Car Kit for Zen Vision

Okay, so my previous post didnt seem to have a message..
Is there a car kit to play music from the creative zen vision m in your car?
I have a CD player in my dash, not a tape
thanks!

boltoncalling,
If you don't have a tape player in the card, the other options would be to connect directly, or use an FM transmitter.
Connecting directly is only possible if the stereo has that option. Some have an auxiliary input on the front, others have an input on the back, but some don't have an input at all. Check the manual for your car stereo if you can to see if it has any mention of an input. It might be on the back of the unit so you might need an adapter from the manufacturer.
The other option is an FM transmitter, with this you use that device to essentially transmit a signal from your player, that your radio can pick up.

  • Car kit for 6500 from 6230i

I have the now old cark 126 great holds and charges the phone even has an arial. It seems what ever I do now with my new phone is a backward step. I am begining to think I should have kept my 6230i instead of changing to the 6500c.
I hope one of you can help with the following issues.
1 Which hands free kit should I use?
2 Is there a cradle available?
3 What about charging the phone ?
    4 arial ?

The only option you have is to change your car kit, Nokia only do bluetooth car kits for 6500 classic. Look at Nokia ck-15w or ck-7w, your phone will work with other brands of bluetooth kits like Parrot or THB Bury.

  • Car kit for 6210 Navigator

I've just upgraded from a 6230i, for which I have a Cark126 car kit, to the 6210 Navigator. I can't find anything like my current car kit for the Navigator. I really wanted to just plug the phone into a cradle and have it immediately charge and connect to the car's handsfree.
What do you all think is the best way to go 'hands-free' in the car, with my new phone? My hubby says he's capable of wiring a hands-free kit if it's straightforward but that he's no car or electronics expert!

Both the CK-100 and CK-300 have a charging cable coming from the control unit.
The charging cable plugs into the bottom of the cradle and then every time you put the phone in the cradle, it will be on charge and held legally. The actual connection to the car kit itself is over wireless Bluetooth.
If your car has aux in on the stereo system then the CK-300 is the all singing, all dancing option as you can operate more controls of the phone from the control button of the car kit AND have music from the phone playing through the car stereo PLUS a 3.5mm jack that you can connect an IPod to.
However you do not have aux in, the CK-100 will give a good simple solution and still give you the wireless music option but played directly through the car speakers.

  • Best car kit for a Nokia 6111.

    Hi all,
Just got my 6111, and I want to get a car kit for it. I had an 8310 and used the CARK-132(?), which worked very well.
I was thinking of getting the CK-7W. As it is similar sort of style, it should save me a bit of effort with re-wiring the speaker/mic.
My main question is: with this car kit, will the Pop-port connection charge the phone?
Any other car kits particularly recomended? - I don't need anything fancy (CK-610?), just something that will allow me to easily answer and make the odd call easily, with radio mute, and as cheaply as possible. If it will automatically take the call when the ignition is switched on, that would be handy.
    Thanks,
    Nick.

    Thanks Danny,
I'm curious as to why using a pop port connection would be a safety issue? Surely once the phone is plugged in and sat in a cubby hole, it's no different to using the kit with bluetooth?
I think I've come to the conclusion that I may as well buy any bluetooth handsfree and a separate charger. Most of the time I will not need to charge the phone in the car, but I need the facility just in case. At least with a separate charger, I will be able to use it in a different car.
I could buy a CK-1W which appears to be exacly the same as the 7W apart from the pop-port snd cheaper. Otherwise there are numerous universal handsfree kits available. Any suggestions?
    Nick.

  • What happened to STARBUY for Zen Vision M 60 GB scheduled for today Dec 2 @10

    Hey everyone,
I participated in Nov's starbuy, didnt manage to get anything and after it, I checked back a couple of days later and saw that Dec starbuy was scheduled for today 2 Dec at 0pm for Zen Vision M (Black) 60GB. But just logged onto Creative Online Store and didnt see the link for Starbuy. Anyone know what happened to it's? Does this mean no more starbuy from now on?

