Cataloge or libraries problem?

I wished to add pictures from an old catalog into a new catalog & I read here that the best way was to first copy existing to a separate drive, where presumably you give it a new name.  You would then open this catalog & once it's open you then tells the program to find the pictures in older catalog & it will import them, but tell you if you have the same picture in current catalog but looking at date take, file name, resolution etc?  Is this correct?
When I go to the system info section it tells be where my catalog should be located.

Surely this can't be correct as I have at least 12000 pictures.
I was able to move a copy to another drive which was plugged into USB port.  The then using PSE 11 I presumably go to manage catalogs.  There I see only the current catalog available to all users.   The tab for current user or custom don't do anything if I click on them.
But when I select new all I ever get is a prompt asking if I wish to import free music.  I image where I'm supposed to go from here?  I suspect that the problem might lie with Windows 7 library's.

    but if i choose NO when sked to remove the non-portable path then call this report from a form it works OK, but if i want to put this report on other machine and put the library on other directory for example c:\y and put this path in REPORTS60_PATH I receive the following error:
    REP-0756: Warning: Unable to find PL/SQL library 'c:\x\lib_reports.pll'.
    please help me because I need to publish my reports to other machines and different directories.

    I am having the same problem now in 10g.
    The report and it's attached library are both saved, compiled (ctrl+shift+K) and generated succesfully. However, when running the report in runtime the following error appears:
    REP-1247: There exist uncompiled program unit(s). REP-1247: Report contains uncompiled PL/SQL.
    When i remove the .plx-file, it works although the generation of the plx-file works without error. The generating and runtime are both done on the same database with the same user.
    Anyone have an idea why this is happening?
    PS: Is it normal that i have to generate the library in Forms? Reports doesn't seem to be able to open .pll-files.

  • OCI Catalog for Vendor problem : Logical system for catalog not maintained

    We have set up an OCI catalog with on of our vendors. This works fine untill we transfer shopping basket data from Vendor sysem into our SRM-system (SRM5.0). Then data is not being transfered and Vendor Webshop screen remains 'open'.
    in SLG1 i have found an error "Logical system for catalog not maintained. Inform system administrator'
    Anyone an idea what the cause of this error can be or what we need to check ?

    Hi,
    I have not seen that error before. However, I think it may have to do with the LOGICAL_SYSTEM OCI field. Can you check if your punch-out catalog vendor is populating that field? Also, check if you have the correct BP# populated in the catalog configuration and the LOGICAL SYSTEM Field on the define External Webservices is blank.

  • Lightroom 4.2 catalog and importing problems

    I have imported photos into the catalog but when I go to import new photos from the same folder it does not recognize the already imported photos and lists them as new photos still.  Also, it won't import any video files of any extension even though all are listed on the Lightroom website as valid and usable extensions.  On top of that dynamiclinkmediaserver.exe32 is constantly running, even after Lightroom is shut down.  Any ideas?

    Could you please post a screenshot of the import window you use while importing the files.
    My guess is that there are some wrong settings which you have selected while importing the files in Lightroom.

  • CCM Catalog Mass upload problem

    Dear Experts,
    Could you please help me to find an answer to the below issue?
    We are doing a mass catalog upload in CCM 2.0 => we are uploading our CSV file as follows:
    Supplier ID A => Supplier name A =>  Item details A
    Supplier ID B => Supplier name B =>  Item details B
    etc.
    Usually, I give the first Supplier ID when creating the Supplier catalog.
    The upload process is working fine, BUT...
    When the catalog has been uploaded, from the Procurement Catalog side there is only the first "Supplier ID A" what's beeing uploaded to all of the items instead of all the other respective Supplier IDs.
    Therefore we have to change the rest of the Supplier IDs by mass changing the respective Proc Cat.
    Do you know how we could keep all the other Supplier IDs?

  • Catalog or file problem Lightroom 4

    I had to reload my entire system from a backup image. Now my catalog  is cutting off at the date of the backup image and many of the files show a question mark. The disk I use to store my images is intact but Lightroom is not getting to them. I can't seem to direct Lightroom to these images. Can someone help me straighten this out?

  • Multiple Libraries problem

    So I am trying to separate some of my images into different libraries to relieve some space on my hard drive. I tried to export an album as a new library to a Western Digital ext. HD, but I got an error message that said
    "The library could not be created because the file system of the destination volume is not supported."
    So I exported it to my mac's internal HD, then drag and dropped it into my Ext. drive and worked, but when I tried to switch to a different library in aperture (file, switch to library), I got the error message below.
    "Aperture cannot switch to the selected library because the file system of the library's volume is not supported."'
    Why is it doing this? How am I supposed to have multiple libraries if it won't export to an external drive?

    I agree with Michael, you just need to re-format to Mac OS Extended (journaled) using disc utility, be sure to back up first just incase you mess up....! It has been known

  • I think I have a shared libraries problem - but not sure...

