  • Audigy 4 Pro Mic probl

Hello, it's me agian... I'm having massi've problems with the my mic on my Audigy 4 pro, I plugged my mic into the front line /mic in using that big connector that came with the sound card but no matter what I do I cannot get it to record at a decent level, could you tell me what settings to use, the mic was fine with the Audigy 2 ZS gamer I had.... thanks

This seems to be an option that creative have left off the control pannel, on most cards you have the option to use mike gain.
On the Audigy 4 Pro creative have left this option out for some reason, maybe someone from creative might like to post a comment on this, as i have the same problems in voice over net conferences and i never had this problem with li've 5. platinum card.
Maybe a ploy from creative to get you to buy their headsets i:e HS-300

  • XFI xtremegamer + windows xp = mic probl

So I have tried everything to get my mic to work. From software upgrades to even enabling my onboard sound to see if my mic was bad but nope it works on the onboard mic port.
So any suggestions why my mic wont work on the sound card? Is it because I do have a front jacks on my tower and I have those ran to the sound card? I havent had the opportunity to un plug the front jacks but could that be the issue? And If so why?

okay Katman, thanks for that post.

Does?the fact that the impedance on the medusa mic?( 2200 ohms ) have any bearing at all. I?have been reading about impedance matching and the concept of "bridging" but?I can't tell if this has any?relevance to my problem at all. I am currently searching the internet for more "impendance matching" topics and if there are any available impedance matching adaptors in 35mm(!). I am clearly lost as to wether or not this is even the right path to be searching along so if you?have any pearls of wisdom,?don't be shy...
I read somewhere that at 2200 ohms, the medusa mic can be loosely categorised as a "mid-range" mic. While the el-cheapo is low range.

  • Audigy SE Mic Probl

I recently got an Audigy SE and plugged in my headphones to the Line-in (Green plug) and the mic to the "Flexijack" (blue plug). Now, my mic is not recognized by Windows. If I try to open Teamspeak. it says I do no have a sound.out device. If I try to test hardware, it does not see the mic. I am sure it is plugged in the correct spot. Furthermore, I went into the mixer and apparently the microphone can be set both as a source and a recording device. Anyway, I went in there and made sure mic was set as a recording device. Whenever it is set as the recording device, I hear a low hiss in my headphones, yet when I switch my mic to the headphone plug, it doesn't pick up on the mic there, either.
So, basically, the card is not picking up my mic, and if I have my mic unmuted, then I hear a hiss in my headphones. Anybody have a suggestion?

Same card, same issue with the mic not being recognised even though the line is swithced off.
There are a lot of issues here posted that go unanswered and unresolved and i think the lack of input or help from creative admins says quite a lot.

  • SB Audigy Platinum Front I/O Mic Probl

Whatever i do, i just can't seem to get the microphone plug on the I/O module to work. When i plug
my microphone in the back of the sound card itself, it works, but not when i plug it in the front.
The strange thing is that the headphone plug on front seems to work, but the microphone doesn't.

Hello, is this the place for an argument? Oh wait, that's a Monty Python skit, not real life. *ahem*
So what I'm hearing is that we're basically on our own. Is it that hard to answer a simple question like, "How do I completely uninstall ALL my SB Fatalty drivers and install brand new fresh ones from the internet, and in doing so, hopefully reset my I/O dri've?"
    That's my question.
    Cheers,
    Phoenix

  • Sound card driver probl

Perhaps someone can help with an annoying soundcard problem on a Windows XP Pro PC with all security updates installed.
I have an Audigy sound card with the latest drivers from the Auto up date on this site.
Before installing the drivers I clear out the old drivers as the instructions for uninstalling drivers again from this site.
When installed all is well and the sound card works well through my speakers but after a few days the volume available from the speakers has gone down by about 50%.
Cleaning out the drivers and reinstalling will bring the volume available back up to what I consider to be a normal level.
My question is; can anyone explain why the drivers seem to be corrupted after a short period. I'm not constantly installing or removing software that could interfer with the installation. I have all the latest security updates installed and run spyware and virus protection that shows no problems.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to what might be effecting my soundcard installation before I change the card for one that hopefully wont need reinstalling every few days.

