CarKit 616 and Audi OEM Microphone

Is it possible to use the Audi OEM microphone, which comes with the Audi hands-free set and is mounted near the rear mirror, as well with the CarKit 616?
I understand, that a proper plug needs to be installed, but aside from this? Maybe this microphone is the same as one of the Nokia's anyways? The Audi part number is 8L1 862 373 A.
At the moment, I don't have any other info about the micro.
Thanks, Thomas

Well, the Audi one's characteristics are exactly matched to the installation position and it is directed towards the driver.
No doubt, that the one supplied by Nokia will work perfectly. I always had CarKit90 in my previous cars (with the Nokia micro) and I was very content.
However, this time I just want to reuse the Audi mic, which is perfectly integrated. At least, I want to find out if it is a option at all, or if some electrical paramters (impedace, ...) stand against it, which make it impossible.
So, if anybody has some experience with this setup (CarKit 616, Audi hands-free telephone microphone in an Audi A4 Avant 2006/07), either positive or negative, pls. let me know
Thanks, Thomas

  • 3000 n200 0769-BRG upgrade options and poss duff microphone

    Hi all nice forum,
                               I recieved a 3000 n200 0769-BRG (TY2BRUK) for my birthday last week and after getting rid of Vista and installing xp pro am very pleased with it. Quick couple of questions however;
     The microphone is extremely quiet in use and you have to shout for sound to work. Is there a driver/bios upgrade that would fix this?
    Also I have scoured the Lenovo site for info on the iel10 motherboard because I would like to upgrade the processor in a month or two when I have some more cash but can't find a list of supported processors anywhere. May also be interested in upgrading the nvidia 7300go if that is at all possible too.
    As I said overall I am really pleased with the machine - very well put together and great for the cost price.
    Any info greatly appreciated
    Regards

    Hi
    To get the microphone working correctly, go to the control panel and find the Realtek icon (I assume you have installed the Realtek drivers for audio for XP).  Go to the mixer tab and on the top row far right is the microphone setting.  Make sure it is muted and the slider is at the top.  Then click the small button at the bottom of the slider with the two dots [..] and make sure microphone boost is selected.
    Has this helped?

  • WSUS updates not applying to Office 2013 Home and Business OEM version

    Hi
    For some reason I cannot get WSUS updates to automatically install on clients running Office 2013 Home and Business OEM version.
    For example
    If user opens any of the office 2013 apps e.g. Outlook , word etc, it prompts a message at the top under the ribbon toolbar; UPDATE NOW.
    All other updates for OS are downloading and installing just fine from our WSUS server.
    What could this be?
    I dont have this issue with clients running office 2003

    First thing you need to do is be absolutely certain which edition of Office you have installed.
    There are five editions of "Office 365" and these days, almost anything that is "OEM" is almost certainly Office 365:
    Office 365 Home
    Office 365 Personal
    Office 365 Small Business
    Office 365 Small Business Premium
    Office 365 Midsize Business
    Office 365 ships with an activation code for an online management account, and authorizes the installation of the software on up to five devices. Office 365 is updated via the WEB .. ONLY.
    In addition there are three editions of Office 2013:
    Office Home & Student
    Office Home & Business
    Office Professional
    If you have one of these three editions, you should also have a DVD and a Product Activation Code for the SINGLE-PC installation which is licensed for these editions provided by the vendor of your computers. Office 2013 can be updated using WSUS.
    Since you're getting a prompt IN THE APPLICATION to "Update Now", I believe you're looking at instances of Office 365, not Office 2013. Office 2013 (desktop) does not provide in-product prompts for updates/upgrades.

  • I am considering purchasing the Mac mini for home studio audio production using Adobe Audition and a USB microphone.  Will the base mini model run these programs?

    I am considering purchasing the Mac mini for home studio audio production using Adobe Audition and a USB microphone.  Will the base mini model run these programs?

    The base mini has 4GB and a 5400 RPM hard drive. It is slow to start up and slow to launch large application such as Word (and I'd assume Adobe Audition) due to the slow drive. I've not used a new 4GB model, just the 8GB model, and the 8GB model (except for the slow drive) handles everything I've thrown at it, including running Photoshop, Word, Safari, and Mail at the same time but there is sometimes a delay switching between programs as the swapfile is updated. Overall I was not happy with the 5400 RPM drive (perhaps because I have MBA and iMac with Fusion drive) so I eventually upgraded it with an SSD. Now the mini is truly a warrior.

  • How to Deinstall And Install OEM again

    hi Experts,
    Can somebody pls explain me how to deinstall and install OEM. ????
    I can not view any options in OEM. it referes a incorret machine name.