    Ok - when I installed itunes on my computer and pointed it at where I keep my music on my computer, the software asked me something along the lines of "do I want to add all the files from all locations" - to which I said yes.  Unfortunately I didn't realise it would then grab all the music files from every computer on our home network (and my husband has LOADS of stuff I don't want!).
    So anyway -- I have all these tracks in my libraray - is there any way to take them off my libraary without having to go through and delete them all individually?  To effectively remove everything which isn't on *my* pc?
    I hope that makes sense - it is kindof difficult to explain!

    Ok I found a site that has a free version of this font and Font Agent Pro found nothing wrong wit it so I loaded it. And I then opened it and saved it as a pdf and then printed it from Acrobat with no problems and looks fine in Acrobat and Illustrator.

  • Shared libraries problem with jdev 11.1.1.5.

    Referencing the blog http://andrejusb.blogspot.ch/2010/07/deploying-adf-applications-as-shared.html,
    I created a shared library "SharedWebLibTest" who package several jar files into single WAR file and empty context root path is specified in WAR deployment profile.
    There are two client applications ("clientTEST1", "clientTEST2") that reference this library. Shared library reference is registered in weblogic.xml.
    The jdev version is 11.1.1.2. All works fine.
    From console, the 2 applications are displayed in the section "Applications that reference this Library" of SharedWebLibTest settings.
    Now I started to use jdev 11.1.1.5.
    Strange thing happens:
    From console--> settings for SharedWebLibTest, the list of applications that reference this Library is empty.
    But all client applications work normally.
    In application "clientTEST1", I move the library-ref from weblogic.xml to the weblogic-application.xml.
    From console, the application "clientTEST1" appears under "Applications that reference this Library".
    But there is a new problem: Context path conflict
    In the deployment of clientTEST1, I saw the message:
    Application Redeployed Successfully.+
    The following URL context root(s) were defined and can be used as a starting point to test your application:+
    http://localhost:7101/clientTEST1+
    SharedWebLibTest_+
    I did the same modification clientTEST2, deployment fails
    +An exception occurred for task [Deployer:149026]deploy application clientTEST2 on DefaultServer.:+*
    Context path '/SharedWebLibTest' is already in use by the module: SharedWebLibTest application: clientTEST1.*
    Some advices for this problem?

    Thanks for the reply. BUT the problem is not caused by "cashed info" in WSL.
    In jdev 11.1.1.5, Once I registered library-ref to "SharedWebLibTest" in weblogic-application.xml instead of weblogic.xml.
    I saw the message below during deployment

  • Merging Libraries Problem

    I get an error msg. when I try to import an altered library (w/various photo edits) on a portable drive back into the library on my desktop. The msg reads:" the library could not be imported b/c it is a duplicate of the library currently running". Please advise.

    Sounds like you are trying to synch 2 Libraries, which cannot be done. *A huge fault in Aperture that we cannot synch Libraries.* Go to Feedback while in Aperture and add your voice to so many of us that have complained. Apple's Filemaker, for instance, has been able to synch for 20 years!

  • Invalid path in folder - catalog problem

    In Lightroom 4.4 I get the indication in the folder pane of invalid paths. I have accidently deleted some directories outside of Lightroom in an effort to reorganize the structure. Lightroom freezes as soon as I move in the folder pane. I have to use ctr-alt-del to exit Lightroom. Deleting the preferences file does not help because when I open the old catalog the same problem occurs.
    I tried looking for the back-up catalog file, but that does not exist. The setting was to backup every time leaving Lightroom, but when the problems started, I renewed the preferences to do the backup once a day. Something did not work out, as it is no longer there. May be it replaces a backup file? I should have checked that.
    How can I solve the folder problem???
    When I create a new catalog, I assume I will have lost all the corrections and work I did on my files.
    Operating system windows 7 - 64 bits - 16 GB RAM Lightroom 4.4 No other applications open.

    Waiting did not solve the problem, but renaming the topfolder and
    restarting Lightroom. Creating a new topfolder and moving an old
    subfolder did work!
    To be sure I did copy the old folder.
    After restarting Lightroom, I had to import the newly copied subfolder.
    Everything was allright, except the history was gone, but the metadata,
    captions and keywords are still there.
    I recreated the first problem folder and could now delete the images
    with the wrong path. After that I could remove the folder by
    rightclickting.
    Now the other problemsubfolders could also be removed.
    Problem resolved. I am stil importing subfolders. Thank you very much!

  • 64-bit anyconnect on linux - problems with libraries

    we in the process of setting up Cisco Anyconenct for Linux 64-bit machines and are noticing some problems which seams to be related to the client not finding all libraries it expects. For example we got the issue that when connecting for the first time(no profile, ie no <ServerCertificateThumbprint>) the client find the Server Certificate no valid(which it is). We found out that the reson for that beeing Anyconnect was not properly using the nss-certstore for all operations. That was because the client cold not locate libnssckbi.so which was solved by:
    ln -s /usr/lib64/libnssckbi.so /home/user/.mozilla/firefox/smhi.default/libnssckbi.so
    Is there any other common librarie problems we should be aware of?
    We are running Redhat 6 desktop.

