Case front panel and Audigy 2 questi

Hey guys, this might be a stupid question, and I promise you, I did search the forums for this particular problem but didnt find anything.
I'm building a computer for a friend and the case is a: JPAC 4 Black Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window. In its front panel is a Line out and Mic out. He has bought a regular Audigy 2 card for sound. I tried looking in the manual as to whether or not I should hook up the front panel on the sound card or onto the motherboard. My hunch right now is to hook it up to the mobo.
There's also one thing that stumps me, in the Audigy 2 manual there is a set of pins on the top left side of the card that is completely ignored in the manual. It never explains what it's purpose is. I was thinking that I would hook up the front panel on there instead of on the mobo but now i'm not so sure.
Hey guys, I appreciate any input you have on this subject, I'm sure its a pretty short answer.
To list the specs, its a Asus A8N5 mobo, socket 939 with the aforementioned case. Thanks in advance for any help.
Mark

Ok, what if I have a regular Audigy 2 soundcard, but DO NOT have the J header on my card? Is there any way to still do this? I have searched around these forums, as well as a few other forums as well and have not been able to find the answer for this.
Am I just out of luck, or is there something I can do? I'l try to get a digital pic of by soundcard for reference if needed.
Thanks,
Wolfsblood.

  • Save front panels and print them at once

I have a VI that will be executed multiple times with different data, i want each of this front panels to be printed but it has to be one print instruction. I've tried to make an image of the front panel and append this to an Report, but the image is of a bad quality and the image which was made, contained only the view on screen!

If you want a report that is an image of the display screen one thing you can do is create a VI whose front panel is a clone of the application's front panel. The only code behind this front panels would be property nodes to set the clone's front panel to match changes the user makes in the display during execution (for example, a user can change the color of plots, or the such things). It is vital that the diagram of this VI has at least 1 property node, otherwise it will only update if its window is open.
Now as you main application is running it gathers a collection of all the data that you will want to print. When the user then clicks a print button, or the program exits (however you want the program to work) the code would take each dataset and one at a
time pass it to the clone VI and programatically print its front panel.
However, if all you have is tabular data (i.e. no plots or other graphics) I have found it easier to use the report generator VIs, but it's your call.

  • How do reduce the space between the front panel and the display area

I am trying to reduce the space between the front panel and display area but i am not able to reduce the space

A picture would be very helpful in demonstrating what you are having trouble with.
    Lacking that, I will guess.
    VI Properties >>> Windows Size
lets you define the minimum size of a FP window.
    Well that's my guess!

  • How to pop up another VI front panel and run this in the main VI?

    Hi all,
I want to create a VI, which contain several buttons: like "RUN ANALYSIS 1" and "RUN ANALYSIS 2".
When I click one of them, another front panel of VI jump out and run automatically. When I click on "Finish" button on this VI (the one jump out), this front panel close.
    How to complete it?
    Thanks,

    Hi Osso,
The ability to click on other VIs is also controlled by the Window Appearance. If you follow Dennis' instructions above, but this time change the Window Behavior to modal.  You can find more information about the different selections in the LabVIEW Help: Customize Window Appearance Dialog Box.

  • How do I input data to a table on the front panel and stop the program immediately as button is pressed?

What should I do if I want to display on the front panel in real time the values from Polarizer #, P1, P2 and the last calculated value (P2/P1 * 100) called T% in a table or some graphical representation like that?  What would I have to do?  It could just be Polarizer # and T% if that would be simpler.  I just want to let the user know the values in a list, spreadsheet or table as they go.  One last thing is that I would like to be able to stop the program at any point in time as soon as the stop button is pressed.  As of now, when the button is pressed it goes through the iteration currently in progress and then one afterwards.  I want the program to end as soon as the stop button is pressed no matter what sequence it is.  What can I do to achieve this?  Could you give me an example or modify my program to show me this.

Put a single frame sequence structure around your stop button and then wire from the error cluster going into the error handler to the edge of the sequence structure. Now your code will stop at the end of the current iteration. To see why this works, watch you code execute with execution highlighting turned on and review the section of the manual talking about "Dataflow".

