    Hi Leon,
Thanks for your quick revert, but just wondering if Banking domain is good for FI/Co, as I guess it has more to do with Finance and not Retail Banking, I in the mean time searched another Module for Banking Industry called IS- Banking..I think, this module will be in line with the Banking Exp but whats the demand of this module in Banking sector that has to be seen!!

  • Career Help Needed

    Hii everybody-
My friend has worked as ABAP Trainee in a software company in Bangalore till June 30th and moved to Hyderabad (HYD is native place) because of personal reasons. She is finding it extremely difficult to get the job with her one year experience in ABAP. she has submitte her resume in many big companies but no response. She is desperate to make a good career in SAP, and moreover she needs a job. What suggestion you guys can give her?
I advised her to take certification course in emerging tools of SAP like Xi and EP. What are the chances of getting job in Hyderabad after taking certification?? Can she learn new SAP modules which is in demand today??
And to all working guys over there, if u have one year opening for ABAPers, please give her a chance in your company. She is a BE and has good communication skills and handson experience in ABAP reporting, BDCs, SMARTFORMS and also in HR ABAP.
    Thanks for your suggestions.
Points will be awarded as usual..

  • Career help. Whether to stay with  Xi or to take up ABAP with webdynpro ?

I have a situation where in I would like to get some professional help from you people here. I am sorry if I am expecting too much. And please caution me if this question is not supposed to be asked here.
The situation is that I have completed my Xi training and currently searching for a job. Earlier to this I have also done ABAP training. Recently I got an offer on ABAP Webdynpro . I said them clearly that I have no idea regarding it. Convinced over my knowledge on both Xi and ABAP, they are interested in offering me a scope in WD4A, with training, prior to deployment in the project . My doubt is that, if to wait for an Xi oppurtunity or accept the current offer and go get the desperately needed break. My conscious is dominating me to opt for the second one but at the same time very much interested in working with Xi as I am totally involved in it. The organisation which made the offer is running on SAP 4.7c and looking for an upgrade to ECC 6.0. I asked if they have any plans of deploying xi in near future and they replied that they are not sure enough because of the expensive license issue. In that case, I may have to give up Xi .
So kindly reply if you have any kind of suggestions over the issue. I am extremely thankful for sparing your valuable time in reading this thread.
    Thank you all,
    Krishna.

    Hi Krishna,
AS per my view, none of the technology is of least priority nither ABAP nor Web Dynpro or XI. You should be ready to accept this new kind of task. Just think in Positive way as you have the knowledge of ABAP, XI and now opportunity for Web Dynpro. Being multi skillsets is really good thing as per current Market requirments.
Today you might have preference for XI but tomorrow you don't know you may have better demand for Web Dynpro. Its my humble suggestion that to grab the current opportuniy and learn new things.
In XI, if you see there are many experts available , but there are very few who might have Multi Skill Sets.
Don't plan your Carreer Visions as per company's future plans. Are you going to stay in same company forever.....???? May be but you should develope your skill sets from the existing opportunities.
Currently you got opportunity on Web Dynpro. ..tomorrow there will be the company who might be looking for Web Dynpro XI combinations,, so better to take the existing opportunity.
Side by Side you can develope your own knowledge via self study..i.e. the best way I feel.
    Thanks

  • Oracle Career Help

    Hi,
I am new to Oracle though I am known to Oracle DBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Fusion, SOA, ADF and so many terms, but I am unable to choose which technology I should focus on.
I am university student and want to develop my final project in Oracle. I need help from you buddies to help me choose the technology which will help me secure and find job in future. Just tell me popular technologies and available. Some of my friends told me to work on Oracle Form and Reports 10g, but I think that is an old technology.
Please help me choosing the technology.

Why did I start my reply with that quote? Because I think you are focusing on the wrong thing. You should use your university time to explore several areas, and not all of them technology. Find out what you enjoy working with - application design? Database management and optimization? Networking? Security? How about geology? Chemistry? Literature? History? Expose yourself to several things, find what you truly enjoy and get very good at it. (If you really enjoy it, you will get very good at it). Employment will follow, and will be much more enjoyable than if you just pick "a technology" because you think it will provide the best employment. Odds are you'll be doing something else within 10 years anyway ( "Life Happens").

