Captivate 7 - NeoSpeech Fatal Error (Windows user)

Hi,
My IT department has just updated my software from Cp 6 to Cp 7 and installed NeoSpeech from Adobe online link (as well as Assets) and I'm just testing the software, however, am receiving the following fatal error when trying to assign speech agent to text, then the system freezes.
Just wondering if I need to go back to them to re-install NeoSpeech again, or something I have done?
Thankyou
Sharon

Did your IT department set Captivate 7 up for you to be launched with Run As Administrator privileges?  If not, that might be your issue.
To test if this is the issue:
Have one of the IT admins log into your PC, launch Captivate with Run As Administrator.
Then try to perform the exact task you were doing when Cp7 crashed.
If the app works fine for the IT Admin under Run As Administrator then you know what you need.

  • Seeburger Splitter:Fatal error in user mapping . java.lang.StackOverflowErr

    Hello,
I have created a mapping E2X_SLSRPT_UN_D96A as we didnt have the standard mapping(See_)  from Seeburger
In my scenario when I give hardcoded mapping name ,it works fine,so I assume mapping is correctly created and deployed.
But I need to use it with splitter, and in doing so,I am getting this error:

    Hi,
I understand that you need to use Custom mapping for your EDIFACT Message...
Then did you created the generic mapping with Clasasifier ID...i.e ABC_edifact... (By default it will be See_Edifact)
so you need to create the generic mapping by Name provided in classifier ID of settings then....
need to create the child mapping in such a way that it calls the same (developed one...)
in default cases See_Edifact frames the child mapping name to be called based on the messages received ...
similarly your generic mapping need to call your child mapping....
    Hope this clears you

  • Adobe Captivate 5.5 "Fatal Error" Crash Caused by "CS Live" in CS 5.5 Programs

This should be an official bug report. Forgive me if there is a more effective way to submit a bug.
Adobe Captivate 5.5 crashes with a "Fatal Error" when the user launches a CS 5.5 program while Captivate is running in the background. This only occurs when the user is signed into Creative Suite's "CS Live" in the Creative Suite programs.
This problem can be reproduced easily by launching Captivate and Illustrator side by side. Then the user must sign into CS Live through Illustrator. Captivate will crash with a fatal error every time. I have confirmed with Captivate running while launching Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.
You can see a quick video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayDDSN7rSY0
There is no solution to this bug. I have tried nearly everything, following the framework at Troubleshoot launch issues, problems | CS6, CS5.5, CS5
    • Clearing the cache / rebuilding the profile directory in User/AppData/Local/Adobe/Captivate 5.5.
    • Reset Windows fonts and deleted all Adobefnt*.lst files / rebuilds on program launch.
    • UAC is disabled, I have administrator rights, and the application is set to start in "Run this program as an administrator" for all users.
    • Switching graphics from Intel to Nvidia and back for all Adobe applications.
    • Disable activation on both Captivate and the Master Collection, then reregistering .
    • Deactivating/Uninstalling/Reinstalling the program entirely.
For now I will stay logged out of CS Live in my Master Collection programs.

  • Adobe Captivate 6.0 fatal error when trying to publish

Currently working on Adobe Captivate 6.0 and recently have experienced a fatal error message when trying to publish my project. The fatal error message creates a backup and requests to restart Adobe Captivate.

    Hello ,
    Welcome to Adobe Forums!
Could you please check the exact version of Adobe Captivate you are using (Go to help > About Adobe Captivate)?
Are you having the same issue with other projects as well ?
Please make sure the project files and published folder should be on local computer and not on any network location.
    Thanks
    Himanshu

  • Captivate 6.1 fatal error - app terminates & saves work in .cpbackup files

I am working with Captivate 6.1 via a subscription license. The current file was created from scratch at 2048 x 2100 for new iPad retina resolution. While only 2 slides, the file is complicated - most images hidden and grouped and then called as groups via advanced actions.
Today I started getting "A fatal error has occurred and the application is being terminated. Adobe Captivate has tried to save all your work in the respective project folders as ".cpbackup" files. Please restart Adobe Captivate."
I deleted prefs and cleared cache as instructed here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1267044. Same. I backed up and started using a file from about 30 minutes before. Same. I backed up 2 hours and started using that file, worked slowly and methodically... eventually same.
Here is what I am noticing:
Application seems to run slower with delays whenever I touch the x/y location of any item.
If I mess with groups at all, I am likely to crash the file. Culprits include changing order of objects in the group. Adding additional objects to existing groups. Changing the order of the groups.
Is there any way to recover existing work?
Should I just start over without using any groups? I was using groups to make advanced actions easier to write and edit. Any known issues with groups in Captivate 6.1?
Am I dooming myself with 2048 x 2100? Any known bugs?
    Thanks! Appreciate the help!

