Capture excise: Stock Transfer

Dear Experts !!!
In one of the stock transfer scenario, we are transferring one material from one plant, where the material is used as input material i.e. J!ID maintained in sending plant is "Raw Material'
Whereas at the receiving plant for the same material code the J1ID is rightly maintained as "RG1"
Now at receiving plant, after doing GR, while capturing the excise invoice system gives the error message as " Material  has not been declared as input Material in ."
We tried to capture the invoice by changing the Material type in J1IEX manually as "Raw Material" . But ended with same error again.
we want to capture the Excise invoice in J1IEX without changing the J1ID.
Please help me out ???
Thanx in advance
Regards
Kailash

Have u done MIGO.
If not
Do the MIGO by changing the material type .
there should not be the error.
If u have done MIGO
reverse the document
Do the MIGO again.
change the material type
there should not be the error.
regards,
Sujit

  • Excisable Stock Transfer with Excise Duty to Other State Warehouse

    Dear Experts,
We have a factory in India which has to pay excise.
We have depots in several location in India.
We transfer finished goods from Factory to Depot and have to pay excise.
When selling from Depot we do not charge the end customer the excise. (Only VAt and this is Depot is a Seperate company in Tally )
However, I will be paying the excise at Factory
The costing of the FG transferred to Depot has to be increased as I'm bearing the cost of excise and not passing it to the final customer.
We are implementing SAP B1 9.0 Please Suggest how to manage this in SAP 9
In tally we were managing these by creating Different Company but in SAP we need to manage in Same company
Is there any other workaround, by using inventory transfer form ? then how will be the excise postings
    Please Suggest
    Regards,
    Chetan Popat

    Hi Chetan,
On SAP you can do stock transfer with payment of duty selection on stock transfer form. and then you can create corresponding excise invoice. Make sure you are transferring stock from one excise warehouse to another.

  • Capturing Excise Duty in Stock Transfer - Project Critical

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem in SAP B1. The situation is presented below:
"We have an Excisable Item, Excisable Warehouse and Non-Excisable Warehouse.
I want to capture the Excis Duty when I transfer the Stock from the Excisable Warehouse to an Non-Excisable warehouse. This will happen in the case of stock removal"
    Please help me out.

    RSA,
I have read SAP B1 2007A/B statement and direction. Isee that your problem seems could be resolved in this version, I quote as follows:
Excise for Inventory Transfers (India) u2013 This feature will enable customers to consider and post
transactions wherein excise is involved in inventory transfers. Customers can:
1.Define an excisable warehouse. If the warehouse is excisable, Incoming CENVAT Account
(WH) and Outgoing CENVAT Account (WH) for CENVAT taxes posting in the excise invoice
    must be specified.
    2. Specify at row level inventory transfer documents relevant for an excise invoice
3.Copy inventory transfer documents to Outgoing Excise Invoice and then to Incoming Excise
    Invoice
    4. Create an automatic Incoming Excise Invoice from the Outgoing Excise Invoice
The system queries are provided to report the Open Excisable Stock Transfer Documents and Open
    OEIs from Stock Transfer Documents.
is the above explanation able to resolve your problem ?

  • Problem in Stock Transfer Depot to Depot.

    Hi All,
The Scenario is we are importing the Trading Material to Depot from there we are transporting to other depot & then send to the Customer.
    Import Material to Depot
    1. ME21N - Import PO to Depot (normal PO u2013 Document type NB)
    2. MIGO - Goods Receipt (movement type 101)
    3. J1IG - Capture Excise
Stock transport Order from Depot to Depot
    4. ME21N - Depot to Depot (Stock Transport PO u2013 Document type u2013 UB)
    5. VL10B u2013 (Replenishment Delivery)
    6. VL02N u2013 (Changing Delivery created in 5 above, picking & Post goods Issue)
    7. J1IJ - Excise invoice capture must be according to (3) J1IG
    8. VF01 u2013 (Creating Stock Transfer Invoice)
    9. MIGO u2013 (GRN in Receiving depot)
    10. J1IG - (over here i am not able to capture the excise from 7.J1IJ - I am doing excise capture from 3.J1IG. Even though its coming properly i like to clarify on this point.)
Eg:- Purchased : 5000 PCS > Post goods Issue & Excise invoice capture for 2000 PCS is done. After this process i am not able to capture the excise from J1IJ but i am capturing it from earlier J1IG it's taking up the excise for 2000 Qty.
Then the Normal Sale Process. Let me know any other thing has to be taken care in this process flow or this is the way it has to be done.
Note:-I am not able to capture excise in MIGO stage for this scenario alone. I am capturing at J1IG only. I need the kind inputs to solve the Problem.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,
For this Scenario (Step 9 -MIGO) is done through Goods Reciept with Outbound delivery at this time i am not able to capture excise at MIGO stage as there is no commercial invoice is being created at this point. So i am capturing it at J1IG over thier if i give Internal Excise number generated from J1IJ it's giving an error Internal Excise number does not exist. It's working fine when i give the earlier Internal Excise number generated at (J1IG Step 3).

