Cashier Statistics Infocube in POS DM
Hi gurus!
I am currently working with my team with POS DM and have a question related to its integration with BI. I need to know how discounts at line level and units sold are stored in the Cashier Statistics cube (0RPA_C05). Any helpful information on this topic will be greatly thanked for.
Regards!
Hi Tolga,
Hope u have found the solution for that. My doubt is for test processing through WE19 we are using the function module /POSDW/IDOC_INPUT_WPUBON,which posts the IDOC.
Do u have any idea how we do the batch processing of all text files (WPUBON).
Any function module or report which takes the file path and generates the IDOC in POS DM?.
Kindly let me know at the earliest, this is a very urgent requirement.
Thanks in advance.

Ramakrishnan

Problem in Dataload for Statistics Infocube
Hi,
We are installing BI Statistics Infocubes (0TCT_C01) in our BID, BIT & BIP systems respectively and running the Statistics Query (ZTCT_C01_MQ_01) to track the Performance. The Infocubes were successfully loaded with data in BID & BIT systems and we also ran the Query in both the systems. In the middle, We recently refreshed our BI Quality system (BIT system) with a copy of the BI Production system (BIP system). After refreshing, the Infopackages created in BIT system for loading Statistics no longer exists. We created Infopackages again and tried loading the data but the dataload fails giving a Short dump. Please find the short dump below:
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_PARAMETER_INVALID_RANGE', was not
caught in procedure "GET_MD_TIMESTAMP" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the exception would occur, the current program is terminated. The reason for the exception is:
Parameter has invalid value: Parameter SYST_DATE/SYST_TIME has invalid value
00000000/000000.
From the Short dump, it seems the dataload failures is due to the problem in Time stamp & date variation. We checked the system date and time and is showing the correct value only. We are confused on what could be the problem. Is there any specific OSS Note to solve this issue?
Your help is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
MuraliHi Daya,
Thanks for your time.
I tried the step. I gave the Source system name as {"BITCLNT001" & Datasource name as "0TCT_DS01", i am getting a pop-up message "There is no Datasource with these attributes".
The Datasource name is correct only, i am not sure why this pop message is displayed.

Extraction of POS data to BW without using POS DM
Hi there.
Does anyone know a way of extracting POS data from the Triquestra Infinity POS system directly into BW without using POS DM. I'm at a site where they are just using POS as a front-end and transferring most data into SAP ECC but not all data. For the data that's not going into ECC, we want to extract it into BW - mainly around Cashier Statistics. However POS DM won't be configured. I thought we caould send IDocs to BW but then not sure what to do with these IDocs once in BW.
Anyone has any thoughts?
Andrew.Hi,
You can use Xi. Or if there is a relational database system of the POS system, you can use dbconnect or udconnect to connect the POS system. But if you dont use POS DM it will be difficult to map the data. You may be required you create and map infocubes from scratch.

POS system reports daily totals for each store, not for each cashier
Hi!
We are implementing SAP Retail (ERP 6.0 EHP4 stack 3), SAP PI (Netweaver PI 7.1 SP 8) and SAP BW (NetWeaver 7.0 ehp1 stack 4, incl BI content 704, SP 3 ) for a client. Their POS system is a 3rd party system, i.e. not SAP POS.
This issue concerns the fact that the POS system reports daily totals for each store, not for each cashier.
At my client, the daily settlements are done for each cashier. At the end of day, we will get cash drawers counted with sum of each tender (cash and checks) at the end of day. In addition, the POS system will send sum of each tender, sum of all sales and sum of different finance transactions made each day. However, this u201Ctotals messageu201D is not sent separately for each workstation, or for each cashier, but rather for each store. So we only gets the totals per store.
Questions:
i) Are the tasks available for comparing totals to the aggregates for POS transaction able to handle u201Cstore-only figuresu201D?
ii) If not, how can we adapt the tasks so they can handle u201Cstore-only figuresu201D?
iii) Can we trigger outbound tasks sending WPUUMS and WPUTAB using outbound dispatcher automatically, or must we run this as a manual task of an employee, after checking that all stores have delivered their totals?
iv) The u201Cstore-only figuresu201D does not include cashier statistics. Do we need the u201Ccashier statisticsu201D as total figures, or can we just populate the BAPI for each POS transaction with data, in order to populate BW infocubes for cashier statistics?
Thanks for any advice !
Best regards,
Oeystein EmhjellenHi Kees ...
Your profile indicates you are running Leopard v10.5.8
You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard V10.6 in order to use the App Store. This is an "upgrade", not an "update".
Make sure your Mac meets Snow Leopard's requirements here.
You must have the minimum of v10.6.6 installed in order to access the App Store.
You can purchase Snow Leopard here > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store -
IS Retail:Report/Document generation for inbound IDOC for Cashier Statistic
Hi Friends,
I have generated an inbound IDOC for Cashier Statistics with transaction WPUK in IS retail.
The IDOC is generated successfully which I can view in POS interface monitor with transaction WPER.
But i dont see any corresponding report or document generated for this successfully posted IDOC.
Is there a functionality in IS retail to generate report/document for successfully posted IDOC for cashier statistics?
Request you valuable inputs on this please.
Regards,
DebrajHi John,
Thanks for your inputs.
Could you please let me know how do i activate infostructure S122 to see reports related to cashier statistics after successful posting of IDOC?