You may be seeing the early signs of potentially fatal file corruption.

  • Captivate 7 - Flash Player Error Window also minimizes Captivate Output

    Hi,
When I publish a file in Captivate 7.0, the typical Adobe Error Message window appears:
I usually just click OK and my project plays just fine.  In Captivate 7.0 when I click OK, the Adobe Flash window still closes, but now My Captivate project minimizes to the taskbar instead of staying open.  The end user has to retrieve it from the taskbar in order to view it.  I have no other IE windows open and I also have the latest version of Flash installed (11.??).  Do I need to do something to the standard.htm file?  Thanks!

    Hi there,
Can you please add your C:\ drive as a trusted flash player location and see it resolves the issue or not?
    Thanks,
    Nimmy Sukumaran.

  • A Fatal Error Has Occured - Captivate 6

Hi there, I have seen some threads on different error issues of Captivate, but mine is worse.
Since the Captivate 4 installed in my office PC, it never ran smooth. Our IT purchased version 6 for PC with hope to improve performance. But since day one, it has never worked.
First, it refused to boot, because the folder 'My Adobe Captivate Projects' was set to be installed in 'user's documents' folder, as by default. There wasn't much space in that folder because our company PC was set to limit the users' personal space, and I wasn't able to ask it to install in another folder (such as C drive, which would solve my problem). This folder wasn't installed at first. My Captivate opens then quits instantly. Our IT came and manually copied the 'My Adobe Captivate Projects\Layouts' folder from another computer which has it installed. Now I have one file named White.cptm in the folder named 'My Adobe Captivate Projects\Layouts\6_0\en_US'. That's the only Captivate file I have under Documents.
After adding the 'My Adobe Captivate Projects' folder, it can be opened. But as soon as I set to 'capture', it quits with fatal error message within 6 seconds into capturing. The temp folder, the export folder and cache all set to D drive (local drive). I can not open someone else's project files, I can not record, or any other operations.
Our IT came in again, we did a major clean up of all temp files, cache, etc... Still no luck, same fatal error. The message look like this (classical, like many users')
Could anyone tell me where has gone wrong? How can I ask Captivate to NOT READ FROM MY DOCUMENT FOLDER, instead I move everything to C drive (where rest of Captivate programme files are located)? Or there is a problem somewhere else?
I would be very greatful if someone can give a hint...!
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise. Intel Celeron 2.5GHz. Ram 8GB.

Thanks very much for your speedy answer! I tried hard to change it without any result, so I expected it could not be done...
Since I cleaned up my personal space just for Captivate, I will not store anything in my document, to make space. Now technically there is enough space to work with.
I have already set my preference settings to export/save/cache/whatsoever into D drive. It was the first tihng I attempted. I think the problem lays deeper though.
Now when I open the programe, it refuses to show me more than the welcome screen.
I can click 'blank project', then click on one of the default values, then OK. Nothing happens, I am back at welcome screen.
The only button actually can perform is the capture (software stimulation). If I start capture, it will show me fatal error instantly.
Everytime I open it, I would get stuck in one of the steps, today here, tomorrow there...I dont think I can have IT upgraded it very soon. So I try to solve this problem in the meantime... I will ask them to make it Admin for me, and see how it goes.
Do you know if there could be other things I could try?
    Thanks a million.

