CAT2 - Access to record time on setting conditions?

Hi Experts,
Can anyone suggest a solution for the below scenario.
We have two different users having access to enter time entry in CAT2 transaction.
User 1: Have to enter his time entry only to his personnel no. in CAT2 transaction. He should not post time entry for other
personnel no.
User 2: He is the time administrator, who records time entry for (sub_contractors) several personnel no. in CAT2 transaction. In
this case the sub_contractors does not have access to this transaction.
I used CVR & PER parameter to default DATA ENTRY PROFILE & PERSONNEL NO. for the individual employee. However the system is not restricting the user to access other personnel no.
Please help me to solve this issue.

Conflict between CAT2 and ESS Record Time

Does anyone know how to set up security to allow someone to record time through ESS while prohibiting that person from recording their own time through transaction CAT2 in ECC? Our Payroll Department uses CAT2 to record/correct time for the entire company, but they are prohibited from recording/correcting their own time through CAT2 due to SOD violations. Prohibiting them from recording their own time in CAT2, however, also prohibits them from recording their time through ESS. We've tried using two login IDs for each Payroll user, but that did not work because each would have to be linked to the user ID so you end up with two IDs that can either record their time through both CAT2 and ESS or neither. We're also aware of context-sensitive based security, but we've been told that would require redoing all of our security roles, so we're trying to avoid it. Does anyone know of another way to achieve what we're trying to achieve?

Why is time recording an SoD and if so why is ESS not an SoD?
Probably because the ruleset does not include the webservice but only the cat2 tcode... in which case you might as well create zcat2 which calls cat2 without skip first screen --> no SoD anymore...

Record time when boolean condition is true

Is it possible to record the time when a boolean expression is true, i.e if an =0 condition was placed on an AC signal, would it be possible to record the times when the wave crossed 0.
I expected this part of my overall problem the easiest, but im simply not getting anywhere

Thanks for looking at my problem,
The real problem is to do with an engine crank sensor (Variable reluctance). When the sensor is placed on a toothed wheel (12 - 3 teeth), the sensor produces a sinusoidal like wave, with a gap 25% of the time. Teeth can be found on the wave as V=0 and dv/dt<0. The gap will then be used as a ref point.
My eventual intentions are to monitor the signal from the engine and calculate the angle of the shaft by looking at gap times between wave cycles. Before i use the real sensor i intend to fully simulate everything.
I now have an approximate simulation of the crank signal. i have attatched it.
I expected the =0 part not to work for the reason you stated but was unsure how to get around that. So, I thought i would produce a square wave first when dv/dt<0 and when -0.1<v<0.1. I was then hoping there would be a rising edge trigger tool that could give me times of these rising edges of the square wave so that i could record them in a table, but i cant find/think of a way to do this.
After i have a way of doing this i will compare gaps between teeth to find the ref tooth. After it is found i will increment a tooth counter everytime a tooth passes, and from there estimate angle of crankshaft.
As for how many teeth times need to recorded, i think 3 only. The last three teeth passing the sesnor will allow me to find 2 gaps bewteen teeth times which will allow me to find the wheels gap. I can use times between teeth to estimate a time per degree figure which is then used to increment an angle counter.
Any help is much appreciated i know there will be an easyish way of doing this, i just cant find it.

Set maximum record time?

Can I set maximum record time in Logic 8? Recording an hour-long live program unsupervised, & I'd like it to stop afterwards.
(I don't know any problem with continuing recording for hours until the hard drive is full? But it's not necessary.)

You can use the Auto-Punch In/Out function to set Logic stop recording automatically.
Also, set the bar value for the project end (at the transportbar, under the tempo).
For How long you can record depends on you HD capacity, but also the file format (aif,wav,caf...) the bit depth and the sample rate.
each format has its own limit.
Refer to user manual and check for the best file format for your purpose.

Time capsule set up fine but time machine hangs up when accessed

hi,
i just bought my mac book pro this year. then, purchased 1TB Time capsule. i had set up the time cap after 2 days with the time machine. it worked well but i cannot print when the printer cable is attached to the time cap. then, i missed several scheduled back ups due to electricity interruptions and even resorted to deleting the sparsebundle to start anew. when i enter time machine, i can see the outerspace background but the finder window and everything else could not be accessed. it just freezes. i brought my time cap to istore (reseller store here in the phil) and fortunately, they facilitated to replace my time cap with a new one.
with the new time cap, i rushed to set it up. initial back up has been done. my problems are:
1. i can enter time machine, but i could not access anything. the time line freezes and so with the finder window. i even resorted to ctrl option esc to get out of time machine; and
2. i still could not print via time capsule.
please help me. the discussion portion of apple website is the only direct line of help available as i am located far from the apple reseller. i don't have the landline telephone so i could not directly call apple support.