  • LabVIEW Remote Front Panels and WebCT or Blackboard Integration

    Hi,
Has any one had any experience with getting LabVIEW Remote Front Panels working with WebCT or Blackboard E-learing software?
Generating the Remote Front Panel is easy enough, it's incorporating the Remote Front Panel into WebCT or Blackboard that am interested in?

    Hi,
Are you using FieldPoint 6.0.2?  We have a Corrective Action Report (#125870) for the remote front panels for the cFP-2220 with LabVIEW 8.6 and FieldPoint 6.0.2.  R&D is currently working on a fix, until then, the only known workaround is to using LabVIEW 8.5.1.

  • Gap between plastic front panel and metal band

hello, i have noticed a gap between the front plastic and the metal band when taking the iphone off a case. theres a 1mm gap between the plastic and metal, and 3 small cracks along the edge of the plastic, 2 at the top and 1 at the right side. the gap is at the top of the phone from the power button to the edge. the front glass doesnt fit perfectly anymore because the top end of the plastic is raised whilst the rest is flat.
how do i get it repaired?
    thx

This damage is to the front screen assembly. This is handled at Apple Store with perfect Replacement iPhone 4 exactly like yours for $149. Maybe much care, skill and very small, less than drop of super glue, will correct this.

    Hi,
You're right. This is an otion in the development environment.Go to Operate>>Make Current Values Default. That will make all the values of your front panel controls the default values.
You can also individually set each control default value by right clicking>>Data Operations>>Make Current Value Default.
I also suggest having a look at all these articles/KBs:

  • Front Panel on Audigy 2 ZS Plati

    Hi.
I have a SBAudigy 2 ZS Platinum, and just a few days ago, my front panel stopped working. I made no hardware changes or driver changes, it just stopped working. None of the inputs work, the optical lights arent on, the remote won't work. In the mixer, all the entries for the front panel inputs are absent, and the only ones that are there are the ones for the card inputs and system sound settings. Is the IDE Cable bad? Any help?

Yes, I've checked and checked and checked. The firewire isnt neccessary, so it is only 2 cables to check. I even flipped the ribbon cable around (card to platinum dri've, vice versa) and even used another 4pin mini power connector that was connected to my floppy dri've. I just gave up last night and almost ripped out the unit to return, but I was getting sleeping. Well, tonight when I got back to my system, rebooted b/c I needed to swap out a hard dri've, the sound came BACK. WFT?
Anybody else get same problems with their platinum dri've?

I refer to insert it into excel since report is in excel format, but if it's too hard to do so I can save it in another format.
Either way, will labview support this? Anyway, thank you very much for your quick reply.

You are already using the Report Generation Toolkit?  There is the "Append Control Image to Report.vi" that would make this easy.

  • How do I automatically make new front panels and block diagrams a certain size and screen position, like able to fit on a 1024 x 768 screen?

I'm studying for the CLD and I notice that one of the requirements is this:
Develop block diagrams to fit a screen resolution of 1024 x 768.
When I create a new VI, its resolution is slightly too big: 1110 x 768.
When I create a subVI via the menu item Edit >> Create SubVI, it is way too small: 800 x 543.
For both methods of creating new VIs, I would like to specify both the screen position and window size. But if that is not possible in LabVIEW, I'd like a quick way to make this happen. I see some property nodes for VIs where I could write a subVI that could do this for the front panel, but that is awkward. And it does not apply to block diagrams.
Is there a clever way to do these things?

It doesn't mean the default size of the window. It means once your code is complete, your block diagram should be small enough that you can see all your code when its on a monitor of that resolution. Before you test, set your computer monitor resolution to 1024x768. Write your code. If all the code on your block diagram can be seen without scrolling, you will be fine. They won't measure this explicitly. They are basically just saying "you shouldn't have a huge block diagram."

Well I put the cord as pictured and even stays on without turning off ... maybe the problem is on the front panel ... because hd led lights on the motherboard are not lit, and remains in phase 1 ... as in the picture
That has nothing to do with front panel connections nor HDD LED. There is no HDD LED on the MB as far as I know, at least there is not after looking through the manual. Does the front panel HDD LED light up?
Do a better job of explaining exactly what your problems are.
