Captive/Internal consumption

Hi,
I want to map Captive consumption in which
1. few products are consumed internally
2. Few products are moved to other plant premise of both the plants are same but mapped as different plant in SAP.
can i map point 1.  from MM side?ie. MB1B with 201 movement type, also will i be able to create excise invoice?
also for point 2.  can i map through normal  STO proces?

  • SAP SD Internal Consumption of Product

    Hi to All,
We are in upstream oil and gas company , and we are using SAP SD to create sales order , oubound delivery and generating billing document for our customers.
Some of our product such as Gas is used internally for the solar turbines. Now we need to map the same in SAP SD.
Previously we were entering the this JE in the SAP system directly:
GAS USED FOR DOM.& IND.PURPOSES-TURBINE    Rs: 15000 (DR)
GAS USED FOR SOLAR TURBINE Rs: 15000 (CR)
now debit entry is created against the expense instead of customer. In our sales to customer we used to debit customer against our sales , but how can we expense out the amount against the sales directly. As this sales amount is used by the company itself.
I need to generate to create the same journal entry as mentioned above.
    Thanking you all in advance.
    Please help me on this.
    Best Regards,
    Samad Farooq

    HI
I guess you will have to do a stock transfer for own consumption using transaction MB1A with movement type 201 or any other consumption movement types relevant for the scenario.
Please check with your MM consultant.

  • Assign Cost Center for Internal Consumption in Sales Order

    Dear Experts,
I have a scenario is that Marketing Manager want to give a gift to his customer, the expense of this gift will be charged to Marketing Department. As the law, the invoice of this gift is required with the posting as below:
    Dr Expense acc 5000 USD
    Cr Revenue acc 5000 USD
(Assume that there is no tax)
I create a Sales Order with the Product is the Gift that will give to customer, and I also assign the Cost Center as Marketing Department. The problem is when I generate the billing document from this Sales Order, the system throw the error: Cost Center XYZ (Marketing Department) is not allowed posting revenue. This error happen because I don't want to post revenue to Cost Center, I want only Expense will be posted to Cost Center. But because I assigned Cost Center in header of Sales Order, system will post both revenue an expense to this CO object. Now what I want to do is post Expense to Cost Center, revenue to Profit Segment. Is it possible and what I need to do if it is possible?
    Regards
    Truc Nguyen

    please try this.
please maintain revenue account in account determination
orgdist.cust a/cass. groumaterial acc.assi. groupaccount key. and revenue account.

  • Production: Bill of Material (BOM) Internal Consumption...

    Hello Experts,
I am getting problem in Using a parent product in BOM as component item (as child in same BOM).
It gives an ERROR :>> "Item is already defined at higher level in the product tree."
    Help Required .....
    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply,
Actually we are in chemical manufacturing, in caustic soda liquid production caustic soda itself is used. That is why I would like to achieve this functionality. i.e. I wanted to add the Parent product that is Caustic Soda in BOM of Caustic Soda.

  • Material Consumption for internal purposes

    Hi all gurus
I'm facing this issue: one of my customer uses some of their products for internal consumption.
Obviously this consumption erodes stock and its valuation.
Simply there's no economic transaction so there's no sell no delivery no invoice.
    How i'm gonna manage this?
A 562 movement? If i'm not wrong it register the erosion and the minor value of the stock.
Is that all or I'm not considering something I should?
Your opinions and suggests are welcome.
    Regards,
    Pierluigi Caberlotto

    Hi,
If your inventorized item is the valuated stock, then any stock removal/issuance will result in a generation of accounting document regardless of how you are going to use it (in-house production or external sales).
    Cheers,
    HT

  • Wishlist for examples - internal corporate dev

So far, I think Studio is great. I would love to see some examples that cater to corporate developers who build web apps for internal management. We see a lot of e-commerce type examples like Pet Market or examples of web services that connect to the Internet or stuff geared to developers catering to clients.
Much of what I have to do (and I'm sure I'm not alone) revolves around different types of mini project applications for internal consumption. For example, we're building a project communications site.
The site had to allow users on each team to upload MS Word docs and Excel files and provide a link to the those files on each teams site and provide email notification to individual teams each time a file is uploaded or deleted. Anyone can search for a document or file. The front page had to have 3 columns, with the middle devoted to "Updates" that each team leader could post to and that would also require email notification as well. The user would not be required to write links or any other html. There were also requests for an event calendar, a meeting list by team and date in list format and a section to track decision making.
    Other apps requested include;
    *mortagage calulator that calulates actual/360, actual/actual, 30/360 and prints out amortization schedules;
    *tracking committee priorities as well as an easy way to format committee reports in pdf for printing;
    *a vacation calendar;
    *scheduling 100's of conference rooms over a 6 state area;
    *tracking goals and performance
*keeping track of the corporate track team-:)
All have to be data driven, all formatted with CSS and it all has to look good.

Thank you for your list - we are always interested in hearing what our customers would like to see from us.
Does anyone else have suggestions for sample applications, tutorials, code samples, etc? We would love to hear your ideas.
    ~Jen

  • Internal PO without Invoice

Our scenario to create a PR to PO for a material that is manufactured in-house.  The PR/PO material is of material type ERSA.  This PO is then sent to our internal sales team who generates a Sales Order.  The Sales Order material is a different material of material type FERT.  The material is then produced in-house and delivered to the appropriate location.  The SD team can configure the Sales document to not include billing.
Our requirement from an MM side is to determine if it is possible to use some type of Internal PO and to do the GR with the accounting entries generated but not require an invoice.  I realize we can block the invoice from being created but we don't want the invoice to be pending at all.

