Catalog creation&configuration

I need to know how to configurate and create catalogs step by step in details in CCM2.0.

Hi,
I am using Weblogic 6. I have created a new Web
Application called Web (I have not used the DefaultWebApp_myserver).
And I have the following settings:
Name : Web
URI : Web
and Path : C:\Web
and placed my JSP files under c:\Web\
I am able to access the first page, but after that I am not able to access the
second page.
I get "Error 404--Not Found" on the browser. Basically the class file is not getting
created under /Web-inf/_tmp_war_myserver_myserver_Web/jsp_servlet/ folder .
I tried a work around for this. I copied all my files under one more folder called
web and placed this under C:\Web
The it works. Now I have 2 copied off all the files, 1 copy under c:\web and another
copy under c:\web\web\.
If I have the files under DefaultWebApp_myserver and have the setting as
Name: DefaultWebApp_myserver
URI: DefaultWebApp_myserver
Path: .\config\mydomain\applications
everything works fine.
Can any one please let me know if there is any configuration which has to be done
so that I do not duplicate the code in 2 directories

Hi,

SRM Contract Catalog - Creation without XI - is that possible?
Hi,
I am working with a customer on SRM 4.0 / CCM 2.0 / Business Connector 4.7 ( standalone scenario ).
We need to have contract catalogs in our system.
So I read the post from Waheed Mohammad with similar request, but the different is, that I don´t have XI and I do not know what the business scenario "MasterDataInclusion" is
Does anybody know, if SRM Contract Catalog Creation works with Business Connector 4.7 too?!
And what settings have to be done?!
Would be glad, if someone could give me a hint.

SRM Contract Catalog - Creation
Hi,
I am working with a customer on SRM 5.5 /CCM 2.0.
We need to have product and contract catalogs in our system.
1) Do we necessarily need to have <b>CCM on another client</b>?
2) We have initialized CCM with the /ccm/ccm_initialize report. After we run the BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG report SRM Product Catalog gets created. <b>How does the SRM Contract catalog get created</b>? Is there a separate report for that?
4) <b>Do we necessarily need XI</b> for my scenario?
Any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated. [and rewarded, ofcourse :-)]

Yes, it is set up for us.
<i>2)A logical system entry for CCM defined as a backend system with type Cataloge.</i>
We have CCM on the same client as the SRM EBP. So, we have already defined this client logical system as <b>Local B2B</b>. I cannot define the same logical system again as type CATALOG. So, should I create a dummy entry for this CCM backend system.. without any client assignment that is?
3)We dont have a supplier catalogue scenario. Only Product & Contract Catalogues.
When I executed the BBP_CCM_TRANSFER_CATALOG first time a SRM Product Catalog got created. Is the contract catalogue expected to be created then itslef?
Because, after we release our contracts there is no contract creation/updation happening in the CCM. Is the contract catalogue expectd to be created the first time we release any catalogue with the tick on?
Everytime we release a conract an error log is being generated for a user WF-BATCH with message
"Recepient not found.
The error ocurred by processing event RELEASED_NEWLY with GUID 70D3DB446F7CEC36E10000000A0000E8 and object_id= 5000000213" [5000000213 is our contract number"
Is this relevant to my problem? What is the issue here?

Presentation Catalog/Layer Configuration
Can anyone suggest any documentation (books, websites, white papers) on best practices for configuring the Presentation layer and catalog? I am looking for best practices for data grouping, naming conventions, calculated fields, filters, etc in terms of both user friendliness and optimized performance. I am guessing some documentation exists…if not, maybe an opportunity for someone!
I think most of those things (Best practices) you've listed exist only as confidential business practices. I don't want to discourage you, but there's no abundance of OBIEE information on the web - and this place is problably one of the best (having best people like Venkat, Adrian, Ramco, Mma and many others - who share their expertise and knowledge without being compensated).
Hint: check sample OBI EE applications - they have pretty good RPDs there...that'd be a good start - maybe you could even reverse-engineer a best practices document from there :-) -
User Specific catalog UI configuration - Custom catalog user role
Hi all,
We need different user specific layout settings for each user. i have duplicated catalog user role for each user and maintained specific named search for that particular user in constraint. but when we want to configure specific layout for individual user. its not showing that catalog user in the catalog config UI for the layout configuration. please advice. if it shows that specific user then we would configure each specific user layout with individual look and feel ( like shopping lists, search fields, images, etc., ). thanks for your inputs.