  • Data migration tools in sap

    hi,
i am newbie to s.a.p nd i got ma project related to data migration. we are taking data from legacy system to sap database. we are using a tool called cransoft. what about the future of this tool. how to plan my career in this data migration.need help from experienced persons. im a sap abap resource actually. im having practically no work using abap in this project.im very much concerned about ma career.help me out...
    thank you

    >>will my career depend on the tool im working in or it depends on data migration only
That is something which depends upon how much and what kind of experience you have, if you are an expert in one tool, then your career basically depends on it, but if you understand the concept and have good experience in multiple tools, then you will have broader domain.
In consulting, it is much easier to be an expert in one tool, you are not tied to one client and can find project somewhere else.
But if you are a permanent employee, then it helps to adjust your skillset as per the changing environment.
Having said that, you don't have to go after every tool in the market, try to diversify as per your interests and the market need.
Talking specifically about BODS, i have seen quiet a few clients using or planning to use it so its future looks bright, but then again, future can always change.
    Thanks

  • Speaker grill moving

Hi I have a problem with my iphone 4s. The speaker grill which you use to listen to on calls can move. It is not in a fixed position. You can move the grill to the right and you can see the speaker. I think that the speaker grill was not glued on properly and it is really easy to move. Can apple fix this?

You are correct. All iPhone 4S have full Warranty Coverage, make Genius Reservation and take iPhone to Apple for resolution. The Apple Store will not fix it, they will give you a perfect replacement iPhone 4S just like yours.
The earspeaker mesh is held in place to the back of the front screen glass by simple adhesive. If you like, move the mesh back to center, use a pin point to carefully help if you need. Then push firmly on the front glass at the ear hole to get the adhesive to re-adhere. If Apple forgot to put adhesive, then this will not work to well.

  • Trouble Importing ANY movie files

Everytime I go to import a mov. file, I get this error message that I've attached.
Using cs4 and never had this problem before yesterday.
I know this isn't much info, but can anyone SIMPLY DEFINE the nature of this message and why it would tell me that?
    Thanks you so much!

Yes, this article was very helpful. I want to try and erase the xmp files associated with the project....but after doing a search of my system cannot see or find any XMP files associated with this project. I even tried starting a new project and importing in all the assets, but I get errors doing that as well.
I guess I need to learn about XMP files!
Thanks for your caring help, I know some of this stuff baffles even the most seasoned vets...lol.
I have included a screen shot if anyone else wants to take a gander.
    Thank you guys!

If u r good in ABAP its not necesary to do certification.Certifcation are helpful tp promote you and add an extra edge.

    Hi, Ravi.
Based on your experience, you may want to start working your way to earning an MCSA for Windows Server 2012 R2. It requires you to pass three exams. The first exam you may want to take on is 70-410 which is on install Windows Server 2012.
Here is the MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification title description:
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/mcsa-windows-server-certification.aspx
As you can see, it will require you to pass three exams. Here they are:
70-410 Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/exam-70-410.aspx
    70-411 Administering Windows Server 2012

Microsoft offers free online training through different web sites. Consider these as a few of the many resources you can use to study for these exams.

  • Help me in my Career-Growth

    hii friends,
Currently I'm working as Pl/sql developer, I'd like to improve my technical skills...I need your valuable suggestions.I'm thinking of to learn informatica,congnos..is it worth doing for a pl/sql developer???will it help my career??I'm getting some suggestions to go for BPEL and Oracle BI tools.I'm in a turmoil to make a decision.I dont want to make a mistake at dis point of my career.Plz help me out .

    Hi Neha,
Neha, first congratulation on completing  3 yrs in ABAP. Well most people who have worked in ABAP for a good 3 to 6 years always prefer something new in their routine (want to explore new arena of SAP). Do worry Neha your not the only one who have thought this way.
Well Neha, I can suggest you few modules but that wouldn't really help you out. What I feel is it's best that you find out which areas you are good at and willing to explore (and have got exposed in these past 3 yrs like SD / MM).
Few of my colleague have upgraded their skills and moved from ABAP to  ABAP-SD consultant. These people tell me that it gives them a broader view of their company and its processes going on. They tell me, moving to SD was really a good decision they made on their side.
Well, I would advice you to plan something like what my colleague have done and hope that line may take you where wanted to go. </p>
    Regards,

  • Help me shaping my Career!!

