Captivates compatible with Logitech Presenter?

Hello all,
we are using Captivate mainly as an aid for those who are
giving presentations to clients.
I'm just wondering if this Presenter tool is working with
Captivate 3 movies. It is working perfectly with Powerpoint, only
the presenters want to use it with Captivate...

I have a Logitech rechargeable speaker, Model S315i which I have been using with my ipod touch. I looked on their website and it states that it is compatible with the iPhone 4, but doesn't say anything about the iPhone 4s. Does anyone know if it would be compatible with the 4s? I haven't owned an iPhone yet so I'm not sure if the docking configuration is the same. The nice thing about this speaker is that it charges your device while it's playing or docked. Any help would be appreciate.

Yes, Keynote is iWork's PowerPoint equivalent. You can save as a PowerPoint file as well. Very easy to use IMO.

Captivate is not compatible with Windows Vista RTM

I can confirm that Captivate 2 is not compatible with Windows
Vista (RTM Final MSDN). I have been testing it on several systems
with various versions of Vista. It had partial success with RC2,
but with RTM it crashes quite frequently (when vista is drawing new
windows). I can't tell however if captivate is directly responsible
or if it is perhaps an incompatible version of Flash (current using
latest version 9 beta) that is to blame. However, since Vista is at
RTM then I would say that it is now the responsibility of Adobe to
fix the compatibility issues with a new update. Technically vista
is not due to domestic market until january 07, however businesses
will be able to purchase vista in only two weeks, and as Captivate
is generally used for business/training use i would certainly think
that it should be of high importance that these issues are
resolved.
Can anyone else comment on their experiences with Captivate
and Vista?

You have a valid point. However, you are making it in the
wrong venue. How? Well, Adobe doesn't normally make it a habit of
visiting the peer-to-peer support forums. This means users
supporting users. If you are concerned that Adobe is aware of this
issue, you should really consider using a different channel. The
Wish Form. And you can easily get there by simply
clicking
here.
Now I don't claim to be a guru of anything in particular, but
it seems to me that businesses are very slow to adopt things. They
tend to take a very pragmatic and slow approach. Many are just now
making the leap to XP! So I'm guessing that Vista will be slow to
gain ground. I'm also confident that the Captivate team is well
aware of the Vista issues and will be addressing them as best they
can.

Is Captivate not compatible with IVONAs SAPI5 voices?

Hi!
I am using Captivate 6 and TTS to create training material. I've tried 5 voices from Neospeech but they all sound too much like a computer. I read that Captivate works with SAPI5-compatible voices so I bought a SAPI5-voice from IVONA (Amy).
I read about the issue that IVONA voices needs to be selected as default in Windows, but that was easily done. The voice sounds very well. My problem is that I can not control the pronounciation?
The pronounciation of Neospeech voices could be controlled using VTML-tags. Unfortunatelly there was no tag for emphasis so the control was quite limited.
I tried to use both VTML-tags and SAPI5-tags to control the pronounciation of IVONA-voice in Captivate but whatever I do, the voice reads all tags out loud, not following them. I even tried to add extra "." and "," to create a pause between sentences but nothing works.
To make sure the problem was not with the voice I tried SAPI-tags in the TTS-editor from IVONA and it worked well.
Any idea how to control pronounciation of IVONA voices in Captivate?

Just an update. I contacted Adobe support and their answer was that third party voices can be used in Captivate but there is no way to control the pronounciation or adding pauses in Captivate. This is only possible for Neospeech voices where you may use VTML-tags. According to me that means that Captivate is NOT really compatible with 3rd party voices, SAPI5-complient or not.
The 5-6 included voices from Neospeech all sound too robotic and my client was amused rather than impressed when hearing them. I really wanted to use a quality voice and bought Amy from IVONA. I am very disappointed that it can't be used easily in Captivate. The work around is to record a sound-file for each page and import, which will take twice as long for each page and be harder to keep updated.

Is Captivate 2 backwards compatible with Captivate 1?
For example, would it be just the new features that would be
disabled if I opened a Captivate 2 file in Captivate 1 such as
scenarios, or would the whole file be unopenable.
Also, how does the import work if I'm bringing a file in from
Captivate 1? Do I just open it or would I need to rework anything?
Also in Captivate 1, I've had to hand-write special htm files
for the Active X problem. Are these sorted out in Captivate 2?
I'm ready to release some training and I'm wondering if I
should upgrade it before it goes out, e.g. to add some scenarios.
But if it requires too much rework, I don't have the time right
now.

Yes, I do believe they have addressed the special coding
required to handle the "click to activate this control" message we
now see. So you shouldn't need to do anything special with respect
to this issue.

Any device that Palm manufaturers currently should be able to get the data from the older device.
Although Palm doesn't make handhelds anymore you can get a smartphone and transfer the data over to it without issue.
If you go to the new WebOS you can transfer the data over it just might take a little work.

Each time i add equation in Powerpoint with the tools equation of office, presenter don't transform my slide in flash animation.
If i transform my equation in picture, presenter can transform slide in flash animation but this solution is not efficacious.
Do you know if equation tools of microsoft is compatible with presenter ?
