Casio G'zOne "package file is invalid"

I just bought the Casio G'zOne and everytime I download an ap for it I get "Package file is invalid". I use Play Store to get the ap. I tried clearing the cache and data for Play Store, I turned the phone on and off, I took the battery out of the phone and turned it back on, I looked for System updates and downloaded any updates needed. I bought 2 of these phones. Both work perfect for everything except for downloading aps. Is there a software update I am missing or are these phones too old to get newer aps. Aps I have been trying to get are Words with friends, weatherchannel, Angry Birds, etc. It seems that if I keep trying, then one of the phones will finally successfully download the ap and work. But I watch my nieces with their Droid and Samsung Galaxy and they don't have any of these problems. Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks for all the help. I talked to my Verizon dealer the other day and after I left them and got back home, I realized what the problem was. My WiFi was causing the conflict for some reason. My verizon dealer said some phones were not able to use the wifi to download aps or the wifi wasn't a good enough connection. I turned the WiFi off on the phone and everything worked using 3G. So I did get my 2 phones to download aps. Thanks for all your help on this issue.
I did have one other question. Is there a way to set my time manually on my phone to a different time zone? I live on the border of a time zone and the towers I use are both on central time, where I live on mountain time. My old flip phone allowed me to put the current time zone time and also the Denver time - both at the same time. I mostly work on the mountain time zone, but I do cross into the central time zone, so that really worked good on my flip phone. But my new phone says "automatically set time" and I cannot control how the time is shown on the screen.

I have the Bionic also! It's one of my favorite devices! The 4G speeds on this phone is amazing! May I ask what app is it that you are trying to download? Have you tried to download another app & if so, do you get the same error message? If it's only happening with one app then the issue can be reported to the developers for review. Simply, provide me with the name of the app & I can look it up for additional information on how to report the error message that you are getting. If the issue is with the Market place then the best option would be a factory reset. I have posted a link on how to complete a factory reset below.

Prior to completing a factory reset, I encourage you to verify that your contacts are backed up. Backup Assistant and your Gmail account are excellent options for archiving your contacts. Once you have performed the factory reset then the device would need to be reactivated. This is a fairly simple process and the tutorial on the device will walk you through the setup process. After the device is setup then please try to download an app for the market. If you are still getting the same error message then please advise by replying to this posting for additional assistance.

I have gotten this error on both my phone and my tablet what do I have to do to make this work

Okay. This is crazy. I wanted to make certain that Google Play could download and install other apps without the error. I chose a large game "The Secret Society". It downloaded and installed fine. I uninstalled it.
Then I attempted to install Firefox again, preparing to capture a screen shot of the error for posting here, but it installed without a hitch this time.
Not sure if the passage of time, a correction on the server side, or the mere act of downloading, installing and uninstalling another app did the trick, but I'm glad I'm back in business now. I hate it when that happens!

Invalid package file on Asus fonepad with android 4.1.2

Seems to be a compatibility problem installing Adobe AIR on to an Asus phonepad returning "error package file is invalid". Is there a fix in the air? Several other fonepad users have reported the same problem on Google play. wotdyano.

Cannot install Photoshop Touch, get invalid package file

I have purchased the Photoshop Touch for phone on my Galaxy Note2 and haven't been able to install it since. It goes thru the install process, but at the end I get: ERROR PACKAGE FILE INVALID. I've gone thru this several times and it's very frustrating. Additionally, I have tried to search the forums and Google solutions, nothing is working. I've even chatted with and spoken with a couple of Adobe representatives...no success. I just keep getting referred bk to this site. Relatively simple package to get OLE-DB connection to MS FoxPro 9.0 DB
The failure in the job log states that the path is invalid its a network path (\\192.168.1.xxx\foldername) this has been run several ways with the remote computer being mapped as a network drive and through the \\ notation described above.
Thinking it was a security issue between the SQL agent account and my account I tested by subsitution myself as a proxy account for the agent when running this job, again same result failed on network path.
One issue I see is that the remote computer is running Server 2000 (legacy software incompatable with newer versions)
Is it possible that this is a security issue, since if i understand correctly the current MS domain security model didn't exist until Server 2003.

Have you got the issue resolved? Based on your description, please make sure the target folder is shared properly. If the computer on which the SQL Server Agent job runs doesn’t join the domain as the server that hosts the shared folder, you have to share
the folder with everyone by adding “Everyone” to the people list on the File Sharing page of the folder and assign "Read/Write" permission to it.

Office 2013 with Visio and Project Error - Package manifest is invalid

In July I successfully created an App-V install of Office 2013 VL using the ODT. This week I decided to try just doing Visio as we don't install it or Project on all systems. I used my same customconfig.xml and just changed the ProPlusVolume to VisioProVolume
and changed the source path. Everything downloaded and packaged fine. I was able to import into SCCM just fine and create a deployment to my test collection. However when I run the install out of Software Center I get (as part of a much longer error) the message
in AppEnforce.log that the package manifest is invalid. Thinking that maybe I had to include Office as long with Visio I tried packaing all three items but still get the same error. Has anyone else seen this behavior and/or ideas how to fix it? Can I sequence
just Visio or just Project? I'm including my config.xml just in case I've got something wrong with it that I haven't caught. Thanks

I'm trying to create na app-v package (v.5 SP2) of Office 2013.
I downloaded the Office Deployment Tool for Click-to-Run from here:

I installed it into C:\Office2013pck shared that folder as
\\APPVMANAGER\Office2013 and mapped as Z:\.
I changed the configuration.xml file to:

An unexpected error occurred while retrieving AppV package manifest. Windows error code: 1465 - Windows was unable to parse the requested XML data.
I tryied to publish it from powershell, getting the same error message agalluci image post shows.
From the Event Log I got this additional information:
There was a problem retrieving the requested package \\APPVMANAGER\AppVpck\Office\VisioProVolume_ProPlusVolume_en-us_x86.appv for import. Error message: Unspecified error
Element '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/appv/2010/manifest}UsedKnownFolders' is unexpected according to content model of parent element '{http://schemas.microsoft.com/appx/2010/manifest}Package'.
I haven't found any indication of which file is the manifest app-v file.
I also haven't found any .xml with the "UsedKnownFolders" tag (I changed the .appv package extension to .zip and explored some of the files).
I tryied creating a package for 32 and 64 bits, only office, office and visio, and office visio and project running Windos 7 and Windows 2012.

