Cases for creative mp3 play

I was wondering if anyone knew a good website to purchase a case that would fit my Zen touch. I know there is veja products who makes custom cases. Just wondering if there's somewhere that I could find one that is less expensi've. All suggestions appreciated! Thanks!!

I have been "whining" about the lack of support of the Zen Touch since November of last year. Creative really does not give a darn for the Zen Touch users at this point. Look at the items that have been rolled out in support of the Micro (i.e. 8-0 colors of T-shirts, a new case, etc.). I find it ironic that they are throwing all their eggs into one basket when you take a look at the volume of problems with the unit. At my local Best Buy, a Manager told me that the sale to return ratio is almost : and that they are lsoing money on the sales and then the labor involved in the return process. When you look at the iPod and all the different cases and skins offered, it is pretty pathetic when compared to the Zen Touch, even after taking into consideration the huge number of iPods that have been sold. I have never seen such lack of support on a product after the initial sale.

I've bought from them several times for various cell phones and my new Blackberry. They sell them in sets of 3 for about $6.50 for the set. You can also look on ebay for these things.
Good luck and if anybody orders from here, please post so others will know the results.
I'm having trouble looking for them on ebay. I don't what to search for. I kept typing in anti-glare protectors for mp3 players, but there no results.

• Older Firmware for Creative MP3 Play

can one of the admins and moderators post where to obtain the older firmwares for their mp3 player lines. I'm one upset customer and the support is non existant to appauling.

When firmwares are updated, all the older versions don't usually stay up on the website. Is there a particular reason you need an older version? What is wrong with the player, and did you contact Customer Support (your post wasn't clear if you were referring to Customer Support or "support" in general).

• Case for Creative Zen Mi

Anyone looking for a case for their Zen Micro? I actually did a bit of searching on the web and found a Canon compact camera with the same dimensions as the Zen Micro. After some further searching I found these cases for it..
http://shop.store.yahoo.com/semsons-inc/cadiix30posd.html
My silver/black case arri'ved today and it fits perfectly. The fastener strap at the top actually goes over the headphone jack, protecting it from knocks (you still have access to the on/off button and usb socket either side of the fastener). It is very sturdy and well made and doesn't actually look like a camera case - it doesn't have Canon, Olympus, etc embossed on it (the metal badge on the front says IXY Digital - which is actually the Japanese model name for the camera). OK you don't have access to the touchpad whilst it is in the case, but if like me you stick it on random play or use long playlists then it isn't a problem. If you don't like this case, try searching for other cases for this type of camera. The site lists the model names for the UK, US and Japanese markets so do a bit of searching and you may find a case you like (I think this site had a couple of other alternati'ves as well). As Creative don't look like they will be bringing a case out in the near future its a good alternati've.

Thanks for posting the information.
Perhaps Vaja will bring out a case if they get badgered enough. It's a real shame Creative didn't bundle a case with the product as it keeps the player looking good, and really adds to its life.

• Which is better? The i-pod or Creatives mp3 playe

I am conducting a survey and I just wanted to know what everyone think. Is the I-pod better than Creatives mp3 players? If it is, why. Also, why is Creative mp3 players better. Thanks for your contribution.

iPods are nice and have a good amount of features. The iTunes online store is fantastic; very easy and nicely priced. You can't fault Apple for what they've been able to do- grab the mindshare for the MP3 market.
However, I have to side with the- SHOCK- WMA side of things.
The problem I wound up having with iTunes is that, if I want to choose a player for my purchased tunes, short of burning/ripping, was to buy an iPod.
However, buying with WMA, you have more choices, and you're not locked in. In fact, when I decided to change MP3 players, I went from a Zen Xtra to a Zen Touch. I really like the Creative brand. The interface is easy, I find, and I don't think Creative Mediasource is the dog that some have made it out to be. I looked at the Samsung YH-925GS, an Ipod (20GB), Zen Micro, and Rio Karma. I kept coming back to the Zen Touch. I think it looks great, handles great, has awesome battery life, is CHEAPER, and is the right size, both physically and with disk space.
So, yes, Creative is better.

• Savings for Creative Mp3 Player

BestBuy is having a 25% off all creative mp3 player sale and I was looking at the Zen Micro Photo. I want an mp3 player that can hold alot of songs that I can run with, but I found out mini-hard dri'ves and regular ones arn't suitable for running...So I am going to stick with a large capacity player with alot of features instead of a flash player but I just can't choose. Plz leave suggestions if you were in my place shopping for an mp3 player.

bosoxxrwd,
If you're planning to do exercise while using a player. I would suggest going after a flash based player like the Zen Nano Plus, Zen Nano and MuVo series instead of microdri've or harddisk based player.

