Catalyst 3750G Problem

i've 2 Catalyst's 3750G in stack in core of the network.
i connected PC with Sniffer to one of the port and can see traffic from all others ports - ISA server connected to other port and i can see requests to ISA server from all clients PCs.
How to explain it and fix it?

Further investigation gave more detailed information. We have Microsoft cluster consisted of 2 servers which connected to 2 ports. They have one mac-address and that mac-address is absent in mac-address-table. I tryed to add static entries to table -
arp 10.20.0.1 02bf.0a14.0001 ARPA GigabitEthernet2/0/20
arp 10.20.0.1 02bf.0a14.0001 ARPA GigabitEthernet2/0/11
But it didn't help...
How to resolve it?

  • Upgrade of Cisco Catalyst 3750G 24T

    Hi,
I want to upgarde a Cisco Catalyst 3750G 24T because I can't see the web interface.
I checked the documentation and see a lot of videos on the net.
I downloaded the new firmware c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE9.bin
I downloaded a tftp software and putted my ip adress on it.
I connected the Cisco by console and launched Putty by serial.
I sended en for grant my right access.
    I sended my password
    and tapped :
    copy tftp: flash:
it asks TFTP Ip, i gave it
    10.0.0.45
    file name
    i gave it
    c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE9.bin
and after It sended me when it must put it and i sended the same name.
    c3750-ipbasek9-mz.122-55.SE9.bin
And then It works few seconds and the cisco says error ... time out.
I've tested with W8, W7 and a lot of tftp server. I disabled my firewall.
The password is the default password. It is a problem ?
    Can you help me ?
    Thanks
    Nicolas

Copying only the BIN files into the appliance will NOT help.  You still won't be able to use the web interface.
You need to download the full IOS, the filename ends with TAR.   To unpack the file into your appliance you use the command "archive download-sw tftp://<TFTP IP address>/filename.tar".

    Hi,
Help me, how I can force to Catalyst 3750G to work like SLAVE, I can't find the command..

    Hello Friend
You have to set the slave switch's priority to be lower than the master switch.
    3750-Stk>show switch

Switch# Role Mac Address Priority State
    1 Slave 0016.4748.dc80 1 Ready

  • Does Catalyst 3750G have IPv4-IPv6 translation feature ?

we developed an application with IPv4 and it is being put on IPv6 based network to talk to the client application.  We have Catalyst 3750G and want to enable IPv4-IPv6 translation.  Does 3750G have such feature ?  If yes, how can we use it ?

I think not. Routers have that capability
When enabling communications between IPv4 <-> IPv6 you need v4-v6 Tunnels and/or translations(NAT) w/c can only be done in routers

    Hi Kali ,
Size only matters when compare both the switches.

  • EEM Scripts on a Catalyst 3750G

Does anyone know if I can run EEM scripts on a Catalyst 3750G switch? If so, what version of IOS do I need to make it work?
    Thanks!

    Joseph,
I want to create a simple EEM script on a Catalyst 3750G running ipservices IOS on it. All I want to do is monitor interfaces GigabitEthernet 1/0/3 and GigabitEthernet 1/0/4. If either of these interfaces go down, I wan the EEM script to shutdown interface GigabitEthernet 1/0/26. Here is what I put together so far. I haven't tried it yet, but do you think this will work?
    Thanks!
event manager session cli username "root"
    event manager applet Stop_Announcing_BGP
event syslog pattern "Interface GigabitEthernet1/0/3, changed state to down"
event syslog pattern "Interface GigabitEthernet1/0/4, changed state to down"
    action 1.0 cli command "enable"
action 1.1 cli command "configure terminal"
action 1.2 cli command "interface gig1/0/26"
    action 1.3 cli command "shut"

  • Catalyst 3750G-12S-E upgrade latest IOS images

    Hi to all,
I've a question regarding the Upgrade to the latest IOS image since this 3750G model is one of the latest which have on-board only 16MB of Flash...
I've seen that latest IOS .tar images with SSH and Web Device are about 15.5MB or more, so I've tried to install one of these with archive /overwrite feature without succeeding...then tried to free up all the flash space needed but I've had the same problem!!!
How should I proceed??? Are this image only for other 3750models????
    Thx
    Omar