Renaming files with invalid characters in their names on NTFS partitions, introduced by operating systems other than Windows

Essentially, Linux created some files with colons (:) in the name on a NTFS partition where I have Windows installed. I have since uninstalled Linux, but now I can only view these files in Windows Explorer. I can't open them, I can't even rename them to
correct the problem. It's as if they don't exist, because of the invalid search paths.
If I try to rename them in Windows Explorer I get following message.
The file name you specified is no valid or too long.
Specify a different file name.
Well isnt' that something?... isn't that nice? Windows is able to display these files, but it doesn't allow me to open them and it certainly doesn't like me to rename them. So why is it whining about it then, when I'm trying to help? It says "try a different

are. Just add some crazy voodoo code to it and it will work. If you can make it possible on Windows Server with UNIX user-mode subsystem on NT kernel, then what's stopping you from giving the Windows client system the same benefit?
So what now? Purchase a Windows Server 2012 R2 license, copy my invalid files to a NAS share with NFS on a UNIX or Linux system, and have a go at the Windows registry and Server for NFS? Yeah... you're right, it's probably a bit over the top...

EHP5 Stack File is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 source .

Hi all . . .
Attempting to install EHP5 on ERP ABAP stack. Currently on EHP4 SPS5.
During the configuration roadmap step, the Stack configuration overview told me that "for the following components, a Component Upgrade/Installation and/or Support Packages will be included according to the selected EhP stack configuration . . . " and it proceeded to list the various compoents and their intended releases. During that, I did take note that it wanted to move EA-HR to 600 SPLevel 0059 . . . I was surprised by this, yet I pressed on.
Now, during the Information Gathering phase (PREP_EXTENSION/SUBMOD_EXTENSION_NEW/EHP_INCLUSION) I received the error:
Last error code set: Stack file is invalid: component 'EA-HR' (stack release 600 < source release 604)
I understand that it is trying to tell me that the component is trying to install a release lower than what is already installed. The problem is, I do not know how to go about fixing it.
Any suggestions?

Hello Bryan,
I believe the best and fastest way to have EA-HR upgraded to 605 is to unselect this usage type in MOPZ, regenerate the XML without it, upgrade the rest of the system to EhP5 level and, afterwards, upgrade only EA-HR to 605 level using SAINT.

Zone create not installing all zone root files

I'm installing a new T5240 Solaris 10 u6 10/08 with the 10_Recommended patch kit from 09 Dec 2008. The system is jumpstarted with /, /usr, /var, /export/home on SVM mirrored internal 146g drives. When I first got the server up and running, I tested zone creation with a default zone setup:

This worked, so I removed it and continued with the server configuration:
The nxge0 interface has been configured with 802.1q vlan (nxge103000) and is successfully on the network. I configured MPX/IO on the pair of fp interfaces. I've added a disk from our HP EVA SAN array and created a ZFS pool and filesystem for the zoneroot, mounted at /opt/zones/zoneroots/oraprod1.
Now, when I try to recreate the test zone it now fails to copy all of the required files to the root, puts many errors into the install log about files changed in the global-zone root after installation and won't boot the zone past single-user maintenance mode.
The zone create now shows: (after adjusting the phys net i/f name)

Yes, I've reproduced the problem with and without the '-b' option on create, on UFS as well as ZFS filesystem and on /export/home/zones on the local drive.
My plan now is to walk thru the configuration process one step at a time, trying to create the zone at each step. I re-jumped the server last night and created the zone correctly. I then removed it, installed patches in single user, rebooted with "-r" and was able to recreate the zone. I've enabled mpxio and i can still create the zone. Next up tonight is to add the 802.1Q configuration, add the ZFS rootzone and run our custom scripts that to server hardening, user setup, etc.
There was one bug report that sounded "interesting" having to do with a patch set that wasn't zone-friendly as it left patch files in place w/o fixing the manifests so when the zone create ran it found files that didn't match the checksums or whatever is used to validate file correctness when copying files into the zone.
I'll keep updating this with my progress and findings.

Unsupported File Type: Invalid Video

I'm creating a video project using iMovie. I'm now working on the DVD in iDVD and customizing my menus. I'm trying to drag pictures into the drop zone but I keep getting the message "Unsupported File Type: Invalid Video". Well first of all, its not even a video I'm trying to drag in, just regular JPEG photos. Second, I can usually drag pictures onto the main menu screen but when I get to the scene selections, that's when I start running into my problem. Has this happened to anyone else?

No, I've tried that. See, I can import like, the first 6 photos, after that I start getting the message. I even try importing the photos that I've already imported again and those won't even import.
Awhile ago while I had those six pictures imported, I saved the project, closed it and reopened it. The pictures werent there.
I've been trying any photo now that I have on my computer and nothing will import.
