Carrier guidelines PLEASE!!!
Hi all,
I have H1B and m an ABAPer having experiance ( even haveing abroad experiance ).
So, in addition to my ABAP skills what I need to focus on .Have some months of experiance on ALE/IDOCS also.
Which skills I need to focus. What are the things I need to learn . Could someone guide me .

The way to go depends on your aims. If you want to immerse into complex and demanding ABAP development then I highly recommend to learn and understand ABAP-OO. Understanding ABAP-OO basically means to understand how to analyse a problem and realise the solution in an object-oriented manner.
I think SAP itself is not the best way to learn OO principles. I took a postgraduate ("Java Programmer") where I gained lots of insights into OO that I could easily transfer to ABAP.
Anyway, any business knowledge will always be an asset.

you can't use scenes in html5 projects.
that's also no significant limitation because there's never a situation (afaik) where you need to use scenes. they are strictly a convenience for designers.
i don't know any programmers that use scenes. -
OS X 10.4.1 Unable to print photos. Error message appears, " There were no themes located. Until at least one theme is installed this cannot be carried out." please advise.

> Look in your User/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder for a Themes folder. If you find it there move it to the HD/Library/Application Support/iPhoto folder and reboot. Then try iPhoto again. That may save you having to go thru the reinstallation.

I have the iPhone 4 and I usually shut my phone off to get sleep at night. When I turned it back on it, the service bar never reappeared. My phone is basically my only means of communication with the rest of the world, so I would appreciate if I could have help rather quickly! Your carrier didn't try to reset your connection which requires the iPhone being off when doing so?
And you restored your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from the backup? -
OBIEE 11g newbie - need guidelines please

I have installed OBIEE11g on Windows XP 32bit using simple install, mainly to start learning this technology. My initial aim is to create reports using BI publisher.
From what I have read through the manuals and blogs/forums/tutorials, I need to enable BI Pubisher Security mode, so that I control the roles and permissions through BI Publisher instead of using the whole server, instance, em stack. I have done that. My problem is that I cannot create a catalog for grouping my application folders and saving reports (and later assigning access rights to specific users and roles). What am I missing??? I thought that I needed to create a repository for the application, but I would not know where to start.
I could use someone to point me to the right direction. The Oracle Manuals are so interweaved and bouncing back and forth (from BI Server to Weblogic Server back to Publisher, etc). It is the first time that I really cannot find my way through the Oracle Documentation (I have previously installed and maintained various versions of Oracle Database, even on 10g RAC, I have been developing on Forms, Reports, Discoverer, PL/SQL applications). With OBIEE I'm at a loss.

PetrosYou can either create a new RPD, or if you install the BI Apps it will create a RPD and Web Catalog for you, but may also give you a bunch of stuff you do not need. Once you create a RPD, you can then use that to create a data model in Publisher to build out a report. You can create users and groups through Web Logic, then assign users to specific groups. In Answers you can control what they have access to as far as functionality and then set permission for the groups on specific reports. Be sure to grant SOAP access to the groups or they will not be able to access Publisher.

It looks like the iPhone is locked to a carrier that is not the one you are trying to use.
You need to determine which carrier it is locked to and then contact them to see if they are willing to authorise the unlocking of your iPhone. As ManSinha mentioned, many carriers will only authorised the unlock if requested by the customer who had the contract with them for this iPhone.
Remember that only the carrier who owns the lock on your Iphone can authorise Apple to unlock the iPhone in their servers. You need to contact the carrier or have the previous owner of the iPhone request the unlocking. -
Are there any guidelines on how to customize R/3 reports into BW
Hi Everyone,
I have quite a number of R/3 reports that is required to be converted into a BW report but I do not know what I am supposed to do.
Are there any guidelines on how to determine if a R/3 report should be created in BW? If it should be done in BW, how do I consider if it should be reported of a cube or an ODS?
I have been doing development for ard 3years and this is the first time I have to analyze and come up with a functional/design specs. Need help.

TABS -> here Venkat was refering to SAP education courses on BW on extraction,reporting etc.
I am not aware if there are any guidelines given by SAP.
I will try to help you build the approrach for this:-
1. You should collect functional specification of R/3 report. This will include the functionality of that report, logic & calculations involved, usage of report output by end users etc.
2. Collect technical specification- In this you create excel sheet with all fields in R/3 report with relevant details such as formulas used, calculations involved etc.
3.Map these technical specs with BW business content. Try to see if you can get Business content datasource which will be a fit for majority of your R/3 report fields.
4.Carry out gap analysis and end of this excerise determine how you are going to fill this gap - whether buy using Zinfoobject,routines,datasource enhancements etc.
5.Classify the reports as Aggregate or transactional level. If it is transactional level then you need to make use of ODS.This will determine your data model in BW.
6.Based on 5 steps mentioned above,create a design document with dataflow & data model details.
7. Get a Sign off on functional,technical specs & design document with proposed dataflow from users and implement it.
For templates of functional & technical specs , you can refer to blueprint section of Accelerated SAP.