  • Captivate 6 keeps on crashing giving fatal error

I am using Captivate 6 on Windows 7. All seemed well until i changed some preferences in Captivate. Now every time i try to record a new demonstration project or do recording in existing project, i get the fatal error message. I have
    Cleared the Cache Folder
Deleted the Captivate 6 folder in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe
Still i am getting the same problem. The snapshot is attached

In the preferences i took the following path:
here i only changed the following:
    1. the caption from "transparent" to "Glass Blue" (text color changed from black to white, and text center aligned)
Next i took the following path:
Two atributes were changed for the Highlight Box: Fill color slected as orange and Fill percentage increased to 80%.
These are all the changes that i did.
The Cache path and captivate documents (plus the library assets: sounds + a small mp4 video) are all on my laptop.

  • "problem with shortcut/fatal error during installation" on other user accts

I-tunes installed and works with no problem in original user, but when another user account attempts to open Itunes, program attempts to install/configure again, then results in a "problem with shortcut / fatal error during installation" message. Setting the other users to administrators doesn't help, nor does un-installing/re-installing, etc. I am at least the 4th person with this problem (see Burthomp earlier today,Jan. 17 and Richard 1018 on Dec. 29). This problem started with Itunes 7.5, and is still a problem on Itunes 7.6. I have a standard Dell setup, Model E510. There must be a lot of people with this problem. Apple, are you working on this? Anyone else have a suggestion?

I ran into the same problem, but I think I have the solution. First, the problem isn't with iTunes, its an access problem with Windows XP. I tried to run the iTunes program from the Program Files, and I received an "Access Denied" error.
If you try to open the Program Files in My Computer\Local Disk(C:) and receive an "Access Denied" Error, that is why you are receiving a "shortcut problem/Fatal Error during installation".
Here is how I corrected it:
    1) Shut down the computer and restart it in "safe mode". I had to look up how to do this, but I pressed F8 when it was restarting and I highlighted the "safe mode" and started the machine. The icons will be large, but ignore it.
    2) Open a user that has administrative access -- I used the one user that has access to itunes.
    3) Go to My Computer\Local Disk (C:) and right click on the "Program Files" folder. Select "properties" at the bottom.
    4) Go to the Security Tab
    5) At the top you should see one or two users that have access to the Programs File. One will be the user that itunes works on. Click Add, then click Advanced, then click Find Now.
    6) At the bottom should appear a list of users. Select a user on which itunes doesn't work. Click Ok, then click OK again.
    7) Give that user full access to the Program File by putting a check mark in the Full Access box.
    8) Repeat for the remaining users.
    9) Restart computer in normal mode.
    10) Go into a user that had problems and click the itunes icon, and it should run.
It worked for me, I hope it works for you.

  • ODBC Driver raising Fatal Error on Windows

    Dear Friends,
I am facing FATAL Error Exception C5 from 8.1.6 and above oracle clients on windows 9X/2k/XP from VFP7/8. Error does not occur @ very first sqlexecute statement. It occurs at any no of statement. When user goes thru Foxpro Debugging mode it occurs with less frequency.
It is working fine with Orcle Client 8.1.5.

Hi, I also have a similar problem.
I use oracleinstantclient 10.1, and sometimes I get C5 in VFP9 when calling a procedure on the server using ODBC.
I looked on the forums and I found that one way to solve it is to not send <?variables> to ODBC driver, ex:
    instead of
    {CALL PACK_MG_EVOLUTIE.GEN_MG_INDICATORI(?lcSchema, ?lnMonth1, ?lnYear1, ?lnMonth2, ?lnYear2, ?lnType, ?lcMessage)}
    use
    {CALL PACK_MG_EVOLUTIE.GEN_MG_INDICATORI('SCHEMA_NAME', 6, 2005, 6, 2005, 1, 'MESSAGE')}
That solved my problem, but now I use oracleinstantclient 10.2 and I get
1526 Connectivity error: Unable to retrieve specific error information. Driver is probably out of resources.
Has anybody encountered the same problem?
I want to use instantclient 10.2 because I got the odbc installer to work on Windows 98.

  • Windows 7- Adobe Reader X 10.1.4- "An Internal Error Occurred"-"Fatal Error, Adobe Failed to connect

I downloaded Adobe Reader X 10.1.4  lately and I could not open any pdf file I have and gave a message, "An Internal Error Occurred. I tried to change it under the Program Features for updates and fixes  and re-started my computer. Then I tried to open again a pdf file and a message " Fatal Error", Adobe failed to connect to DDE Server. What do I need to do to fix this up? Is Adobe even aware of this?

