Captivate swf in Acrobat  Pro v9 (extended version)

I currently do not own Captivate, but I was just able to
embed Camtasia swf and Snagit swf into a Acrobat pdf file.
In the new Adobe Presenter, I was able to preview those same
files, but on publishing they would not play.
It must be a pathing issue?

You can actually save filled forms with Adobe Reader, if extended save rights were enabled with Adobe 8 Professional (when the form was created). I assume this feature is in ver. 9 also, but I haven't checked.

  • Issue attaching files in Adobe Reader from a form created in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended

    Hello all,
I am having issues- big ones- please help!
I have created a simple form in Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 extended version that will be made available in a local drive for our salesmen to open not online or in html format- fill in and send back to their manager and the factory- there are 2 e-mail submit buttons on this form and the user selects which one to send to.
This form also has a button for save and for print. Everything works great except that the attach a file button I created. It works in Adobe Acrobat, but not in Reader. When you click the button in Reader it compresses but nothing happens.
I have tried many different things- including extending the rights to adobe reader.
Also, this form has a password protected security and I have given permission to print, to fill in the form and sign existing signature fields. When adding the security I made sure it said compatible with Adobe 3.0 and later versions.
I know I have to do the security before I extend the rights to reader and not the other way around.
Don't know what else to do.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    A.

I've attempted using Acrobat Pro to do the conversion, but it simply won't allow it.  Are there easier ways to have an online or fillable form, created in an Adobe program, such as LiveCycle or Acrobat Pro, sent or saved in a pdf format?
For example: I make a form using an Adobe Program and put it online for people to fill out.  They fill it out and click a button to email it to me.  When I open it, is there a way to see it as a PDF document?
Thank you for your help thus far.  It has been much  more informative than many of the forums I've attempted to decipher.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Extended?

Ok, I've been asking a lot of questions on this forum for a while, and now have another one. My boss has asked me to create a form-our company does document imaging, meaning we scan paper and help companies go paperless. One area in which we'd like to move is the area which helps companies stay paperless. We'd like to provide the service of creating forms that can be filled out electronically and signed electronically. The form I've created is for a medical practice.
I've learned through countless posts on these forums that you can't save a form you filled out in the free Reader even if you created it in Acrobat, which is unfortunate, as we would like to give this form to this medical practice and have them be able to use the free Reader to fill it out and save it (we will probably be giving it to the various doctors they have working there). I know that you can extend the capabilities of an Adobe Form using LiveCycle Reader Extensions, but I'm also aware that the Reader Extensions is quite pricey.
My question is this. I've heard things about Acrobat Pro, version 9. I've also heard there's an Extended version of Acrobat Pro 9 that includes LiveCycle Design ES. Could this be what we need to extend the capabilities of a form filled out in Reader? I think we'd be more comfortable selling them this version of Acrobat, as I'm sure it's far less pricey than the Reader Extensions.
We'd also like to be able to electronically sign the form in Reader, but again, we can't do that right now with Reader.
Is Acrobat Pro 9 Extended what we need?

    >I've also heard there's an Extended version of Acrobat Pro 9 that includes LiveCycle Design ES. Could this be what we need to extend the capabilities of a form filled out in Reader?
No. You already know what your options are. They haven't changed. Pro can grant Reader users the ability to save but it has a limit to the amount of uses per form that generally won't work for business use.
    >Is Acrobat Pro 9 Extended what we need?
You need the pricey LiveCycle Extensions for Reader.

  • Inserting Videos Without MS Word In Acrobat Pro 9 Extended

I've been experimenting with inserting videos as native content using Acrobat Pro 9 Extended. For my ebook publishing this is such an ideal situation, but I don't use MS Word, and there doesn't seem to be any real facility in Acrobat 9 to do simple formatting of the video object (like center it, for example.)
I do have an older version of Word (2000) but it doesn't have the menus listed that seem to inserted into newer versions.
Does anyone know what version of Word is required for this functionality?
Furthermore, is there another way to do this using some other program? I use OpenOffice typically, but could try others if need be.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Extended Will Not Recognize My Dell 3115cn Scanner

I recently upgraded from Acrobat 8 running on 32-Bit Windows XP to Acrobat Pro 9 Extended running on 64-Bit Windows 7.  When I attempt to create a PDF document from my scanner, I get the "The Unit Chosen Is Not Supported" error Message.  There seems to be no easy soultion for this problem, and I can find no solutions on Dell's or Adobe's websites.  The same scanner used to work with the older version of Acrobat running on Windows XP.  Please help if you have a solution.

I respect that you are employed by MicroSoft, but the compatability center is not always accurate.  It indicated that Adobe Pro 8 was compatabile for both 32 bit and 63 bit - but it is not.  I have upgraded to Adobe Pro 9 Extended because Adobe says that this is compatable with 64 bit.  The Microsoft compatability center also says that v9 is compatable with 64 bit.  But it is Not.  I have upgraded Adobe to 9.3.0, and it is Still not working.  I now have $700 invested in Adobe software that is non-functional due to W7 64 bit.
So although users can check the compatability center - as I did prior to purchasing my new laptop - but it may not be accurate.
And yes, I have updated the compatability center to indicate that the information there is incorrect.
I have searched/googled everything that I can think of, and still nothing helps.  If you have a suggestion how to make this work, I am listening.

