Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L PoE only on specific ports not working
Hi,
we have Catalyst 2960S-LPS-L (48 Ports) here which in general works fine.
If i connect a Cisco Access Point (2602), it´s powered up via PoE, but on some ports this is not working; it just doesn´t power up. The port configuration is exactly the same. I rebooted the switch, but still the same.
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? Is it possible, that the PoE capability on some ports is just broken?

Sending SMS with Simplewire SDK to a specific port, not working
Hi,
I guess most ppls are familiar with the simplewire SDK. I tried sending SMS to a port on my number thru the SimpleWire SDK but I guess it is not delivering the the apt port.
The reason is quite simple:
I tired sending to the same port on the same phone thru the java wireless API on the same phone and the midlet picked up the SMS.
Anytime I send thru the Simplewire SDK, it comes to the phone (though my ringtone never rings, which suggest it may not going to the default port), but my midlet never picks.
I am suspectign the mode of settin the port may be faulty. Here is my settings

When I click PDF file, the file does not open and installation software for creative suite automatically begin to start. Even after re-installation of creative suite 5.5, only acrobat reader dose not work and the same phenomena occurs.
Did you ever install Acrobat? It is not installed automatically with CS, but requires an extra installation step.

First, try to reset by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again.

How to access servlet only via specific port?
Hi all,
I have an app with 2 servlets, I want each servlet to be accessible via a different port.
so I open HTTP on my web server, on port 80 and 18080, but now BOTH servlets are available via BOTH ports.
how can I make sure that servlet 1 is accessible only via port 80, and servlet2 is only accessible via port 18080?

Cisco Catalyst 4507R+E with WS-X4748 blade, ports not working
I have a Cisco Catalyst 4507R+E (with Sup7-E) and two blades; one WS-X4748-RJ45V+E and one WS-X4648-RJ45-E.
When I connect a device to a port on the WS-X4748-RJ45V+E blade the port will not come up, show interface shows the status as "notconnect". When I connect the same device to the WS-X4648-RJ45-E blade the interface comes up.
The WS-X4748-RJ45V+E blade seems to have initialised okay, it appears in the output of "show module" as OK.
I get exactly the same effect on a second, identically configured Catalyst 4507R+E.
The software version is IOS XE 3.1.0SG, which according to the release notes supports the WS-X4748-RJ45V+E blade. Has anybody else seen anything like this?I have 2 Core switches, single SUP on each.
Line cards #1 and #2 randomly stop forwarding packets, only solution is to reload the switch ( hw-module reset does not work ). I have cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.05.00.E.152-1.E.bin and the sympton looks the same as the described one,
although the code is newer than 3.2.2SG.
Now we are downgrading to cat4500e-universalk9.SPA.03.04.02.SG.151-2.SG2.bin to check if that solves the issue,
otherwise we´ll try removing/re-inserting the modules, and if issue persists, most probably RMA the Core1.
We´ve sent a show tech to Cisco support while the issue was happening.

So this has been happening for months now. I was expecting iOS 5 to fix it, but it hasn't. Push notifications for specific apps do not work. Some come through just fine, but Facebook and Google+ in particular don't work correctly. Facebook push notifications seem to work when the notification is generated from an action performed on a mobile device (ie: someone writes on my wall from another iPhone); if they do the same thing on the desktop, the notification doesn't seem to come through.
As for Google+, I've never seen a single push notification come through as it should, even though I've seen other iPhones with the same app reciving these notifications with no issue.
This is particularly strange because the badge on the app icon usually updates (though it feels like fetch, not push), but the notifications simply don't make it into the notification center (or on the lock screen as they should). As I said, this has been happening for months, long before iOS 5, and the problem has persisted now that I'm running iOS 5.
I've checked and rechecked all notifiation settings for these apps. I've uninstalled and reinstalled them. I've called Apple support and they couldn't offer me any help. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
Thanks for your time.I got an iPhone 4s and I'm experiencing the same problems. I used facebook messenger, and used to get the push notifications to that app, but now that i've deleted it I no longer get the messages directly to the facebook app.
I have push on in the mail settings and notification center for facebook are on as well. I also have push notifications on in the settings for facebook.
I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, no fix. I haven't tried a hard reset yet.
So far, I figured out that it's not iOS or the facebook app, somehow it is a problem with my account. I logged into my wife's account on my iphone and her account is able to recieve push notifications to my iphone.
Any thoughts? -
Oracle Drive specific features not working
I have set up Oracle Drive against two 10gR2 instances. Both of them fail with different messages.
There are no issues with MS Web Folders, also most of this functionality works in Oracle Drive.
When I try to use Drive specific functionality like "set properties", this fails with following messages.
1. One of them fails with HTTP-404 after using machine name in the URL as opposed to using Virtual Host name
2. Second one fails with similar error message but this is missing virtual host name or server name in the URL.
I can't find any Oracle Drive logs to debug. So, my questions are ..
1. how can I debug Oracle debug?
2. Does Oracle drive support virtual host?
3. If so, why is the above behaviour
Users are keen to use Oracle Drive. So, any help (ASAP) would be appreciated.

