Case Recommendation

Can anyone recommend a protective case for the 13inch macbook? The tucano sleeve seems to only protect it from scratches but is there anything out there that would protect it from light bumps and such. I don't want to buy a laptop bag--I want to be able to carry my macbook in a backpack or tote bag, but I wanted to make sure it is protected.

If you're feeling crafty, you could easily sew one yourself using an old T-Shirt. There was an article in the most recent MAKE: magazine with instructions on how to turn an old T-shirt into a very functional laptop case. You're probably looking for a "Sleeve" of sorts.
If you're not up for that, then something like the MacBook sleeve found here http://www.mac-case.com/MacCase%20Sleeves.htm
Might be helpful.

  • Case recommendations for Mbp 13"?

I am loving my new MBP 13" and I am totally lost on what type of case to protect it to buy! I have read pros and cons about the hard icase as well as the satin case! I really want something that isn't as bulky but I don't want my mBp to get damaged either! Do these cases really protect it or is it more of a fashion statement? What is the actual necessity of having one?

I have a Speck Hardshell case (in clear). In my opinion, it adds no bulk and minimal weight (by like, maybe a few ounces). It's protected my computer from scratches, and I love it. It's a nice way to keep the unibody pristine while still showing off the aluminum or having a different color (I almost went with blue). I also have the Paul Frank monkey 13 inch sleeve for my MBP. With the Speck case on, it still fits in the sleeve perfectly and it's great for traveling and extra protection in my bookbag from spills, dirt, etc.
Edit: I also have the Moxi palmguard/trackpad cover to prevent it from getting dirty/worn down. It works wonderful and, despite the reviews, the trackpad still responds the same with the tap-click/regular click/gestures with no extra effort for me. I recommend getting the iKlear cleaning solution to clean your MPB as well for regular use as well as putting on the case (trapped dirt can scratch the MPB), and the iKlear works wonders cleaning the body, screen, and other electronics.

  • Case Recommendations for iPad 2

I just received my iPad 2, and I'm trying to decide which case to get that will work along with the Smart Cover. I'm trying to decide between these cases:
    1. X Gear Smart Cover Enhancer
    2. AviiQ Smart Case
    3. Enki Genius Case
Is anyone using any of these cases? All suggestions, recommendations and advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I did A TON of reasearch and I've narrowed down this choice to two options that work perfectly for home, travel and professional use.  I rotate between the two.
    (1) Smart Cover Set Up:  II love my smart cover, but I only had to see a friend drop his iPad once to know the back needed protection.  I didn't want to loose the slim esthetics of the device, so this thin, clear back cover has been perfect.  I've had at least 5 friends buy the same one.

    (2) CrownCase Black Leather:  It is really faux leather, but it works for me.  It is the highest rated case on Amazon and it's as good as advertised.  This case fits perfectly, allows access to all controls, and doesn't impete the speaker.  Love it!

  • Flip case recommendations for 5S?

    Hi all,
We are in the process of getting a couple of iPhone 5s' and am looking for some recommendations for flip style cases. Any favorites out there?
    Thanks,
    Ed

I have both iphones and the biggest problem I had with the older one and now the new one is the cases. There are too many bulky cases that defeat the purpose of having a smart phone. The best hard case I found after buying seven of them is the Agent18 Shield. I have had it for all my ipods and have yet to get a scratch on my phone or ipod when dropped. The best part is it does not fall apart when you do drop it like many other bulky cases. The bad part about the Agent18 Shield is that there is no clip or holster for it to snap into it. You will have to carry it in your pocket. It is pretty slim though and less bulkier.

  • Case Recommendations For 30G Video Ipod

I will b e getting the above Ipod within a couple of weeks. Should I just get a v-sheild or just a case or both. Also, could you recommend a case. Thanks so much.