• Use of two Creative MP3-Play

Hello community,
is it possible to use two Creative MP3-Players (Zen touch(20GB) + Zen micro) on one PC? I don't want to upload the same music on both players.
Thanks for your Answers!
P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, I'm from Germany
edit: I want to use the automatic actualisation for the files and this is only possible with the "Creative MediaSource Organizer". Is there the possibility to have different profiles for the two players?Message Edited by GoldenEi on 04-3-2006 02:26 AM

I have a Zen Touch and a Creative Muvo and you can connnect them both at the same time on media source. I have no problems with it. As long as you have the latest version for the micro I can't see a problem.

• Why we love our Creative mp3 play

Alright, we all know that there are problems with various mp3 players....but let show some love for Creative. Post what you love about your Creative mp3 player!

I've had a 5 Gb Zen Micro for about 8 months now. It's my second DAP.
I returned my Sony MiniDisk in frustration after two days. Its software, copying restrictions [it wouldn't let me burn a copy of tracks that my son's band did onto my CD-R] and the incredibly long time it took to transfer tracks was too much for me.
There was a learning curve for the Zen Micro at first. For a week or two I seriously contemplated returning it, too. All the horror stories on the forum of dead players, faulty jacks made me doubt my purchase.
I stuck with it though, and am glad I did.
The key deal-breaker for me on the iPod was the non-replaceable battery.
There's a certain 'holier than thou' attitude that seems to go with the iBorg that always put me off, too.
Great sound: check
FM radio: check
Features galore: check
User-friendly: check
Replaceable battery: check
All in all, it's a superior value for me.Message Edited by skb on 0-0-2005 07:37 PM

• Best speaker system for Creative mp3 players?

Hello Forum
I need to find a decent stereo shelf system, which can boost the sound in my Creative mp3 player.
Any ideas?
Thanks

This depends on how many channels you want, but all of creatives THX models, Logitechs better speakers (Z-5000?), and klpisch's multimedia speakers (Promedia Ultra?), will all give very satisfactory results.
I dont personally feel that digital offers much benafit, unless your keen to connect to a reciever, the decoding on the X-Fi makes hardware decoding set less of a priority, and thus reduces the need for a digital input (which is requred where decoding takes place outside of the sound card).
All of these kinds of speakers are designed for near-field listening, so the distance away from then can be very low, however high volumes can damage your ears over extended periods and this is enhanced the closer you are. Consider symptoms such as regular "ear fatigue" a sign that you are a little too close!

• Are you regretting your creative mp3 playe

hey i read some post on how people were regreting ever buying creative mp3s...and most ppl seem to be considering..ipods... DONT!!!!! bad mistake i have a creative n200 and a ipod shuffle they both have same memory but the ipod is soo hard to use..the battrey reads wrong...files dissapear..only last 4 like 3 hours.. i made the biggest mistake wanting an ipod...and yet my n200 works fine..i've dropped it so many times.. and its been thru heck..
check out www.ipodsdirtysecret.com this is the reason i will never use any thing from apple again.. i trusted them

Once I got the hang of how to work my Zen Micro 5G I loved it, and thought it was the best alternati've to the I-Pod. Then I had problems with the battery--then the firmware--now I can't use it at all.
Big complaints:
) Inadequate hands-on instructions: the fact that the instruction manual is not included but had to be downloaded--and you had to KNOW that it had to be downloaded--from their site. May not seem a big deal but I like good step-by-step instructions and problem solving w/o having to always go online. A manual accompanying the player would have saved me a headache or two.
2) Battery charging: Zen's tech support told me that it was bad to leave the player plugged in to the charger for too long, that it would hurt it. Well, that rings kind of false--my b-friend keeps his I-Pod in his charger all teh time and he's never had a problem with it. Same with our cell phones and cordless phones, and dustbuster and all other products.
3) Key pad too sensiti've--enough said there.

• News on Creative MP3 Play

If your an unhappy customer of particularly, the Zen Micro, and considering, a new player, or wondering to get a Creative MP3 players at all, this will give reason to why you might not want to deal with Creative.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/2005084/...NlYwMlJVRPUCUl

I don't see anything in there that should give someone cause to "avoid Creative".
I don't think that this will be a constructi've topic at all, and will probably just result in bashing, so I'm closing it.