0) Bye the way one of the servers works now after recent portal repository copy (ptlconfig was run as part of it)
1) I tested view page, access control and set properties options. All of these fail.
2) I was looking for log files in the wrong place. Found them now and from the logs, it looks like one of the sites is not getting proper values for OPTIONS query.

You can seee from the logs that URLs constructed for 2nd one is in complete. Any ideas on fixing this?

"Values only from infoprovider" setting not working
Hey Guys,
I am on 2004s backend and 3.5 frontend. I need to restrict values of a characteristic on F4 and report only to infoprovider values. I know there is a straight setting in Info-object maintenance screen where you can specify in Bex tab, Only values from Infoprovider.
But unfortunately its not working for me. Even after doing this setting, I continue to get values from master data table on F4 screen.
What could be missing?
Please note that my info-object on which I am applying this setting also has a compounding characterstic, which makes 2 values as key to appear on selection screen.
Any suggestions/advice would be of great help.

AbhijitBTW, the firmware was run and the keyboard AND audio did work prior to and after the firmware update. It just suddenly stopped.

Why is Podcast specification is not working as described, in iTunes?
I have created a podcast as per the latest podcast specifications mentioned in
http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html
But not everything works, as expected.
1) The "Artist" column is displaying "Unknown" even though, the <itunes:author> tag has a value in it.
2) Keyword search is not working. When I perform a search based on the keywords mentioned in the <itunes:keywords> tag, my podcast is not showing up in the search results. Does iTunes search engine take a few days to index these keywords with the podcast?
3) The image is not showing up, even though I have specified an image in the <itunes:image> tag. And the spec says that it takes a few days before the image appears. Approximately how long does it take for the image to appear in iTunes, after a Podcast is submitted on it?
In general does it take iTunes some time before it shows certain content for a podcast? Because, all of these things work in other podcatchers (for e.g Yahoo podcatcher), but they dont work as expected in iTunes.

iTunes search and update is affected by the phase of
the moon so no one really knows. Key words need to
have commas but even then it doesn't seem to work
most of the time.
I still need to know why certain columns are not being populated correctly, for example the Artist appears as unknown even though I have supplied a value in <itunes:author> tag. And there are many other issues. -
About 2 weeks ago all my USB ports stopped working except 1 on the front. They all power my hub but my USB mouse and keyboard do not work. Only if I plug Hub into the one port that works will my mouse and keyboard work.

Only values in InfoProvider not working for ODS
Hi,
I'm on BEx 3.5 and I'm trying to use a variable in a query on an ODS. The InfoObject is set to "Only Values in InfoProvider" in RSD1 in the Query Execution Filter Val Selectn entry. The same setting has also been done in the ODS InfoObject specific properties for that InfoObject.
In spite of this, whenever I run the query and press F4, it shows all the values in the master data table of the InfoObject.
I've run it in BEx, and also in RSRT after deleting the cache. Nothing works.
Any ideas how I could proceed to fix this.

Thanks for the note, it does explain this behaviour.
But that in turn begs the question of what is the point of allowing the option of ODS-specific properties of InfoObjects if an ODS can fetch F4 help only from the master data table!

Reboot at a specific time not working in Yosemite?
Since moving a couple of our servers to Yosemite I have been unable to get them to actually reboot at a specific time as requested via System Preferences > Energy Saver > Schedule.
10.9 servers reboot on their own fine. 10.10 has required a manual reboot since installing it on two late silver model Mac Pros and on one Mac Mini Server.
