CAT2 Timesheet entry area

Hello Experts,
We have an new user joined and have been given the CAT2 access for him along with the other few new joinee, but the problem is when he login to the cat2 data entry screen there comes a automatic prepopulated entries which is not relevant to him and he has not even made any entry still. The data carries different activity type, network number, work centre etc which is not been assigned to his master record. But if we try to delete those data it comes back again when that user login to cat2.
Could you please let me know whether we have any way to encounter this or any solution for this.
Reply will be appreciated, as this is been logged to production server

Hi,
Please check the data entry profile used by the new user and check in Customising for the In Processing days in work list area for that Data Entry profile.
If it is defined as positive value then past weeks data will get displayed and similarly for future record it should be a negative value.
Check what is configured for the In processing days. If it is not required then maintain 0 so that no values will be shown in the work list area for any specific personnel number.

Add fields to CAT2 data entry area table control

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I need to add a column after every day ( Moday , Tuesday.. ) in CAT2 to enable the user to enter short text description for the time entry accountabiity. For this I will have to add 7 additional columns to the table control of the data entry area one beside each day. The description entered by the user should be updated in the database.
I am thinking of using screen exit CATS0012. But not very sure how to go about it.

Thanks Ankush. I am going for the CATS0005 option. I have created a customer project TSHEET within an existing PS package on the system. The system prompted me to obtain a transport number which I guess will attach the new project to the package in future.
Could you advise further on how to do this in practise? My instructions say 'on the initial project administration screen select the Enhancement components field and choose Change. In fact there appear to be 2 options - either Components or Enhancements assignement. If I choose Enhancements assignment I am prompted to enter the name of an exit. I entered CATS0005 as I have to bring this into the customer project somehow. Within package MY_CATS_INTERFACE appeared however CATS0005 was not recognised within this package. Likewise CI_CATSDB was not recognised.

Hi,
The email functionality is already available in the print program of PO and RFQ. For PO(Output type MAHN) the program is SAPFM06P. We are passing the sender and receipient in OPEN_FORM (Include LMEDRUCKF1O). So no need to write the mail functionality again.
My problem is after the email is sent to the recipient then an acknowledgement is also sent to the sender saying the "mail sent to Vendor". I want to disable this acknowledgement feature.
Same with RFQ. The RFQ(output type NEU) is using the the smartform and we are passing sender and recipient details in the CALL FUNCTION lf_fm_name.
How to disable the acknowledgement feature.

Company Code-Timesheet Entry Restriction

Hi!
The timesheet entry of a resource working within a company code & cost center should not be able enter into the WBS Element or Project ID belonging to another company code. How to set this in configuration?

You need stop cross company code transaction which is done at Controlling area level setting and also you need to see whether inter company code transaction at OBYA has been allowed or not. Kindly get the help of your FI/CO person.

Restrict the timesheet entry period in portal

Hi,
The requirement is to restrict the timesheet entry period (2 weeks) in the portal. ie the user should be allowed to edit previous or next two weeks timesheet only.
The r/ 3 configuration is done and in it is working fine in r/3. Please let me know if any settings to be done in portal

@Siddharth: I remember we went over this a while ago but am posting it here for the benefit of a renewed discussion.
The validation in the CATS User exit will kick in only when the user clicks on the Check & Refresh button, which I believe isn't user friendly. What if the user enters a bunch of entries only to realize that he/she shouldn't be doing so, wouldn't it be frustrating? I would rather expect the restriction to occur at a higher level, i.e. the user should not be allowed to pick a date that the business logic decides (could be 'n' pay periods going back from system date). As you we know, there are at least 3/4 ways a user can pick a date in the past on the Record Working Time Application.

Please always post your System details when you have a query. The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:

Leopard: when the upgrade is completed iCal on Leopard will not be able to see the MobileMe calendars until an additional process is carried out, detailed in this Apple Tech Note:

BPC 10.0 NW: JOURNAL ENTRIES ARE REVERSED WHEN RUNNING CONSOLIDATION

Hi Expert,
After running consolidation, I made various journal entries. After posting the journal entries, status of consolidation and currency translation in consolidation model was changed from "done" to "to be executed". When I re-run the consolidation, the journal entries were reversed.
Please help.

I believe that you have had posted Journal entries in Local Currency(LC) and Group Currency with NOSCOPE level. Based on your entry System would perform from above rules.

