Case that works with smart cover on?

Has anyone seen any shells or cases that work with the smart cover on? I have only come across one.
Thanks

SF Bags, aka Waterfield Designs, has several designs made to fit the iPad 2 with the Smart Cover. I, too, have the original Ultimate Exo Sleevecase, but it is a bit large for the iPad 2. They recommend buying the "non-Exo" Ultimate case for the IPad 2.
One case that I particularly like is the SmartCase, and they make a model that fits with iPad 2 with the Smart Cover; it has a pouch on the back for earphones, etc.. I have a similar one for my iPhone and it is very well-made and offers a lot of protection.
They have seven different iPad cases and several are designed specifically for the iPad 2 with the SmartCover.
If you have any questions, you can write them, and they answer them promptly.

    Many Thanks

This case meets all my requirements, however I am not sure that anyone makes one that will work with the dock, except an amoured film shield.

  • ICal alerts don't work with smart cover closed?

Is this by design?  If I have an event set for an alarm in ical, then i have my smart cover closed to cover the iPad...the alarm won't go off until I lift the smart cover.  It could be an hour or so past the event, but I won't know that until I open the cover.  This basically eliminates the use of using iCal alert system.
Am I missing something?  Would love for the alarm to go off to remind me of meetings etc regardless if the smart cover is closed or not.
    Thanks for any advice.

Alarms beep on my iPad 2 with the cover closed.  You must not have it set up correctly.  Is Calendar included in your Notification Center alerts?  Mine is set for Alerts, Badge App Icon ON, and View in Lock Screen ON.

  • A case that works with Vision M play

I am going to buy a Zen Vision M (can't wait!!!!) this month. I was browsing the selection of players at Wal-Mart and came across this mp3 player case. It was about 3-5 bucks (bought it before Christmas, can't remember the exact price now). A Wal-Mart associate let me try the case out on the display Vision M and it works great!? It's a soft case, has a zipper that goes around three sides of the case. There's a pocket inside the case to store small items and there's a form fitting strap on the back so you can slip it over the back of your hand to carry it with a better grip. The case has some padding to it and the packaging claims it is "weather resistant". Also has?a headphone line out hole in the top of the case so you can thread the headphone wire through it in order to listen to the player while its in the case. The brand is Case Logic. (www.caselogic.com)?Just thought I'd throw that out there for anyone interested.

Im not sure of its size but an altoids case could be feasable.

  • Any cases other than the smart cover? or some that go with it?

    Hey,
Has anyone had any luck with affordable cases that work WITH the smart cover? I am mainly talking about cases or covers for the back of the iPad that work with the fancy smart covers.
I will bet a pretty penny a bunch of case designers will make back covers to go with the smart covers.
Has anybody found any other cases in general?
The smart cover scratching the iPad is pretty bothersome. Not sure if I want to get one anymore...

I'm guessing the only way to get around this issue were if someone was to manufacture those clear films (ie like the screen protectors)for the back/side of the iPad 2. I'm guessing it would have little adverse effect on the magnets efficiency and you could replace them however often required? Its certainly something I would look into.

  • Best case compatible with smart cover?

Best case for iPad 2 compatible with smart cover?

There are a lot of options, depending on your needs and aesthetics, and some users just use a skin on the back. Do you want a case or a cover?
I like using the iPad with just the Smart Cover, but I needed something for the back to make the iPad less slithery for teaching, so I just got this Cover Buddy back cover, which I love:
    http://www.switcheasy.com/products/CoverBuddy/
It is rubberized like the front cover, comes in compatible colors (mine is blue), weighs almost nothing, has well-designed dugouts for all the openings, and is easy to put on and remove. There is also a clear option.
For field work or traveling, I have a neoprene case from Built NY which has a rigid interlinear to protect the back and sides. My iPad, with or without Smart Cover or back cover, just slips into this case.

  • Acrobat 9 does not recognize the smart card reader that work with other app. Can someone help me?

    Hi to All,
Acrobat 9 (included in CS4 design premium) does not recognize the smart card reader. I have a smart card reader ACR38 smart card that works with all applications except Acrobat 9 pro. I tried to uninstall and reinstall it again, but when I try to insert the digital signature message is always the same, that does not find the Acrobat reader. Can someone help me?

    Hi MartinR
Thank you for your reply, i have tried what you suggest, and it did not work, the i DVD opening title changed but not the embedded movie.
Perhaps it is a setting in Final Cut Express?
After capturing my footage, i open a new project then i convert all clips to anamorphic, to give me the letterbox effect, i have tried now with and without anamorphic.
In my canvas screen, the footage does not fill the square, even if i have not selected anamorphic, and fall well within the TV safe areas, but the only way to ill the canvas up is to crop it bigger, but still when i export it does not give me the full screen view.
    Any ideas?

  • Docking Speakers that Work with Hard Case

Hey there. I am going to get an iPod Video and I am going to be getting a hard case for it and because of previous iPod experiences, I do not want to take my iPod out of it ever again. Thus, as I look for docking speakers, one of my main concerns is that I can dock the iPod whilst the case is still on. Are there any good docking speakers that work with the Contour iSee hard case?

