Capture can't find timecode

Someone has given me a 8mm tape to put on dvd. It plays in an older DV camera. The time code starts as a negative munber and soon goes to positive. I try to "capture now" and it just keeps searching for the timecode. What can I do?

Can't find Clip that is choking Batch Capture

I'm getting a Timecode error saying Final Cut has reached the end of the tape when it tries to capture a particular clip. I can't delete the clip because it's not showing up in my browser window! In other words, it doesn't exist. Is there such a thing as invisible files in Final Cut Pro?

The thing that's got me the most confused is when I go over to my batch capture list to see what the timecode indicates, the clip that it's having probelms with isn't listed. It doesn't exist. How do I fix a clip's timecode parameters if I can't find the clip listed anywhere. The only time I can see the name of the file (clip) is when batch capture is happening and the program lists the clip it's trying to capture. The name of the clip ends with a number. The last clp closest to it has the number CU 5-1. The program is trying to capture CU 5-2...but there is no CU 5-2!
What's going on?

I have Snow Leopard 10.6.1 on my macbook pro and for the life of me, I can not find the Image Capture application. I might have accidentally deleted it with App Zapper... is there somewhere I can download load it?
Please, please help as i need it to scan from my HP PSC 2410 as the HP Scan Pro is not compatible with Snow Leopard

Also note that at the moment the PSC 2410 is not supported for Scanning. It is currently listed as Print only support for Snow Leopard. That being said, we are wrapping up testing on In-OS scan drivers for the PSC 2410 (as well as many other additional devices) and assuming testing doesn't uncover any problems, and also assuming everything else goes well, you should be scanning again by the end of the month. Of course that doesn't help today.
For today (and I really can't recommend doing this because of all the old software that gets installed that my screw really screw things up) you could install the 10.4 solution for your device and run it under Rosetta. Of course I do recommend against it, and it is way unsupported, but some people have reported it working.

Sysprep and Capture Task Sequence Fails "Can not find script file C:\LTIBootstrap.vbs"

I've just installed Windows 8 on a Lenovo ThinkPad T440s using Lenovo's recovery discs. I did not join it to a domain. I logged in as Administrator, navigated to our deployment share, and ran Scripts\LiteTouch.wsf. I selected the new Sysprep and Capture
Task Sequence that I just made, told it to upload to DeploymentShare$\Captures, then started the Task Sequence.
It seemed to run fine until after the first reboot. Windows 8 configured the PC for a while, then displayed an error that it had been shut down unexpectedly. I wasn't sure if this was normal, so I just clicked OK. Then I got an error that said "Can
not find script file C:\LTIBootstrap.vbs". After clicking OK on that, I am brought to the desktop.
The image cannot be found in DeploymentShare$\Captures. Under the Monitoring section of the DeploymentWorkbench, I can see that MDT thinks the Task Sequence is still running on the machine (though it is not), with progress stuck on step 16 of 23: Execute
Sysprep. There are 0 errors and 0 warnings listed.
BDD.log is too long to post all of it, but here's the last few lines in case that's helpful.

You might get teh c:\LTIBootStrap.vbs error if you are running SysPrep with a unattend.xml template that contains the c:\bootstrap.vbs template, yet you are *NOT* deploying the image with MDT Litetouch, instead just applying the image to the final machine.
Crack open your install.wim file and search for the unattend.xml file in the normal places to see what it is.
I am concerned about the "shut down unexpectedly" error. There should be no shutdown state information left from a captured *.wim file.
If you still need assistance, please feel free to copy the bdd.log file to a public site like OneDrive, and share the link.

After upgrading to mountain lion,my HP device manager can't find scanner

I have an HP Photosmart C5550 All-in-One printer scanner.
The HP device manager can't find the scanner. Printer works fine.
I upgraded from Lion to Mountain Lion and this is my problem now.

Try the HP Photosmart C5500 series app in /username/Library/Printers/, HP Utility->Devices in /Library/Printers/hp/Utilities/, Image Capture, or Preview->File->Import from scanner option.

The Camera Roll is for temporary storage. Photos/videos in the Camera Roll can and should be imported by your computer ASAP as with any other digital camera. The Camera Roll is also included with the iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process.
If the photos/videos were not imported by your computer and your iPhone wasn't synced with iTunes since the photos/videos were captured by your iPhone,
There is another way to recover deleted photo from iPhone 4.

Envy 7640 Can't Find 'Scan Settings'

I have an Envy 7640 E-All-In-One printer, S/N: TH4B1260YY, FPU: E4W43-64001. I am currently using OS X Yosemite, v10.10.1, with no outstanding updates on a Mac mini (Late 2014), 2.8 Ghz Intel Core i5 with 8 GB RAM. There are no error messages on the device or my computer.
I have installed the printer using the HP full-featured driver, dated 2014-09-01, version 12.39, provided by the HP Support website. The setup completed successfully, the printer is working great on the wireless network, and printer features work fine. When provided the option, I also installed HP Scan. The HP Scan standalone program opens, but does not detect any devices or scanners.
On a nearby Windows 7 machine, I was able to setup the scanner and use it from the software for that OS. Scanning directly from the device and emailing the scan, as well as webscan functions also work. I am certain the issue is NOT with the device scanner itself.
I followed the troubleshooting guide found here, and completed solution #1. I was not able to complete solution #2 because in my HP Utility I do not have a "Scan Settings" option. Here is a screen grab of my HP Utility view:
I also completed solution #3 (repair disk permissions) and solution #4 (check connectivity). Both completed without issue. I then performed solution #5 (reinstall the printer software), setup the printer again without issue for printer functionality, but still do not have a scan settings in HP Utility.
Please help!