I also was eagerly watching for the starbuy that you have referred to on Dec 2 at 0pm. I must say I'm disappointed with what Creative has done. Sure, they have every "right" to withdraw their offers but they did not bother to inform the public about it. I personally checked the website patiently from 9pm to 030pm thinking that maybe they were getting ready to upload the website with the starbuy. But NO the stupid link kept going back to the creative homepage. And they sneakily removed all the advertisements to the starbuy.
What p**ses me off even more is that if you check today, they have sneakily changed it to some "SoundWorks 500DAB" which is a new item but nobody's ever heard of before or is probably interested, compared to the ZVM 60GB. It's quite big (it's not a mobile player, .92kg, looks more like a mini-compo) and only plays "Digital Audio Broadcast" (what's that?) and FM Stereo. Hello Creative? What era is this? Who wants to buy this only to leave it at home to listen to the radio or DAB? It's not mobile, it can't play MP3s or video or photo. Or even CDs.
    Check it out at sg.store.creative.com/starbuy
Why they decided to pull the ZVM beats me. I have no idea. And why Creative has started selling what looks like basically an expensi've radio (ie, they are going back in time) beats me even more. As echoed by many Internet reviewers, compared to Apple Ipod, Creative's MP3 players are pretty good and they should focus their attention on that, try to make them even smaller and longer battery life, more functions, more codecs, better screens, BUT what we see is Creative di'versifying and designing/manufacturing so much new products that they may not have a market for.
EDIT: Ok I just checked, about DAB: from Wikipedia
Digital Audio Broadcasting or DAB is a technology for broadcasting audio programming in digital form that was designed in the late 980s but which is now being introduced in many countries. The original objecti'ves of converting to digital systems were to enable higher fidelity, more stations, less inteference, mobile services and additional information such as text, although in practice the vast majority of radio stations on DAB sound worse than on FM.
In Singapore, MediaCorp's SmartRadio was launched on 9 November 999. Using the Eureka 47 DAB system, SmartRadio provides six digital-only stations and eight simulcast FM services, along with images and text to supplement the audio. Singapore was the first country to reach full DAB coverage.
My response: I still think that Creative should work on their mp3 players. They could try introducing this DAB technology into their MP3 players, maybe be the first in the world to do it. Sooner or later another company's gonna do it.Message Edited by fourseven on 2-04-200602:30 AM

  • Can anyone recommend a car kit for the Nokia 6131?

I'm looking for a car kit for my 6131 and I'm a bit baffled by all of the options I've found on the internet.
All I really need is a nice neat mobile holder and a charger. The holder should not be the type that attaches to the air vents; I had one of those once before and it just made the car look untidy!
I already have access to a Jabra BT250 bluetooth earpiece so I'm assuming that if the phone is in its cradle I'll be able to use that to make and answer calls. Otherwise I don't mind buying a bluetooth car kit if it's a better option.
I noticed on another thread that someone was recommending the wireless plug in hands free HF-6W to a 6131 owner, but the phone isn't listed as compatible with that on Nokia's web site. In fact, if you look at the compatibility details for all of Nokia's car kits, the 6131 isn't listed as compatible with any of them!
Any recommendations for the best holder and charger for the 6131, or a single unit that combines both?
Thanks :-)Message Edited by pottermus on 01-Oct-2006

The only way to connect this phone to a car kit is via a bluetooth connection, the ck-7w would be suitable for this. There is no specific holder for this phone so you would need a universal holder, i suggest that you buy a specific non damaging bracket for your car to mount this on to give you the best position.

  • Accesories for Zen Vision

Hi everybody. I've just bought a Zen Vision : M a couple of weeks ago. And now i want to install it in my car, ain't it possible to get a fm transmitter that charges thru the Mp3 player, and not thru the car charger?Otherwise you would have to constantly change the charges between the Zen and the fm transmitter... And another question, does anyone know when the accesories will be out in the stores in Denmark??/Aleks

if you get a belkin fm transmitter (or alot of other company's). they usualy run through a AAA battery. the battery usualy lasts awhile. so you don't have to worry. they plug into the headphone jack and that wont power the player. the reason why some companys use the lighter port on cars is to save you from using batteries, but that just limits its usage to in vehichles.
IF possible. check if your car stereo has a "line-in" jack. if there isnt a headphone plug on the front. it might be in the back of it. usualy newer ones do. you might want to check the players manual if you have on. or get somebody who knows what there doing to check for you. if you do that you can use a direct line (cord with female headphone plugs on both ends) to go straight from your Vision:M directly into your stereo. that will give you great sound quaulity. otherwise fm transmitters just give you around tape/stereo sound quality.
    good luck.
no clue about the acessories. mind you, i've never seen creative accessories in stores anywhere here. they usualy only have the players in the stores. perhaps get it off creative.com