I ran into this same problem on my 3750G switches. Use the lm image for the switch and use Cisco's Network Assistant for managment or go command line.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_network_assistant/version5_0/release/notes/OL12210a.html#wp670016
Catalyst 3750 or 3560 switches with a 16-MB flash memory can experience problems due to flash memory constraints, especially if they are using larger size images, such as c3750-ipservicesk9-tar, c3560-ipservicesk9-tar, c3750-ipbasek9-tar. or c3750-ipbasek9-tar images. These are the affected switches:
    Catalyst 3560: WS-C3560-24PS and WS-C3560-48PS
    Catalyst3750: WS-C3750-24PS, WS-C3750-24TS, WS-C3750-48PS, WS-C3750-48TS, WS-3750G-24T, WS-C3750G-12S , WS-C3750G-24WS, WS-C3750G-24TS, WS-C3750G-16TD
The workaround for these switches is to use the corresponding lm images, such as the c3750-ipserviceslmk9-tar or c3560-ipserviceslmk9-tar images, which require less memory. In future releases, images are expected to grow more in size, requiring more need for the lm images.

  • Catalyst driver problem: Low resolution

    Hey
I just installed the catalyst driver for my Mobility Radeon HD 3650, I'd been using the radeonhd driver before. With the radeonhd driver, i could use 1680x1050 which is the maximal resolution for my monitor but with catalyst, the highest I can use is 1280x800. My login screen has good resolution, but once im logged in it drops back to 1280x800. Anyone know what I could try? I searched the forums but couldn't really find anything.
    I'm running arch i868 on a Thinkpad T500.
    Thanks

  • [SOLVED] ATI Driver Catalyst installation problems.

I am having real trouble installing the official catalyst drivers. I followed both these guides with noavail. http://www.neuraladvance.com/installing … linux.html and http://www.ramblgyrl.com/2014/11/instal … rch-linux/.
When I finish installing it just holds at the end of the boot cycle with no error I can only TTY into the system. Im not really sure what outputs you require but ill post a lspci.

So I've been playing around. I have found other forum posts referring to my problem ( [link] https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=141130 [/link] ). I tried to install the drivers form the zip directly from the ATI website. I recieved this log file from the installer:
    Supported adapter detected.
    Detected a previous installation, /usr/share/ati/amd-uninstall.sh
Dryrun uninstall succeeded continuing with installation.
Check if system has the tools required for installation.
    Uninstalling any previously installed drivers.
Forcing uninstall of AMD Catalyst(TM) Proprietary Driver.
    No integrity verification is done.
    restore of system environment completed
    Uninstall fglrx driver complete.
For detailed log of uninstall, please see /etc/ati/fglrx-uninstall.log
System must be rebooted to avoid system instability and potential data loss.
    /usr/share/ati/amd-uninstall.sh completed with 0

7741440 bytes total (2480640 bytes free)
When I try to delete the old file (c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-14.EA1a.bin), I receive a message that the No such file or directory exists. There is no typo when I entered the filename. Also, there seems to be a discrepancy in what free bytes are being shown as available. The system shows 2480640 free bytes, but by my calculations, there should be 4778425 bytes available. Are they files that are hidden and why can I not delete the other file? Thanks.

    Hi,
Are you able to dlete any other file except this from the flash. This could be a problem in accessing the flash properly. I would suggest try formatting the flash:, this will make the flash sectors empty and will be as a new scratched one. This should help in uploading the new IOS.
***** Please make sure that the switch doesnot reboot at while while you format the switch and upgrade the IOS as the switch will fall in rommon with any image.