    DBMS Direct ,
    As u mentioned emca didn't work for me.
    when I issued the command it gave me the following ...
    Oracle@DB1 $ emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos drop
    Incorrect usage:
    oracle.sysman.emcp.EMConfigAssistant [options] [list of parameters]
    Options:
    -a :configure for an ASM database
    -b :configure for automatic backup
    -c :configure a cluster database
    -e <node> :remove a node from the cluster
    -f <file> :specify the file name that contains parameter values
    -h :help
    -m :configure EM for a central agent
    -n <node> :add a new node to the cluster
    -r :skip creation of repository schema
    -s :silent mode (no user prompts
    -x <db> :deletion of a SID or DB
    -RMI_PORT <port> :specify the RMI port for DB Control
    -JMS_PORT <port> :specify the JMS port for DB Control
    -AGENT_PORT <port> :specify the EM agent port
    -DBCONSOLE_HTTP_PORT <port> :specify the DB Control HTTP port
    The script will prompt for any required data that is not specified in a configuration file. The script always prompts for all required passwords. If you use a configuration file, the file may contain any of the following specifications, as shown, with the specified values correctly filled in:
    And there is more to this msg.
    So I think manually droping sysman would work.
    So issuing only
    drop user sysman cascade;
    whould be enough ??? or do I have to do anything else ????
    And after that how do I recreate it ....???
    Is it using ,
    emca -deconfig dbcontrol db -repos create.
    or using some other way ????

  • Is it possible to change instance and use OEM ?

    We have 4 single DB instance in same oracle 11gr2 server on win2008R2.
    We will not use grid control because of lack of time, knowledge and customer approval.
    Is it possible to change instance and use OEM by changing ORACLE_UNQNAME variable or in any way ?

    840105 wrote:
    IF what EdStevens said is true,
    WHat environmental variable ,or othe settings shoud I set to start 4 different dbconsole and access those OEM in same server ?
    "IF" what I said is true???
    The same environment variables you set to start the database itself .....
    Here's the environment with no oracle-specific settings:
    oracle:$ env | grep ORA | sort
    PS1=\n\u:$ORACLE_SID$
    Now we set the environment for database 'orcl'
    oracle:$ . oraenv
    ORACLE_SID = [oracle] ? orcl
    The Oracle base for ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1 is /u01/app/oracle
    Now the environment looks like this:
    oracle:orcl$ env | grep ORA | sort
    ORACLE_BASE=/u01/app/oracle
    ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/db_1
    ORACLE_SID=orcl
    PS1=\n\u:$ORACLE_SID$
    Start the dbcontrol
    oracle:orcl$ emctl start dbconsole

  • [SOLVED] HP420 and Built-in microphone don't work.

    I have a trouble with my on-board microphone in my laptop (hp-420), it was working some months ago (with previous kernel) and I didn't use it for a while, after several upgrades now I tired to use it and it doesn't work. Second microphone, a jack, doesn't work either, and it's arch related, because I did some tests in windows (have dual boot) and both the built-in and jack work fine. So far I have tried testing alsa configurations, played with preferences and some other things I have read over the internet and in arch forums, but no luck at all. I may think it's kernel related but I'm not sure as I'm not an expert. Also sound works fine, it's only the built in microphone the one I can not get to work. I whish someone could help me or guide me.
    So all the info I could gather about my machine and the sound

    What is under the switches tab?
    Oh -- By the way, that picture is over the size limit defined in the forum rules in tems of pixels, but the file size is okay.  I'll let it slide.  Watch the bumping as well.
    If you want to post the switches tab, upload it to someplace like http://img3.imageshack.us/, copy the thumbnail (which has the link to the original)  back here, and you are golden.
    I had a bear of a time getting the microphone working on my HP DV4, but it does work.  I'll look at the set up when I get home tonight [USA-PDT].
    Sorry for the picture and the "bumping"... I have asked in irc in arch and alsa channels and no luck yet... one guy from alsa said I had to wait for the alsa-driver-1.0.24 package (currently I have alsa-driver-1.0.23) but it is weird because the microphone worked some months ago...
    So here is what it is under the switches tab

  • I got my Macbook Pro 17inch (early 2011) back from Apple (they had to replace the logic board) and now my microphone is not working

    I got my Macbook Pro 17inch (early 2011) back from Apple (they had to replace the logic board) 3 days ago, I had a terrible experience as the genious who gave me my solid state disk for safekeeping lost my disk's brackets thus I had to wait 2 more hours until they find one after 10 days of waiting for the repair. I noticed some weird sounds, like somehting is moving with the mac 1-2 times, even if I have no mechanical parts other than the fans, but my real issue at the moment is that my microphone is not working. I can see the mic in the System Info however and in Audio Midi Setup. In the Audio Midi Setup I see that the master chanel is turned off and I can't turn in on. Ch 1 and 2 are on full. I also noticed the first seconds after the comp. boots the blue bar goes to the middle in the System Preferences -> Sound -> Input. Any ideas what to do or try? I do not want to go back to the apple store as it is 50 minutes away from here and I need my laptop as a computer science student. Everything else is working perfectly.

    You need to call both the store that did the repair and Apple directly, warranty service or Apple care, and report this problem with both of them and get a ticket number of some kind (some kind of verification number) that the unit just came back from major service with this problem and that you want it fixed when you can lose the use of it, which is not right now.
    Without doing something like that they could easily say it is damage not covered under the normal warranty.
    God knows what the repair center did and did not do to it while it was there.
    And depending on when you actually bought it the warranty could run out in the mean time.