BW Statistics Load Specified Time
Hi,
I´m trying to load an specified period in a BW statistics InfoCubes. In 0BWTC_C02 infocube i can select "Calday" but in the others InfoCubes i don´t get activate check for Calday selection.
How can i activate "calday" selection for Infocubes: 0BWTC_C03, 0BWTC_C05, 0BWTC_C09, 0BWTC_C11 and 0BWTC_C04?
Sorry for my english, Thanks!!I was looking for the same KFs, but did not find anything meaningful in ST03N as well.
But I would recommend to execute the Web Report (from WAD or from Portal, if you are using Enterprise Portal) and then look at table view RSDDSTAT_OLAP. In this table view, BW Statistic data for each step is saved on event level. So if you execute the Web Report, you will find entries for the step corresponding to displaying the selection screen and for the step of generating the Web Report after the selection screen. The column RUNTIME displays the runtime of each step, which is a good indicator for the average runtime KFs you want to have.
Maybe there are more meaningful KFs in technical BI Content, but I did not find them yet. -
Hi,
I have activated the statistics from the business content, and also initialised the cubes and started the delta for cubes only. Is this enough or should I do something more, because I have not uploaded any text or master data for the statistics characteristics and also not maintained the tab performance of the Cubes. Is it necessary to maintain the performance tab of the cubes and load masterdata and texts.
ThnxAs Roberto and others have mentioned -
You need to load master data and consider all the other InfoCube administration options just as you would any other cube. There's no magic to the BW Statistics InfoCubes. Data is extracted from the RSDDSTAT* tables and loaded to InfoCubes just like any other application.
So you ought to consider compression, data retention, etc, just as you would any other application's data.
One other thing you should consider - if you are loading the statistics cubes, you probably don't need to retain as much data in the RSDDSTAT* tables. From the "BW Statistics for Infoproviders" option, you can click on the trash can and then specify the a date and all the statistics in the RSDDSTAT* tables before that date will be deleted. I would run this off hours and delete data in smaller chunks, e.g. a month, until you see how long
each delete job runs.
Personally, I don't think there is any need to retain more than 3 months data in RSDDSTAT* tables once you have your data in the cubes. I like 3 months because if you use ST03 to access the the data, it only goes that far. -
Issue with BW Statistics - WHM cube
Hi
I am using BW Statistics - WHM ( 0BWTC_C05) Cube for a report and not able to find details for few cubes/ODS , it seems these cubes/ODS have not been activated for Statistics. Can anyone me with this?
Thanks ,
MonikaHi,
what do you mean by
<i>"i am loding STATISTIC cube everyhour"</i>
the data for statistics infocubes arises out of the execution of the processes in WHM.
How are you loading data to the same ?

Hello every one...Please clarify the following.
1) how are the inbound and outbound store integrate in IS retail.?
2) How do we transact data in and out of SAP to POS, what output types do we use here?
3) If an organization has both Wholesale and Retail stores, then how do they communicate between themselves. plz give example if possible...
Thanks in advance.
RaghavHi
u can communicate with POS system through XI middleware
following scenario u can configure
u2022 POS outbound-- data send from SAP to POS
o Merchandise category information
o Article master data
o Control data
o Customer data
o Exchange rates
o Follow-on items
o Set articles
o Bonus buys & coupons
o Promotion discounts
o Assortment lists
u2022 POS inbound-- data send from POS to SAP
o Sales
o Payment lists
o Cashier statistics
o Store physical inventories
o Store orders/returns
o Store replenishments
o Store goods movements
o Bonus buys & coupons
for whole sales you can configure SD cycle like R-3 for retail you use POS interface setting