    Hi,
I appear to have a similar problem. In the middle of working with Cubase SX3, a message came up saying 'could not load audigy 2 zs' - I came out of the program, then tried to load it up again, but would not load - after uninstalling almost everything, I tried to reinstall the audigy 2 ZS, but a message came up saying 'could not detect any audigy 2 ZS card on your system - installation will now exit' - why? Before it was because the drivers were not installed? I have sound out of the card, but not through the DVD player - any ideas? Please.
    Thanks.

  • Sound Blaster Live (Mic proble

I am a guitar player and I use a program called Guitar Pro to read sheet music and to tune my guitar quickly. However ever since I got a SB Li've it hasn't worked at all.
The microphones will record but only if I have my guitar at a crazy crazy volume.
I know it's the microphones because I've tried four different mics already (one being new out of the box).
I have the record volume all the way (even with mic boost 20db) and all options are all the way up. Anyone have any idea?

cowadvance, have you also tried increasing the volume at the Control Panel for Sounds and Audio Devices Properities?Hope that will help you.

  • Xfi Fatality Mic probl

I am currently having some issued with my MIC. The problem with the MIC is, that it wont transmit at all in windows sound recorder or in?a voice program like ventrillo. I have ensured that all the settings are not on mute, and everything to me looks correct. I am using a standard Logitech MIC that plugs into the back of the soundcard. The XFI settings are correct, and the MIC volume is all the way up in my console. Also the THX setup is set to allow a MIC/Line in. I am starting to think this maybe a windows problem.Message Edited by KradZZ on 0-30-20060:8 AM

I am getting this error when I use windows sound record when I try to troubleshoot:?"Not enough memory available to complete this operation. Quit one or more applications to increase available memory, and then try again."?The only thing is running is windows sound recorder, and I have 3 gigs of ram. Could the creative software be giving me trouble?Message Edited by KradZZ on 0-30-200605:53 PM

  • Echo's and mic proble

I recently bought an Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE, which when installed worked fine at first until I installed all of the drivers on my computer. Since the install of the new drivers people can hardly hear me over the mic and I get echo's on and off about 50% of the time from just normal audio. I have reinstalled several times and made sure my connections were good and that they were plugged into the correct slot, and I also attempted trying without the drivers again but I still get the same problem.
    Please help.

I do iChat audio conferencing all the time with my 12' Al G4 with Tiger. I simply use the built-in mic and the built-in speakers and everything works fine - I suspect yahoo messenger will work the same way. Try using what you have first - if that doesn't work out - THEN look at buying a headset.
BTW, keep in mind you really can't both talk at the same time.

  • Blue Icicle mic not working

    Hello
Tried all the internet fixes ASIO4 all and so on
and still my blue icicle mic does not work with Premiere 11 elements
It works in windows movie maker, AVS, and all the other software I have
anyone out there have a solution
    thank you

    Welcome to the forum.
Premiere has some problems with USB connected mics. Some work, but some do not. I do not recall any posts specific to the Blue Icicle XLR to USB setups, in either the PrE, or PrPro Forums. I have not seen mention of it in the Audition Forum, but spend a lot less time there, so you might do a Search of that forum. Though there are differences between Premiere and Audition, there are some similarities, as well.
As a test, I would borrow a mic that plugs directly into the sound card/mic input, and see if PrE sees that.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • AMD GPU. Driver update problem. Windows 7, BootCamp 5