I guess you are on SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0
We have the same business scenario as yours. Its working perfectly for us.
1. Donot copy Catalog User role. SRM-MDM UI Config only accepts users assigned under std Catalog User role. You dont need mutiple copies of Catalog user role, anyways it wont work.
2. Create multiple webservices for each Named search. Provide one User (like User1, User2...or your own created ones) and one Named Search as following parameters in each webservice.
http://<your server:port>/SRM-MDM/SRM_MDM
username User<n>
password <password>
server <your server>
repositoryType M ( for Master ) S (for Slave) - Make sure you are pointing to right repo if you have master/slave
catalog <provide Repository name- make sure you are giving right repository name, I provided it wrong first time>
port <your port>
uilanguage SY-LANGU
datalanguage SY-LANGU
mask < keep blank if you want dynamic search>
namedsearch <Provide exact Named search name as you provided in Data Manager>
HOOK_URL
returntarget _parent
If you are creating 5 different Named searches, create 5 different webservice definitions as above.
3. Now for each Catalog user, you can perform separate search UI layout as you wish.

Issue in sales order creation configuration.
Hi Friends
I want to create a sale order from IDOC using configurable material.I filled all the required values for that configurable material,But while executing this idoc its creating a sale order for some kind of material, but its not creating for some kind of material.
But if I delete the segment 'E1CUCFG' from idoc table before calling the standard function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS its generating the sale order number.
But if I delete that segment, its not activate the config part and not fill all the line items in sale order.
I checked in all the way, but I didnt get any idea.if anybody have an idea about this let me know.

Thank you for your replay.
There is no Net value column in pricing procedure. Am able to change the Net value in the condtion tab of Item level but the problem is , the change is not reflected in condition tab of sales order header net value.This is creating a problem when we try to post the invoice document .

Catalog creation in SPRO vs BBP_CUST_CAT
SRM 4.0
I thought BBP_CUST_CAT was the same transaction as going through SPRO --> Supplier Relationship Management --> SRM Server --> Master Data --> Define External Web Services. However, when comparing the catalogs in BBP_CUST_CAT vs SPRO - SPRO contains all the catalogs and BBP_CUST_CAT is missing some. What controls the visibility of catalogs displaying in bbp_cust_cat? Is there a seperate transaction which will show all catalogs?Hi,
You could probably create a new parameter transaction (SE93) for the transaction SM34 and skip first screen with view cluster name as WSI_MVC.
Then when you execute this transaction, it will directly open the view cluster.

Need help with Catalog creation
I have a catalog of 500 item I would like to sell over the
web . This catalog is in a PDF format with graphics and text . How
can I get into contribute and add the paypal cart buttons. I am
trying to eliminate the need of recreating the catalog when it is
all already created and shoud be able to convert for use in
contribute. any help would be appreciated . If contribute is not
the product for me let me know that as well. The catalog was
created in illustrator and saved as a PDF file (if this
helps)If you have the source design in Illustrator - you might want
to use Dreamweaver or GoLive instead, so that you can insert your
graphics and text elements using layers and hotslices. Contribute
can then be used to manage your site content. For a simple site
design, you can incorporate existing sample templates in
Contribute, and then add the paypal shopping object to them. Since
you have the graphical mockup in Illustrator this should be two
ways to approach your catalog to web design. -

(b) Assign Delivery type and Checking rule

(d) Assign billing types to Delivery types {Logistics - General - Tax on Goods Movements - India - Business Transactions - Outgoing Excise Invoices - Assign Billing Types to Delivery Types}

Email Alias on RCDC Group Creation Configuration- how to hide it?
WHile creating a group we have Email Alias attribute, i want to hide it.
When i deleted that attribute's code in XML error came-

Basically you want to copy an existing grouping and make that one visible, and the my:visible property on the original grouping to be false. Further, copy all the controls into this new grouping and remove the ones you don't want