Transaction document for Idoc type
Hi Experts,
I am seeking little information about below Idoc type from POS to SAP IS Retail,
I would like to know that, what are the transaction documents generated in SAP IS Retail after executing of below inbound idoc type.
For example WPUUMS – It will create billing document for aggregate sales and material document for Goods movement.
Similarly, please help me for below Idoc type.
· WPUBON
· WPUTAB
· WPUBWB
· WPUFIB
· WPUKSRHi Vanrajsinh,
I'd recommend you to go through the help.sap.com POS Inbound Interface for general information;
POS Interface - Inbound @ help.sap.com
and then crawl through related customizing in SPRO: Sales & Distribution > POS Interface > Inbound where you'll find the document types corresponding to individual IDoc types and IMG documentation per activity is also quite 'explicit'.
Not to leave you only with links, more information below but document types generated depend on the above config;
WPUBON - POS interface: Upload sales docs (receipts) non-aggregated;
Usually creates billing document and article document to post sales and goods issue per receipt, billing type and movement types can be defined in SPRO POS as above > Control Sales per receipt
WPUFIB - POS Interface: Upload Financial Accounting Interface SRS/POS
creates only FI posting (accounting documents) for pre-defined POS financial transactions; SPRO POS as above > Transaction Types for Financial Transactions and Trans.Type Cotrol of Fin.Trans.
WPUKSR - POS Upload Cashier Data
Cashier statistics, I've only used it for statistics (RIS, no transaction documents created)
WPUTAB - POS interface: Upload day-end closing POS / Payment List
Creates billing document to post payment per payment type if not already posted via receipts, SPRO POS as above > Payment List Control
WPUUMS - POS interface: Upload sales data (compressed)
as WPUBON but aggregated sales, SPRO POS as above > Aggregated Sales Control
WPUWBW - POS interface: Upload goods movements
Creates article documents to post goods movements
Note that you usually do not use all IDoc types at the same time as this would lead e.g. to posting a single receipt via multiple flows.
Hope this helps!

What T-Codes do Inbound 855 and Inbound 856 EDITransactions trigger?
Hi Folks,
I know inbound 856 is a call transaction method. It triggers VA01 transaction.
Likewise, Are inbound 855, 856 call transaction methods or not?
If yes, what transactions (T-Codes) do they trigger?
What are the process codes (inbound) for 855 and 856 inbound?
Thanks,
CreasyHi
for sending data from SAP to POS u can use WPMA tcode with the help of that Tcode you can send
Merchandise category information
Article master data
Control data
EAN
Bonus buys & coupons
Promotion discounts
Assortment lists
for inbound scenaro -
you can use standrad IDOC
like
WPUBON01 - Sales transactions, receipt-based
WPUUMS01 - Sales transactions, aggregated
WPUTAB01 - Means of payment (Upload day-end closing POS)
WPUKSR01 - Cashier statistics
WPUFIB01 - Financial transactions
WPUWBW01 - Goods movements
and process these IDOC with thep of Tcode BD20 or report RBDAPP01
PS: Reward Point

0BWTC_C02 - Viewing number of query executions and refreshes
Hi,
I having been testing some queries I created for infocube 0BWTC_C02. Is there any way to limit the key figure 0TCTNAVCTR to only show navigations that were query refreshes (e.g. ignoring navigations such as removing/adding a drilldown, results row, ect.)? Do any of the available characteristics show what type of navigation was being performed, so that I could restrict the query to only look at certain types of navigations?
Thanks,
AndyHi Pcrao,
I am using the BW statistics infocube 0BWTC_C02.
But as far as I see, the key figure 0TCTNAVCTR( number of navigation steps)now only includes query execution, but also includes all other navigation steps like drill down etc.
Can we do some restriction on navigation type etc to find just the number times query execution takes place?
Thanks,

Gurus,
we just installe new BI 7 and want to configure the new analysis authorization concept for developers ,query wrters ,users .
in order to do this we need to know if we can use the existint 3.x authorization concept or need to leverage the new and if new what are the objects to be used.
thanksTry this templates to start working with it.

The working area of the BW administrator in the development system among other things includes the maintenance of the source system, uploading meta data, the executing of queries for the statistics InfoCube and the maintenance of the aggregates.
S_RS_RDEMO BW role: Modeler (development system)
The BW Modeler elaborates the data model in the development system. It is responsible for the design of the InfoCubes, InfoObjects, InfoSources and the data flow and it defines communication structures, transmission and update rules.
S_RS_ROPAD BW role: BW Administrator (production system)
The BW administrator in the production system is mainly responsible for the maintenance of the connection to the source system and the execution of queries for the statistics InfoCube.
S_RS_ROPOP BW role: Operator (production system)
The main task of the BW operator in the production system is uploading data from the source system and the monitoring of the results.
S_RS_RREDE BW role: Reporting developer (development system)
The main task of the reporting developer is the query design for the required reports. For these reports he creates authorization objects. Furthermore, he creates channels for the InfoCatalog and assigns the users to the channels.
S_RS_RREPU BW role: Reporting user
The reporting user executes queries via the BEx Analyzer and BEx Explorer.
Hope it Helps
