Captivate 7 32 bit compatibility with 64 bit

I work on a 2-person development team. Both of us run Captivate 7 but I run a 32-bit version while my team mate run the 64-bit version.
We have noticed issues when trying to open and edit eachothers projects. Does anyone know if this could be the result of using the different bit-versions?

I don't think there will be issues. What kind of issues do you face? It might be because of some other reasons.

Are cp file extensions created with Captivate 4  compatable with Captivate 8?

    Hi there
I believe you will need a copy of version 5 or 6 to open the CP with and convert to a CPTX. Then you can open using 8.
Additionally, you may discover that things become a bit mangled during the upgrades. Many have not gone smoothly and have forced a rebuild of the project.

  • Is adobe captivate 7 compatable with OS X Yosemite?

I have a new Adobe Captivate 7 and after I installed it, the icon will bounce 3 or 4 times and then close. it will not run at all. I have a Macbook pro retina. Is adobe captivate compatable with OS X Yosemite?

    HI Phillip,
Captivate 7 does work with Yosemite but it is not tested with Restina Display. Can you try to install Captivate 8 trial version and see if you are getting the same issue?

  • Win 8.1 Pro 32 Bit Compatibility with Office 2003 SP3 32 Bit

    Hi,
Our one of the customer has recently updated Win 8.1 Pro 32 Bit from Win XP.  They are using MS Office 2003 32 Bit since long.  With XP Office 2003 was working perfectly.  But with Win 8.1 they have found one problem.
When they are typing mail ID in "TO" or "CC" the saved email ID is appear but by pressing ENTER the Auto fill action is not accepted.  Because of this problem, customer have to type email id manually each and every time.
Can you please help me to resolve or clarify this problem.
    Thank You..!!

    Hi Shashank,
Just as Dominic's share, Microsoft Office 2003 suites and applications are not compatible with Windows 8 and later Operating System.
I suggest you upgrade your Office version. Microsoft Office 2013 could work on Windows 8.1 seamlessly.

Is the photoshop elements 9 / premiere elements 9 bundle compatible with Windows 8 pro 64 bit?

BAsed on searching this forum there are mixed results in answer to your question.  But none of them that I can see outrightly claim it is not useable.  So if you are having a problem getting it installed, I suggest you search this forum to see what others have done to try to deal with this matter.  Here is one result that has a series of possible steps:

  • Install Captivate 4 on Windows 7 64-bit machine with Windows XP mode?

    Hi,
I have been searching the web to find out the best way/place in which to load Captivate 4 on my Windows 7 64-bit machine. Seems some people have issues with recording, others don't. I have Windows XP mode on my machine.
My question is... what's the best way to load Captivate 4 on Windows 7 - should I install to Windows 7 and see how it goes. Or should I install under Windows XP mode?
    Thank you!
    Michele

Yea it works in XP mode

Try running Cp4 in WinXp compatibility mode on Win7.  Also make sure
you're set to Run as Administrator.
I run Cp4 on Win7 without issues.  But other users report similar problems
to yourself.  In the end, it may or may not work for you because Adobe has
never claimed Cp4 was compatible with Vista or Win7 64bit.

  • Captivate 7, 64- and 32-bit compatibility

I'm about to start working with someone who uses Captivate 7 on 64-bit Windows. If I use the 32-bit version, will there be any problems with our trading the files we work on?

    Hello ,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums!
You can share the files between the same version , it doesn't make any difference if you have 32 or a 64 bit version .
The problem occurs if you change the version like open Captivate 7 files in Captivate 6 or any other previous version.
    Thanks

  • Is Flash Player 11.7.700.224 really compatable with Windows Vista 64-bit?

I ask this question because under System Requirements, Window Vista 64-bit isn't listed.  I've inserted the link for the system requirements below...
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/tech-specs.html
I'm trying to figure why my Flash Player disappears from time to time when I'm watching a clip/video and then my Internet Explorer 9 typically stops working, it closes down, and then it opens up and asks me if I want to restore the browsing session.  I'm thinking that this has to do with having both Internet Explorer 9 32-bit and 64-bit.  I read online that Internet Explorer 9 has both and this is why I'm questioning whether Flash Player 11.7.700.224 might be contributing to this issue or was Window Vista 64-bit left off the system requirements in error?
    Thanks!

Try using the installers from the links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
P.S. topic moved to the Installation section of the forum.