GL A/c related to HR payroll - some entries are missing

Dear All,
I have an issue with 1 GL A/c which is for Advance- Salary.
1) On 26.11.2009, Advance against salary of Rs. 5000 is paid to one employee by cheque. (The same is recovered in the payroll of Nov, 2009. (30.11.2009))
2) In Dec, 2009, advance against salary of Rs. 500 is given to employee by cash. (The same is recovered in the payroll of Jan, 2010 (31.01.2010))
Accounting entries for Advance given to employees against salary are appearing correctly as :
Advance-salary A/c Dr.
To Bank / Cash A/c
As I mentioned above, both the advances are recovered in the next payroll. All the entries in these payroll (including salary advance recovery of other employees) are posted correctly. However, only these 2 entries are not posted & untraceable. (No credit of these amounts in Advance-Salary A/c). Now, the Advance-Salary A/c is showing Debit Balance of Rs. 5,500/- which is summation of above 2 entries.
I checked :
PC00_M99_DKON - Correct GL A/c is assigned for Salary Advance Wage Type
PC00_M99_CWTR - Wage type reporter - which is showing the salary deduction against Salary Advance
PC00_M40_CEDT - Remuneration statement - correctly showing deductions from salary against advance
I do not think this can be HR-FI integration issue as all other salary advance recoveries are getting posted correctly.
Can somebody help me in finding out how I can trace where those to entries have got posted?
If the entries are untraceable, is there any other way where I can create some dummy GL (? not sure) & clear Advance-Salary GL A/c?

Thanks for the response.
But while giving advance, entry hit to Bank Clearing A/c & then in BRS, Open Item in Bank Clearing A/c got cleared with Main Bank.
So I do not think there is any issue with BRS.
Any other possibility or solution on this?

HT4489 Ever since the last update IOS5.1.1, calendar entries are not saved on Icloud, and would not sync on all I clould devices

After the last update of IOS5.1.1, all caledar entries are not saved on Icloud and thus not synced on all my Icloud devices, even though, spreadsheets are synced, photostream is working and contacts is syncing, only calendar items. Anybody has the same problem? Or a solution to this kind or problem?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

In iWeb, blog entries are not appearing

in iWeb, am entering blog entries which are appearing in the blog archive but showing up as an entry for people to see. Any suggestions?

Do you mean 'appearing in the blog archive but not showing up as an entry for people to see' ?
By default iWeb limits the number of entries in a blog feed to 5; it then moves older episodes to the archive page (and out of the feed) as new entries are made. You can increase this number to 50 in the RSS section of the Inspector.
New entries should not be appearing in the Archive, though if you were giving them older dates then they presumably would.
Posting the URL of your blog might aid in finding a solution.

Every time I sync my iCal computer with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications?

Every time I sync my iCal on my computer through iTunes with my iPhone 4 or iPad, duplicate entries are generated on both systems. What am I doing wrong or how can I avoid the duplications? I have been doing this for several years and this problem is a more recent issue, like in the last 6 months. I have been deleting the duplicate entries, on both systems, but some duplicates reappear through "general" entries that are connected to the correct color for a Calendar, but not the name. I am going nuts and wasting tons of hours trying to get the 3 calendars to sync without generating duplicate entries.

Choose one of the Calenders on ONE of the computers OR the MobileMe as the Master / correct account.
The REINITAILISE the data of MobileMe within preferences on the computer defining the datatransfer correctly (in the advanced box of preferences). The synchronise iphone contacts and calender directly on-line to MobileMe.
I posted a question on this today, and gave my own reply !

I have 2 iPads. When gifting one to my wife I did not change the log in and security details. Consequently any contacts and calendar entries are duplicated. How do I make the iPads independent so that the foregoing duplications are eliminated?

The logins on the iPads, for example the iTunes store can be the same if you share an iTunes account, this will not effect the Contacts/Calendars unless you are using iCloud to sync Calendar/Contacts in which case just setup a new iCloud account for your Wife and change the iCloud settings on her iPad to this new account.
Unfortunately the contacts if syncing with your computer will be the same as it can only sync from the given contacts on your computer.
You can use a different login to the computer for your wife and she can then have her own contacts.
If your Contacts application on your compuer has Categories/Grouping you can tell iTunes to sync certain Categories/Groups to each iPad, that way splitting up the contacts on your computer for each iPad.
The same is true for the Calendar if you only have the one calendar it will sync it for both of you, the iPad settings in iTunes has the option to pick a Calendar if you have more then one.
One option is to use an online calendar such as Google Calendar and sync to and from it with your iPad that way the Calendars would be individual.
