Captivate 8 smart position markers don't stay at assigned places

Hi all,
I've been experiencing a problem with my Captivate 8 responsive project. I have smart shapes being smart positioned on a master slide. But I'm quite often seeing the smart position markers jumping away from where I've put them.
For example, on a master slide I have a glossary button that is always 50 px to the right of a menu button. If I do some work on other areas of the project, say in the filmstrip view and come back, the smart position marker has jumped back to the edge of the slide.
I'm not sure why this is happening.
Any help or information is really appreciated

It may well be a driver issue but considering the loading: Xorg trying to load different drivers is somewhat normal. @cafe you can see that these are autoconfigured by X above the loading in the log:

Flash file zooms but buttons don't stay where they should

I've attached the example files I'm working with. I have a zooming component that zooms in my flash file by loading it with an .xml file, but the buttons don't stay over the buttons once it gets loaded into the component. The buttons move off into space.
Do you see what the issue is?

I think what is happening is that the whole file is scaling which is somehow messing up the positioning of the buttons.
Here's what I've done so far:
- create a movie clip of .swf file toolip and center it.
- the zoom_test.swf loads in the 2008_19.swf file to be zoomed and panned via the data.xml file
Since I created a movieclip of the .swf file tooltip, when you open up 2008_19.swf, the tooltip does not rollover the button anymore,
it is a little further away from the button.
I'm not sure what you mean by scaling the parent, because with this functionality, the whole file, 2008_19 is being scaled.

Again, this is not a continual thing; it just happens variously throughout my day. MBP Model A1212, OS X 10.6.8, 2.33 Ghz 3GB RAM.

Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. Also, If y ohave a 5G iPod/iOS 7, purchase songs will show with an cloud icon by them if they are not downloaded if Shall All is turned on in Settings>iTunes and App Store

Lyrics-What's Up? They don't stay in itunes Can't view on iPod?

So what gives?
I've put lyrics in for several whole albums and they don't stay. Then The ipod says it knows there are lyrics but can't display them.
I read the IPOD PDF and it doesn't supply any help.
Any suggestions?
I put lyrics in a file and selected all and set all to Times font.

Yeah they are AIFF files for sure.
So I did the deal you suggested for a playlist that was in mp3 format. It had the option to convert the tags. I converted the tags to 2.3 and input the lyrics and synced. *Works fine. But only for mp3 files.* Not for the AIFF files at all.
The message the ipod says when I try to view lyrics of AIFF files is...
*_"lyrics detected, but unable to retrieve"_*
Further more itunes does not store lyrics properly for AIFF files. They disappear randomly.
I viewed the playlist with the lyrics that was in MP3 and that is just so darn cool...I wish it worked with the AIFF files. I'll get around to making 2 playlists of the same album but one in mp3 and then one in AIFF and see how they sound on my various music players.
I just didn't want to diddle around converting even part of my 70g library on the lappie to mp3. Blech!
I don't have much patience for things that don't make sense... And this doesn't make sense to me...that the lyrics are only viewable on the ipod if the music format is in MP3.
I'll try and report back soon if my Epistemology homework doesn't eat my brain out first. Thanks for the help!

After adjusting the levels in a file the changes don't stay. How do I fix this?

I'm running Photoshop CS5 on an iMac. I started with a scanned tiff that was emailed to me, a black on white ink drawing. I changed it from a tiff to a greyscale image and saved as psd, then converted it to RBG 8bit. When I open the psd file I see that it's in RBG 8 bit and there's no asterisk (*) by the file name, so my work space and file are compatible. I tried to adjust the layers to dull the black lines in the drawing, and although I can see the changes in preview, the corrections don't stay and the image reverts back to the original bold, black lines. I decided to change my background layer to a regular layer and make the edits there. However, when I change my background layer by unlocking it and changing the name, I notice that my file suddenly has an asterisk (*) after the name and my same attempts to change the levels aren't working. I'm not entirely sure if it's a compatibility issue with the work space, a file extension issue (psd), or something all together unknown to me. Any direction on how to adjust the levels so that my changes stay would be much appreciated - and furthermore, any advice on how to keep my files and work space in sync would also be helpful. Thank you. If it helps to know, I'm in painting mode within photoshop, which isn't my regular setting, but I thought it would help since I want to add color to this black an white drawing.

