Carry our Sourcing link not present in EP for SRM 7.0

Hi
We are using SRM 7.0. When we create a Shopping Cart then as per the configurations made it should be present in Purchaser's Sourcing cockpit for further action. However when we log in as Purchaser we do not see the "Carry Out Sourcing" link at all even though all the possible roles have been assigned to him in Portal. We get the Strategic Purchasing link but there isn't anything within it.
Can someone kindly give us a few leads to solve the issue.

Links not working in Reader for some

Hi,
I'm making PDF documents from InDesign and then opening up the PDF in Acrobat Pro on my Mac and adding in links. Once I save and open the PDFs again, I'm able to click on the links in both Pro and Reader and they work on my computer, but for others on a PC using the Reader 11, the links don't work. Anyone have any idea why this might be happening?

Hmm. Sounds like something went wrong with the links. Are they spelled out (using http://www....etc) or are they hyperlinks? If they are spelled out, you could have your version of Reader set to recognize links and they may not (Edit>Preferences>General>Basic tools - Create links from URLs).
To create links in ID, highlight the text, go to your hyperlinks pallet and in the drop-down select "New link" and fill in the appropriate information. Then when you export it to PDF from ID, in the "General" settings section under "include" select "Hyperlinks".
There are other options you may want to be aware of but that's better asked about in the ID forum.

997 adapter type not present in Seeburger for PI 7.1

Hello Experts,
We recently installed Seeburger on our PI 7.1 system. We deployed all the relevant modules successfully and also imported the meta-data to ESR after whcih we were able to see the FTP adapter from Seeburger. But we were not able to see 997 adapter.
As mentioned in one of the blog, it is necessary to post funcitonal acknowledgements and configuration of 997 adapter is required for the same.
We checked the installation guide from Seeburger but nothing has been mentioned in the same. any idea how to get the same in ID?
Also one more doubt. Suppose I am getting 850 orders from 2 customers do i need to configure Identifiers in the Sender Seeburger adapter representing different customers?

Rajiv,
Identifiers are required only when the receiver channel is IDOC.
To summarise, you create one party per customer and the same would be done in partner profile as customer rather than logical system,.
Then you specifiy the identifiers in parties and the same is represented in idoc communication channel . By this the idoc comms channel will know which customer in ERP it needs to post the idoc.
This will be used only when the receiver is idoc. Moreover in seeburger, you need to maintain an entry in the message splitter which will enable to use split 997 adapter.
If you create party in XI, make sure to represent that party in ERP as either vendor or customer rather than logical system. This will give you more clarity.

BB Link not finding Outlook data for Sync

On my old computer the Contacts/Calendar sync between Outlook and the BB Q5 worked very well via BB Link.
On the new computer when I try to configure the Contacts/Calendar in BB Link the only account offerred is "Windows Contacts". There is no reference to Outlook, even though it is installed and working.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling BB Link on the new computer, and rebooting. I have clicked "Remove Device" on BB Link on the old computer.
The Outlook *.pst file is located in the same directory on the new computer as it is on the old computer.
How can I get BB Link on the new computer to find Outlook so I can configure it?

Just wanted to give an update. After a completely unsuccessful attempt with Creative's customer service telephone help, I decided to completely uninstall the software and reinstall it. I carefully double checked the options when reinstalling and noticed mine defaulted to Outlook Express, which I have on my machine but don't use. I changed the default to Outlook and made sure all the proper boxes were marked and it does work now. That would be my recommendation to the others for whom it is not working. Beyond that, you could have other issues.

Schema name not present on filename for "Save Package Spec and Body"

In versions previous to 3.0 EA, the filename defaulted to schema.object.sql when using the "Save Package Spec and Body" on the right click of the package/body. This appears to have disappeared. Also, it now defaults to the .PLS ext/type, which I prefer to save them as .SQL (which i can override, but it would be nice in the file type dropdown). Also, I had posted a suggestion about the actual file not including the schema name prefixing the object name when using the "Save Package Spec and Body". i.e. it does create or replace package reader_package instead of what it should be doing which is create or replace package schema.reader_package

Would be nice indeed having the real name as default, and all supported PL/SQL types (as in the preferences) in the extensions dropdown.
As for the schema name inside, I reckon that would do damage for more users than it would do good for others. But a preference would be best of course.