    Hey!
By appearances it looks much like the Agent 18 case I use.Although I can't see the Dock access on the one you are looking at but they say "easy access to ports".If that's the case, you should be able to use the Bose Sounddock.I do and never take my Pod out.Just can't use the insert(not a major problem)for a snug fit.I can use all the ususal dock connectors too. Also, when you get your 5th Gn,leave the plastic film on the front. Also protects your clickwheel, and from scratches off the case itself. It does happen....
    Cheers,

  • Car charger that works with the bumper case?

Does anyone know which, if any, brands of car chargers and models that work with the new bumper case? I went to best buy yesterday and they all looked too thick to even buy it and give it a try.

I'm pretty sure the lack of functionality with car chargers and the bumper case is simply because the cutouts for the USB connector on the bumper is too small..that's the only reason. Otherwise it will work; it's simply a physical problem with the connector not seating properly; that's it.
I'm saying this based on my own situation. I have a Griffin car charger /FM receiver that worked with my iPhone 3G and it worked with my iPhone 4 until I put the bumper case on.
The situation is the same situation as to why the Apple supplied USB cable that shipped with the 3G does not work with the iPhone 4 w/bumper. Apple redesigned the size of the USB connector and sized the cutout on the bumper for their new smaller size making the bumper not backwards compatible with existing devices with the older size USB connectors. The size differential is not that big but it's big enough to cause problems.

  • A UPS model that works with Mac Native software to do a graceful shutdown and automatic restart during a power failure.

I've tried 3 UPS's (2 APC and one TripLite) that state they are OSX compatible, however, they do not fully respond to the native osx setting in (system Preferences/ Energy Saver/ UPS/Start up automatically after a power failure). This is what happens:
During a power outage, the OS does a graceful shutdown, but does not reboot when power is restored.
Apparently, the UPS is not notified to turn off during the shut down process. The power (on-Off-On) cycle is required by the mac to restart.
Trip lite tech support says they have software that works with Windows and linux to do this, but not mac.
I've tried two older APC UPS's, One Smart UPS1500 and a Back-UPS 1500 with the same result on two different servers and one iMac.
At this point I'm looking for a make and model of a UPS that does work. If anyone can verify a make and model that actually does this, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Its a simple test, just pull the plug on your UPS, wait for the system to shut down, and then plug the UPS back in. The system should reboot.

Many of the CyberPower UPS units are compatible. Checkout the home solutions on this page: http://www.cyberpowersystems.com/products/ups-systems.html

  • I need a keyring (that works with network-manager)

    Hi there,
I'm new to Arch linux (coming from Ubuntu) and I'm wondering how to set up a keyring that works with that gnome-network-manager applet and ssh(fs). I previously used GNOME and the gnome keyring, and all out of the box.
I couldn't find any manuals on how to set up the gnome-keyring in Arch linux, neither regarding ssh(fs) nor network-manager. I read people are complaining about network-manager asking for the keyring-unlocking-password, but this doesn't happen for me.
How do I set up the gnome-keyring propertly?

    From this bug page:
The /etc/wicd/wireless-settings.conf file is made root-readable only. This means that any malicious users must have root access or physical access to the machine. In either of these cases, you have far more problems than worrying about the wireless network key.
Please see http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/PlainTextPasswords for a very good explanation as to why the passwords are not encrypted.
It may be plain text, but only root can read/write.

I have an older HP5550C flatbed scanner that works with 10.5 and 10.6 but not on my new iMac running 10.7. Surely there is software that will allow older scanners to work on OS10.7. My MacBook Pro runs 10.6 and the

Although the HP Scanjet shows up in the system profile for the computer it is generic and is not configured (as in screen shot).  It also does not show up in the ;ist of pritnters, scanner when I open Image Capture.  I can't load the software that came with the printer because it is out of date so that would make it impossible to configure the scanner on the new iMac. see below:  Too bad there isn't some generic profile I could load that would cover the 5550c. I have a new all in one printer-fax-scanner but the old one can scann in slides and negatives which I have.

  • Routers that work with iChat AV?

Since Apple's list of approved routers hasn't been updated for years, I would love to hear from anyone who has purchased a router recently that works with iChat for audio/video, including any special setting changes/tips. Could anyone with a success story post here? I'm tired of the error 8 messages which in at least some cases seems to be router related.

    @stevesol
I have used the DI-604 for about 5 years now. It is a great and cheap router/firewall. The only problem that I have ever had was an odd one. I have a mac pro. i have an external amp that I use for playing my music through. I had a cable run from the rear audio out to the amp. After the last firmware update (mac pro EFI firmware update 1.1) I could not use ichat anymore. If I bypassed the router and went straight to the modem then all was fine. It turned out that there was a major conflict with my setup using the router and rear audio out port but if i used the front headphone jack everything was fine. Other than that the DI-604 is very good. I open port 5190 on the router and have good results. If you are not sure how to open up ports then check out this site. It shows to open up a whole pile of ports but the 5190 port works fine for me.
