Capture locks up when I stop recording....I then have to force quit

Yesterday I was capturing just fine, then I ran out of memory on my hard drive so I moved all my videos to an external hard drive and erased the videos from my hard drive. Now I can start the capture, but when I press the stop/esc button to stop the capture process Premiere pro locks up.
Any ideas, Im working on a macbook pro. When I go to my hard drive and look at the clips I just tried to capture they are there and play just fine ????

Mac has a quirk, no, lets call it a feature, that nothing gets deleted off a harddrive, not with your little animated trashcan or your "secure" erase. Unlike windows which deletes the pointer to the file and then tells the OS that the space is free, mac just deletes the pointers and leaves the files there to consume space without all the hassles of actually having any use. This is one of the many features that come with using a mac, including the ability for mac to randomly delete files (in my case critical project files), which has happened to me many times before.
Theres been many a time where i had to mount a mac drive onto a PC as a logical drive and format from there to actually be able to put anything it, even when i had deleted everything from it on the mac.
So yeah, theres your problem.

I have been running Office 2004 on my Intel iMac with Snow Leopard for some time and all of a sudden I cannot save a document. Word just stopped responding and I have to force quit. I can open Word and create a new document but I cannot save it. I reinstalled Word but that didn’t help. So I check for a new Mac Security Update and sure enough there was one. I downloaded it and now Word seems to be working, as it should. I can both open and save files. The only problem remaining is that when I open Word I get the following error message “An unexpected error occurred while trying to load the Microsoft Framework library”. I contacted Apple but they were unable to help.
How can I get rid of this error message?

Look, I realize you might have to get your machine working, so this is how you revert back.
Restore proceedure to pre-Security Update 2012-001 v 1.0 & v 1.1
#1 Backup your personal data off the machine.
Backup files off the computer (not to TimeMachine). If you don't have a external drive, get one and connect to the USB/Firewire port and simply drag and drop copy your User folder to the external drive, it will copy all your files. It's best to have two backups of your data off the machine when trying to restore.
Disconnect all drives now to prevent any mistakes from occuring.
#2 Reinstall OS X 10.6 from disk
Get out your 10.6 install disk and make sure it's clean and polished (very soft cloth and a bit of rubbing alcohol, no scratches) If your disk is borked, you'll have to order a new one from Apple with your serial number.
Hold c boot off the 10.6 disk (wired keyboard, internal optical drive), use Disk Utility First Aid to >Repair Disk of your internal drive (do not format or erase!!), Quit DU and simply re-install 10.6.
Note: Simply reinstalling 10.6 version from disk (without erasing the drive) only replaces 10.6.8 with 10.6.x and bundled Apple programs, won't touch your files (backup anyway) or most programs, unless they installed a kext file into OS X itself. (only a few on average do this)
#3 Update to 10.6.8 without Security Update 2012-001 v1.0 or v1.1
Reboot and log in, update to 10.6.8 via Software Update, but EXCLUDE THE Security Update 2012-001 by checkinig the details and unchecking the blue check box.
#4 Reinstall any non-working third party programs
When you reboot, make sure to reinstall any programs that require kext files installed into OS X, you'll know, they won't work when you launch them or hang for some reason as they are missing the part they installed into OS X.
If for some freakish reason you get gray screen at any time when booting (possible it might occur when you reinstall older programs), hold the shift key down while booting (Safe Mode, disables kext files) and update your installed third party software so it's compatible with 10.6.8.

Preferences/Audio Set Recording Delay to 0 <zero>
This should always be set to zero unless a specific set of circumstances exist and you're audio drivers do not report position correctly.
On occasion, usually when importing a Logic 9 project, Logic-X randomly changes this to a negative/positive number. It's actually a bug in Logic, as it should always display the waveform.

They'll be red and recording, but then when I hit stop, it disappears. I'm recording multiple tracks.

Are you recording the instruments to the right kind of tracks? This problem is very typical for trying to record an audio input signal to a software instrument track. Then the recorded region will simply vanish, when you stop recording.

no, if iTunes can't find its drive/folder, it defaults to creating one within your Home directory's Music folder.

Everytime something opens in a second window, Fiefox locks up and stops resonding, I then have to "close program" and start over.

When I download a file it slows and I have to force quit just to reopen and download the file. How do I stop this?

It started when I was downloading PDFs then it moved to any kind of folder. It doesn't freeze it just doesn't load for 10 mins. I have to force quit and try again. Sometimes it fixes it but other times it doesn't. This has been happening since i upgraded my mac to the Firefox 6.0.2

On G4 System Preferences, Network, I have a dropdown menu that says that my settings have been altered by another application and won't go away when I click ok, I can't work in the Network preferences and it won't respond to be closed. Have to Force Quit

To stop the pop-up, Go to System Preferences: Security. Check the box next to "Require password to unlock each secure system preference." Then lock Security.

Earlier in the project, I would crash when moving audio up/down tracks or up/down time line.

That screenshot will help us figure out what's going wrong, but I won't have any news until at least July 8 because our offices are shut down next week. In the meantime, two suggestions:
Download CC and see if this crash occurs in the new version.
Google cpp-99 premiere pro audio prefetch. I got several hits, but not dig into them to see if any had a solution or workaround.

i'm using firefox 3.6.13 and windows XP home SP3. when i visit zynga poker at facebook.com it turn slowly to open the application. when i try to navigate away, firefox does not respond. when i close the firefox and try to reopen it, i get nothing. i have to physically go into the task manager and end the firefox.exe process manually before i can go back. i have tried to uninstall and then reinstall firefox, but it didn't work, i tried also to sending the crash report from crashreporter.exe, the warning box said: "This application is run after a crash to report the problem to the application vendor. When I open pages, it immediately hangs up and I have to force quit.

When I open pages from the dock, the page comes up on my screen but immediately hangs up with the little revolving circle. I have to force quit finally to get the page to go off my screen. This is sporodic. Sometimes it works and sometime it does not.

Using Disk Utility to repair permissions (none needed)
Using Disk Utility to verify the HD (no problems found)
Scanning the HD for malware with ClamXav (none found)
Showing package contents of Pages and restoring items from yesterday's versions in Time Machine
Opening Pages (successfully) from another user account
The problem occurred after trying to open (convert) a 125-page MSWord document. Pages appeared to hang but was just slow. After opening the file Pages did hang. I right-clicked on the Pages icon in the dock and, seeing 'Application not responding' selected 'Force Quit. Thereafter I had the problem with Pages hanging on opening. I then moved the MSWord document to another location while I discussed with the trusted colleague who'd e-mailed it to me what to do with it.
Eventually, after trying all of the approaches above (mostly suggestions from Apple Community help pages) I somehow stumbled upon what was causing the problem and how to clear it...
In Finder pull down on the 'Go' menu
Select 'Go to Folder'
Type in ~/Library/ which takes you to your user Library (a hidden folder)
In my user Library I found a folder called 'Autosave Information'
Delete anything in this folder associated with iWork Pages
Voilá!