I had this problem with my Time Machine drive very recently. I wasn't using a Time Capsule but it sounds exactly like my problem.
Time Machine would backup to my external drive with no problems but every time I wanted to go into the program, it would freeze. It would be fine in the current time, (when you first enter Time Machine) but if I tried to go back in time, the animation would happen, but I wouldn't be able to click on anything in the finder Window. The only way to get out of it was, as you said, to press Apple, Option and Escape.
The way I solved this was to use Disk Utility on my external drive. I had tried before but when I clicked on verify or repair disk it just sat there for ages doing nothing. What you need to do is select the Time Capsule drive in Disk Utility and then do a repair on it.
Warning though, it will take about an hour to complete. It took probably about 20 minutes for mine to even start repairing. But it does work, I did it on mine and now Time Machine is fully working again.

How to trigger Condition Access sequence multiple times for one line item?

We have a situation that, User will enter a Promo code (custom Field) in Sales order Header Additional data B tab to apply discount for line items.
Logic goes like this:
1. For each Promo code .. there may be multiple sale deals (Max 3 at this point).
2. For each line item (refering to tkomp table) we have to apply the sale deals (found above) the Condition access sequence will pick the right sale deal to apply the line item.
3.we have enhanced the tkomp structure to hold the sale deal.
Challenge:
As we have the standard logic to trigger the condition access sequence once for each line item, how we can apply 3 sale deals for single line item. Is there any logic or way to trigger the condition access sequence multiple times for single line item with diffrent sale deals. ~ There may be one valid sale deal for one line.
Functional team maintained diffrent access tables in the access sequence!!!

I am trying to explain again, this is the requirment given by the functional guys.
we have Promo code in Hearder Addtional data B tab --> Have to retrieve Sale Deals -->
At this point of time we may have at max 3 Sale Deals. we don't know which sale deal is vallied for which item we have in TKOMP. We have enhanced the TKOMP structure to hold one sale deal only (ZZPROMO).
We have enhanced USEREXIT_PRICING_PREPARE_TKOMP in RV60AFZZ to populate the value in TKOMP. Then it will go for diffrent access sequence to find the proper condition.
Our challenge is that, for each line item we have 3 sale deals, we don't know which one is valid for which line. but we have to apply the vallied sale Deal to the line items. Line item 10 may have Sale Deal 2 , item 20 may have Sale Deal3 and 30 may have sale deal 1.
We may have solution, by fixing some thing in the code or through config. But i am confused that is it a valid requirment?

When recording videos in my Ipad, they always stop after 2:30min. I wonder how to change the video recording time?

Two paths -
One - use an alternative recording app (eg FILMiC Pro) that allows you to record at a lower frame rate and/or smaller image size. (Don't know if it supports iPad 2 on iOS4)
Two - get an iPad with a larger storage capacity. If you need more space than what a 64GB model gives you, combine it with option 1. (FILMiC Pro is supported on an iPad3 running iOS 6)

Recording Time against Network Activity in CAT2

Hi All
In CAT2 can we post time against Network Activity for a Employee directly by entering the Network Activity? How do we do this?
I do not wish to use Worklist & Copy functionality. If I enter time against Network Activity by manually entering the number, I get the error 'Enter purchase order number and item number'. It is possible to do this against WBS. How do I correct this issue?

Can you check the below steps, let me know once whether it is working fine.
SPRO->Cross-Application Component->TimeSheet->TimeRecording->Choose Fileds.
step1: Double click on the 'Data Entry Section' line Item
step2:Click on Influencing Button on the Application Tool bar.
step3: content Field-enter F4, and select the Data Entry Profile which is used by you.
step4: enter.
Step5:search for 'Sending PO Item, make it as 'input field'
and 'Sending Purchase Order' make it as 'input Field'
Step6: save the changes.(Back to initial screen)
Now you can check the CAT2 transaction with Data Entry Profile, for which you have made changes above.

Differnec in front end and back end of ESS record time from ABAP point

HI Expert,
Here I need information regarding employee working time.
Quary is we are trying to restricts the records entered in time sheet through user exit CATS0006.
Here in CATS0006 one table is there CHECK_TABLE.
when I am executing time sheet from back end(t code CAT2) the table Check_table is having forward and backword 6 weeks data from the key date and date_from and date_to fields have correct value for week start and end.So that I am able to validate records.
But when I am executing from ESS>Working time>Record working time and set an external debugger on CATS0006 I got that at this time CHECK_TABLE has only edited entry and date_from and date_to field value are also not correct one.
Please suggest what may the cause of problem ,is it the case with your system as well?
Is it a problem with SAP standard code?