  • Catalog backup problems with PSE 11

    Hi,
    I'm having terrible problems trying to backup my catalog to an external hard drive.
    My PC is running Windows 7 with 8 GB of internal memory. My external hard drive is formatted to FAT 32 and has 130GB of spare capacity. My catalog is 45GB.
    I have previously backed up the the catalog without any problems but can't remember if I did this before I upgraded to PSE 11.
    I initially tried doing a full backup but got an error part way through writing the 'breeze' data. Having read that the breeze data was only used for face recognition, I deleted the remaining breeze data files and tried again.
    I then encountered a problem when writing some of my early .jpg files. I couldn't see any obvious problem with these but tried removing them and runnning the back up again.
    This time it got a bit further but hung up on some .mpg files.
    I removed all video files and tried again.
    This time it got up to over 60% complete but it then hung up on some early files which had a 'description' 2002 rather than a straight date name to the file. I thought that there might be a problem with file names including ' 's ', so removed these and tried again.
    I then tried running Catalog 'optimize' and 'repair' (I didn't tick 'the re-index visual similarity data').
    I eventually got up to over 65% complete but couldn't get the backup to go past my 2007 files no matter what files I removed.
    I then tried doing an incremental backup using a Catalog file that I had created in 2011. This backup failed with 'an error encountered while writing.....WaldoData\waldo.cache'
    I now don't know what to try! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    FYI, looking at the backup Catalog files that I have previously created, it appears that only the first contains all the images from whole catalog with an equal number of .xml files.
    Two others which I created (which I can't remember were full or incremental backups) only have some of the images. I'm sure that this can't be right.
    I presume that for an intial backup the .xml files should run from B0000001 to Bnnnnnnn; the .jpg/.mpg/ etc from Bnnnnnnn+1 to B 2(nnnnnnn) and that when one runs an incremental back up the new .xml files are added from B2(nnnnnnn)+1 to B2(nnnnnnnn)+(mmmm) and the image files continuing for a further (mmmm). Is this correct?
    Otherwise what should one be seeing?

    Thank you for your information about my problem with PSE 11. I have since tried the programme on 2 different computers and it works fine. Seems like the problem is with my computer although my old PSE 10 works okay. I'd appreciate any ideas about what could be wrong with my computer to cause my photos to break up into various segments which don't join together particularly when I move them into 'before and after horizontal' or '......vertical' and even when zooming them. ( HP Pavilion Elite) Vista Ultimate.

  • Current catalog is a backup catalog, is this a problem??

    Not sure how this happened but the catalog that I am currently downloading pictures to is a backup catalog.
    I think that I opened a back up catalog and then the next time I opened lightroom it opened the backup and did
    not realize I was in a backup catalog and continued to download pictures. By the way, I have lightroom 3.4.1.
    I have transfered lightroom catalog and all pictures to external hard drive with backup to a second hard drive and
    everything is there, but my catalog location is users/butler/pictures/lightroom/backup/2011-05-21 1935.
    If I open my main lightroom catalog it is missing tons of pictures but the backup file has everything. 
    Is this a problem and if so how do I fix it?? PLEASE HELP, frustrated and confused!!

    Yes, you have a potential problem when your working catalog is also the backup catalog. The problem is that now you don't have a backup.
    You have to make sure that the locations for the working catalog and the backup catalog are NOT identical.
    The location of your working catalog is displayed in > Edit >Catalog Settings >General Tab.
    The location of your backup catalog is displayed in the backup dialog that comes up when you close LR ; to make sure that the backup dialog appears select <Every Time LR Exits> in >Catalog Settings >General Tab.
    I've had this problem and solved it as follows:
    In your backup catalog select the location where your working catalog should be and make the backup. After this you have 2 identical catalogs in 2 different locations. In your OS (with LR still closed) navigate to the just created working catalog and double-click it. LR opens then with this catalog.
    Don't forget that next time LR closes and the backup dialog comes up you have to change the backup location to where the backup should be.
    Alternate procedure: In the Library Module (Grid Mode) >Catalog Panel select <All Photographs> or whatever the name of your main catalog is.
    Select >File >Export as Catalog and select the location where your main catalog should be.
    To prevent the problem from happening it is worthwile to ckeck occasionally in >Catalog Settings >General Tab that the working catalog is where it should be; and also to ckeck the location of the backup in the backup catalog.

    I have already written application which use javax.comm library and derby database.
    Additionally I need jre and of course all this libraries (javax.comm and derby) must be appropriate installed in jre catalogs.
    The problem is: How can I gather all of this things with my application and build one package which anybody could install it without any problem and my application will work????

    Ok, explain me one more thing.
    For example I found an installer that I think would satisfy my needs.
    Installation process just finished install jre, and than it must install additional libraries to the defined directories, can I define intallation process in such a way that first jre must be installed and second all additional libraries in appropriate jre directories and it must be only in this order?
    Installator must way for jre completed installation and then run other packages, could it wait????
