Captivate8 shut off automatically

Captivate8 has just been install by our technician on my corporate laptop (window7).
However captivate shuts off automatically every time i start using the question slide or quiz, it won't let me edit any questions.
Do I need reinstalling?
Is it because i's corporate network?
Please help.

I could be that your Default Locations (in Edit > Preferences > General > Default Locations) are pointing at network locations, or that you are not able to use Launch As Administrator privileges to run Captivate because your user profile does not have Administrator Privileges.

How to keep that valve open for certain period of time and shut off automatically

Hi everyone,
The objective of the VI is to measure pH and then open acid or base valve based on pH valve. Below is my UNFINISHED VI
My question is: if, for example, the pH is 10, then, the program will open acidic valve for 5 seconds and then shut off automatically. After that, wait for 5 second. this process will go on and on as I use while loop, but I just dont know how to control the valve on for 5sec and off and then wait for 5sec.
Anyone can help me out? Thank you very much

1. The reason the valves close immediately is that the Elapsed Time VI does not cause any wait, it only measures the time. So the valves closed within a small fraction of a second of the time they opened.
2. I modified your VI to wait until the Elapsed Time has ended. See the "wait" state. I probably modified some of your other functionality in the process, but this shows one way you could do the timing.
3. You do not need any Value property nodes. They should never be used if the value can be wired directly.
4. You do not need any sequence structures. Dataflow will determine the order of things occurring.
5. If you use an enum for the state machine (and it is a good way to name and select states), you should make it a type def. Then when you need to change it as I did to add several states, you only need to change the Type Def in one place and the changes propagate through to every place you used the control or constants derived from it.
6. I added a Halt state which will close both valves before stopping the program. When you are controlling a real world process, it is important to consider the start up and shutdown requirements. For example the digital outputs of the USB-6008 default to inputs when the device is first powered up. And, the inputs are pulled high by a 4700 ohm resistor (at least I think I recall that value). Will this open your valves before the program starts running and sets the I/O lines to outputs and forces them low?
The USB-6008 has rather limited drive on the digital lines. You will probably need a buffer between it and the valve coils.
PID and PWM are more complicated than I want to get into here. First, are your valves proportional or on/off? Second, (assuming that they are on/off) how fast can you open and close them without destroying them in the first week? What is their expected lifetime in terms of the number of operations? How fast do you need to be able to change them to keep your pH where you want it? Are these values compatible?

HT1933 Every time I try to open my iTunes app it will open then shut off automatically. What can I do? HELP!!

So every time I tap on my iTunes app bubble it'll open but then it'll shut off automatically. I don't know what to do. I shut off my phone and turned it back on two times and it's still messing up. Someone help please!!!

3rd gen nano shuts off automatically

When I dock my 3rd gen nano into my Bose portable it randomly shuts off and displays the battery charging screen on the nano.
When I press the start button the Bose remote the nano will play again for a few songs then shut off again. This doesn't happen with my ipod video.

I called Apple Support last night to make sure they are aware of this problem. While on the line, we tested a few scenarios, and it seems that the nano only shuts off automatically if the pause / play buttons are used on the Bose Sounddock remote. When I started the nano using its controls rather than the remote, everything worked fine, including adjusting the volume, skipping songs. Only the play / pause button caused the problem, but really, who knows at this point.
I also noticed this problem only after "upgrading" to firmware 1.0.2. I will try to restore the nano to its factory settings this evening (1.0.1) and see what happens.

First, please try this: Remove the battery pack from the camera and close the battery compartment. Now Press and hold down the power button for 5 seconds. Replace the battery pack and turn the camera on.

This is not a common occurrence. You should make an appointment at an Apple Store to have the phone checked.

5c shut off automatically and wont turn back on

My iPhone 5c shut off automatically and wont turn back on. I tried to turn it back on and it didn't work, so then, I went to plug it into the charger. It didn't start up or show the apple logo, it just vibrated every five seconds. So after awhile I went on to iTunes and tried to see if I could reset the factory settings, after it attempted to download it said that I needed to type in my password on my phone, but how was I suppose to do that if I can't turn my phone on in the first place??? (By the way, I accidentally dropped it, about five inches off of the ground, about an hour prior to this happening. so I don't know if dropping it had anything to do with it, because it seemed fine after I picked it up.) Help. Really, really, REALLY need it. thanks.