I really like the hard plastic, transparent case
SeeThru Hard Case for iPod Video 30GB, 3 Pack
    Manufacturer: Speck Products
    Mfg Part #: IV30-3PK-SEE
Available from CompUSA and a bunch of others. $30 for a three pack in three colors (clear, smoke grey, and red).
Easy on the pocket, can see video through screen, prevents scratches, etc. One trick, though. A standard 1/8" mini stereo plug won't fit through the case. Shave a little off your soft plastic mini-plugs with a craft knife and it works like a charm.

  • Looking for case recommendations, Touch 4G.

I'm looking for recommendations for a case for a Touch 4G. Both a hard case and a belt case ( not a clip on but with a belt loop ).

I bought a speck for my ipod touch 1g when i got it, loved it so much i got a speck candyshell for my ipod touch 4g and my iphone 4S. Love the rubber on the inside. A lot of people complain that with the ipod candyshell that little piece of the case breaks off at the bottom but i have had mine for a long time and it is not even loose. As long as you don't pull on it of course. I got both of mine off amazon they are not that expensive especially when considering what you get.

  • 3G Case recommendation

Hi, can I get a recommendation for a protective case for my 3G iPhone? I want one primarily that is minimalist in design. That is, not cumbersome a bulky. As streamlined as possible preserving the natural beauty of this hardware. The second attribute would be protection. Not something that just looks good but offers no protection.
price, color, etc are all relatively non-important. THANKS!!!
    JB

Vaja cases are nice/elegant/professional; however, they add more width and depth to your phone...so if you're planning to place it in your pocket...it's a no-go. Also, if you get the one that doesn't have a flip cover, then you're asking for an oily leathered phone case...you just can't avoid it. Plus, Vaja takes at least 4 weeks to ship your product as it is handcrafted, so if you need something now...just go to your local Apple store as they have the best selection. I had a Vaja case for my first gen iPhone so I know from experience...loved the leather and the quality, but the phone becomes too bulky once the case is on...so it all boils down to preference. For my iPhone 3G, I just bought the Incase (black) rubber cover. Pretty slim and fits really well. It's easier to hold my phone now, ah! Oh, and I have no trouble sliding it in my pants, seriously. Hope this helps.

  • Looking for a case recommendation - special requirements

I just moved up to an i4 from an i3G, and I'm looking for a decent case to protect the entire phone. I really need something for a rugged environment, and it has to have a belt clip. I have a very active job so this isn't going to be a pocket phone or sitting in the center console of a Rolls Royce. I have a Speck Tough Case on my 3G, and besides the extreme shock protection, it completely covers everything on the face except for the display. Spec makes a "Tough Skin" for the i4 but it doesn't cover the upper area of the faceplate like their Tough Case did for the 3G.
    Any recommendations?

You should take a look at Fatpaint (http://fatpaint.com) - Free online graphic design and photo editing application, specialised in giving you the tools you need for creating designs and illustrations for iphone cases, ipad cases. The bcase brand is Speck, and is of great quality.
It is possible to paint, draw make pages and see your pictures on products and buy them, such as: iPhone case, iPad cases, t-shirts, sneakers and much more. Checkout the tutorial videos, it is quite interesting ...

  • Need leather case recommendation for 1st gen Nano

    Hi all,
I am looking for a recommendation of a leather flip type case for my Nano. I have one for my 5G iPod but am having difficulty locating one for the Nano.
    Thanks for any info.
    Ed

    Hi,
Try Target. I just bought an incase wallet type case for my nano and one for my mom's video. Both were clearanced 1/2 price. Nothing fancy, but nice.

  • Need Charging Case Recommendation

I will be heading to NYC in late April for the NFL Draft and I am going to need a case for my Verizon iPhone5 that charges the phone at the same time. I will be standing in line for most of the night before the draft and then I want to make sure my phone doesn't die while I am walking around NYC with my friends prior to the draft.
So my question is, #1) are there any charging cases for iPhone 5 and #2) which is the best/Which would you recommend?