  • Office 2013 Home and Business OEM First Run screen

    Hi There
    We are starting to roll out office 2013 oem Home and Business our users are reporting that the first run screen get coming up every time there open an office application.
    In Group Policy I've disable the First Run Movie and Office First run on application boot however the users are still getting to first run screen this is every annoying.
    Any help with would be great?
    Cheers,
    Brett

    The policy setting should work: it correctly adds bootedrtm=1 value to HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\office\15.0\firstrun. But for some reason Office apps ignore it. I tried disabling the entire policy, then go through the welcome screen. After finishing
    with it, office created the same value, but in another place (HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\FirstRun), and the screen never appeared anymore.
    So to make the setting work, you have to manually create registry setting (via GPO preference) with the following data:.
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\FirstRun]
    "BootedRTM"=dword:00000001
    P.S. this was pretty easy, but did anyone look at disabling the EULA prompt? The acceptance is marked by creating a registry key for each user, but the path contains computer name :)) Therefore if all users of the PC have accepted the agreement, and you
    renamed the computer, the popup comes back again. And of course group policy is impossible with such path.

  • How to (what to) download and install OEM database control

    Hello
    Can you please tell me the name of the file I should download (Is it still accessible?). I have download many of the oracle product files but don't have the OEM one burned to a CD.
    I want to reinstall my database as I have changed my domain name and the OracleConsole(orcl)
    I.E.
    L:\app\owner\product\11.2.0\db_1\bin\nmesrvc.exe fails to start.
    My situation is that I am using a single instance of Oracle 11G R2 for self educational training and development.
    I am running on Windows XP SP3.

    Hi,
    To create or recreate a database control you need to execute the following commands:
    Create the DB Control Repository Objects and Configuration Files
    $ <ORACLE_HOME>bin/emca -config dbcontrol db -repos create
    ReCreate the DB Control Repository Objects and Configuration Files
    $ <ORACLE_HOME>bin/emca -config dbcontrol db -repos recreate

  • Cark 91 and 6210 - No Sound

    Hi everyone
    recently bought a car from a trader with a Cark 91 fitted so not sure if it's in working order.
    borrowed a 6210 which fits the cradle, the phone charges in the cradle but no sound from speaker when either making or receiving a call.
    bought a new Cark 91 in box, never used before so should be ok and have replaced all the parts but still no sound from speaker apart from a crackle when the phone is placed into the cradle.
    anyone have any ideas please?
    intend buying a CA-55 and a CR-56 cradle so I can upgrade to a 6233 but would like to know the system is working as it should before I do this.
    Help!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Danny
    Have got my 6233 now and the CA-55 and CR-56 came in the post this morning. Have fitted both, the phone works fine and even the cd mutes when it rings!! only prob is when I put the phone in the holder a message comes up saying charging, 2 or 3 seconds later it goes off and another message saying charger not supported comes up, any clues please? according to the nokia website the CR-56 cradle charges the phone!!
    Cheers

  • Droid 3 Bluetooth and Audi A6 problems

    I can pair my Droid 3 with my Audi A6 but can't get my contact list to transfer from the droid to the car.  I've tried other things that I've seen posted and that hasn't helped.  Any ideas?
    P.S. I also had the bluetooth just kick me out while I was in the middle of a conversation with a connected call.  That's pretty dangerous when you are driving.

    hey delving,
    start over by deleting your phone from the mmi and reconnect. watch your phone because it will appear for one second asking to download phonebook and you need to catch that step. you should be fine after that.

  • Nokia 6234 and Audi A6 car

    I have the 6234 and a Audi A6 car and the phone is connected via BT to the car, exporting the phone numbers stored in the mobile and sim so that i can access them from the car display (MMI).
    Unfortunately, i do not know for what reason, quite often the BT connection between car and phone get lost and i need to switch the BT off and than on to reconnect. Of course this is quite annoying since it happens too often.
    Since i cannot change the car, i'd like to buy a new Nokia but i need it to support the exporting address to the car Multi Media Interface. I have test some Nokia phones (N73 and N70 and also 6230i) but with none of them i can access the addresses stored in the phone/sim from the car MMI. I can phone but i need to access the addresses
    So, what is a reliable phone with a good BT that can be used with my car and allow me to use the phone numbers stored in the phone/sim via the Multi Media Interface of the Audi A6?
    thanks

    Ok, here how it goes, the best source to advise you about this issue is the source that put this car kit together i.e. Audi. This is for the reason that they usually test these systems with different models of phones. They know which components have been included and what BT version is being used. In relation to the phone that you are using at present I advise you to restore the fact settings and check that you have the latest software version available to your phone model and network. To restore fact settings – type *#7780# from the standby mode depending on your model you may have to choose settings only and create a security code or use the default one 12345. For checking software version please follow this link and the instruction therein. http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4777089
