Captivate 8 trial download

It's asking what to open captivate 8 trial; download with? What do I say?

Were you able to download both the files (.exe and .7z) ?
This message comes when you don't have correct application to open files with these extension .
Please make sure you download both the files and save them on same location and then run the .exe file which will statrt extracting the .7z .

I've tried this a number of times with a number of new accounts and get the message 'The Installation Failed'. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the manufacturer for assistance.
I'm running a mid-2007 iMac using Mountain Lion (OSX 10.8.4, 4GB RAM)
I have a trial download running on a separate machine under a separate account and log in. The only detail the same in my most recent attempt is the user's home address.

Thanks for your reply. In fact, I also emailed Adobe and your colleague Vikram called and took control of my screen and successfully installed the trial.
I had previously seen a post about the library log, but can't find mine because I've been pulling around some of my directories onto external hard drives.
Anyway, problem solved for now.
But! Can you tell me where I can learn how to create a Quiz button that changes colour with a right or wrong answer? The sequence I want to happen is as follows: End user click on 'radio button' to select Yes or No. as they click a graphic 'tick' mark appears in the button. A moment later they are shown whether the answer is right or wrong by the colour within the radio button changing to a green or red colour. Is this possible?

Looking for a Captivate 2 trial download

It may sound odd, but I have a project that I need to get
done at work. I am a licensed Cap2 user, but I need to get on a
Test PC at my company so I can create a simulation from there. We
can't get Cap2 dropped on it so I need to find a way to download
version 2 on that PC so I can record my project then save the files
and finish it from my actual workstation. I don't believe a project
created with Cap3 can be loaded and edited in Cap2.
Anyone know if a Cap2 trial exists for download?

Captivate 6 Trial Download Problems with Akamai...

Problems downloading & installing captivate 6 trail version on MAC version OSX VERSION 6.8.Can you help?
These are the steps I followed:
1. The Akamai Interface package appeared after download.
2. Followed the Akamai interface install steps until I received message indicating install was complete.
3. There were several file that appeared related to Akamai, if you clicked on the HTML wording appear.
4. There was no sign of adobe captivate 6 any where.

Follow the steps below to download it directly without using the Akamai.
1. Navigate to the Captivate 6 downloads page : http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate&loc=en_us
2. Login with your Adobe ID
3. Cipy and paste the following link on the address bar and hit enter :
http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/6/osx10/Captivate_6_LS12.dmg
4. Save the file.
5. Run the file.

Where can I find captivate 6 trial to download

I have upgrade captivate form 4 to 7, to my superise 7 couldn't see captivate 4 files as I were told I need captivate 5.5 or 6 to convert the file, so I went to find to my superise again I couldn't find one in Adobe web site, so please help where can I find one.

Captivate 7 free trial download

I have tried four times to get the free trial of captivate 7 to download onto my windows 7 64 bit laptop. Each time I try, the Akamai download manager freezes, and the download doesn't load more than 2% of the program. The only message it conveys is "Waiting." What is the most probable solution to this problem?

But make sure you follow the important steps mentioned on the page before initiating the download.

Download Captivate 8 trial

I am trying to download Captivate to show to a client who wants to use it.
I went to http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=captivate
and chose Mac English.
I got a very small DMG image.
I opened the dmg.
I double clicked the pkg to install. I got an install dialog box.
I agreed to the agreement.
I got a standard install screen.
I was suspicious as 31mb seemed awfully small for a big application. But I clicked Install.
A few seconds later I was told the install was successful.
I looked for Adobe Captivate in my Applications folder. It was not there.
I tried a different browser. I got a fatal error.
I tried the direct download link. Nothing happened. And I've been waiting a long time.
I tried a different browser. Same steps. Same problems.
HELP!

There is apparently a problem with IE10+ in that it is mistakenly seen as being IE1. To get around this either use a different browser or use compatibility view (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-10)

Captivate 7 trial - inserting Youtube videos.

Hi,
I am trying to insert a Youtube video in a project I am producing using the trial version of Captivate 7. The Youtube interaction does not even appear when I run the project. And if I try using the Caption & Content slide, it doesn't accept the URL link.
Any suggestions?

Can you please confirm Captivate 7 exact version ( By going to Help > About Adobe Captivate ) ?
Have you tried to preview in Web Browser after inserting YouTube interaction in your project ?
You can also download the video from YouTube on your machine locally and then insert it into Captivate by going to Video > Insert Video option at the top menu bar.

Can't open Adobe Captivate 8 trial.

Can't open Adobe Captivate 8 trial. Error reads: The procedure entry point NormalizeString could not be located in the dynamic library link KERNEL32.dll. I'm into my trial and can't even get into the program.
Any thoughts or recommendations on how I can get through this and access the program. I've tried to download it a couple of different times and come up with the same error.

You need to launch Captivate as administrator. On Win this can be done by
right-clicking on the Captivate shortcut key, and either you choose 'Run as
Administrator' or you open Advanced dialog where you can set to launch
always as administrator.

Re-installing Captivate 6 Trial After System Restore

Hello All,
I installed the Captivate 6 trial (over Captivate 5.5) last Friday with 0 problems. This weekend I had major issues with my video card driver after changing my resolution and scaling in the Catalyst Control Center. After the system restore - which set back to last wednesday - , I was able to update everything else that needed it. When I tried to re-install the Captivate 6 trial, I was able to get all the way to the Initializing Installation window. The green bar filled up (towards the end it got really slow) and once it was filled up, the window disappeared and nothing else happened after that. I tried deleting the files I had and re-downloading. I made sure my flashplayer was updated (it wasn't) and tried it again. Same issue. I restarted my computer a few times. That didn't help. It gets to that same place each time and won't go any further. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening?
I spent almost the entire day in chat/on the phone with an Adobe Tech who literally could not help me. I thought maybe I'd find a Captivate 6 file sitting in my registry, but I haven't seen it (I checked the Adobe folders). It's not installed, so I can't go and uninstall it, I looked in the Control Panel for it. I'm kind of stumped. I'm assuming that a critical file either got corrupted during the restore OR a critical file went missing during the restore, but I'm not tech savvy enough to know what to look for or where I should be looking for it.

Hi,
Welcome to forums.
Can you please try this step and see if that fix the issue. Just go to this location and rename the folder OOBE to old_OOBE.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
and the launch the installer once agian, hope this helps.

I recently downloaded Captivate 7 - Trial to check out the Muti-SCORM Packager. On clicking this feature, a window pops open, but it is completely greyed out. Is this feature unavailable on the trial version? Please Help!

I have XP SP2 and am having a heck of a bad time with
Captivate 2 being very unstable. Is it safe to download and use the
Captivate 3 trial version without removing Captivate 2?

too seemingly had no issues running versions 1.01, 2 and 3 all on
the same PC.
I would further greatly echo his admonition that all PCs may
be different!