I need help, I use my phone for everything enclusive to work. I appreciate if you can help. I'm from Brazil. My name and giullia.Did you purchase this device from Apple or an authorized reseller? It sounds as if you had a device that was jailbroken/hacked to operate on your carrier. Upon updating the iOS, it is now locked back to the original carrier the device was locked to.
Only the carrier the device is locked to can authorize an unlock. You will need to make contact with that carrier and see if they provide unlocking services, and if they do, if you qualify for an unlock. Otherwise, you are out of luck. One that carrier can take care of the unlocking. -
Probably will never ever think of buying a locked phone from AT&T cause its one of the worst system integrations ever that these companies could think of.
The entire problem started when I put in a request with at&t to unlock my iphone 4s (ios7) which did get approved. I performed the entire instructions they asked me to do, which is to backup and restore. After doing those instructions my iphone gave me an error message below

Basically saying that at&t hasn't still unlocked the iphone which a really helpful apple executive was able to confirm. I initiated another unlock process from at&t in order to unlock the iphone, just to be sure that its not something wrong from my end. The nice at&t lady stayed on chat with me to unlock the iphone step my step while I was calling the apple tech too. And the apple tech confirmed again that the iphone is locked to at&t.
Now, just a few minutes ago I tried another restore to see if any progress is being made and to my surprise I got an error message saying
Replacement Needed. This iphone is not able to complete the activation process and needs to be replaced. Please visit your nearest apple store or authorized service center.
I feel like I am just going around these two different "money hogger" companies which set certain rules and regulations to screw a regular phone buyer. I purchased this iphone in USA and trying to unlock in India, is it really this hard to simply unlock a device.
For now I am going to try to call a apple office in india (apprently we don't have very many out here) and see if they can help me. But any other assistance regarding unlocking an iphone 4s would be helpful. I have however, tried checking IMEI.info, called up apple, talked to at&t (which always say go talk to apple) I do have a case number from apple as well in case an apple executive reads this discussion forum (case number: 566383594)

Are you with me so far? - Yes.
And @ Varjak is right that after the 3rd restore I get the replacement error.
Plus I have NEVER jailbroken the iPhone. To give you another update, I spoke to a really nice apple tech in India who was atleast able to get me out of the replacement error by doing a recovery mode option. However, the lastest restore still gives me the same error

I have purchased the iPhone 6 64GB Silver from Verizon Wireless. I purchased it on November 18th 2014 and i was able to use the phone under the Verizon Network for 2 days I asked Verizon as ALWAYS to have to Unlocked because i was leaving the country in business trip for a week and therefor i wanted to use my iPhone with the Vodafone Network as i have always done this with the previous iPhone's under Verizon network. When i had my iPhone 5 & iPhone 5S i have called Verizon to have it unlocked and therefor they have done it, but now with the new iPhone 6 they tell me that its a 4G Phone and its already unlocked sir, there is nothing they can do to unlock it any further but in reality the iPhone 6 its Lock to Verizon Wireless Network, according to Apple, and Vodafone they both say that its Locked to Verizon Wireless, that's what it shows in their system. Now i have called Verizon and asked them again to unlock my iPhone which they insist and tell me the same thing over and over even their Manager and Global Team Support including the Supervisors they all say the same thing that the iPhone is Unlocked!!!! Now i have contacted Apple again this time Apple said that it is locked to Verizon is what they see on their computer that this IME#354409063763754 is showing Locked to Verizon once again and again and AGAIN! so who is lying here Apple or Verizon?!? Interesting! one of the Apple costumer care could not believe my story after speaking to 5 different one from Apple and 38 different from Verizon, and there for she decided to call Verizon and find out why aren't they unlocking my device. now, after being on the phone 3 way me Apple care and Verizon for 15min Verizon hangs up the phone on Apples face and tells me I can Not Believe they hang up on my face! interesting huh? Well Apple care then said ill transfer you to Seignior Adviser for further help there is nothing that she could do, but transfer me to much higher grade in helping the costumers. Now the Seignior Adviser couldn't believe that i had to go through all this and said I'm here to help and i will help, i said sure you will, will see how much you can. Then he tries and tries and in the end NOTHING! since he couldn't do anything he said let me transfer you to much higher which is their Consumer Relations. Now they couldn't believe that i had to go through all this and that they have never heard such story that this had happen to anyone before, there for he was going to help me resolve my issue. Now they have contacted Verizon and Verizon keeps saying the same thing mean while on the Apple system it still shows Locked to Verizon Wireless.
Now what they Verizon and Apple did to try and resolve this issue is Connecting my iPhone 6 to iTunes and have it Factory Restore! ok! so i did as i was told,
now after 30 min of restoring the iPhone to factory settings im back to Activation Screen from beginning.
1. Choose Language - English
2. Choose Region - United States
3. Choose Wi-Fi
4. Sim Not Valid!
there is no other options, either go back or retry, and none has worked. I have done the Restore 5 times with and with out sim card and still same error,
With out the sim card, after choose the Wi-Fi, it says Sim Required, there is no other options only go back and retry.
I put the sim back in and its still says the same