Source is not a permitted variable data objects

Hi SCN,
So we transported queries. Collected in manually and gouped by necessary objects. We're having a problem with our variables that holds a replacement path setting for clearing date, net due date and posting date.
Replacement path for key using 0DPM_AV1.
When we're trying to run the queries in QAS this is the error we're getting: 'Source is not a permitted variable for (infoobject date)."
Are we missing a step on how are we collecting our queries for transport. Any suggestion so we can overcome this problem?

Assumed as query/target related info objects transport to qua without any issues.
Even at Qua, target level, try to see the loaded requests, Whether they have reporting symbol or not.
Can you try to run your query at dev system and check it.
if there is no error from dev then again collect your query into transport from RSA1-->transport connection.
Use grouping option as only necessary.
Once you drag query from middle pane to right pane at RSA1-->transport connection, Expand the query which you collected into right pane.
Below you may see all related objects of your query like CKF,RKF,Variables..etc.
Select them all and collect into transport.
Release and import Qua system.
Later try to run query at Qua and see the results.

Hi!
Don't use ASMLib, it will be no longer available, it will only came in Oracle Unbreackeable Kernel for Linux 6.
I'm highly recomend you to use a newr version of Linux such as 5.5 or above.
The easly way to set the permissions on your devices is with a /etc/init.d script that do the job.
Here is an example:

Hi,
cluster ID is just combination of below parameters:
In our case, my source system (ABC) was refreshed from another system (XYZ) recently
so while installing target system ( DEF), I changed the source system details from ABC to XYZ in below file and retried the
SAPinst screen. System copy has got completed successfully.
Open the file <installation directory>/jmt/cluster_id_switch.properties and edit the line
src.ci.sid=
src.ci.instance.number=
src.ci.instance.name=
src.ci.host=
If in your case source system is not refreshed recently; You may try with functional host name or OS host name etc. details for above parameters.
If this does not work check details of "SAP Note 966752 - Java system copy problems with the Java
Migration Toolkit" which says almost the same thing but I could not get that as the statements related to
box number are bit confusing and contradictory.

Linked Server [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified

Hi I have SQL2012 installed on my local machine and have also installed MySQL 5.6.23 installed with a test database.
I also have my SQL connector installed and MYSQL ODBC Driver 3.51.
Which happily connects to the Mysqldb.
The Datasource Name : mySQL conn
TCP/IP Server : localhost and Port :3306
User root
with pwd
On the SQL side I have used the following

However when I try to selet using open query

Cannot initialize the data source object of OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "MYSQLSRV".
I cant understand what I have done wrong . Any help in this would be great as Ive hit a bit of a brick wall

In addition to other post, please also note the following things.
1. If you use the 32-bit driver on a 64-bit machine, please run the 32bit version of "odbcad32.exe" by running "c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe"
from Start/Run menu and
create your ODBC DSN. However, for the 64-bit driver, use c:\windows\system32\odbcad32.exe to create your ODBC DSN. For more details, please review this similar

2. Expand the folder Providers under Linked server directory in SSMS and go to properties of MSDASQL provider and configure it properly as described in this blog:

Approved SHC not appearing in carry out sourcing

HI SRM Gurus,
In SRM Web, after the creation and apporval of shopping cart, the buyer checked the items in carry out sourcing (professional purchaser- Sourcing- carry out sourcing). In find tab, seacrh using extended seacrh and then filling out the shopping cart number. The items should show under requirements, but in our case the system did not behave normally as expected because only one of the three items appeared.
I have checked the items using transaction code: BBP_PD then in the table, the sourcing status is "Y" and not "X". Wherein "X" is the ideal status before doing sourcing.
In our company business process is:
1. create Shopping cart (requisitioner)
2. Approval (approvers)
3. Carry out sourcing (to bid invitation-rfi) (buyer)- were some items in shopping cart did not show
4. Process bid invitation (buyer)
5. Vendor quation (buyer)
6. so forth....
please help. What are the possible causes of this error and solution. Please

Oracle SQL Developer error - "The file-based source procedure Name is not present in the database."