  • Capture Excise Invoice w.r.t Stock Transfer Order

    Hi all,
Can anyone explain me how to Capture Excise Invoice W.r.t Stock Transfer Orders.
right Now i'm follwing below Steps
    1. Create STO in Issuing (sending ) plant with duty and CVD conditions.
    2. Issue Material to Receiving PLant using 351 Movement.
    3. Book the CVD Condition thru MIRO Transaction
    4. Capturing Excise Invoice w.r.t Stock Transfer Order.
    5. Receive the material in Plant( 101 Mvmt).
I had Few Query at step 3 and 4.
Q1. While capturing Excise Invoice w.rt STO system is not taking CVD number as reference in Commercial Invoice Field.
Q2. It gave me the Msg Like Excise Invoice XXX does not Exist in PLant B2B ( B2B is my sending Plant).
does that mean i have to first create the excise invoice in sending plant?
if yes, how can i create pls provide step for this.
this excise invoice need to be created in reference to STO or In refernce to 351 mvmt document.
    Regards,
    Sheo Anand Singh

    Hi Anand,
Commercial Invoice number is the invoice number u have created in your Step-3, not the CVD number.
    Hope this clarifies.

  • Error in capturing excise invoice during stock transfer

    Hi
When we are capturing an excise invoice in t code j1iex with reference to stock transfer order, system is giving an error message
Excise Invoice 0000100135 30.09.2009 of plant 300007 does not exist
The excise duties are not captured into the excise invoice.
    pls resolve this issue
    Regards
    Suresh

    Hi There
we will be using J1IIN for the transfer for the simple reason that you cannot move the goods from the manuefacturing plant without paying the excise duty.
regarding your second query I am unable to understand your exact requirement but as per my understanding you will do the good receipt and CENVAT will be credited and outgoing or stock transfer will happen as the regular process afterwards by debiting the excise duty from the CENVAT account
    Hope this will help

    hoping to replu

    Hello,
Create Stock Transport Order - ME21N
Create Delivery Challan (DC) - VL10B (this reduces the inventory from supplying plant)
Create Excise Invoice refering the DC created above - J1IS - Ref document type OTHR (Excise values are transfered in this step)
Do goods receipt against the DC (outbound delivery) - MIGO in receiving plant. Also capture and post the excise invoice cerated in J1IS.

  • Stock Transfer from Bonded WH to Depot (Excise)

    Hi All,
We have a business scenario of bonded warehouse where material is imported. In SAP we are following the below process.
    a. Create Import PO without any duty > GRN > MIRO (Vendor Payment)
    b. Create STO with bonded warehouse as our supplying plant & our depot (excise plant) as receiving plant.
    c. Enter all custom duties in STO.
    d. Custom MIRO is done.
    e. Outbound delivery created against STO > Goods Issue > MIGO
    f. When we do J1ID, system throws an error that our supplying plant (Bonded WH) is not marked as depot in CIN plant setting.
Please help me in getting the scenario for Import to Bonded WH followed by stock transfer to my depot where I can capture my RG23D register.
    Regards
    Virender

Bonded Warehouse need not to be registered as a Excisable Plant or Depot in CIN settings, you still have to Maintain Plant settings for Bonded Warehouse.. Else you will get the Error During J1IG Incoming Excise invoice at Depot. There is no harm even if you maintain Bonded Warehouse in CIN Plant settings..

  • Stock transfer to Non-Excisable Plant

    Hi All,
I need to confirm the understanding for this scenario. Our client is doing stock transfer from manufacturing unit to non-excisable plant (same company code) but they do not update RG23D register. they post excise invoice during such stock transfer to non-excisable plant but when they sale from there to customer , they do not pass on any excise duty. I could see numerous threads for STO in CIN but they are all with Depot sale with RG23D getting updated. Am I missing something or is there a way to handle this in SAP?
    Thanks
    Binita

    Hi Binita,
There are two types of scenarios in case of STO's from manufacturing plants to depots.
    1. STO from manufacturing plant to exciseable depot:
From sending plant PO->DELIVERY->PROFORMA BILLING DOCUMENT->EXCISE INVOICE.
    From receiving plant(Exciseable depot) GOODS RECIEPT->CAPTURE EXCISE(RG23D REGISTER UPDATION)->SALES ORDER->DELIVERY DOCUMENT->DISTRIBUTE EXCISE(DEPOT EXCISE INVOICE & RG23D UPDATION)-> BILLING DOCUMENT.
    2. STO from manufacturing plant to non exciseable depot(e.g Ware house or CFAs)
From sending plant PO->DELIVERY->PROFORMA BILLING DOCUMENT->EXCISE INVOICE.
From receiving plant(Non exciseable plant) Goods receipt will be done & the duties will be inventorized in the purchasing price. No need to update any registers. Excise values will be loaded on to the material cost.
    Hope its clear now.
    Regards,
    S.Himavanth.

