Captivate 8.0.1  iOS Systems (i-Phones and i-Pads) require double clicks to submit quiz answers and perform actions.  Why?

Is this common?  I never noticed it before.  Is this something that got changed with Patch 8.0.1?  Was that patch supposed to do something else?

We analyzed your content and we found that there is no issue while pressing submit for quiz slides in mobile devices.
here is what we did:
     Once quiz slide is loaded we answer the question then press submit after that we get a success/failure caption which explains that we need to click anywhere to continue. We click on that caption and the progress continues, gradually moving to next slide.
So at our end we are not getting any point where submit button need to be pressed twice before moving to next slide.
I am using Iphone 5 and Ipad 2 for testing. The content is deployed in a webserver.
Let me know the steps, by following which I can get to the issue that you mentioned in this post.
Also we can have a connect meeting to figure out the issue at your end.
Send the details regarding availability and timezone in which you fall-in, to my email id. I can initiate a meeting on the basis of that.

    At some point in the past, I synched with Gmail.  Looking at my Gmail contacts, I can see that it's missing the same contacts I'm currently missing from the iPhone.  Is it possible that I may have done that sync back in October 2009 (but not since) and then somehow recently over-wrote my contacts content with whatever was there?  Is there some setting I could have tripped to make something like that happen?

    With Voice Over, you highlight whatever you are trying to select and then double tap anywhere on the screen to select.
    So for your password of 1234 you have to
    "Highlight 1, then double tap the screen, Highlight 2, the double tap the screen,... etc."
    In order to remove you have 2 options:
    Option# 1 – Turn off Voice Over
    Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
    Double tap screen to go into settings
    Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
    Double tap screen to go into general
    Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “ACCESSIBILITY”
    Double tap screen to go into accessibility
    Once you are in make sure that EVERYTHING in that section are shown as “OFF”
    Option #2 - Reset your Phone
    Go to setting by, highlight "SETTING
    Double tap screen to go into settings
    Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and highlight "GENERAL"
    Double tap screen to go into general
    Use 3 fingers to (swipe) scroll of down and then highlight “RESET”
    Double tap screen to go into reset
    Select “Reset all setting” and continue to follow the instruction
    (When you reset, all of your data and music WILL NOT erase. So don’t worry about that)

    All you have to do is double tap the home button to bring up the multi-tasking view, then swipe up on the screenshot of the app you want to exit.

    Monday I ended up on the phone with Apple Support just to be sure I was doing the right thing and to check my back up info so I could be sure I didn't loose important data. They were very nice and helped me finish the process. When I told the tech that I couldn't download the new update and install from my iphone that is when I went to the computer and that's when I got this recovery mode thing on my phone. He told me there must have been a problem and that is why he thinks I couldn't down load it from the phone. I had to go to ITunes on my computer. Once we did the recovery we were able to check that I had a back up from the day before, so I didn't loose anything. He stayed with me til the process finished. I also found out I can prevent the auto sync for the future by setting the directions on that.
    I am good now and my phone is operating fine, with the new update. Thank you all who commented back to me.

    im quite interested in iPhone developement.by reading some dev books of iOS i can learn the general steps of creating an iPhone app. however, i cant find much of iPhone's system archetecture or framework information on the internet, so sometimes i was confused by the running process and principle of an app. so, im wondering cannnnnnn u guuuuuuuuuys doooooooo meeeee a little favor by answering the following questions and i appreciate that:

    2.'backgrounder' is an application for jailbroken iPhone to run an app in the background, i.e. multitasking. do u know what's the principle of 'backgrounder'? can u offer some links that i can get more information of 'backgrounder'?
    3,the function of Multitasking, as Apple mentioned in the release of iOS 4, brought another word 'APNS', i.e. apple push notification service. i googled APNS and learned that the servers are provided by Apple and perhaps the servers are located in the U.S. so im wondering, if im using PUSH message, does that mean each PUSH message gotta travel between my country and America twice? if it's true, its gotta cost a lot and there'll be huge delay! and since APNS are maintained by Apple, is it correct to say that Apple can read every PUSH message? and the last question, there're lotta companies providing PUSH messages, and is Apple able to handle all the PUSH flow? that's really great burden i think!

    There is no way to get them back, unless you backed up your phone regularly to iTunes on your computer or to iCloud.

  • Broken Phone and No Idea Why...

    I have an android Samsung Galaxy...not sure of the exact model. Anyway, tonight I posted a picture to Instagram which was successful. I then tried to scroll down to view recent photos and the screen suddenly froze and then began to change to a lighter color like it was fading. I then took the battery out (I'm used to this because it freezes constantly) and when I put it back in, instead of getting the Samsung logo like I normally do, the screen begins to fill with little pixels of color. The screen fills in and then changes from light to dark to light colors. No matter how many times I take the battery out and put it back in, I get this same thing. I even tried plugging it in--the phone doesn't charge and I get the same thing. Anyone have any experience with this or any idea what might be wrong? I am so sick of this phone breaking on me...I just got a replacement two months ago because the button to turn the phone on and off broke. It is just getting ridiculous at this point.

    Yea at first I thought maybe after it was on for a While you could see something but it Sounds Like your Display is Shot)  I was going to Ask how old it was but i found at the bottom of your post this phone is a Replacement phone  Yikes somebody else's trouble that was sent in to Verizon then Sent on to you. 
    That's why I'm not in Favor of the there Replacement Phones Program)  You may get a Phone that will go to the End of your Contract and then again you may get a piece of  I can't say with out get Moderated..
    Well what i would DW is I would take it to your Local Verizon and see if they can Replace it for ya )  I know it'll be for the same possible Model but they may Step you up a Model.. You Just have to Check with the Store an see Hopefully they'll Warrant it for the Display   Good Luck.. b33

  • IOS 7.1 lag and freezing

    So I updated to iOS 7.1 last night for the iPhone five and so far had nothing but problems with the phone lagging, freezing and not letting me do anything. It will lag to the point where I can't do anything, the touch screen stops working. Apple needs to fix this now.

    Have you tried resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Home screen redisplays, see if your issues have been resolved.
    I have also seen other posts indicating that some apps, like Facebook, are slowing the system down. Close all open apps - double click the Home key and then swipe up on the thumbnails of all the open apps.

    And yes we do not have disagreement about "official apple developers". Problem is that Apple screwed our devices because we are "official apple developers" and did effort to stop us getting proper help. I unbricked my ipad and iphone thanks to unofficial help. Thank you who wrote this unofficial help and "no thanks" for apple for ruining my access to my devices. My mistake was assuming that "update" button on my devices works. It did not because it always told "Your device has latest IOS6 installed" until it bricked yesterday.
    If Apple does not want to listen us, continue do delete post, blame us installing your software and yes we stop buying your devices and developing for them.
