Captivate 7 Trial - AME CS6 Error

Hi All,
We've just installed a trial of C7 to test some new features but, when inserting a video and agreeing to convert to a flv format, we get the popup below.
Other threads have talked about replacing the amtlib.dll in the AME install dir but, this does seem to work with Captivate.
Any ideas how to resolve or is this a limitation of the trial?

If I remember well, from another thread, this should be a limitation of the trial version but I'm not totally sure.

Trial Photoshop CS6 error - missing components

I'm getting an error message stating to reinstall the trial photoshop application because application components are missing...Can anyone help? This will be my thrid time downloading it!

Run it with proper user privileges. Also make your security stuff behave. In fact there may be nothing missing, just blocked.

AME CS6 Error .m4v .mp4

It also estimated something absurd like 15 hours to encode. I let it run overnight and came to this error in the morning. The original file is only 1.4 GB or so. Codex was h.264. Required final file is <800 MB and .mp4. Any advice/suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I loaded the video to PPro. I can play it fine in VLC, but it seems PPro is having trouble playing the video. It'll pause and have trouble loading, while the timer of the video continues. It'll catch up to itself eventually, but still glitches and jumps and doesn't play fluidly at all.
I tried changing the export settings, I changed the format to MPEG2-DVD and got an error almost immediately:

Thanks for the help so far. So the file seems to be the issue? I downloaded a zip file via drop box to attain it. Any further suggestions would be great, thanks Rallymax.

Dreamweaver the following errors show up in the JavaScript.Log. I deleted the .dat file but no difference. I am not so confident in how to delete the preference file. I have been following the instructions (see link)

Try renaming the configuration folder that holds the .dat file first, before attempting to restore preferences.
Many times that will take care of it without having to do all the work required after a pref-reset.

After Effects CS4 and AME CS6

I have AE cs4 and am needing to export to windows media player. When I choose that option in AE I get a crash error <5188> <ae.blitpipe> <2> rect t:39.000000 l:15.000000 w:1213.000000 h:768.000000
I have the final video as an avi and tried to use AME cs6 to encode it but do not have the option like others have mentioned on here. Does AE cs4 and AME cs6 not work together? I'm running windows XP 64 and I am not in a position to purchase Premier and my boss would rather not upgrade my windows or after effects. I would like to know what my options are.

Can't open Adobe Captivate 8 trial.

Can't open Adobe Captivate 8 trial. Error reads: The procedure entry point NormalizeString could not be located in the dynamic library link KERNEL32.dll. I'm into my trial and can't even get into the program.
Any thoughts or recommendations on how I can get through this and access the program. I've tried to download it a couple of different times and come up with the same error.

You need to launch Captivate as administrator. On Win this can be done by
right-clicking on the Captivate shortcut key, and either you choose 'Run as
Administrator' or you open Advanced dialog where you can set to launch
always as administrator.

Can't Install Captivate 4 Trial

I am trying to install the Captivate 4 Trial (I have
Captivate 3 on another laptop). Upon setup I get error message,
"Installation can't proceed until the following applications are
closed: AdobeCaptivate.exe" But I do not have Captivate running
anywhere. I formerly had Captivate 3 on this laptop, but removed it
and also removed any related files, registries etc. just to prevent
a conflict. Can anyone tell me what I am missing?

Big issue with AME CS6 Additional Presets for ProRes

Hello all,
I have downloaded the "AME CS6 Additional Presets for ProRes" on here : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5411
When i try to select it to export in any of the ProRes format, an error message pop up. Here is a translation of what it is written (original is in french) : "Incompatible video codec detected in the preset. Loading the preset failed" / or for those who understand French : " Codec vidéo incompatible détecté dans la préconfiguration. Le chargement de la préconfiguration a échoué."
I have called Adobe support and they say they can't help me because ProRes is an apple codec/product.
I have called Apple support and they say they can't help me because CS6 is an Adobe product.
Of course they both told that the other one could answer my question.
So in the end they both told me to watch in forums. I was mad about those answers but, i guess I don't have a choice so, if anyone can help me with that issue, I would be very greatfull...

I finally found an answer !
It is very simple in fact but I will give you the tip if you are, like me, not an apple genius :
The preset that you can download on adobe's website can not work if you don't have the ProRes Codecs installed on your computer.
To Install them, download them from apples website and unpack them with "unpackage" a small freeware you can find quite easily on internet. Then you can add the prores codec to library/quicktime/folder.
I just don't understand why they couldn't tell me this morning.
Anyway, hope it will help some !

I am trying to open Captivate 8 after downloading a trial version but it won't open. Any ideas?

Please find the steps of download and installation of Captivate 8 ( 64 bit ) :- Open the link mention below in any Web Browser say Internet Explorer https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate Sign in with your Adobe id and Password, then you will be redirected to download Web Page of Captivate 8. Do not click on Download. Kindly let that window open as it is. Now Copy and paste the link mention below in the new tab/window of the same Web Browser in which you have opened the above link. http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/win64/Captivate_8_x64_LS21.7z Then Save the file. Do the same for the link mention below and save this .exe file as well. http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/win64/Captivate_8_x64_LS21.exe Make sure both the files (.7z and .exe) save/download at the same location/folder. NOTE: Wait for both the files to finish download and then run the .exe file. Once you run the .exe, it will start extracting the .7z file and will provide Captivate 8 folder on your desktop which will contain setup.exe. Run this setup.exe to install Captivate 8. Regards,

Unfortunatly, the 32 bit versions of windows doesn't support video in photoshop cc.

Is a free trial of CS6 available?

Is a free trial of CS6 available? I am trying to find a way of converting some old Pagemaker 6.5 files to PDF without messing up the images etc. Thought CS6 might work.

You may have answered my question. I AM using the 64bit version of Illustrator CS6. I had no idea there were bugs in it that affected paths copied and pasted from Illustrator to Photoshop.
A bit more about what I'm trying to accomplish... I'm trying to follow Deke's tutorial (http://www.deke.com/content/dekes-techniques-018-creating-a-3d-pie-chart) which is already difficult since so much has changed between CS5.5 and 6, but then on top of that, I keep getting errors!
So I created the pie chart exactly as he shows and copied and pasted into Photoshop exactly as he does. Before submitting this post, though, I tried drawing just two very simple triangle shapes, copying them both and pasting them into Photoshop as a shape layer. The shapes weren't overlapping, but they were a part of the same shape layer just like the pie chart tutorial.
Thanks for your help. If there is anything else I should try before just giving up because of the 64bit bugs, please let me know.