Also, what both Apple and Verizon have told you are both true. Verizon tell you that the phone is unlocked and this is true, because all Verizon phones have a GSM portion to the phone and this is unlocked to use with local sim cards internationally, so yes, the GSM portion of the phone is unlocked in this respect.
What Apple have told you about the phone being locked to Verizon is also true - a Verizon phone is a CDMA phone and works on the CDMA networks, which is different from GSM and the phone is locked to Verizon in the US, so if you go to the US, then you can never use the phone on any other network other than Verizon, so yes, in this respect the phone is locked to Verizon in the US because if you go to the US you will only ever be able to use the phone with Verizon, but the GSM portion of the phone is unlocked, so if you live in Germany, then you can use both a Vodafone and 02 sim card with the phone or any other local sim card that you want and the phone will work.
So what you have been told about the phone by both Apple and Verizon are correct - the phone is locked to Verizon, but only for use in the US on the CDMA Verizon network. Other than that, the GSM portion of the phone is unlocked. -
HI, Im using Iphone 4 and i recently got my IOS updated to IOS7 and now im getting the error message as "PDP authentication failure" Im using Aircel carrier.

I am not one to give up. So I called AT&T today. Now they are telling me they canceled my order because they were unable to fulfill my order. Basically, AT&T told me they sold out so they canceled my order so I can proceed to reorder again. It took them 4 days to realize this. I will be lucky if I get a new phone by Christmas. I am sure they will find a way to cancel my order again.
Again, I argued, how is this my fault. I placed my order at the store around 11 a.m. Pacific time. My friend ordered his phone online sometime after me. He got his but my order was canceled. AT&T tried to explain to me that they sold over 600,000 phones, almost 500 per minute during there peak. Again, I asked, how this was my fault.
I can understand over selling the phone. It is a great product. There is no reason to cancel my order. You adjust my order and tell me you will let me know when my phone will be in. I would have been mad that my phone was going to be late but I would have survived. At least I would be getting one.
At this point, I have no order and AT&T or Apple website will allow me to order one. I just want to get in the QUEUE for one.

Cant understand what to do now...Sounds like the iPhone was hacked to be unlocked. When restoring an iPhone with iTunes that was hacked to be unlocked, the hack is removed and re-locked to the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with when new.

Issue in creating Credit Note for road carrier invoice from SAP TM system
Dear All,
I am facing issue in creating Credit Note for road carrier invoice from SAP TM system.
The following steps I have performed:
1)
1) 1) Create Freight order with Amount 20,100
2) 2) Create Freight Settlement Doc and send it to ECC. Hence PO and SES will be created in ECC with Amount 20,100
3) 3) Invoice verification (MIRO) done w.r.t. FO in ECC with Amount 20,100 and following entries posted :
Carrier A/c - 20,100Cr
GR/IR A/c – 20,100 Dr
4) 4) Created Credit Note in SAP TM against freight order with Amount 1,010 and transfer it to SAP ECC.
5) 5) By this a new PO and SES was created with negative values (with amount 1,010) in SAP ECC
6) 6) In transaction MIRO, Credit Memo was created against the freight order.
7) 7) By this it is showing value 21,110 by adding the line items of Original Purchase Order and Credit Note Purchase Order as 20,100 and 1,010 respectively.
8) 8) By posting this following are the accounting entries which is not correct:
Carrier A/c – 21,110 Dr
GR/IR – 20,100 Cr
GR/IR – 1,010 Cr
9) 9) In report FBL1N which is showing the remaining liability of value 1,010(21,100 – 20,100) instead of 19,090 (20,100-1,010=19,090) for the carrier.
Please suggest how to resolve the issue and get the correct accounting for credit memo?