Mophie just announced a couple of models - they have a good reputation
I have something called an iContact which you can find on Amazon - has the largest battery ive seen (2500 mah)
also the company is incredible about customer service - my 1st one didnt work so they sent me another - after a couple of weeks there were problems with the 2nd one so they replaced it (and didnt require me to send the defective case abck) - and gave me a $10 credit - they also responded to emails at night and on weekends
the one i have now is workking perfectly
Also if you search iphone 5 battery cases on Amazon you will find a bunch

  • IPod Touch TPU case recommendations?

Note: this is not a duplicate question. In my last one I asked for more general recommendations, in this one I am asking about a specific type.
Can anyone recommend an iPod Touch 5th Gen TPU case? I'm looking for one like here -> http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B009A544LC/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&psc=1&s=electron ics
but it has to be amazon USA.
    I have seen this site -> http://jeffnitschke.com/wordpress/2012/10/5th-generation-ipod-touch-cases-access ories/#.ULgP_KVFo8F
and while it has some good stuff, its not quite what I'm looking for (I want a clear TPU case but with no argyle design. Nothing or circles would be ok)
    Thanks!

I found one, but I will not be purchasing it because my parents bought me a Speck Candshell (black) for my iPod. The Candyshell is also a very good, quality case. Its protective yet slim and looks good with the Product (Red) version of my iPod.

  • IPad 2 case recommendations

I'm looking for a lightweight case that will protect the iPad while being carried every day in a messenger-style shoulder bag (I bike to work), that folds completely back and is comfortable while holding the iPad with one hand and that also functions as a stand. Any recommendations? Thanks.

    http://www.boxwave.com/products/smartcase/apple-ipad-2-smart-case-nero-leather_4 284.htm
This case is like the original Apple ipad 1 case. It covers the back too. But it comes in leather only. Its only available for pre-order and ships on April 22 if you are patient enough to wait.

  • Case Recommendation: Marware EcoView, Empire, or InCase Convertible?

    Hi all,
Planning on getting an iPad, but before I do I want to have a case along with screen protector. I just wanted to get your thoughts on the cases that have a portfolio design such as the following:
    - Marware EcoView
    - Empire Leather Case
    - InCase Convertible case
I'm open to any other recommendations or suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Ed

I bought the Sena Leather Case and I love it.
    Solid, Quality!
Only problem is when you fold the cover all the way back, the leather strap that clips it closed gets inteh way a bit, but ok.
    This case will last.
The iPad fits well, access to all ports and buttons.
easy to charge while in the case.

  • Case recommendations?

I own an iPhone 5s and I am currently using a Speck Candyshell+Faceplate. I'm not really loving the faceplate part - it's kind of ugly, it peels and bubbles and it's hard to use control center and the touch id is also hard to get to. How protective is the normal candyshell? And are there more protective normal cases (no faceplate or built in screen protector) that I can just use a screen protector with? Or is the candy shell my best bet? Thanks!

Another great case that is pretty nice is the tech 21 cases. They offer great protection and you can access your home screen with ease. My dad has the tech 21 case and loves it. My Aunty got it too and she has had the same case on the iPhone 5 for 6 months and there hasn't been any signs of wear or tear. Highly recommend the case. The good thing is they have a bumper style, snap on style, and a hard case style too.

    Hope this helps.

  • Nano Speakers and Cases - recommendations ?

I'm getting both my children Ipod Nano's for Christmas and having read the numerous thread's relating to the issues with scratching I'm looking for recommendations about which case would provide the best protection (unit and screen).
Can anyone recommend specific cases ?
We've already got Altec Lansing IM3 speakers - will the Nano work with them (They came with adaptor bits for various flavours of Ipod but that was pre Nano)?
If not any recommendations about Nano speakers would be appreciated.
    Cheers

    welcome
it would be best if you do a search in forum for case and speakers
there are many threads here on both topics and you can go thru the various threads to get some good information