Hi,
What password are you talking about, the one created with the workgroup manager? That will be difficult since 2010 doesn't have the workgroup manager anymore. You can still use the database in the 2010 environment but you can't make any changes to the original
database without the password.

Sub reports access database multiple times

Hello,
I have a crystal report created with a main and 2 sub reports. The data source is a stored procedure. when ever I ran/refresh the report it access the database 3 times(first for main report and 2 times for 2 sub reports).
There is a big single query been executed and stored procedure returns the result. Even though the result set is same the report should not access database multiple times.
Is there any options or properties I have to select or missing. Is there any solution to resolve this connectivity issue.

Hi,
Each report will each have their own separate connection to the database. In your case it will create 3 connection: one for the main report and one for each of the subreports. If you use sureports, there's no way around this.
Also take into account where the subreports are on the main report. If you have them in the detail or group sections the subreports will generate a new instance each time it runs. So you may have not 3 connections but one for each record or group in the report.
I've had to design similar reports and needed to do it without subreports. I wrote a stored procedure that generated two sets of records: detail and summary. I grouped the data on the report based on their record type (Detail or Summary). I found this also made the report faster.

Record time against network activity in CATS

Is there any special exit to be used to DIRECTLY record time against Network Activity in CATS ? I do not which to use the "Worklist & Copy" functionality.

Hi,
As far as i know, you can directly do a timesheet entry for a network activity. You need to have details like activity type and cost center to do this. Also note that timesheet entry in CAT2 is directly influenced by the data entry profile that you use and the settings in CAC2 transaction.
I would suggest you to check both the Data Entry Profile and the setting in CAC2. If you find everything is fine here please check if there is any user exit that is preventing you from making a timesheet entry.

A PC can have more issues connecting than a Mac.
But it really should not matter.. so just try it in situ.. press and hold the reset.. once it starts up, it will return to default IP, 10.0.1.1 the PC should then be able to find it via the airport utility.
If not drag it over to the Mac and plug in there by ethernet.. or since it is a laptop, really should not be that difficult to drag the Laptop and plug it into the TC.
Important thing is to get access to the TC.
The Mac if it is running lion, then you MUST download and install 5.6 airport utility to do anything useful.

No Audi input on 2011 Macbook Pro - How can i record in DJ sets ?

Just upgraded my old DJ laptop from my trusty old 2006 Powerbook 12" to a brand new 13" 2011 Macbook Pro
My Powerbook had a Audio Input next to the headpone Jack. Macbook Pro does not ? so whats the deal here as it was usefull to me for recording in DJ sets and also music from other audio sources.
what do i need to do ? i used Audacity on powerbook (which i am going to keep for certain places i DJ)
Cant use firewire as this is used for my External HD i use with my DJ software (SERATO) Serato alo uses a USB port

I just had the same problem I think in that I used to plug my recording lead into the socket on the laptop next to the headphone one which is now gone! So you have to use the headphone socket and change the sound settings from output to input so you wont be able to hear it on lap top at same time anymore I cant anyway.Hope that helps. I cant figure out why mine is sounding so bad when I record now tho it was ok at first and now like im playing in the red!

How can I add recording time to a single recording not a series recording?

If I set-up a series recording it allows me to add minutes to the recording time why can't I add time to a single recording? For example if I want to record a single show tomorrow I find it on the guide and hit record. Now I want to add a few minutes on the end of the show because I know it always runs over it's advertised time why can't I add the time? It doesn't gives to extra options for a single recording. The only time I can add time to a single recording is if the show is currently on then it allows me to add time but, not before the show is on. So what good does that do? Comcast allowed me to set-up extra options to a single recording.

Actually you can. It's a bit clumsy but what you have to do is go to the DVR menu, select scheduled reordings, select the recording you want to extend, scroll through the menu and you will find an option to modify the start / end time.

I try connecting to Revenue records with web services using the same user
ID with which I'm able to create Service Revenue Details information from
the CRM OnDeman user interface but instead, I get an error message saying
"Access denied.(SBL-DAT-00553)";(SBL-EAI-04376).
Why can't the web service read the revenue records that I am able to
create or update manually from the CRM OnDemand portal, with the same ID?

I found another way to access Revenue records. Instead of accessing the
ListOfRevenue field of the Account web service, I access the ListOfProduct
field of the Opportunity web service. I also instantiate Opportunity2
objects so that the code to get a list of opportunities and products
(containing revenue fields) becomes

I Assume the following is your sample data

Note : For the Regid "4" I have changed the Registration_End to 21/03/2005. It was earlier 21/04/2005.
Coming to the query, you need to generate the list of regid that have gaps.
Try the following query:
SELECT c.*

Note: I am sorry I didn't have access to the data base to execute my query. Correct me if I am wrong.
