Captivate 7 install - error code 15

Any ideas?
Running windows 7 64bit, tried rebooting, disabled AV, etc

         I just subscribed for the creative cloud and when I try to install the app it fails with the error Creative Dekstop failed to install error code 1000. Can some one shed any light on how to resolve this

  • Creative Cloud install error code 11

    When I try to install CS6 from Creative Cloud Website, AAM initialized, downloading and unzipping was just fine, but installing is failed.
    AAM said "Application Manager was executed. Retry after Application Manager getting done. (11)"
    Of course there is no another instance.

    There is no file like these. Also There is no folder like caps.
    Actually I try to
    - Download and run the CS6 Cleaner Tool and remove everything CS6 related form ~/Library and /Library
    - Reboot
    - Reinstall Acrobat X through AAM and install updates
    - Reinstall remaining CS6 products
    but same result.

    1) Open Control Panel and Navigate to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features .
    Under Program and Features list, locate the option : Adobe Creative Cloud  and uninstall the same.
    2) Open C:drive and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named Adobe Application Manager and OOBE.
    3) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and if present delete Adobe Creative Cloud folder.
    4) Press Windows button (located between Ctrl and Alt buttons) along with R button together at a time , you will get a run command window.
    Type in below command and hit 'Enter' key.

    Then navigate to Local>Adobe.
    Open Adobe folder and delete folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.
    5) Click on the below link and download Creative Cloud setup file and use the same to install the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • Exchange Server 2013 Missing file on ISO install Error Code 1603

    Hi all,   a mystery needs solving any suggestions much appreciated:
    We are trying to install Exchange Server 2013 on Windows 2012 server.
    The ISO File being used is: SW_DVD9_Exchange_Svr_2013w_SP1_MultiLang_Std_Ent_MLF_X19-35118
    All preparation and requisites in place.
    During Stage 2 Copying files, we receive an error code 1603 and installation halts.
    The error states:
    Installing product F:\exchangeserver.msi failed. Fatal error during installation. Error code is 1603. Last error reported by the MSI package is 'Source file not found: F:\Setup\ServerRoles\ClientAccess\Owa\prem\version\resources\themes\base\0\microsoft.o365.controls.timeline.mouse.css.
     Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.'.
    We have verified that the Path in the error is correct and exists BUT the file is not present within the 0 folder.
    We have downloaded the ISO from our Action Pack resources twice and attempted 4 separate installations.
    We have tried both Mailbox/Client Access  and Mailbox only installations.
    The missing file: microsoft.o365.controls.timeline.mouse.css. Hopefully the only file misisng???
    Any ideas anyone, could we source a different ISO or copy of the file or ?????

    Had the same issue with Exchange 2013 SP 1 Downloaded as an ISO from the Volume License Center, installing on a new Server 2012R2 STD box. I found the equivalent file in another ISO but discovered it was just an empty CSS file. So the easiest way is to not
    bother trying to find the file but: 1) open notepad, 2) set save to "All Files", and 3) save an empty CSS file with that filename then place it in the directory indicated in the path given in the error. (Make sure it saves as
    a CSS and not as a TXT.)
    I reran the install and it completed without issue.

    Some process is using the Flash Player and is preventing the uninstall/install of the version you are attempting to install.  Please ensure all products that may use the Flash Player (browsers, Instant Messaging clients, and others) are closed and nothing is using Flash Player.  Also check Task Manager and ensure Flash Player related processes are not running (they'll have 'FlashPlayer' or 'FlashUtil' in the name).

  • Visual C++ 2008 Redistributables (x64) won't install error code 2381

    Hi, i'm trying to install some dev tools but this redistributable package won't install... it keep getting the 2381 error code and i'm trying different ways to install it. I've tried the compatibility mode, and ofc i'm running it as admin always.
    I just installed VS Express 2013 for Desktop, but i need the 64 version of this libs so i need to install apart.
    I'm under Windows 8.1 Pro Update 1 64 bits. The windows update system is working ok, there's no errors on the updates, everyting is updated ok. I've also run the sfc /scannow, no problems.
    I need this to install win64 openssl. Help plz!

    1. Most probably the problems stems from missing/wrong framework 3.5x.
    2. On the other way C++ redistributable is compatible up to W 7, so the compatibility mode may or need not work for you.

    I have purchased a new PC for Windows and cannot install Itunes. I am getting error codes 2503 and 2502. My music is in the Music / itunes file.

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Failed install - error code 2 (CS4)

    I had PS CS4 installed and running on a new HP Probook Notebook running Windows 7 Pro. The computer threw some error messages (I don't recall the specifics) and required a restart. Which initiated a system restore. The restore did get me up and running, but PS was missing. I attempted to reinstall and it failed. I've done the following:
    1. Multiple attempts to install from CD.
    2. System restore to the only date left after the crash (9-1) which was after the date I installed PS.
    3. Attempted to remove PS with Windows - does not fully remove, file folders left.
    4. Attempted to remove PS with Revo Installer (per HP tech assistance) - removed registry entries, but files persisted on drive.
    5. Attempted new install. Program goes through process but finished with errors - indicated "Error Code 2" and nothing else.
    6. PS and Bridge now on menu, but I get an error stating "Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, please reinstall the application."
    Which won't work. HP has sent me to Adobe for help. Thoughts?

    Chicagodom the use of the system restore feature can often lead to unexpected results/behavior.

  • Extensions are not installing: Error code 1

    I have just installed Adobe Exchange panel, but can not install any extension. I get this error on Photoshop: “Installation failed with error code: 1. The zxp installer has been copied to your documents folder”. If I try to install from that folder on My Documents, Adobe Extension manager reports "The extension is not valid. Extension won't install” (I'm translating from Spanish).
    I have tried "free" and "Creative Cloud suscribers" extensions with no luck, from the Adobe Exchange panel and just by launching the extension packs: nothing works.
    My Extension manager version: 6.0.5.9 (Adobe Extension Manager CS6)
    OS: Windows 7, 64 bits (service pack 1)

    I can't install this extension with my account at present. Please generate log files using the steps below:
    1. Open Finder.
    2. Navigate to "Applications/Utilities".
    3. Double click "Terminal.app" to launch it.
    4. In the Terminal window, input the following command (including double quotation mark) then press "return" key.
        cd "/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS6/Adobe Extension Manager CS6.app/Contents/MacOS"
    5. Input the following command then press "return" key.
        sudo touch ExManLog.YES
    6. When being prompted, input the password of administrator user then press "return" key. A file named "ExManLog.YES" should have been created in this folder.
    7. Try to install extension.
    8. After installation failure, exit Extension Manager.
    9. Get log files from "/Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Extension Manager CS6/". Note that the folder "/Users/<UserName>/Library/" is hidden by default. You can open Finder, press "option" key when click menu item "Go"->"Library" to go into this folder.
