Captivate will not record ALL screen movements

I have been using Camtashia and recently move to another
company where they want to start using Captivate. I just bought
Captiveate and I am getting very aggrevated! Captivate will not
record all my movements with the mouse or when a screen changes. It
appears that everything is driven by an actual mouse click. Only
when I move my mouse around and then click will it actuall record
the "action".
Please tell me there is a way for Captivate to record all
mouse movements, keystrokes, changes in applications just as I see
it when I am actually doing the recording.
I dont need all this fancy highlighting and project wizards,
I just simply want Captivate to record EXACTLY what I do and see
while I am recording.
PLEASE HELP!

Hi Tmy8ster and welcome to our community
No doubt you are frustrated if you are expecting Captivate to
behave like Camtasia. Yes, both create similar output, but both
accomplish it in entirely different ways.

Captivate 5 Not recording actions in Automatic mode but records in FMR

Hi, I am trying to create a software simulation of SharePoint. The users need to be shown how to edit pages, profiles, etc. I am running Captivate 5 as administrator. The operating system is Windows 7. The problem is when I record the actions in Automatic mode, some of the actions are not captured; for example when chosing a profile picture from an explorer window, clicking Save and Close button on the edit profile page. However, when I record these same actions in FMR, everything is captured. Now that it adds extra work for me to insert captions in the FMR, wanted to check why Captivate is not capturing all the actions in Automatic Demo mode. Your help is much appreciated.

In order for Captivate to perform an automatic capture it has to 'hear' the screen event, e.g. a button click, load of a dialog box, drop-down menu etc. Some software advertises these events well, others don't. In almost all software you'll typically need to do SOME manual captures, and for some software you'll need to do lots. Sounds like SharePoint might fall into the latter category.

Firefox will not retain all saved settings on BBC Website

The BBC Home page will not retain all settings.
The local area page (weather and news) is fine, but each time I increment the number of news stories, both national and local to the maximum, it returns to the default when I restart Firefox. It worked fine on previous versions of FF.
I have deleted the cookie and restarted FF, and this worked, but it has now returned to the default. FF=4.0.1

Its not just the web site that is recorded, but the page also.
Did you open your history ( '''Control Shift H''' ) and search for the site ?

Captivate 7 not recording clicks suddenly

I have been using Captivate for about 2.5 years now and have never experienced this problem. Two days ago, I didn't have an issue, but today it will not record my "clicks" when attempting to record a software simulation. However, it will record any keyboard actions. I've checked settings and it is set to automatically record, so I'm not sure what's going on. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! thank you!

OPM Actual Cost Process not selecting all Inventory Movements

We have completed 27 Move Immediate transactions (TRNI) but only 2 of the transactions appear in the Actual Cost Transactions View so our PMAC cost is not as expected. Those 2 transactions were in Sept '09. All other transactions happened in Apr, May, Jun of 2009. On July 7 the profile option "GMF: Include Inventory Movements in Actual Cost" was changed to YES. Does this mean that the Actual Cost Process will not pick up those move immediate transactions that occured before July 2009?

Yes...exactly, since you have closed all the said periods before u run your Actual cost process, and later you changed your profile option.
If you want, that all the transactions (TRNI) to be in Actual process as View, Functionally (I mean from front end) it is not possible now, but u can make use of PL/SQL Language by means of technical help then you can open those periods from back end and then do the set up from front end, and then you may able to view those transactions.
It is purely technical help and require some gud stuff to do this.

Hp Pavilion dv6120ca with Hp ExpressCard Digital/Analog TV Tuner in Windows 7 32bit, will not record

I have a Pavilion dv6120ca notebook with the HP ExpressCard D/A TV Tuner running Windows 7 - 32bit
All installs and works fine except that it will not record with either Windows media center or HP quick Play.

Quit the mail app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. My purchased I-tunes songs will not import to I-Movie or I-DVD

Just recently every time I export a purchased I-Tunes song to I-Movie or I-DVD, I get a pop-up saying that the song is not authorized to be played on my computer. Even though the all the purchased songs play fine while in I-Tunes itself they will not export to I-Movie or I-DVD. Each time the pop-up comes up to authorize the song, I go through and authorize it, and it tells me it was successful. It lied. The songs still do not export even though I authorized the computer. I have noticed to a tiny little lock in the upper left hand corner of the icon for the songs, but only for the purchased songs. I think that may be part of the problem. I'm not alone with this problem. I have spoken with other frustrated people with the identical problem. The purchased songs exported just fine until recently. I was told by a computer nerd that the problem lies with quicktime which doesn't allow I-tunes to export to I-Tunes or I-DVD. Apple Support was not helpful. Does anyone know how to fix this problem. Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS. So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
- What version of iPhoto.
- What version of the Operating System.
- Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
- History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
- Are there error messages?
- What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
- Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

All songs play on the laptop windows 8. The second Ipod touch we have - all songs synch to it and play.
But the first Ipod touch we bought - only half (or so) of the songs synch. So I assume there is an issue with the newer Ipod touch. The songs not synching are songs I added to the library from CD's.

The music and videos sync to the 4G, but apps & podcast will not. All are checked to sync. During sync, it gets to "determining apps to sync" then immediately goes to "finished syncing". No apps or podcasts from my Mac itunes are on the touch 4G.

You can only sync to one iTunes library but you can manage music and videos among different computer/libraries.
It appears that you are trying to sync with a different library.
- If you want to make the Mac you syncing computer:
--- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by:
iOS: How to back up
--- Restore the iPod from that backup. Note that synced media like apps and music are not in included in the backup.
