On a Mac, Just upgraded from Lightroom 4, to 5. Problems with Catalog transfer.

So I did the upgrade version of Lightroom 5 from 4. I did the catalog transfer to move all of my images over from lightroom 4 to 5. But now when I click on any of my old images (from a lightroom 4 catalog) in lightroom 5, I get an error message that says Lighroom has a problem reading the images. Last night I tried to export from lightroom 5 to my desktop and it did not work with the same error message coming up. Help!!! What am I (did I) doing wrong?

-Once I put the disc in I followed the procedures to upload LR5. This was successful. The first time I opened LR5 I was prompted to transfer my old LR4 catalogs to LR5 which I did.
-Now when I click on any image, once I click away, in the lower scroll bar of images an exclamation mark in a small circle. When you click on the exclamation mark this message appears "Lightroom has encountered problems reading this photo. You will not be able to make adjustments to the photo." This happens to every image I click on.

SRM Catalog Transfer Error

We have just finished installing SRM 7.0 ABAP (AIX/Oracle/NW 7.0 EhP 1) on one server, SRM 7.0 Java (same config) and SRM-MDM (3.0) on another server.
The servers talk fine. We're using ABAP for UME, we've done all of the configuration in the SRM-MDM catalog config guide and the SRM config guide.
We have a test user, set up to be able to see the catalog and shop. When logged in as this test user, we go to Employee Self-Service, Shop and click on a catalog to search. The catalog items are displayed on the screen.
When we try to transfer items to the shopping cart, we receive an error:
"Unit not transferred and cannot be determined
Incomplete items in catalog. Only complete items were transferred."
There is nothing in the J2EE logs, or MDM logs. No short dumps, nothing in the System log on the ABAP side.
Can anyone think of any place else to look?

Log into your MDM_SRM_UI_App, check your OCI setting and find out which field in MDM is mapped to you order unit. And check MDM catalog manager to find out whether or not you are sending this value.
If this check is fine, check the uom has a correct ISO code in SRM and the primary iso code check box is checked. I am sure the first check should solve your problem

SRM MDM Catalog - Transfer Contracts from SRM - XI - MDM

Hi,
We are implementing SRM MDM Catalog1.0 with SRM 5.0 & ECC 6.0.
We have already configured XI content for MDM Catalog.
We have also done the basic settings for transferring contracts from srm to XI (including Backend System & Check box in Contracts for transfer to catalog).
But when i run the report SRMMDM_CTR_TRANSFER, the log tells me that contracts transfer has been initialized, but I cant see any XML message in SXMB_MONI
Can someone pls help and tell me why is that happening??

yes we have a SRM system from which we want are going to be sending Contracts, Prod Id's, Product Categories, Suppliers List etc from SRM to MDM using XI.
We have the Pre delivered content for XI from which we have set up the Interfaces etc.
This mapping between SRM-XI-MDM works pretty fine if i try to send Products or suppliers from SRM. I can see the IDOCs being generated. But when i run the report for Contracts, I cant see any IDOC in SXMB_MONI in SRM which is my source system.
So hence my question..... Is there some other way by which Contracts are transferred and if so then how and where can I see it.

SRM-MDM Catalog - Transfer Product masters

Hi Guys,
I am using SRM 5 and SRM-MDM 2.0. I have uploaded using MDMGX all the product groups, currencies, and UOMs successfully.
Now I have set up XI and SRM for transferring Product masters, suppliers and contracts. When I run BBP_CCM_TRANSFER, I am getting confirmation with green light. However, I am not seeing any messages in SXMB_MONI. But when I send the suppliers, I could see messages in SXMB_MONI in SRM and Xi and both are with checkered flag (successful). But in MDM, I do not see any supplier entry. Where do I see?
Also, why I can not see SXMB_MONI message for product master transfer.
Any help is highly appreciated with loads of points.

Thanks for your reply. I have configured Xi communication channel. I have put the FTP server entries and path to the ready folder in communucation channel as per the ftp server set up. But the file is not in Ready folder when I checked the ftp directory path. It didn't even show any entry in SXMB_MONI in SRM. Do I have to make an entry in "Define Backend Systems" in SRM for SRM-MDM catalog?
Also, when I transferred the suppliers it is showing up in SRM and XI under SXMB_MONI as successful but was not there in MDM data manager. Do you know where I can find the supplier that I loaded through XI?
Also, I would like to confirm that my FTP path in communication channel I have changed based on what we configured for our FTP server to the Ready folder and so is it OK or we have to leave it as it is. Is it possible to send me your commincation channel screen shot? I would really appreciate your help.