Hp touchpad tablet shut off automatically in every 5 min or so

I just got touchpad and it's just keep shutting off in every 5 min or so. If I m not even using it. Is there anything I can do to stop it.

Get your TouchPad ready to update
Hold the Power Button for several seconds until a menu appears.

Iphone 3gs powers off/shuts off automatically/randomly when using various apps.

Did update recently (about 2-3 weeks ago) and have been experiencing problems with phone automatically shutting down/off in the middle of various apps. I-phone says operating system is Version 4.3.5 (8L1). This random power-off has happened in Safari, Facebook, different games, Words w Friends, mobile newspaper apps, news apps, etc. The only way to get phone back on is to plug it in to power source. This occurs no matter how full or low the battery is charged. Any ideas???

I'd say it was the phone if it's switching it's self off.
If it was just a signal issue then that would be O2, but not if it's turning it's self off. Phone apple to get an appointment at an apple store, they can test it and replace if necc.

How do I shut off automatic button navigation?

I don't seem to have the choice in preferences it just has buttons navigate automatically right or left or up or down...I want to shut them off I have version 4.2.0 mac osx 10.5.6 version, 2x2.8 ghz quad core intel thanks

On the menu screen, in the upper right corner, you will find a button for "Settings". Make sure "Auto Assign Buttons Continuously" is not checked.
Then you can select each button individually and then look at the Inspector. Hit the Advanced tab and you will see you can program the Up, Down, Left, Right buttons however you want.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked. Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.

Why does my shuffle shut off automatically?

While running with my shuffle, the music stopped abruptly after approx. 32 minutes even though the voice was saying the battery was 75%. I could not reset it after turning it off for 5 seconds. I later re-installed/re-registered and this worked for a couple of times and then one day the music to stop after 43 minutes. Is there a setting or something that I need to revise?

Go to /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and look for these files:
com.apple.AutoWake.plist
com.apple.PowerManagement.plist.
Trash them and then restart your Mac. Go back to System Preferences and reset your Energy Saver settings.

I think that a response to an entry you make when it was turned on, the flag is tied to that entry. So you may need to wait it out until the whole post fades away. New posts will not have the flag, since you have turned it off.

I am having the same problem! I have an iPhone 4S, and last night before I went to bed I tried to update to IOS 6.1. It was taking a while, I must've fallen asleep while waiting for it to update. I woke up this morning and my phone alarm had not gone off. I looked at my phone screen and it appeared to be off. I held down the "Hold" button, thinking it had turned itself off, and it displayed the Apple logo and then the "Plug into iTunes" screen. I plugged it into my computer, and iTunes said I needed to restore it. I have tried several times, and it won't work. It will go through the process (it takes about 15 minutes), and then as it is finishing, a window will pop-up saying "the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored". I am worried because it won't restore, and also because my iPhone isn't named "iPhone". It is named something else. Could my iPhone be damaged from the IOS 6.1 update? It was working perfectly normally last night, I have not dropped it or gotten it wet. I am updated to the most recent iTunes update, and Apple's Troubleshooting Tips are not helping at all. Anyone have any ideas?

XpressMusic shutting off automatically!

i once accidently connected my 5610 XpressMusic through PC suite with a virus infected computer. i had a 2GB micro SD card in the phone to which i was trying to send some songs. my phone shut down immediately. after i removed my SD card the phone started. since then i have noticed that my phone runs fine without any card inside, but the moment i put any microSD card, it becomes unstable and shuts down. what could be the possible problem.

It is most likely an issue with the cards you are using especially if they are used or a poor quality brand.
Have you tried formatting the memory card in the phone?
Also if you can try a brand new unused good quality card in the phone, again format it using the phone.
If after all that it still isn't working then take your phone to a nokia care point for inspection. They will be able to tell if it's a faulty card reader or faulty phone software.
You could also try a software update, if one is available: www.nokia.com/softwareupdate
None of the problems will have been caused by a windows based virus as they cannot infect nokia phones.