  • 32 bit Planning compatability with 64 bit Essbase

    Hi,
We are running version 11.1.1.3.01 of Planning, and Essbase 11.1.1.3 on two Windows 2003 R2 Sp2 servers. Planning/Worspace/etc on one server and Essbase by itself on the other. We want to add a new planning server and a new essbase server.
Will 32bit planning work with 64bit essbase if we want to go that route? Any downside to using 64 bit essbase with planning?
Also can multiple Planning Application servers exist in a single Worspace instance. In other words do I need to install workspace along side of planning on the new planning server? Can I get the existing Workspace installation to recognize the new planning server? What is the best practice? Hope that makes sense.
    Thanks for any responses,
    Keith

Best practice for multiple Planning servers is a load balancer (Force5 BigIP/Citrix NetScaler/Cisco/Microsoft NLB). Most larger companies have BigIP's or Netscalers.
The VIP should be set with sticky sessions based on source IP and you would register your environment with the VIP.

  • Device compatibility with 64 bit windows OS

Hi, we plan to upgrade our current computer, possibly to a 64 bit multicore with windows OS. Currently we use C++ as software plaform on a 32bit win XP for the following devices:
    PCI 6534
    PCI 6713
    PCI 6071E
    NI 9205
    USB 6501
Most of them use NIDAQmx as base level drivers. Are these devices compatible with 64 bit OS (win 7)?
    Thanks,

I have not checked that all of your devices are covered, but you should start looking here and here.

  • Premier pro 5.5 not compatable with windows 7 64 bit

I have recently spent over 3.5 hours on the phone live only to be told they can't fix the problem of Premier pro shutting down in Windows 7 64bit every time I try to open it.
I was told to install Pro 4.  I have pro 4 and that is why I bought 5.5  Now I can't get pro 4 to work either it also is shutting down.  Has anyone had the problem.  I believe Adobe has left me hanging after spending 495.

I was finally luckey enough to get a tech on the phone.  To get the tech I had to call sales and explain what was happening , that the 800-833 6687 would get me to choice 2 for tech help and then hang  up.  This happened yesterday 10-28-2011 roughly 18 times.  The sales person was kind enough to stay on the phone and verify what I was saying and go through the connections and get me to a tech who knew what he was doing and take the time to do it.  It took roughly 1hour and 30 minutes to determine that the video card was the problem.  The adobe site lists my card and compatable with the suite.  I took the machine to Best Buy tech
and tried to show him the problem and the system worked.  I recreated the scene at home and found the difference was that BB was using only one monitor.  Premier Pro 5.5 is the only part of the suite that will not work with dual monitors.  For 3 days I have spent countless hours and exausted patience only to solve the problem myself.  So much for Adobe tech help.

  • How do I know if my MBP is 64 bit compatable ?

    Hello all,
I purchased my Intel core2duo 2.16 Ghz MBP in March 2007, it is still running Tiger.
Now that Snow Leopard is due out in September, I would like to upgrade to that version, either end of year, or January.
I saw that it will run as 64bit, i would like to have the OS run 64 bit for more speed. How do I know if the hardware in my MBP is 64 bit compatable to take advantage of the speed of the new OS. I will upgrade the memory to the maximum, I'm still running 1GB with no problem.
    Thanks,
    Bob

All Core 2 Duo MBPs are 64-bit. The original Core Duo MBPs are 32-bit (they will run Snow Leopard but not take advantage of the 64-bit code).

  • [S0LVED] 32-Bit compatibility on a 64-bit system

I'm trying to figure out what packages I need so I won't have problems running 32-bit games and such.  RIght now I'm trying to run Firestorm (Second Life client), and it won't start...It tells me this in the terminal.
You are running the Firestorm Viewer on a x86_64 platform. The
most common problems when launching the Viewer (particularly
'bin/do-not-directly-run-firestorm-bin: not found' and 'error while
loading shared libraries') may be solved by installing your Linux
    distribution's 32-bit compatibility packages.
For example, on Ubuntu and other Debian-based Linuxes you might run:
    $ sudo apt-get install ia32-libs ia32-libs-gtk ia32-libs-kde
    ia32-libs-sdl
What packages do I need to solve this (I searched for ia32 and got nothing) and what packages am I going to need to install for general 32-bit compatibility?

We call our 32bit compatibility repo multilib.  Check out pacman.conf.  You can enable the repo by uncommenting the necessary lines.
Once you do that, I guess you would then have to figure out what exactly those packages in ubuntu would provide you with.
I have multilib enabled already...I know ia32 has something to do with the Intel processor...I have lib32-intel-dri installed, but that's the only Intel-related 32-bit library I've found so far.