I recently started working on the Oracle SQL developer. I have 'select' privileges on the QA schema and when tried to execute proc in QA. It is giving the error as 'The file-based source <procedure Name> is not present in the database. Was it compiled?'
instead 'you do not have sufficient privileges to execute this procedure'. Did research on internet but with no luck.What configuration changes needed to be done to make it work.Guide me.

Sounds like you do not have the correct privileges. What should have been granted to you by the QA user, or some other user with appropriate privileges, is...
grant EXECUTE on "QA"."<PROCEDURE_OF_INTEREST>" to "<YOUR_USERID>" ;
Note that a grant of execute on a procedure has nothing to do with grants of select on some or all of QA's tables and views.
So, as Vadim suggests, from your connection node in SQL Developer's Connections view, if you expand the Other Users node, then expand QA and look in the Procedures node, do you see the procedure of interest? If not, you cannot expect to be able to execute it from your userid's connection. And even if you do see it, you may have some other privilege that permits viewing but not executing, like...
The role SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
And even if you do not see it there, then having certain other privileges granted to you could permit executing it in general, like...
The role EXECUTE_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
Also, note that the 3.0 release is a bit dated nowadays. Upgrading to 4.0.3 production or even the 4.1 EA2 (early adopter) release will, in general, give you a better experience.

Attachments present in message raw source, but not regular message window

Here's a weird one. People email me attachments (usually a PDF or Word doc). But the attachments are not present in the normal message window. However, if I look at the raw source, the attachment is there. Leopard 10.5.2, Mail 3.2 (919/919.2), IMAP. Why is this happening?

Compiling a vi with link to an external non NI dll = error 7 "source does not exist""

I'm trying to compile a vi using Application Builder. The vi contains a number of links to drdaq32.dll (a dll to give access to Picotech�s DrDAQ data aquisitiion unit. This is connected via the parallel port and comes with a BNC connector and a high impedance input suitable for pH probes). Communication with the dll is via code interface nodes).
System:
LabVIEW v. 6i
Windows NT4
DrDAQ and DrDAQ.dll via parallel port (lpt 1) www.picotech.com
Code interface node calls to the dll use a standard (WINAPI) calling convention and �run in UI thread�
When I try to build, I get the error
"Error 7 occured at ......drdaq32.dll - source does not exist"
The source does exist. I hav
e got the same error with the dll in the same directory as my vi and in a sub directory data.
Why does Application builder refuse to see this file ??

I don't believe that this is the case.
Application builder is really very specific about what files are available and in what state. Though it is not really documented anywhere to my knowledge, the proper steps to building an application are as follows:
Before doing this, LabVIEW should be closed, and all other VIs out of memory.
1. Open your top level VI.
2. Click the run button to recompile
3. Choose "Save All" from the file menu
4. Close your top level VI and ensure that all VIs are saved properly.
5. Quit LabVIEW
6. Open LabVIEW - DO NOT open any of your VIs. Open LabVIEW from labview.exe via the start menu or other shortcut!
7. Open a new VI.
8. Open the application builder (tip, I went into the projects folder and
pulled a shortcut of the app builder out and onto my start menu, this opens the app builder fresh after LabVIEW has been exited.
9. Proceed with your build as normal.
The problem is that LabVIEW retains VIs in memory, even after they are all closed. If there is anything incomplete about these VIs, this will affect the build process. Unsaved VIs do not show up as being valid files (or something like that) to the app builder, thus if you didn't save even one single VI and try to build the application, you will get an error 7.
Step 1 is specific to your case, as recompiling ensures that all external connections are properly made.
