Carrying case for 6300

Has anyone found a suitable carrying case for the 6300? All the cases I have looked are not thin enough, resulting in the phone moving around within the case. Suggestions please!

I ordered one of these...

No idea if it's really genuine Nokia, as ebay sellers have twisted the meaning of "OEM" these days. But it does look nice. I should receive it next week or so. Kinda wish it had a clip, but it's the nicest solution I've seen so far.

  • Carrying case for my laptop and MOTU Traveler?

I bought my MOTU Traveler for the portability. Does anyone know of a good, protective carrying case for my MacBook Pro and my MOTU?

I have the same gear. I just use the Incase neoprene zipbags. (from the apple store, about $30 each.) I got the 17" laptop case to fit my MOTU Traveler. Works great for me.

  • Need carrying case for MUV

I'm looking for a carrying case for my MUVO^2. I'd like to be able to secure it at my waist for running and working out. The only case that I've seen is one made by Case Logic (not specific for MUVO^2) that straps to your arm. Has anyone found a good case that might even allow you to access the buttons without removing the player from the case entirely?
    Thanks.

  • Carrying case for a ZEN XTRA 30

I was wondering if anyone knew of a carrying case for a zen xtra that you can run with. I have an old CD player carrier that doesnt work too well, as it allows the player to bounce around and actually stop playing. I went to circuit city and I couldn't find anything.
Just curious if anyone has seen any different carrying cases for the ZEN XTRA.
    Garrett

One user test I performed with my Zen Xtra was a 5km jog. I had serious doubts about the belt clip but decided to give it a try. 5kms later my Xtra was still firmly clipped to my belt. There had been no skipping or disk troubles with the player during the jog. The problem came when I got into my car 5 minutes after the jog. SNAP! No more belt clip.
Later, I found a small, inexpensi've leather pouch for electronic gadgetry, and discovered it had a leather-clad STEEL belt clip on a pivoting ri'vet mount. At home I cut the clip loose from the pouch, trimmed the leather to fit the back of the Xtra case, removed the single ri'vet on the back of the Xtra case as well as the leather boss that holds the plastic clip in place, and sewed the new clip into position. The new clip is far stronger and holds far more tightly than the original clip ever could. My first user test confirmed that the HDD in the Xtra is rugged enough to stand jogging; the new clip holds the player even more tightly to the wearer's body, and also allows the player to sit horizontally on the wearer's hip, which protects the clip from trauma caused by frequent bending or leg movement. To make a long story short, I use the provided case, modified, and find it sufficient for regular high-impact exercise motions.
Were I to look at this problem more seriously, I would suggest two things: First, the protection of the player demands that it be firmly strapped to the wearer's body; Secondly, the chief cause of trauma to the player is coming from the feet, so, the further from the feet the better. I believe the optimal position is the upper back, so IDEALLY you are looking at a pouch or bag that straps firmly, immobilizing the player, against the upper back of the wearer. If such a pack exists, it would be a specialist jogger/runner/triathlete bit of goods, and thus specialist stores of this nature would be the best places to look.
I have a second piece of improvised equipment which might do the trick. I use an old-issue USArmy Pistol Belt with an old-issue Small Arms Ammo Pouch. The ammo pouch holds the player in its case quite snugly, and the pistol belt can be worn against the skin (it's cotton!). The pouch can be located at any point on the belt, including the rear, thus leaving no obstacles in the path of swinging arms. You will find this equipment at any army-surplus retailer.

  • Carry Case for 80G iPod Video

I've looked everywhere for a carry case for my iPod 80g video but can't find anything to suit. I mostly use it in the car, shut away in the glove box, and wanted something that allows me to plug in the stereo lead with the iPod still in case. I was hoping to get something with room to store the headphones and a extra lead etc.
    Any suggestions?

Van hello. You should never keep your iPod in your glove compartment as one day you'll find that it will stop working because of excess heat, cold or humidity. Try to take it with you (if possible). There is a good carrying case at the following link: http://www.thegadgetlocker.com/productinfo.php/cPath/218_170_176/productsid/2856

  • Carry cases for the 11" MacBook Air and new 12" MacBook IN-STORE

i came in-store today to look at the new MacBooks (which the store did not have) so I started to ask questions about what accessories the store was going to be stocking for it.  They didn't have any of the new USB-C accessories either and when I asked about cases, the employee became noticeably uncomfortable. Come to find out, it's because the stores don't really carry ANY cases for the smaller MacBooks in-store except a Thule bumper case. The employee began showing me Surface and Chromebook cases and a lot of them didn't look all that great. Interesting enough, I jumped online tonight, navigated over to BestBuy.com > Computers > Laptops > All Laptops and sorted them by "Best Selling."  The 11.6" MacBook Air came up within the top 45 results and the other 11.6" MacBook model, the top 60 results. So you have two 11" Apple MacBook Pros that, by your own admission, BOTH rank within the top 60 in regards to sales and you carry a whopping 1 case that is actually for them. I point that out because while you can use a Surface Case for an Air, most don't have pockets to accommodate a MagSafe adapter, for example, because the charger for the Surface is much smaller.  You're now (with the new MacBooks) adding TWELVE new sub 13-inch laptops to your inventory which would officially mean you have 14 notebooks with a screen smaller than 13" inches, 6 notebooks with a screen 13" inches and 2 notebooks with a 15" screen. 90% of your in-store case inventory are for 13" MacBooks, 9% are for 15" and 1% (being very modest here) are for the 11.6."  Now, I was not a math major, but I was a marketing and management minor and I can tell you that I see a huge problem with this picture that is begging to be solved. This problem only becomes more compounded when you consider that May-September, laptops take center stage in electronics/office stores for sales as students began to shop for laptops for back-to-school.