Zoom in to 100% before judging the quality of your adjustments on high contrast or noisy images.
While zoomed out, you're seeing a preview applied to the down sampled (averaged) pixels.

If your rescue email is not working and you cannot remember even one answer, then you only have one option - call Apple.

The Fit to Stage is not functional in any version of Captivate 6, as described in the Texture Fill, when choosing an image with the Browser icon. When the image is bigger than the shape, the Edit Image dialog box doesn't even appear in 6.1.319.

Saving window don't stay opened

Since I updated all the drivers on my laptop, the saving window where I am supposed to choose the format (jpg, gif, etc.) of copies of my file don't stay opened long enough for me to save in another format than PS. How to fix it?

The OS save dialog (the one you can't keep open) should only close when you hit the save button, or press enter or return to commit the save).
My guess is that something on your OS is interferring with the OS save dialog.

In debuging "Smart Data" tab don't show value

when i run my code in debuging for example procedure, Smart Data tab don't show the value. But Data tab show value.
In earlier version it's working fine.

ADJUSTMENTS DON'T STAY

WHEN I EDIT A PHOTO IN LIGHTEROOM THE CHANGES THAT I MADE TO THE PHOTO DON'T STAY. WHY IS THAT?

Just after my last reply, which involved waiting two hours on the telephone for tech
support to answer, the support tech answered just as I was shutting down. We discussed this for another hour which involved her connecting live to my PC where she could physically see and acknowledged the differences in the image between the library and develop modules. I showed her how this impacted other photos.
Ultimately, there was no satisfactory answer. The discussion ended with questions like did I somehow alter the digital files? Except for working with them in LR2, no.
I replied to my original email from tech support with a copy of my digital negative and a copy of an exported jpeg which clearly shows the image appearing in library. I asked to be assigned to someone who will work with me in good faith.
So, as of right now the saga continues, and I will check my other blog on the nikonian site as well. Total telephone time is 4.5 hours of which just over one hour was working with a human. Adobe has very nice hold time music.
In answer to the original question, they did ask me to alter the preferences file but the instruction on the next step was not clear. Still waiting on that to be expanded upon via an email reply.

Could you provide the community with a little more information to help narrow troubleshooting? Specifically what operating system are we using and are there any error condition? Is the display blank or 'stuck'?

Dock Icons will not stay in their place (CPU?)

I have been having an issue with random dock icons not staying in their place. I move an icon to a place that makes it arranged correctly in terms of grouping or importance and it "slides" back to it's original place almost immediately. Or I will move one and start arranging and all of a sudden one will slide to the right side or something.
I finally got a chance to troubleshoot this and did a google search.
I have for a very long time had DOCK SYNC TURNED OFF.
Now I have gotten into the MBP and LOGGED OUT of my MobileMe account and it STILL does this. It has been happening since I bought the computer new. I have other issues related to battery life and beachballs and hot computer or hot power charger of loud fan so I put another 4 GIGS in the machine recently so that it now has 8.
Mac phone support says they want to walk me through checking the CPU but I have done this routine like three times on this computer where I set up a User Account and I have done a FRESH INSTALL twice since I bought it. Last week I finally caught a break in the schedule to bring it in and they say the Hardware is fine.
I mean, it is odd but I don't consider this machine to be what I would consider a "pro" line but at the same time I see that this dock thing is happening on my MacPro (albeit while I am still logged into my MobileMe account).
Thoughts or suggestions? I don't want to take the time to bring it in if I don't have to.

yup. bizarre. logged out of MobileMe and I try to move the Keychain Icon from the third on the left to the last on the right and -whoooo-oop - it slides back to the left. no fun. like having a gremlin moving books around in my library or something...

Thanks for the question. When it comes to iPhone, very little is stored on the SIM card. Contacts, Photos, etc can be backed up with iTunes or iCloud and then transferred to a new device. For information on how to do so, see this resource:

Smart Mailboxes: Why don't they update in real time?

I have a Smart Mailbox that shows me any Unread messages i have. As i read these messages, they become Read messages, yet they remain in the Smart Mailbox. Is there any way to initiate a real time update to these so that I am not required to switch Smart Mailboxes to initiate the update.
Not very 'smart' are they…
Any solutions are welcome.d

And that is the correct action...the update trigger is when you move out of one and into another (acts as a confirmation that you're done).
Seems appropriate and a small price to pay. It would seem to be a burden if otherwise as it would always be working while you were trying to read....can't have everything at once
