The following excerpt is from Image Capture's help section:
Transferring items automatically with Image Capture
You can set Image Capture to transfer items from your digital camera automatically whenever you connect your camera.
Connect your camera, click Options, and then click Options again.
Select "Automatically download all items."
The next time you connect your camera, Image Capture transfers items according to the import settings in Image Capture Preferences. Make sure your preferences are set the way you like before you connect your camera.
I don't have a camera attached to my computer at the moment, so I couldn't test this out myself, but it seems like you should just be able to follow the underlined language above in reverse. (I confess that I was unable "click Options" as per the above instructions, but I'm hoping that's just because I don't have a camera connected.)

Unable to capture image using MDT 2012

After running my Sysprep and Capture task using MDT 2012, MDT begins to capture the image and makes it all the way to ~94% and then stops and returns several errors. Any idea as to what may be causing this? Below are the errors returned during the capture
task and the ZTIBackup.log:
Error creating an image of drive C:, re=2
ZTI ERROR - Non-zero return code by ZTIBackup, rc = 2

Not sure what's going on here. Possibly a corrupt drive? Or the target drive is full?
Try running the imagex command manually from a F8 cmd window (in WinPE)

Capture images (JPEG) from IP-Camera

Hey there!
I have been trying to capture images from an IP-Camera. I understand that this has to be done by using a custom DataSource and I have tried many many example found here on the net, but with no results.
I think I've tried every piece of code found here at this forum regarding this subject.. :/
The best I could do was not getting an error while creating a custom DataSource from a BufferedStream..but the when I try to configure/realize the Processor - created with Manager.createProcessor(customdatasource) - it gives me an error which, I think, has something to do with unrecognized content..
I could post all the examples I tried but I think it would be too much of a confusion so...does anyone have a full working example of code to achieve this? WITH the frame grabber class? plizzzzzzzzz?

I felt Captfoss' solution was inspired and so gave it a go. The following builds a video from an ip cam jpg stream using a version of Sun's JpegImagesToMovie.java. It is hacked together quickly and with scope for improvement, but it works, proves the idea, and is a good example.

Administrator account is disable when deploying windows 7 x64 captured image

I’m using MDT 2012 update 1. I create one deployment share with two task sequence.
The task sequences are: one for windows 7 x86 and the other one is windows 7 x64.
Both are working fine until I try to sysprep and capture with all the windows updates.
Sysprep and capture windows 7 x86 with all windows update work fine. I’m able to deploy the captured image without an error.
My problem is with the windows 7 x64 captured image. I’m able to sysprep and capture the windows7 x64 with all the windows update. Once the capture is completed, I change the .win file in my windows 7 x64 task sequence to point to the new .win file (capture
image with all the windows update). When I deploy windows 7 x64 on a pc, the OS get install but boot up to the sign on screen. The Task sequence does not complete. No error message. Cannot log in as local or domain administrator, account is disable.
Why does it work with my windows 7 x86 image and not with my windows 7 x64 image?
With my windows 7 x86 image the task sequence completed successfully with no error and it logon automatically in windows but not with my windows 7 x64 image.
Both task sequences are the same.
Let me know if any info for this please.

They should both work, perhaps you missed a step when creating the x64 image.
1. Verify that the Windows 7 x64 image was created cleanly, with no errors. Sysprep ran with no errors.
2. Verify that you created the windows 7 deployment task sequence cleanly. I would do a windiff of the TS.xml and unattend.xml file from both folders in the deployment share.
3. Try running without a domain. Some domain's have a GP set to disable the local administrator account.

Labview IMAQ VI for capturing images and saving with incremental file names

Hello,
I am using LabView 7.1(IMAQ) to capture images with NI's PCI 1426 card, and a JAI CV-M2 camera. Now, with the example VI's like LL Grab, or LL Sequence, or Snap and Save to File.vi, I can capture the images. But what I actually want is to capture images continuously and keep saving them with a sequentially incrementing file name.
I have tried to modify the Snap and Save to File.vi by adding a 'for loop', so as to run this for required number of images. This works okay, but I can't really change the file name after every image. However, I'm not confident with this method either. I think it would be better to use the buffer itself, as is given in LL Grab.vi and somehow save images from the buffer. I think this would be faster ?
In any case, any ideas as to how I should go about implementing auto-incrementing of the file name ?