Here are a few nice-looking 11" and 12" sleeves that I found online that I believe would be an asset to your inventory.  The Decoded MacBook Air Slim Cover - $99.99 MSRPBlack Python MacBook Leather Cover - $149.99 MSRPHampshire Laptop Sleeve - $72 MSRP I saved the best for last:MacBook Laptop SleeveCase - $45 to $75 MSRPThere's a pouch that attaches to the sleeve. At first glance it looks like part of the "case" but it's actually an add-on that converts a basic sleeve into a case with extra room for accessories (see below for sleeve without this pouch).Available trims for this sleeve/case.Sleeve with flap and without the shoulder strap or pouch add-on.

  • Suggested carry case for MB Pro 15"

Just picked up a MB PRo 15" a couple of weeks ago. I am looking for a case that I can carry it in that will protect it. I would also like the case to accommodate my iPad and a couple of Pelican 1010 Micro cases for some of the various network adapters that I need to keep with me. I have found a lot of the "sleeves" that do little more than server as a slip cover. Will need to have room for the chargers for both MB Pro, iPad and iPhone.

I like the bags from WaterField (American-made in SF). Innovative, good looking, and well made bags. I like this sleeve with D-rings and a flap, but they have larger bags too.

Your kit looks like its around 8 lbs of Apple gear before "network adapters". Sounds like you might need wheels.

  • Do carry cases for Macbook Pro 17" exist?

Having purchased two Pro 17" models I wanted carry cases to house/transport them. Apple Store offered 30 choices - chose LeBag Pro 17 as it was on offer. It duly arrives but the Mac doesn't fit. I call customer services who tell me there is a known problem as new MacBook is 10th of an inch bigger than any previous models. I ask if they can swap for another suitable product and they claim they don't stock any - inspite of listing 30 on the site!! I query this and they don't have an answer. So does anyone know of a bag that will carry a 17"model safely?

I’ve been purchasing and reviewing Bags for the MacBook Pro since March and I can attest to the quality, fit and finish of the Italian designs by Tucano. From their plush suede sleeve with display protector, to the “his” or “her” bags for general-purpose carry, these offerings are among the finest bags I’ve seen. In any event, here a few examples for you to see.

  • Making a carrying case for a rMBP 15"

I don't carry my 2013 rMBP 15" very much but it makes sense to have a case capable of effectively protecting it when I do. Most I've seen don't offer a meaningfully snug fit and the rMBP seems to be restrained largely by having other stuff squeezed around it and/or getting grabbed and compressed by a Velcro strap. There isn't that much clearance between the screen's face and the keyboard so restraining it that way doesn't sound like a good idea.
Apple apparently doesn't think so either, since, in the box it's sold in, there's a form-fitting plastic shell that provides impact protection around the edges and allows the Mac to nest fully and snugly into it; i.e., the Mac doesn't stick out above the edges of that plastic shell. The box cover then holds everything  in place. I haven't seen a carrying case that provides that kind of protection.
But you can make one. (Note that the following applies only to the rMBP 15". It's likely that something similar can be done for standard MBP's of varying sizes and the rMBP 13" with a different carrying case, but my only experience is with my own Mac.)
Best Buy is currently selling an Init Laptop Briefcase, Model NT-NB101-13 and their SKU 5102223, which has a compartment into which the 15" rMBP fits rather sloppily, nothing like Apple's form-fitting shell. But, if you pry that shell out of Apple's box (it's attached to the box with double-sided tape on the back of the shell), the shell fits perfectly into the Init case. A Velcro strap then closes over the Mac in the shell and holds it in place without squeezing it. I'm sure that case is available elsewhere but Best Buy is where I got it the last time it was on sale.
I figure if the shell's protection is good enough for Apple, it's good enough for me.

Simple put your Mac into any good notebook bag and don't bang it around. Buy some foam and fit it into the bad.
An even simpler solution is to keep it in one place.
Any carrying case, except perhaps the Pelican, doesn't make the rMBP indestructible, and not banging it around is so obvious it shouldn't even need to be mentioned (except in a world where people drink their coffee and soda over open laptops and then ask what to do when the drink is spilled). But the Apple insert was designed to protect the Mac that arrived in it, so carrying it over into a case it fits tightly in avoids having to find, choose, and fashion foam of the proper density to get adequate protection. It also avoids the expense.
As it happens, I checked out what Apple had for sale for its laptops in the local Apple Store, and while the cases were certainly well made, none offered a snug fit without some kind of restraining strap, and the strap didn't provide restraint in all directions. Your suggestion to add foam would, but I went with a custom fit solution, free from Apple.

  • Carrying Case For iBook?

I realize this is subjective, but I would be interested in hearing some opinions as to which carrying case is best for an iBook G4. Who makes the best ones and where's the best place to buy them? Thanks.

    Hi Thomas,
I would recommend buying a sleeve and a bag. I find that when I'm in a rush I will leave my computer in the sleeve and carry my back around my shoulder because I keep having to get it out. I have one of the bags you can find on the Apple Store site called the STM Medium Curve. I carry my Palm Zire (soon to be TX) and my phone in there with my iPods. I also have cables disks and all that good stuff. I works nicely. The other thing that I have is the Incase Neoprene Sleeve 12". I find that it is great, and it smells fresh!
    I hope that helps,
    Jon