    Hi Gurus,
I am working with an infrastructure firm since last one year as a SAP MM Consultant. This is the total experience I have in SAP. I wanted to know what would be the best possible career option for me :-
    a) If I continue as SAP MM Consultant with my current firm and side by side I apply to other companies as well.
    b) I go for ABAP course
    c) I go for M.S. Program in SAP from Victoria University, Australia.
    d) I go to Canada, Ragina region for PGDM course in SAP.
    Please help guys!!
    Thanks!

You are probably at the best place where you should be. Most difficult part of SAP career is breaking into an SAP CAREER. Almost all of the SAP jobs are for experienced professionals and it is very tough for the beginners to enter, even after doing SAP Certification which costs a lot. Luckily you are already into it. Stick with it. Gain 2-3 years of overall experience in the present company if you have good learning opportunity there. Else try to do a part-time course into MM module only and make sense out of the things at your present job. Once you understand Materials Management processes, your doubts will automatically go away and you will be confident in applying for jobs. If you want more credentials to add to your profile, SAP Certification can a good choice. The discussion on the topic of SAP Certification can be very lengthy. [You can read the following educational resource on SAP Certification.|http://www.best-career-guide-for-erp.com/sap-certification.html]
    Hope it helps

    Hi All,
Em..i just need some advice about choosing correct career path.I graduated with a first class in IT with business information science in 2009. In 2009 after looking for jobs for few months i took a manager post in a petrol station which i never wanted.(Due to the credit crunch & the Family financial reasons) .Then unfortunately i had to stay out of work for 18months due to a serious spinal code operation i had to face.now in 2011 July im fit & ready to start my life again. but im lost where to start/ which career path to choose. (i've still got the job at the petrol station as the manager)
ive liked data base management subject when i was in the University so, Ive been reading OCA-051 & interested on OCA qualification I just want to know what are the possible jobs i can apply if i get the certification? Thanks. You'll sit on your bum and ruin your back again with most IT jobs. With your government shrinking, OCA qualification won't have much worth unless you personally know someone in the private sector that needs help. An operator job with your petrol company (assuming it's not just a mom 'n pop station) would probably require heavy lifting.
IT is a good, solid, growing career path, but most of the work is still programming, and most ways up to better jobs go through that experience. You might be an exception if you have a way to join other skills with your IT education, such as business analysis or sales or web prettyfying. Perhaps the determinants are your personality and goals.
I know, it's tough, but if you are honest with yourself and check out some of the "what color is my parachute" kinds of career advice books, you can find a happy medium. There actually are some benefits in starting a career during economically troubled times, but you only see that in retrospect. You have to decide on goals, pursue them vigorously, and reevaluate when it doesn't work for you.

  • Need a help / advice & guidance whether to switch on my Career in SAP-PM from core industries after spending my 09 years of experience in Core field that to in Maintenance.

    Hello Adviser /expert,
Need a help / advice & guidance whether to switch on my Career in SAP-PM from core industries after spending my 09 years of experience in Core field that to in Maintenance.
As now i m thinking to do SAP-PM certified course from authorized SAP partner in India that to Pune.
So any one can suggest authorized SAP partner in India that to Pune.
My introduction (About myself): - I had done my Diploma in Mechanical and had total 09 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance field that to in different manufacturing company such as Steel, Auto Ancillary & Cotton plant.
Whether its right decision to change my career from Core sector to SAP-PM..??
Is there very good scope in SAP-Pm for me after 09 years of Core Maintenance field..???
    Guide me
    Warm Regard
    Ravin

    Ravindra,
SAP PM is very niche Module, very in demand module, at the same time, being niche, getting into it and getting 1 implementation is also difficult.
your decision of joining SAP authorized training is the best option, as a certified consultant, you have more chances to get a break as fresher and you can continue working on it, else it would waste of your intellectual energy.
you just search sap.com training or email them or chat with them, they will give u the training center details,
but very less training classes are available. Try you will get lucky soon