How to Photoshop Elements 5 catalog transfer to Bridge

I recently switched from a pc to a mac. I have an extensive PSE catalog. How do I transfer the tag information into bridge, which is included in PSE 6 for the mac?

That last posted link helped me. In PE6's version of Organizer, there is a command under "File" that reads "Write Keyword Tag and properties info to photo" When I did this on a photo with a tag that wasn't in the metadata it did write it into the metadata. I haven't been able to check if it show up in bridge yet because bridge won't start for me at the moment. I think I'll have to reinstall it later. The info should show up though. It is showing up in CS3 when I have the file open and look at the file info.
Don't know if that will help with PE 4 or not but hope it helps.

Doubt about catalog transfer badi

Hi all,
When we select the catalogs and add it to the shopping cart items
then bbp_catalog_transfer Badi gets triggered . Let me know in which structure item details exist whether it is
CATALOG_CONTENT or ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA.
In our system with old catalogs before both the CATALOG_CONTENT and ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA structure should have SC item details but after uploading new catalogs only CATALOG_CONTENT is filled.
Please let know why only CATALOG_CONTENT is filled why not ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA .
or is it depends on some conditions.

1. catalog_content is what is returned from the catalog.
2. ENRICHED_ITEM_DATA is obsolete
3. use ET_SC_ITEM_DATA for changing SC items (set the parameter EV_SC_STRUCTURES_USED)
If the ET structure is not filled check catalog_content_errors for errors during the transfer of items.

Qualification Catalog transfer from HR to E-Recruiting

Hi Gurus,
We have a standalone E-Recruiting system. The qualifications catalog is maintained in HR. How do I transfer the catalog from HR to E-Recruiting? ALE? If ALE I assume a batch job needs to run periodically to keep the catalogs in sync.

Hi Garth,
if you really like to transfer qualifications, ALE is an option. But ensure you do not forget to transfer the information connected to a qualification catalog. For example you will have to transfer the scales you used. This can be done using transports but keep in mind someone might have created a scale ín e-recruiting e.g. for candidate ranking so check that there is no id collission.
If you want to use your hr qualification catalog you also have to be aware of the restrictions of the qualification catalog used in e-recruiting. E-recruiting qualification catalogs must have exactly 2 levels QKs having Q objects. More structured qualification catalogs ften found in HR coe with QKs including other QKs are not supported. To work around here you could use the "restricting view on qual catalog" function found in e-recruiting customizing. This is also helpful if you have included internal qualifications you want to hide from the application wizard.

Transfer product catalog hierarchy sales area level

Hi all,
We are creating a catalog in CRM based on the product hierarchy (in CRM, Catalog->transfer->product hierarchy). The hierarchy is well copied into the catalog, but the products are not automatically added to the hierarchy. The problem is thatin our product master data, the products are on "Sales Area" level (in the field dist.ch.dep. category), not in the "General" tab

Replicating Products/Catalog from SRM to MDM

I am implimenting SRM and MDM on 7.1 and SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0
I wanted to replicate catalog data from SRM. As we know each catalog record in MDM contains Product, Supplier, Info record data. I am not sure if we have to map all these in MDM or It will be mapped by SAP delivered content for replication.
I am using BBP_CCM_TRANSFER transaction in SRM to transfer data to MDM. In the selection screen I am using 'Category Hierarchy', Category ID and Language fields. I did unchek/check Force Intial Transport and P_debug. There was not much difference.
However I am getting following info messages, but unable to see any data in MDM

16.06.2010 09:27:42: Determine category TELEPHONE (5 products)

Please explain your business scenario. What data you want to replicate from SRM to MDM. We can replicate Suppliers, Contracts and Product Master from SRM to MDM through XI. Make sure you hae configured XI settings for that. You have to download the pre-delivered XI content from SAP Markeplace. Please check Note # 1177779 & 1177780 regarding that.
We can use following reports in SRM to replicate following data in MDM
BBP_CCM_Transfer_Catalog-----Product master
ROS_SUPPLIER_SEND_TO_CATALOG-----Supplier data
SRMMDM_CTR_Transfer----Contract data from SRM
In your case, you are running BBP_CCM_TRANSFER. Please check the SXMB_MONI t-code to monitor the XML messages whether XML files are processing correctly or getting stuck.