  • Acrobat Acrobat Pro 9 Extended

I have rebuilt a PC that had a licenced version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended however I am unable to locate the install files.
Where can I download this from? I have installed Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 but the licence key will not work for that as it has to be the extended version.
    Thanks

PrimeNetworks did you purchase the software on CD?  If so then you will want to locate the installation media.   You can copy the installation files to a USB drive if your new computer does not have an optical drive.
If you purchased from Adobe directly, and choose the option to download the software as opposed to a CD, then it may be available under your account at http://www.adobe.com/.  You can find more details at Find a download link on Adobe.com.

  • I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro XI full version but the serial number given to me is invalid

I bought Adobe Acrobat Pro XI full version and the reseller sent me a serial number but when I install an error message says the serial number is invalid.
The reseller claimed it is Adobe's problem not theirs.
Adobe website is very confusing that I am not able to send an email to ask for help.
It has been a week since I bought it and I am still not able to enjoy the program.
How do I go about getting Adobe attention on my problem ?
    The reseller is:
    Digital River, International SARL
    98 Boulevard Du Prince
    L-1724 Luxembourg, Luxembourg
They replied my email as follows:
Unfortunately, we do not handle the customer service for Adobe Systems, Inc.

Ok, thanks for that. If the serial doesn't work, you will indeed need to contact Adobe. But here are some things to try first.
    1. Does it refer to a QUALIFYING PRODUCT? If so, enter the serial number of the OTHER product, not the one you just paid for.
    2. If you are copy/pasting the serial, try typing it. If you are typing it, try copy/pasting it.
    3. Make sure what you purchased matches what you downloaded. For instance, check you didn't buy Acrobat Standard and try to install Acrobat Pro. Or that you didn't buy a Mac product for use in Windows. And so on.

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended - How do you change the software language?

Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 Extended has been installed in German on my machine, is there a way like in most software to switch to the English language though some options?

In Acrobat Preferences, look under the section called (in English) "International" for "Application language".
There might, or might not, be other languages available.

How do I completely uninstall adobe acrobat pro 9 tial version
after it has expired?  Since this has expired I am having issues with other programs that use Adome A

If uninstalling Acrobat normally does not resolve the issue, you better ask in the appropriate Acrobat forum.  Don't forget to mention your OS and any relevant details.
You can continue this topic regarding your problem with Flash Player, but we also need to know your OS, browser, and the exact details of your problem.

  • Since july 2 I have Acrobat Pro (the paid version). But every time I start the program I get the screen with: this is a trial version. You have X days left, etc. I find that quite annoying.

Since july 2 I have Acrobat Pro (the paid version). But every time I start the program I get the screen with: this is a trial version. You have X days left, etc. I find that quite annoying.

This is not just annoying, it is wrong, because at the end of the trial it will stop completely. You must resolve it before then.
So, did you do anything to license the trial version? It needs to be told that you have purchased, or it will stop working at the end of the trial.

  • Acrobat Pro 9 Extended not available for CS5 Master Collection

    Hello Forum Folks:
I have a volume license account with 5 CS5 Master Collections.
As part of the CS5 MC suite Acrobat 9 Pro is included.
I was told by a sales rep that Acrobat 9 Pro Extended cannot be purchased as an upgrade from a suite product.
If I choose to purchase Acrobat 9 Pro Extended it would be as a stand alone product license at full price for all five licenses.
    MY DILEMMA:
I only need one of the features that Acrobat 9 Pro Extended offers that's not included in the Pro version.
If I purchase 5 stand alone copies of Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, I will have 5 additonal licenses of Acrobat
outside of my 5 CS5 Master Collection licenses to keep up with.
So in effect I'll have 10 licenses of 2 different versions of Acrobat 9 Pro and Extended to upgrade
sometime in the future in order to keep all uniform and in sync.
This is not an efficient nor economical way to stay current with Adobe's fine products.
The Case manager I spoke with did a fine job attempting to assist me but was unable to find an effective solution.
She recommended that I post on the forum and an Adobe staff member might be able to contact me
and address my concerns. Case Number: #204262178
    Thank You / Peace

  • Acrobat Pro XI Extended - Geospatial PDF

I generate maps using ArcMap 10.3.  This will export to PDF (simple or with layers). However, the layers must be very simplistic and small in file size.  I have clients that don't have the GIS software and are not GIS savvy.  I need a map viewer.
I read that Acrobat Pro Extended will save the maps in a geospatial PDF.  Right now I am using Acrobat Pro XI.  How do I or can I get the Extended version and will it generate geospatial PDF maps that will have layer information that can be viewed by Acrobat Reader users?

I think there may be some potential here.  Not exactly straightforward, such as using a map viewer would be, but probably workable.  I think I will wind up using a base map PDF, then creating various shape files with Python scripts to show what I need to show on the map, and then importing those shape files into the base map.  I will try this on a few of the maps I am working with and see if it will provide something of value to my clients.
    Thanks,
    Benny
