Carrier access code needed to call our cell phones

I am unable to call our cell phones on our Verizon land line.  We keep getting a Verizon intercept message stating we need a carrier access code and advising to call the business office.  I called our Verizon business office and they referred me to their repair serive.  The repair service advised that it was not their problem and advised they would refer the issue to the central office---whatever that is.  This happened about 10 days ago and still no reponse from their "central office".
I am able to dial our Verizon phone from our cell phone.  This has been going off and on for about 6 months and still not resolved.
   Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, I am sorry you are having issues with reaching your cell phones. Please PM me your home phone # and the numbers and carriers of the phones you can not reach and I will see what I can do to help.

  • JAVA: calling a cell phone

How can I call a cell phone using java?
I need it to make a call to a certain number and play a certain voice message, (and also send a text message).
    LP

It depends which hardware you want to use, you can send sms messages via a cellphone which you have connected to your pc. Then you can use AT-commands which you have to send to the port where you have connected your phone (or gsm modul). To do this from within an application you can use javax.comm to communicate with your serial port!
Hope it helps a little bit.

  • When I call other cell phones, the recipient hears an echo of his/her own voice.  What causes this?

When I call other cell phones or receive calls from other cell phones, the other party hears an echo of his/her own voice.  I do not hear the echo. Is there something wrong with my iPhone 4S?

happens once in awhile. jsut the established connection.

  • Our cell phones (iPhone 5 and Moto Droid M) keep dropping calls while inside our home.

We have to run outside to try to answer calls.  Sometimes the calls go directly to voice mail since apparently the signal isn't strong enough to activate the ringer.  Is there a tech support number I can call for advice?

The problem only occurs inside the house.  If we walk/run outside, the phones work fine.  Our guests experience the same issues when they visit.  The house does have a radiant barrier in the roof – might this be the problem?
What can I do?  I would prefer a dialogue with a Customer Service rep who is knowledgeable and can help solve this problem.  I can demonstrate the problem with the cell phones – hard to do in an email.

  • How to access INTRANET mobile applications from a cell phone

    Hi,
I have installed 9iAS rel 2 on two HPUX boxes (2 tiers installation) and I have followed the quickstart section of the 9iAS wireless - Get Started and System Guide, to test the wireless functionality. Most of the functions are working fine except the SMS and we are still working on the (out of the box) SMS function and try to fix it. Anyway, the next step is to access the out-of-the-box functionality in reality. The 9iAS installation is sitting in our intranet and would like to know what steps we need to do in order to access our intranet wireless application? I know we need a dial up line to access our intranet and a WAP gateway. Our unix admin is in the process of installing the WAP gateway. Once he finish setting up the gateway, what is the next step to access the intranet wireless application using the cell phone?
    Your comments are highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Derek

The way I did it was install the WAPLite gateway and then set up my mobile phone to use PPP access to get behind my firewall. I had to set the IP of my WAP gateway in the mobile phone settings too.
    Hope that helps.

  • Need to record from Cell phone to my mac.

Anyone know of a device perhaps from Radio shack that can plug into my cell phone and go into my mac so I can record scratch track VO?
I need to hear the Scratch track with an ear piece of my own as it enters my mac.

    xs4is,
Well I went off to Radio Shack to to ask them about an adapter because I saw one online once. They had not heard of it. So we began to go the put a bunch of connectors together route but I wasn't sure if the level out of my cell phone would be strong enough to go into a my macs line level input. Once I realized no one in the Radio Shack knew what a line level in was so I decided to look online for a solution.

  • Forwarded call to cell phone is not displayed with...

I have a subscription allowing me to let calls to my skype online-number be forwarded to my cell phone. Now, if someone calls my skype number and is forwarded to my cell phone, my cell phone only shows "unknown". This is also the case, if the person calling me and being forwarded has activated his phone to show its number. So it has to be a setting inside the skype-program. How can I change this setting to let the number calling me being displayed on my cell phone?
Thank you, I appreciate your help very much.

It is possible that the telephone network is not passing the Caller ID information along.  This is the case in certain countries, even if the caller has enabled Caller ID and you have set a number in your Skype account to be used as Caller ID.  Have you done that yet?  Log into your account here on the Skype web site using the "Account" link at the top of this page to see your Skype account's Caller ID settings.
If you have Caller ID set up on your Skype account, sometimes you will see your own Caller ID number when calls are forwarded from Skype.  Other times, it may be "unknown" or a series of digits.  Unfortunately, Skype does not have control over all of this, since Skype works with partners in many countries to provide services using the telephone network (making calls to or receiving calls from telephones, forwarding calls from Skype to a telephone number, Caller ID, etc.).

  • Best rate to call Mexico cell phone?

I wish to call a north Mexico cell phone, how do I enter the number, and what is the best rate?
    Post transferred from blog article;
    subject/title edited accordingly.

    Good morning werl,
The scenario that you have provided is an interesting one and I would love to clarify for the community. May I ask which call forwarding option do you expect to have activated, immediate call forwarding or No answer/busy transfer? If the party activating the Call Forwarding or No Answer/Busy Transfer Feature forwards the calls to another Verizon Wireless number and has a Mobile to Mobile Calling feature, airtime for the Call Forwarding will deduct from the Mobile to Mobile Calling minutes. If you have any additional questions then please respond to this message so can further assist.
    Thank you...

  • Calling international cell phones

I heard there is an app where you can call an international cell phone for free, does anyone know about it, or is there anything like it?

Your best solution is either to find WiFi hotspots and use the Skype application for iPhone / Android to stay in touch.
If you use your 3G/4G then you will incur expensive data roaming charges with your operator (unless you have some international plan).
If you want to use Skype To Go numbers, it's only useful if you want to call internationally, so not too helpful for domestic calling within a country.

  • Our cell phones causes Firefox not to load on my laptop.

When my friend came in with his cell phone, Firefox could not load any other page. The internet was working. Some type of file must have been sent to the cell phones to cause this. My phone creates the same problem. I remove the battery from the phone. If I forget, a file is sent requesting me to urgently download a Firefox plugin which I refuse to do since I believe it is malevolent. This happens when the cell phones are near the computer in the same room.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
Mozilla are working to prevent Mac users with non-compatible systems from getting the notification about Firefox 4, and also not displaying the "Download Firefox 4" button on http://www.mozilla.com