No contract price updation with Catalog

Hi All,
I am working with classic scenario.I have created catalog for product master.Also I have maintained contract for same products in R/3.
Then I maintained vendor list for those products in SRM.
Now when I shop any product from catalog by refering the contract as a automatic source determination, I am able to create PO which gets replicated in backend R/3 but this PO takes the prices from catalog and not from contract.
Do you have any idea regarding this?

Hi Navneet,
The price from a catalog always leads, even when a contract is involved, the functionlaity may be different if you also pass the SOS directly from the catalog rather than propose it after the catalog transfer, i.e. pass the contract id and item id in the OCI transfer also. If this is done an SOS_CHECK is performed which may (not sure on this) update the price based on the provided contract. Otherwise you can adjust the response by using the catalog transfer badi if desired.

Catalogs Lightroom 5

Is there a way of moving existing collections in a catalog to a new catalog? I have a large singe catalog and I would sejparate travel collections and family collections into sejparate catalogs.

A belated thanks for your help. Sorry I have'nt responded sooner, but I have been away and have had no time to try it. I have since tried it and have a problem. I can create a new catalog, transfer an entire collection ,but the sub-collections within the main collection do not appear. In addition none of the adjustments that I have made to the photos in the original catalog do not appear in the new catalog. Any Ideas?

Will pictures worked on in LR5 (and the catalog) work in LR4 on another computer?

I just purchased LR 5 and discovered it requires Windows 7. My laptop has Vista Ultimate. If I install the LR5 on my main PC (Win 7), will work performed in LR5 and the catalog, transfer to LR4 OK?
If I perform work on other files (for another project) in LR4, then copy/transfer the catalog over to the computer with LR5, will the original LR5 files/project retain all of the LR5 data?
If data is lost transferring back and forth, then I will need to return LR5.

What you have to realize is that Lightroom is a software program designed to manage and process RAW files from Digital Cameras.
The software is in a period of rapid development so by the time a new version is available the previous version is obsolete for all entents and purposes.
With the competition in the market if you decide to remain with an earlier version you are actually making a decision to be content with using second rate processes to render your raw files. e.g. Lightroom V 1, 2 & 3 can be considered outdated.
Its different when using tiff and jpeg file technology which has been static for several years now.

"Enrich" SAP MM catalog items imported via interface

We're using the 1 catalog on SAP MM solution and would like to enrich/map imported data. In SRM there is te catalog transfer badi however on MM side I'm unable to find any badi that can help me achieve this. In PM area however there is the 'customizing table solution for enriching the data'.
Example usage: If vendor delivers UOM 'PCE' via OCI then change this UOM in to 'EA'. What could suffice is the following:
1. An OCI badi in which we can enrich the imported data in SAP MM.
2. A doc change badi or some sort in which we can ammend the imported data on purchase requestion level in SAP MM
Anybody knows if such can be achieved?
Note: I'm requesting the SAP Materials Management (MM) solution to achieve this!

I've seen that badi and noticed that it's for SAP internal use only however we might be able to use it but this will be unsuported and we need to monitor this badi when implementing SP's etc. This isn't ideal however have you had any experience using the ME_CATALOG_INTERFACE badi, does it suffice and do you think it's a big burden that we have to change/use a standard SAP badi?
I know that allthough this badi is marked for internal SAP use only we can use it. If you have had any experience using this badi I'm really curious in what way you've been using it and what goals you have achieved via this.

Working with Lightroom between a Windows desktop and laptop

Please forgive me if there appears to be an obvious answer to this question. I'm sure a lot of it has to do with work flows.
I have both a Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit desktop and laptop both with Adobe CC (Photoshop CC 2014 & Lightroom 5.6) installed.
I always treat my desktop as my "Main" machine as it holds ALL of my 10,000 odd images all stor ed in a folder structure.
As a very new Lightroom user, I'm slowly starting to bring all these images into a LR catalogue folder by folder, but this will take some time.
My actual question is how can I edit a photo on my laptop in LR but ensure that the edited image is stored back in my Lightroom Catalogue on my desktop? I hope this question makes sense.
I don't store all my images up onto the cloud seeing we're talking just over 100GB. It's not like LR Mobile where one can select an image or collection to Sync and my understanding is that it appears on your Lightroom Mobile; I'm an android person and so yes, am STILL waiting for an android version of Lightroom Mobile
