i'm trying to figure out how to capture a web site like in this video here about 22 seconds in: http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=678509399761
i have Ishowu but it looks fuzzy even at highest hd resolution. i want the effect of zooming in like video too.

Well, it's gotta be screen capture software, and iShowU is that. I have switched, however, from iShowU to SCREEN FLOW. I like it much better. Capture and edit ALL INSIDE SCREENFLOW. Very easy and clean. iMovie like.

Disbale AV and antimalware makes no difference either.

I cannot access common web site like Paypal. I get an "Untrusted Connection" screen. I have accessed Paypal in the past. This also happens with Capital One.

Just in the past week, when I try to access many web sites, including PayPal and Capital One, I get a Untrusted Connection screen and it prevents me from entering these sites.

hello ra12rick, first please make sure that the date, time & timezone are set correctly on your system. if this doesn't solve the issue (or it is already set properly), a possible solution depends on different factors:

Can't download files -even the support center's remote login appl won't download; web sites like USA Today will not open; etc.

This all started by certain sites not opening, like USA Today; Intellicast.com. Installed Maverics yesterday successfully and the web sites very briefly worked and then starting failing again. Called tech support and couldn't download their remote login code. From Safari's viewpoint thought there might be a problem with Adobe Flash. So deleted that and then tried to download the installer code from Adobe and that wouldn't download. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Firefox can find plugins in several locations, but Firefox 21 changed the location of the "shared" plugin folder so older installers like the Microsoft Windows Media Plugin no longer drop the DLL file in the correct location.
There apparently are two ways to address this:
(1) Change a Firefox preference so that Firefox checks the old location. Here's how:
(i) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(ii) In the filter box, type or paste '''plugins''' and pause while the list is filtered
(iii) Double-click '''plugins.load_appdir_plugins''' to switch its value from false to true.
This will take effect after you restart Firefox.
(2) Copy the plugins folder to the new location. Here's how on Win 7 64-bit:
Open a Windows Explorer window to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
Right-click and copy the '''Plugins''' folder
Double-click the '''browser''' folder to open it
Right-click and paste
Right-click the new copy of '''Plugins''' and rename it to '''plugins'''
After restarting Firefox, the plugins in that folder should now be available.

Best way to Capture Web Sites

This is a question from a colleague of mine.
"Is there a better way to do web captures than by filming the screen?"
I recommended taking screen shots of each web site for better control - but apparently it's a lot of steps and web sites to show and that would take too long.
Any suggestions I can give her?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10-15 seconds).
No data will be lost.

To my knowledge, ATT does not censor your internet ussage. They do block certain spam sites, but that is more of an e-mail thing. Do you perhaps have a malway program with a site blocker enabled? That is more what is sounds like. If you are, and it trips on a site, there is usually a good reason to be careful. OH, and browsers like firefox have a site blocker built into them. You can turn them off, of course, but as I said, to my knowledge, ATT does not censor customers internet usage.

Safari 1.3.2 Not Accessing Some Secure Web Sites Including This One

Operating system is 10.3.9 running Safari 1.3.2 and today I couldn't access American Express or Apple Discussions web site. I had a lock up yesterday that forced me to do a hard reset. Funny thing is, Safari otherwise is running fine other than not accessing secure sites that I accessed just fine yesterday. FWIW, I am entering this info from a PC not my Mac...Any Ideas.

It's probably a corrupt Cache or Cookie item.
Do you know your user names & passwords for sites that require them?
If so, open Safari Preferences > Security.
Click on Show Cookies.
Click on Remove All.
Click on Done.
If you do not know your user name & PWs for sites, you will have to individually click on the cookies for the ones that are not opening, and delete them one by one.
Then from the Safari contextual menu, select Empty Cache.
Click on Empty.

You can probably do it by using separate video tracks and keyframing the rotation and opacity.

What are web sites like without Adobe Flash?

I'm new to the tablet world and am considering buying an iPad, but I understand that Adobe Flash will not be enabled when I browse on web pages. Can folks tell me how they've dealt with this, what are the consequences, etc. There must be articles about this? Thanks.

Here is a results of a browser functionality test on Firefox on my MacBook Pro verses a iPad 2 and others.
And to add insult to injury, Safari on a Mac is about 2x times better than Firefox on a Mac.
But Firefox on Windows is #1 and Safari on Windows is dead last, behind IE!
Strangeness is everywhere.