I would like to do a manual uninstall, follow the instructions below. I apologize in advanced this is not a fun task! I will try to make it easy to follow. Some of the files described in the following steps may not be found, if you can't find one of the files or folders on your computer, don't be alarmed, skip the step and move to the next step.
Move the files and/or folders to the trash, drag and drop
Macintosh HD/Applications//Hewlett-Packard folder
Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/ - delete all files and folders regarding HP/Hewlett Packard
In Macintosh HD/Library/Caches - delete all files and folders regarding HP/Hewlett Packard
Macintosh HD/Library/Documentation/Help/ - delete all files and folders regarding HP/Hewlett Packard
Macintosh HD/Library/Frameworks/HPServicesInterface.framework
Macintosh HD/Library/Frameworks/HPSmartX.framework
Macintosh HD/Library/Image Capture/TWAIN Data Sources/HP Scan Pro
In Macintosh HD/Library/Image Capture/Scripts - delete all files and folders regarding HP/Hewlett Packard
In Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences - delete all files and folders regarding HP/Hewlett Packard
Move Macintosh HD/Library/Preferences/loginwindow.plist to the desktop. NOTE: Not removing the file loginwindow.plist during the manual uninstall could cause the uninstall to be unsuccessful.
In Macintosh HD/Library/Printer/hp - delete folder
In Macintosh HD/Library/StartupItems, drag the following folders to the trash, HP IO and HP Trap Monitor
In Macintosh HD/Users/USERNAME (this should have a symbol of a house next to it)/Library/Preferences, drag the following folders to the trash: *Any files beginning with com.apple.print, *Any files beginning with com.hp, *Any files beginning with Hewlett-Packard, *Any files beginning with HP or hp
In MacintoshHD/Users/USERNAME/Library/Printers, drag any All-in-One printers listed here into the trash.
Drag the HP icons from the Dock and drop it on an empty space on the desktop. The icon will disappear.
Close all open windows.
Restart.
Empty the Trash.
After logging in, Repair Disk Permissions
On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
Once the repair is complete, restart the computer .
Restart the computer.
Install the software we download earlier, once the software is successfully installed we can then delete the loginwindow.plist from the desktop.
Download and install the full feature software again; HP-ENVY-7640-series_v12.39.0.dmg
Restart both the computer and the printer and check the HP utility for the scan options again.

Iphone 4 Can't "find" Wifi

Hey all. I had an iPhone 3gs with iOS 4 installed, and it was able to connect to my wifi network.
When I bought the iPhone 4, it can no longer connect to my wifi.
For reference, MAC filtering is NOT on.
Also, I am NOT broadcasting the SSID of my wifi network.
In short, the iPhone 3gs was able to connect regardless of the network name not broadcasting, whereas the iPhone 4 simply states it cannot find my network.
Any tips?

You say you're not broadcasting the SSID of your home network (no real reason not to since anyone with Netstumbler or the ability to read a wireless packet capture can find your SSID in seconds)... did you manually add in your home wireless network on the iPhone 4?
If you did and you're still having problems, have you picked the correct security method, spelled the SSID correctly, and entered in the correct pre-shared key or whatever you're using to secure your wireless network?

Can't find my scanner in Mavericks

My HP 1522nf MFP network printer prints fine. I can find it under my printer and scanners in the setting. However, it doesn't show up as a device in Image Capture and HP Utilities can't find it either. HP scan which worked with Lion and below doesn't work any more. I get a ""HP Scan" can't be opened as it is from an unidentified developer"
Anyone have some help?
I was able to get the image I wanted by using my macbook which still has Lion on it and HP scan works on that.

Has FCP X been updated to the newer version?
The reel will be gone if so.

This tape is from very long time ago so we don't know which audio sampling rate we recorded with..

The sampling rate is set by the Sony DVMCDA2 you are using, when the conversion is made from the analog input to the digital (DV) output. You should be outputting standard DV which is 16bit 48khz audio.
Assuming you are in the US, your Easy Setup for FCP should be DV-NTSC, and then open the Log and Capture Pane and set the Capture Settings Device Control to Non-Controlable Device and you should be good to go.
You will have to roll the deck manually and start and end your capture manually.

Hi Everyone
I'm not good with technology so apologise now if this is a topic which has already been answered here. I've recently bought and have started using the iphone, and am loving the whole capturing video footage etc. I've synced to my laptop 'Compaq' and thought I had successfully downloaded my photo's and videos, but can't seem to find them despite also having the latest version of itunes on my laptop. I've looked in all the relevant folders (I think!) such as My Documents, Music, Videos, Pictures as well as itunes but can't find them. I've disabled the security code on my phone to allow downloads to take place. If you can help, then please message back?