  • Will my old wall charger for Zen Vision:M will work with the (New) Z

i bought a wall charger from amazon for my Zen Vision: M 30GB, will it work with the (New)Zen? i just bought the Zen 6 GB and it doesn't comes with an adapter, pretty bad move there, well, does it has the same plug? i hope it's compatible. thanks

    sebastiankf,
That third party adapter from your Amazon link is hard wired specifically for the Vision:M and will not work with any other Creative player unless it has the same pin-outs using the same docking interface. The Creative AC-5V adapters will either have a coaxial power plug connection that will work with most of the Creative hard disk based players, except for the original NJB and Zen Micro, or a USB Mini-B plug that will work with all of the flash players that have a USB connection and the Zen Micro.

  • Best car kit for n73

I have just got my N73 and like it a lot - bit slow but thats no great issue.
My problem is finding a decent suitable car kit
    1) I already had the parrot 3100 (could not download contacts)
    2) Then bought a ck-610 works great but when receive a text the car-610 resets and the text stays on the ck-610
    3) Upgraded to a ck-616 now i cannot get contacts or text messages to receive.
4)So now I am toying with a ck-7w but that says issues
ck-15w does not show battery and network etc (whats point of the screen then)
5)and now a ck-20w but does not do something i cannot remember
Trouble is I upgraded my contract for 12 months to get this phone as its suppose to be compat with carkits and yet it aint
So just what do I do for a car kit, I spoke to nokia whom have said all 3 carkits are compatible yet when i buy them and install them and find out it does not nokia say "oh ys that is a known problem"
You try getting a refund when you've had the car kit installed.
any help or advice would be grateful please

    Hi skyline_olyn,
I have N73 and I am thinking of buying CK-20W carkit+LD2 navigation pack. I read that there were some compatibility issues with N73 & CK-20W+LD2. From what I found out, the CK-20W works perfectly well with N73, until you start using LD2 for navigation. It sounds like everything works fine with your N73, despite the fact that on NOKIA Europe website, N73 is marked as not compatible wih LD2 nav pack. Does this mean that you are able to make/receive calls whilst navigating without phone hanging up, losing GPS signal etc? I would be grateful if you could confirm that you are using LD2 for navigating. Can you also tell me what firmware version you have installed on your N73?

  • Hans free car kit for my Nokia 6310i

I have a Nokai hands free car kit (Model number PCH-4J) which I can’t fit to my car as there are 2 abbreviations on the wirering plan I don’t understand, can any one tell what they mean? Blue Ignition, Red 12V, Black to earth, Green to AMC? & Yellow to CRM? Thanks. Caine Ashford.

    Hi moby61
Blue wire > +12 volt switched by ignition
Green wire (CRM)for motor antenna gives +12volts when phone is on
Yellow wire (CRM)car radio mute goes down to 0volts during a call
    Black wire > negative
Red wire > +12 volts from battery
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

  • Which Car Kit for my trusted 6230 & 6230i

I am so confused with the amount of Car Kits available. I would like a kit for my 6230 & 6230i and have seen 2 so far. The CARK 91 and the CARK 126 but do not know which would be more suitable. I do not want Bluetooth connection, I would just like to plug the phone in a cradle and have a decent 2 way conversation. Any ideas on which kit would be the most suitable. Power/stereo mute/external antenna would be nice but not essential. Thanks in advance.

CK-7W Car kit using the wired connection into an MBC-15s Cradle with the AXF-15s Antenna Coupler.
The only downside to these older wired car kits is that there is no digital speech processing so there will always be some background noise. Therefore is it critical that the microphone is correcly placed directly in the line of your voice and away from air flow from an open window or air vent.

  • Wired Car kit for 6300

Is there a hard wired option for the 6300 to a car kit?

    In a nutshell, no.
The 6300 only has a Bluetooth option for car kit connection.
You can get a charging cradle though so the battery is kept charged....
