Captivate 6 Hangs while recording video demo and software simulation

I am running captivate 6 on windows 7 SP1 64 bit operating system. Captivate 6 hangs whenever I tried to record video demo or software simulation. I am running captivate 6 as an administrator.

Thank you for contacting Adobe Support.
Please use the following steps and let us know if it solves the issue:
1) Try recreate preferences for Adobe Captivate (For this close captivate and navigate to the location C:\Users\your account name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Captivate and rename the captivate folder)
2) Try creating a new Admin user account on your system and then try the simulation.

  • Stereo Audio Record problem (While recording video as well)

    Hi,
    I just just bought Sony Xperia C3 dual yesterday. I'm having problem with audio recording. I installed the Sony audio recorder from Google play store but while recording in stereo mode with it the gain suddenly drops after 1/2 second(s). Same problem while recording a video with stock camera app as well, video quality is fine but the audio with it is,just worst. Tried third party app like regorge pro but faced the same problem. Tried disabling the AGC with it, but no good. Recording in mono mode just works fine and I get clear record.
    Any solution?

    @uliwooly  This one i recorded today morning. The audio starts good & clear at the begining but just after one second it drops & then you can hear the bus engine sounds like waterfall. It's mono but so clear & sharp.  Finally, as i dont have the mic swith option while recording video, all videos i record will have the same problem. This is definitely not  the typical "sony" thing to carry on.

  • Shooting stills while recording video with the SX50

    Has anyone done this?  I was shooting some video yesterday and was happy with how it came out until I realized that pressing the shutter button while recording video actually caused the video to insert a black frame and included the shutter sound.  What is this?
    My Kodak Z990 was able to do this same function (take pictures during videos) and even though some of them would turn out a bit blurrier than I would have liked, it never insert a black frame and sure didn't stick the shutter sound in there.  Did Canon do this on purpose?  I'm going to have to try and pull this video into some video editor to remove the frame and sound and hope it works.
    Lesson learned, I guess.  I'll take pictures and video separately from now on, just in case, but it's unfortunate that Canon screwed up badly on this feature.

    The items you mentioned need to be set before you start the video. Once the G16 is running the video, you cannot make adjustments to white balance, ISO, etc. The people I deal with all run the video for their G16's in Auto mode and let the camera make the decisions. But like myself, they don't use video very often, so hopefully someone with video experience on the G16 can give some better insight.

  • Captivate Crashing while Recording

    Hi there
    I wonder if anyone who knows more than me has any ideas!!
    Captivate has crashed whilst recording. The red box is still
    visible indicating that it thinks that it is still recording a
    section of the screen. After my laptop freezing, I pressed Alt + F4
    to close captivate. When I log back in, it says that I can't open
    my project as it's already in use by another instance of Captivate.
    My problem is that I'm not sure when i last saved the work,
    therefore I'm reluctant to restart my machine, or manually end the
    captivate process in case it loses everything. Does anyone know if
    I there is any kind of autosave - or am I just going to have to
    bite the bullet and restart or end the process? According to task
    manager, Captivate is still running using 117k.

    Hello Becky . . . from my experience (this happened to me two
    nights ago) and the limited information I have on your situation I
    say bite the bullet and redo the project. Did you maybe set the
    STOP function to a different key? I don't have a laptop but I use a
    Mac and I had to re-assign the function keys.
    Try this:
    1. Start Captivate again.
    2. Try recording another demo and Captivate will tell you
    that another is currently recording.
    3. Click OK and then try hitting the End key again.
    If Captivate crashed your Task Manager would say Not
    Responding. If it is Running as you say then you need to quit the
    program from the task manager or restart your laptop.

    4. While your video is recording, tap the camera icon in the upper right to take a photo.
    5. You'll see the shutter close on your screen each time you snap a photo.
    6. Your photos will be saved to your camera roll.

    I realized yesterday that if I am recording a video and I receive an incoming call, my phone stops recording. Is there an option to hold all calls while recording video?

    Not that I ever heard of.
    Apple's stance is that it's primarily a phone, so those take priority over video recording.

  • Battery problem while recording videos.

    I got my ipod touch 5 1 month ago. I got a problem while recording videos. The battery was around 40 percent, but after I recorded a video for about 1-2 minutes. The 20% was popup, then it turned off automatically. While I turn on it, the battery will be about 30 percent. It happened several times. Is this normal?
    Does anyone have the same problem?

  • Photo Booth froze while recording video and did not save

    Hi-
    I was in the middle of recording a video on Photo Booth for a school project. Before you go any further- I now know that I should have used iMovie or Quick Time to record, but I was having the same problem with freezing/lagging video. So I decided on using Photo Booth because it is what I am most familiar with.
    It was about a 20 minute video and I noticed that the picture would freeze every so often, even right after I began recording, so I know it is not a size issue. I also do not have anything in my Photo Booth tray or library, so I know I have enough space.
    Here's my issue: I pressed stop when I was done recording. But I got the infamous "spinning wheel of death." It didn't go away, even after 10 minutes so I force quit. I have located the recording in Finder. It says the name of the video, and the size, but the thumbnail is just the default QuickTime icon, not an icon.
    How do I recover this? It's extremely important that I do. Hoping EZ Jim will respond!  Thank you so much in advance.
    I am using a MacBook Pro 13" from 2011.