  • Connect Nexus 5548UP-L3 to Catalyst 3750G-24T-E Layer 3 Switch

    Please help!
Could anyone out there please assist me with basic configuration between Nexus Switch and Catalyst Switch, so that devices connected on the catalyst switch can talk to devices connected on nexus switch and vice-versa? In my current setup all servers on VLAN 40 are connected on the Catalyst Switch A as shown in the diagram below, and all desktops and all other peripherals are connected on the Catalyst Switch B.  I am required to implement/add a new Nexus Switch 5548 that in the future will replace the Switch A. From now I just need to connect both switches together and start moving the server from Switch A to the Nexus Switch.
The current network setup is shown as per diagram below:
SWITCH A – this is a layer 3 switch. All servers are connected to this switch on the VLAN 40.
SWITCH B – all desktops, VoIP telephones, and printers are connected on tis switch. This switch is also a layer 3 switch.
I have connected together the Nexus 5548UP and SWITCH A (3750G) using the GLC-T= 1000BASE-T SFP transceiver module for Category 5 copper wire. The new network is shown as per diagram below:
Below is the configuration I have created in both Switches:
    SWITCH A - 3750G

    no, no secret aukhadiev
I made a mistake without realising and the interface e1/3 was showing "Interface Ethernet1/3 is down (Inactive)". After spending sometime trying to figure out what was wrong with that interface or switch, it turned out to be that i forgot to add the vlan 40. Now the config looks like this:

  • Catalyst 2960 Problem with Cisco SPA512

    Hi there,
I hope someone can help me.
I don't have much experience with switches, I'm doing the desktop support in our company.
We have Catalyst 4510 R+E to 2 Catalyst 2960 switches and seperate VLAN's for IP Phones and for Internet in one part of our office.
Now I'm running into trouble with some IP Phones that are connected to the 2960 switches. It appears only to happen with Cisco's SPA-512. I've tried FW 7.5.2, 7.5.5 and 7.5.5b. These phones sporadically drop the call / connection, with the red MIC button blinking. Based on my research this means that it looses Internet connection. I have 1 SPA512 with FW 7.5.1 that does not show these symptoms.
I have other phones SPA942 and Polycom IP335 in the same area behind the same switches and no issues.
We've tried to disable auto negotiate and set a fixed transmition rate or either 1Gbps and 100Mbps, both without success.
I also have SPA512 in other areas of the office just connected to our Catalyst 4510 R+E and they work just fine. That's why I don't believe it has anything to do with the 4510, but I can be wrong.
That's all I have for you guys. Hope someone can help me to fix / troubleshoot this..
    Frank

  • 2 catalyst 3750G interVLAN ios 12.1

    Hello,
I got a step by step guide on how to interVlan this 2 switches but I am running into a problem.
when I create the VLAN ID 1058 (set by isp) it does not show up in my show vlan. therefore I cannot assign ports to it. if I create a VLAN ID 300, it shows up and I am able to continue my installation. Does this switch support extended vlan ID or am I missing something extra.
    thanks

    Hi,
Extended Vlans are supported on 3750. You have disable VTP on the switch or to set it up to trasparent mode before setting up the extended range vlans on it.
    conf t
    vtp mode transparent.

  • 100BaseFX and Cisco Catalyst 3750G

    Hi,
I need some help, I have a factory plant running some IE 3000 and Rockwell Stratix 8000 with GLC-FE-100FX-RGD transceiver to some older switches I need to replace the idea is to use Cisco 3750G, I saw in the Cisco 3750G datasheet a GLC-GE-100FX= transceiver would they work together point-to-point? what sort of connector do they use are they LC also?
The idea is to use 100BaseFX MM because of the costs, distance (800M) and the bandwith being light.
    Thank You

The GLC-GE-100FX= and the GLC-FE-100FX-RGD SFPs have the same optical performance specifications, so they will interoperate across a link.  The RGD SFP has a higher operating temperature range for industrial applications (per data sheet), where the IE 3000 is typically installed.
    Hope this helps!

  • Catalyst 2950 problem

cisco Switch 2950 showing problem while connecting with other device(Packetwave bridge 100) or switch(Dlink)
    Output of uplink port is:
    %SPANTREE-7-RECV_1Q_NON_TRUNK: Received 802.1Q BPDU on non trunk FastEthernet0/22 VLAN1.
    00:20:54: %SPANTREE-7-BLOCK_PORT_TYPE: Blocking FastEthernet0/22 on VLAN0001. Inconsistent port type

The message means that a Spanning tree BPDU was received with a dot1q tag on a port that is not configured as a trunk.
This means that either the port is not configured as a trunk and should be, or that the connecting device is configured as a trunk and should not be.
The second syslog message indicates that the port is being blocked due to the inconsistency as described above.