    Hey .
First I describe my problems, then what I've tried and at the bottom are my computer specs.
I have an old driver for my video card , I am reminded of this when I start modern games such as Battlefield 4
When I start Battlefield 4 a window opens that says which model of the driver I have installed and that I should switch to a newer, and the latest driver model number is then specified .
I have tried to update by :
    1. Windows update . No such updates are there
    2. Go into the Control Panel , gone into the display settings ( through the " change screen resolution " ) , advanced tab, the video card , properties, driver tab, and finally update the driver. With the election "search automatically". Then I get the message. " You already have the latest drivers installed ."
    3. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website ( amd ) and then implement step 2 ( above), but choose option : choose driver software on your computer. Then select the folder where I downloaded the files from the manufacturer's website . Then I get the same message from option 2.
    4. Download the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website and then run the file I downloaded . The same message comes from the game (battlefield 4) that I do not have the latest drivers installed . Although the final page in the driver-installation said: your drivers are updated. Restarting the computer does not help me off with the problem.
Uninstall the existing driver is a possible solution . However, not reliable to me. Am worried that no drivers can be installed and that I will be stuck without any driver because i Did it once and could not install the new drivers and was then forced to reinstall BootCamp because they provide drivers for eg graphics cards, mice, keyboards and so on. However, these are updated from apple's side once every 3 years, and usually in conjunction with driver issues or updates. Not like these " imperfections " that I have.
Any other options than to uninstall the drivers and hope it goes to install new from the drivers website?
    My technical data:
Computer: iMac (purchased newest model in June 2012 )
Operating System: Windows 7 64bit , through BootCamp 5 from Mac os Mountain Lion.
Graphics card: Amd Radeon 6700m 512mb
    Current driver: 13.9

I had the exact same problem and i just got this to work. Go to my computer and then right click on the disc image. Then double click on bootcamp and then setup and that should work.

  • DV2490SE DVD Drive Problem

Hello, I have a problem with my friend's computer. Her DVD drive is not showing up in "My Computer" or "Device Manager".
Her laptop is a DV2490 SE with Windows Vista Home 64 bit. I've tried pressing I think it was F12 to reach the bios page and then reset the entire thing to default.
After the reset, the DVD drive shows up but the entire computer becomes SO slow.
She told me that her DVD drive broke once and HP sent her a new one to just pop in there. I was wondering maybe she installed it wrong? Because when I press the button to eject a disk, it does not come out, I have to actually pull it out, and when I do pull it out, it does feel a little lose.
Any help would be great! Thank you!

Well - everyone seems to be having trouble with everything in this Forum...
As with RAM, hard drives, video cards, mices, etc., etc. you will find many and various recommendations - and many and various reports of problems with the self-same item.
My impression would be that there are fewer reports of problems with the 111D, but that may be because it was introduced comparatively recently.
Bearing in mind the price, availability, the ease of fitting when it's a replacement for the 106D (the 'stand-offs', the screw-in spacers that support the drive at the right height for the tray to operate the silver optical drive gate mechanism and clear the edges of the aperture, are the correct length and can be re-used), and that it should be fully supported by OS X - it should be fine.
Of course, my personal experience is with the 110D - but that came from eBuyer, too.
...and don't forget to remove the bezel from the front edge of the tray...

  • Select microphone for audio driver?

    Please excuse my bad english.
Microphone is connected to PC. In the Windows' tool "Sound" -> "Recording" there are 2 microphones: first one which is built-in laptop, second one which is connected to audio card inlet.
With audio driver "ASIO4ALL v2" choosen at Edit -> Audio Hardware Setup -> Multitrack View -> Audio Driver recording comes from built-in microphone.
With "Generic Low Latency ASIO Driver" choosen recording comes from connected microphone. This microphone is better, but because of driver the recording sounds badly.
Can I use connected microphone with ASIO4ALL driver?
    Thank you for your attention.
    Audition version - 3.0
    Windows 7.

Your external microphone may be better but may not match the audio card mic input very well. Built in soundcards are really only meant for gaming playback or Skype communication purposes and are not good quality. So your mic might not sound any better even if you could pick it up in ASIO4All. However if you open ASIO4All's set up options you should be able to select the external mic there and use that instead of the internal one.
