on the left margin *without* superimposition...(!) My great joy is modulated into aggravation, however, should my tracking cursor drift all the way 'out of bounds' -- to call in the hidden pane of adjacent images sequenced in the library... This dramatically shrinks the Full Screen display and re-locks the HUD; if I toggle the switch to re-xpand the image it re-positions at the right margin!!!!  I SOOoooooo wish I knew how to control the default 'locked' margin of the HUD in Full Screen View...

Drag it over to the Left. Then lock it there.

    HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!

    BOB we need you urgently
Perhaps Bob will see this thread, he is the professor in these cases.
You do not use a WEP password but wpa/wpa2 on router and equipment.
All equipment connects to WiFi, but for your iPad.
Even with all other equipment WiFi off, you cannot connect your iPad.
Your iPad connects to other WiFi nets correctly.
All resets etc done on iPad and Router.
Still I am not sure it is your router for sure, frustrating...
I want to test 2 other things:
    1. in your iPad, set everything OFF in Settings/Cellular, turn off/then/on your WiFi, and see whether it will still not connect...
    2. If that does not do it: disconnect the router as well as the modem from the power, for 15 seconds, then reconnect the modem, let it fully start, then reconnect the routet let it fully start, turn of your WiFi in iPad, then on, and see whether it will connect.

  • The search bar in the top right hand side of my screen works fine, but the main search bar in the middle of the home screen doesn't at all; do you know how I can fix this?

I can access bookmarked pages, pages that are on a saved RSS feed, and can search the web using the top right-hand bar on my screen. However, the main bar, in the center of the home page (not sure of the correct name) will not do anything - whether I press search, or hit enter on my keyboard. There also appears to be another bar underneath that, which I can press, but it remains useless.
My Dad is running Firefox 4 on his computer, and has showed me what it is meant to look like. I can therefore conclude that there is definitely something up with mine.
I am currently using Firefox 4 with my laptop, which runs Windows 7.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 4, but the problem still remains. I am not keen to use Internet Explorer, purely because I have bookmarked so many pages on the previous version of Firefox but also because I get on very well with the whole layout etc.
If it comes to it, I am willing to take the risk of losing my bookmarks, but if there are any suggestions at '''''all''''' of how I could possibly fix this problem, I would welcome them.

    Go to this address: http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html?country=AU
Item 24 lists 3 installable major search engines for Australia.
You can also restrict your search in Google by including ''country:au'' or ''location:au'' or ''city:perth'' (for example) in your search terms. Example: ''city:sydney plumbers'' in the Google search box will list plumbers in cities named sydney.