    Hi Jurgen,
The Internal Manufacturing is at the same plant.
Maybe some further explanation will help understand how we arrived at using the PR/PO process. We have recently implemented SAP after transitioning from a home built system that was used for nearly 30 years.  Due to the major complexities during transition we utilized a similar process to which was used in our previous system for internal consumption of material.
Our company manufactures steel and one of our departments called Shops uses this steel to manufacture many things for use around the plant.  Shops currently stocks these plates as ERSA materials controlled through MRP based on the amount of weight of the material left in stock.  When the quantity falls below a certain point the MRP triggers a planned order which is converted into a PR and PO sent to our sales team.  The ERSA material has a short and long description of exactly what size and type of material is required.
The sales team then creates the SO based on the information in the descriptions on the PO and the material entered onto the SO is a FERT material.  This material is specified through many characteristics using Variant Configuration such as Guage, Length, etc.  All of the values in these characteristics are utilized during the production cycle to produce the steel.
Given this I can't think of how to avoid the use of a PO where a person is converting the material specs into the VC on the SO.  Is there some way we can utilize the FERT material through an MRP run while capturing all of these VC inputs automatically?  How would the production order capture or know this information?  Since there is a single FERT material called "Plate" that can be configured in many different ways to essentially produce a completely different variation of the material how can this be automated based on the Shops departments needs?

  • In house consumption of own products

Is there a standard SAP methodology to handle inhouse (internal) consumption for a company's own products for asset capitalization, as gifts to employees or gifts. This is a one time activity. e.g. once in a while a company decides to issue its own products as gifts for disbursal to anyone (employee, vendor, etc.) or for own products to be used as company assets.

i read a blog post that you can deploy patches via a Deployment Type for a Application. I configured a Deployment Type as Script Installer for my main Installation (the Main Application is already Deployed) and as the detection method i used "Fileversion".
The Problem now is that i cannot see the Patch in the Software Center of the client PC. Anybody knows why? The Main Installation is located in the ccmcache of the Client PC but not that Patch... (MSP) The Patch is from our own Product.
When i look into the AppDiscoveryLog with CMTrace i can see this:

  • Materials used for internally and used for sales

    Dear friends,
Our client PCCD has got the requirement that the some of raw materials are used in their plant and some times same raw materials sell to his customer.
Example:Pipes are used for internal consumption and as well as for selling the same pipes for Customer.
In this How to define these material as ROH and activate the sales view for ROH?
Or keep the ROH as it is for the raw materials and raw materials which are used for both the purpose can be defined as ZROH with Sales view.?
WIth This ZROH can it be used for internal use as well as for selling .
    Suggest me the solution.
    Regards,
    canand

    hi,
i think u can use Semi finished material type.
u have to activate the purchase and sale view.

This behavior might be attributed to Axis inclusion.
Web service actions and wizards supported by Weblogic can be found at:
    File->New->Other->Oracle->WebLogic->Web Services
Can you provide more detail about your starting point wsdl? or JWS? and information around what generation actions you used?
    Thanks

    Hi
Looks like an eclipse/NDS error, upgrade to the next sp (may be some components were missing during the installation). Check the installation log of NDS.

    Hello
You have to configure server for Web Service creation. In NWDS follow the path:  Window->Preferences-> Web Services-> Server and runtime
and (the same path) Services registry.

  • How to determine the real (effective) Service Level ov a material?

    Hello Experts,
I have Service Levels of for example 92% or 98% for a material set up in the material master data ( MARC-LGRAD ). This shall mean in reality, that I can deliver in 92% or 98% of the cases the needed goods in the right quantity. Only in 8% or 2% of the cases I can not do that. Maybe I have nothing of that material in stock to deliver or I only have not enough of it.
The Service Level is one of the aspects affecting the reorder point and safety stock.
No I want determine for my materials what the "real" Service Level is based on maybe the deliveries?
Is there a standard report of SAP to check this? If not: does anyone has some hints for me how to code it myself?
    Best Regards
    Manfred

    Hi Manfred,
This information is a bit tricky, becuase you don't always have it in the business process.
One of easy sources, is if you plan for sales, then you can see both what was ordered versus what was actually delivered.
But if you plan for internal consumption, lets say somebody goes to the store, and if the material is not there nothing is recorded in the system to testify for that.
    Regards,
    Mario

  • Lot size not being generated

    The scenario is as follows:
We have raw material for our internal consumption. for some reason, we have parted with some of the raw material one of the customer/competitor. since we have batch management in our company, we did maintain so. the objective of maintaining batch is to ease the tracing / tracking of the material.
1.material(raw matl - matl type ROH) created. posted goods receipt with movement type 561. batch no. generated.
2 subsequently, sales order created, delivered, billed. accounting doc generated.
3 Further, returns sales doc generated, delivered and posted goods receipt and returned material directly taken into Quality Inspection.
4 Inspection plan generated with inspection characteristics. control key used is "QM01"
Now, system should generate the lot size for the material returned by the customer, which is not happened so far.
Can someone guide as to how to generate the Inspection Lot?

    Hi
Try with this but I am not sure.
In Material Master, select "<b>Quality Management</b>" tab and include Inspection Type <b>05</b> and select "<b>Active</b>".
By doing this, as and when <b>PGR</b> (Post Goods Receipt) is done, the respective stock will go to quality automatically.
    Thanks