  • Stock Transfer of Excisable goods from Depot to Depot

    Hi,
We are facing an issue with Stock Transfer of Excisable Goods from an excisable depot to another excisable depot which had arrived from an excisable manufacturing plant.
We are following the below steps:
    1. Create STO PO at Depot A (ME21N)
    2. Delivery of Goods from Depot B (VL10B)
    3. Create Depot Excise Invoice at Depot B with reference to Orginal Manufacturing Excise Invoice (J1IJ)
    4. Goods Receipt at Depot A (MIGO)
    5. Capture Excise at Depot A (J1IG)
We are getting stuck at Step 5. When we are performing J1IG and entering Depot Excise Invoice or Original Manufacturing Excise Invoice, we are getting an error message as "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
Kindly suggest how to capture excise at Depot A.
    Regards,
    Debarshi

    Dear G. Lakshmipathi,
We have tried your solution but we are still stuck at the same place.
In J1IG, if we enter the Depot B excise invoice and press enter, we are getting the message "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
If we enter the Original Manufacturing excise invoice and press enter, then also we are getting the message "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
If we enter the Depot B excise invoice and give a tick in the "Depot Excise Invoice" and press enter, we are getting into an infinite loop.
Kindly suggest how we can capture the excise at Depot A.
    Regards,
    Debarshi

  • Stock transfer with excise duty

    Hi Experts,
i have to do stock transfer from one plant to other plant when excise duty is invloved. and both plants comes under one company code.and receiving plant not paying any thing to supplying plant.please suggest me which process shall i follow.
    Thanks and regards,
    Balakrishna R.V

    Hi,
The receiving plant should also registered for ED. Then when u do STO, after issue th goods, do J!is & j1iv. Later with the help of that document Capture Excise in other plant. So there in supplying  plant the  ED is deducted & in receiving plant the ED is taken as per law.

  • Stock Transfer for Excisable Materials Using Movement Type 301

    Hi,
We are having a Plant 1002 as excisable Materials.
During GR we following the process like GR (Part -I), Capture Invoice, Post Invoice.
Can we transfer the Material from Plant 1002 to other Plant, say 1001, using Movement Type 301?
Or we need to follow some other router for Stock Transfer for the Excisable Materials?
I was told by the ex-consultant that we would be using Mov Type 301 for all Stock Transfers, but I have a doubt, please guide.*
    Regards,

    Hi PK,
Here in Brazil we work with excisable material and when we have to transfer it plant to plant, we have to use IVA that performs tax posts on accounting document. Also, we have to create Nota Fiscal (BrazillianLegal Document).
I think you have to talk to your legal/accounting area in order to make sure which procedure you will have to use.
If you need tax posting on accounting document, then you will not be able to use 301 movement type.
We use MM/SD Plant to Plant transfer (movement type 861 / 862)
Depending on your Legal/accounting area feed back, you could use this scenario or just MM plant to plant transfer (movement type 303/305).
If they are ok with no tax postings on accounting document, then 301 movement type should be used.
Try to make a test, show then how it works, then you could get ok from then
    I hope it helps you.
    Best Regards,

  • Stock transfer order excise

    Dear Experts,
Can i know wt are the special things comes in stock transfer order excise  compare to domestic excise process?

Do the following steps for STO Customizing:-
    1. Create a customer master record for the issuing plant.
    2. Create a vendor master record for the issuing plant, and enter customer account number in the Customer field on the Control screen.
    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the receiving plant.
    4. Assign the plants to the customer master record in Customizing for Materials Management (MM), by choosing Purchasing <Purchase Order < Set Up Stock Transport Order< Plants.
The Process Flow would be as follows :-
Create a stock transport order, following the standard procedure, and send the order to the issuing plant.
Issuing plant has processes your order, and when it is ready to ship, the storeperson at the issuing plant issues the goods using a transfer posting. The excise clerk there creates an excise invoice. The excise supervisor verifies and posts the excise invoice. It then sends the goods to you, together with the excise invoice.
Once the goods arrive, you follow the standard procedure for incoming excise invoices:
The excise clerk captures the excise invoice, using the stock transport order as the reference document. The storeperson enters the goods receipt, again using the stock transport order as the reference document.Alternatively, you can first enter the goods receipt and then capture the excise invoice.
The excise supervisor then posts the excise invoice.