If all things fail and you are not getting a resolution to this. Delete the Windows 7 User profile.   C:\Windows\Users\<user name>
Reboot, then recreate the user profile by logging on as the User.   You are not done yet.
Logoff and log back as Administrator and go to Regedit and manually delete the user profile from the Registry.
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\[SID]    look for the User name.bak
Delete it.   Then reboot and go back and log on as the user.  That should fix it.
If you get lost with those instructions on how to delete user profile.  Go to this link:

  • Adobe Captivate File: Won't Open, Fatal Error

I'm on a Dell PC Laptop.  I've saved an Adobe Captivate 7 file, then exported it to Flash format.  I can't open the FLA or SWF files that I exported.   When I try to open the original Adobe Captivate file (using Adobe Captivate 7) it gets up to 60% and stops and says a "Fatal Error" has occurred and the program needs to close.  I can't even open the Adobe Captivate software program to start a new project.  My coworker tried opening the saved Adobe Captivate file on his computer but it said it was "open by another user or the file was corrupt" so couldn't open it there either.  Please help!

Click on Organize -> Folder Options
Go to "View" Tab and check "Show hidden files and folder"
Once you click on "OK", you will see AppData

  • Mindstorm NXT 2.0 on Windows 7, Fatal Error!! Required NIPathsDir property NIMDFMANIFESTDIR is undefined.

I'm getting this error when trying to install LEGOS Minstorm NXT 2.0 on Windows 7 on my home computer: Fatal Error!! Required NIPathsDir property NIMDFMANIFESTDIR is undefined.
It requires admin privileges, so I log on as admin.  I've tried changing the Compatibility to Window XP Service Pack 2 or 3 and also chaning the Compatibility to use admini privileges.
I've found from solutions to similar errors posted on this website that it might be a problem with it not being able to find the My Documents folder.
There is a My Documents folder under the Admin user, but the target location is Documents, not My Documents.  It won't let me change the target location to My Documents.  I try copying the directory and changing the name by it won't let me.
I've tried part of a solution posted here:
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=460&message.id=1000&query.id=7360616#M1000
I did everything except for the part about "You will need to make another package to add a My Documents folder to the local service user so that would be located in "C:\Documents and Settings\Local Service\My Documents"." because I didn't know how to do that.  Plus, I think I would still run into the problem that the target location is not "My Documents", but I suppose I could just enter the target location as "Documents" if I knew how to specify it when I "make another package".

You really need to go to Legos for support. The only support here is with using LabVIEW with NXT.

  • Dreamweaver CS5 fatal error XML parsing: Invalid document structure, line:1, File: C:\User\Tyler\App

XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file: C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\Classic.xml
I have gone through older disscussion forums and have followed the steps recommended by deleting the corrupted .xml file itself (in this case "Classic.xml") but imidiatly after when i try to open Dreamweaver again, i am prompted with the same fatal error message including the file that i have just deleted. Next i deleted the entire configure file and this did not help either.
It is also odd that when i follow the path to find the corrupted .xml file from the prompt, the path is different in that i do not find the "Classic.xml" file through th "en_US\Configuration\Weorkspace" navigation, however i do find the corrupt "Classic.xml" file in the "configure" folder of the "Adobe Dreamweaver CS5" file.
Im not sure what to do now and i would really like Dreamweaver back up and running so please help if you can!!!
    Thanks
    -Tyler

Step 1: Close DW, Navigate to C:\User\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en_US\Configureation\Workspace\ and delete that Classic.xml file
Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your Workspace layout XML file again. See if it works fine.
PROCEED TO STEP 2 ONLY IF STEP 1 DOESN'T SOLVE THE ISSUE
Step 2: Navigate to C:\Users\Tyler\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS5\en-US\Configuration and delete the entire 'CONFIGURATION' folder. Re-open DW. DW should auto-create your configuration folder based on predefined layouts and config options. This will definitely fix your issue.
Reason for this issue: This issue would have been caused due to a malformed workspace layout configuration. That may happen due to customizations you may have done to the layout/ improper file permissions/ improper shutdown on Windows.
See if these fixes resolve your issue and post your results here.
    Cheers,
    ST