I tried using this in the VI i was working with, but using the "build path" vi doesnt seem to work. If I use just the base path from user's input, it works, but then again it keeps overwriting the images into one file rather than giving each file a new name. I'm attaching the vi.

I realize that when I take a picture picture from my 5800, ALL my saved images become foggy! According to preview (capture) image, preview images are NORMAL!... So I think the problem is about software based, not hardware! I have V20 firmware .... I hope Nokia may interest about this problem!...Will upcoming 5800's firmware solve this problem?...

It always is to start with. Keep the image displayed for a few seconds and while it's up on the screen, the phone will render a sharper version and display it eventually.

Windows 7 Professional PC hangs at "Loading files" when trying to boot with custom capture image on Windows Deployment Services.

I have created a custom capture image in WDS. Now when I try to boot my reference PC into this image the PC hangs at "Loading files". The reference PC is running Windows 7 and I am using Windows Server 2012 Standard on my server.
I have followed the instructions on how to create the custom capture image on the server to a fault. I PXE boot the PC and it shows the capture images after I hit F12. The problem is that it starts to boot and then hangs about 2/3 way through the progress
bar.
Any help would be appreciated.

C7 captured image quality

i got a c7 like a month back everything is perfect but one thing is out of my understanding when i open my camera there are no lines but as i take the pictures without flash i get lines on my captured images although there is sufficient light in the room resulting in a poor capture quality. i have changes many settings only this issue ends if i switch to night mode even in normally lighted room
when ever i take a picture in sunlight or open areas there are no lines at all but at times there are exceptions..

Hmm, that is odd. Looks like the phone could be faulty. First I would tell you to try updating or reinstalling firmware. You also did not mention if you were already using Symbian Anna update which came with camera tweaks. If it does not solve, you'd have to take it to a Nokia Care Center.

The first error I see is that you're using the CaptureDeviceManager in an applet. If T.B.M pops in here, he can tell you why that's going to be a CF 99% of the time.

Lastly, the big one, even if you were somehow capturing video magically, you're not even trying to display it...so I'm not entirely sure why you expect to see anything with the code you just posted.

I didn�t know about the image comparison, but here is one more idea to store the new picture, whenever you captured the picture take the time and when you take another picture compare the times of both pictures then save the picture with latest time.
But there is one flaw in this approach, if user explicitly changed the time and captured the pictures it won�t work properly.

WDS & DISM: injecting updates into a captured image

I have been working on this for a few days now. Finally, I found a good article on using 'dism' to inject windows updates into 'wim' file. The whole process seemed to have gone well until after I used the image to setup a new computer.
The original captured image has 183 updates installed. After running the prescribed 'dism' commands, I blasted the image onto a box, checked the number of installed updates, but the number stayed the same: 183.
I have a computer with all the recent updates based on the same captured image. That computer shows 300+ updates installed. I used its c:\windows\softwaredistribution\download folder with 'dism' to update the image.
So, the issue is: even though 'dism' says it did the job, the image is still not updated and only showing 183 updates.
Anyone else seen this before? Thank you.

Capture image - 0xc0000000f

I'm currently trying to capture two different images onto my imaging server using Windows Deployment Services on a Windows Server 2012 Standard, with the latest updates. When booting to PXE and selecting the capture image (which is from Windows 8.1 media)
it crashes into the Windows Boot Manager and gives the status error of 0xc000000f. I've tried reloading the capture image with the same thing, the boot image from just fine for deployment. I've tried capturing from Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 with zero success.
This started occuring once I replaced the boot and capture images with the Windows 8.1 boot.wim.
Any suggestions?

First I ‘d like to know where did you get the DVD installation media?
If it is a Windows 8.1 update1, please do not use it as a boot image of the deployment, because it contains the PE5.1.
I suggest to use a lower edition PE, PE5.0, that’s to say use another Windows DVD installation to get the boot.wim file.
We will keep track of this issue and report it.