    Yes, you should have.  Do so in future recordings that are important or longer than a couple of minutes.

    Because your problem is the same with all three video recording applications, we can rule out application software as the cause of your trouble.  Here are some possible causes and what you can do to try to solve them:
    (1) Video recording is processor intensive.  If you are also running many more apps than only the video app while you are recording, your Mac's processor may be working near its limit.
    Restarting your Mac before recording video ensures you will not have interference from multiple user accounts or widgets (unless they are included as  > System Preferences... > Account > Login iTems.
    Remember that things like widgets and automatic checks for Mail, TimeMachine backups, iCal alarms, etc., and other background activities also add to your Mac's workload. The actions for the apps mentioned (and for most other such apps) can be disabled in "Preferences" for the apps that control them.

    If you are not already running the latest Lion version, apply the OS X Lion Update 10.7.5 (Client Combo) update.)

    Neither freeze timing nor Photo Booth tray or library space tells you whether your startup disk has enough free ("Available") space for best operation.
    Use your Mac's Finder > File > Get Info menu command to check available free space.  Be sure you have LOTS of room (I keep 75% of my disk space free when recording video) on your MBP's disk.
    Capture your movie clips on your MBP's startup disk rather than on an external drive which is almost certainly slower.

    0. What Lion version number you are using? You can find the version with the  > About This Mac menu command.
    1. Are you recording your video subjects in bright lighting?
    2. Did your Mac ever record video properly? If so, what happened immediately before the problem first appeared? (new software, hardware, etc?)
    3. How much free space is "Available" on your startup disk?
    4. How much RAM is installed in your Mac?
    5. If you added RAM, what brand (Apple, Crucial, Other World, etc.) did you install?
    6. Have you used Apple Hardware Test to verify your RAM is all working?  (If you don't know how to use AHT, see your MBP's User Guide.)
    We will offer more specific suggestions based on the details in your response.

  • Issue with Video Demo and Custom Captivate Templates

    I recently bought a membership to ElearningBrothers Template library. I have used one of their custom Captivate templates for my current elearning project. Everything is fine except when I create video demos, the template seems to sit infront of the video, so that I can hear the narration, but the video won't display. Any ways to disable the custom template just for that slide?

    Nicolo - First off this stuff gets crazy sometimes.  No worries about the exam.  Sometimes when FXO ports go crazy it is due to battery reversal.  If you go to the FXO port settings try turning battery reversal on and or off... depending on its current setting.  See if that helps. 
    As for the 525s not registering..  These are inside the network correct?  Are you connecting one directly to the UC500 with a Cat5E or Cat6 patch cable and the same thing happens?  Does the MAC address on the phone match a MAC address under the EPHONE settings? 
    If you telnet into the UC500 can you execute a "dir" command at the CLI prompt and "CD" (change directory) into the phones folder and then the spa525g folder?  Do files exist in there? 
    Also I only see an IP address under BVI100?  This is the voice side of things what happened to the IP address under BVI1 (Data VLAN).  Can you give us some information about the internal network?  Cna you PING this phone system from the network?  What IP address does it have?

  • Live Recording with mics and Software Instruments

    Has anyone used the Software Instruments in GB to play live, while recording the Software Instruments direct and live (Real Instruments) as well?
    I'm thinking about getting a FirePod or similar, to record my band live using several mics and playing and recording Software Instruments all at once. I'm concerned that this set up might have too much latency and make the Software Instruments not playable with my band live, and perhaps all this might make my iMac G5 bog down.
    Anyone have any experiences with any or all of this kind of use of GarageBand with an audio/MIDI interface?

    Sorry if I'm talking in circles. That post was early!
    I'd like to be able to use the built-in Software Instruments live and record that MIDI as well as the live tracks at the same time. However, I could deal with using my own keyboards for the live sounds and just record the MIDI from them while recording the live tracks too, if that makes the system work. For instance, if the part I wanted was a piano, and the Software Instrument piano used too much processor power, I could "record" with a smaller instrument that wasn't such a hog. Then, in mixing, I'd use the Software Instrument I wanted for the keyboard part. Live, my real keyboard could provide the piano for all to hear.
    Am I making sense yet?
    I suppose one thing I could do is something I was thinking of doing already. I could get one of the $40 MIDI-to-USB interfaces to record with the band. Right now, I'm just using a stereo mic set up to record stereo into GB. I could add MIDI and see what happens. Heck, I could enable 6 more real instrument tracks at the same time and see what happens! Then I would know it was possible on the iMac at least.
