Catalyst 5000 + Supervisor I or II- what can it do?

Hello all-
apologies for the vagueness of this one, but I've been gifted an old but serviceable Catalyst 5000 switch. The only switching module installed is an Ethernet switching module with (IIRC, I'm not in front of it right now) 16 10/100 ports.
But it does have either a Supervisor I or II module. I'm given to believe from the peron who gave me it (who, incidentally, just used it as a glorified access switch) that this combination can do L3 routing. However, it seems that most information on this has long been deprectaed from the Cisco website, and, for once, Google is not my friend.
Can anyone recall what this device can do? Does it, for example, know about dot1q trunking, which would be very useful in my lab environment? Any kind of CoS/Qos? And is the Supervisor going to act as an L3 device for me (again, would be very useful)?

Those are layer 2 switches unless you have a layer 3 RSM card to go with it . The capabilities depends on the line cards , you can see what they are capable of by doing a "show port capabilities command . I doubt they have much QOS capability and you would have to have the last catos issued to get the most up to date capabilities. Unless you have the separate RSM card it is L2 only..

These alerts occur due to timeouts or conflicts trying to write a file during download.
If you encounter this issue while accessing iTunes Store:

Delete your iTunes Downloads folder, located in:

   ~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Downloads   Note: "iTunes Media" may appear as "iTunes Music. Also, the tilde (~) refers to your Home directory.

   \Users\username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Downloads\

Windows XP:

After locating your iTunes Downloads folder:
Quit iTunes.
   2.Delete the Downloads folder on your computer.
   3.Open iTunes.
   4.Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
   5.Enter your account name and password.
If you encounter this issue while while downloading Digital Copies using Windows:
Use MSCONFIG (directions for Windows XP and Windows Vista/Windows 7) to disable conflicting software.
If using MSCONFIG steps resolves the issue, you may want to use the System Configuration Utility to turn on the third-party System Services and Startup Items one at a time (restarting your computer after turning on the item or items) to identify which System Service or Startup Item is causing the conflict.
You can turn all of them back on by selecting the Normal Startup option under the General tab of the System Configuration Utility window, but please note that this may cause the issue to reoccur.
If you are able to isolate the issue to a particular third-party software, you may wish to contact them to let them know of the conflict.

Upgrade Catalyst 4500 Supervisor Engine 8-E(IOS XE Software)

Folks,
We are looking to upgrade the Catalyst 4500 Supervisor Engine 8-E(IOS XE Software). As of now we are running on 3.3.1XO and as per the Cisco notes version 3.3.2XO which is suggested version.
I would like to find some comparison documents on both these version and establish if there is a need to do the upgrade. What are the fixes that have been done in this version.

Please find release notes of version 3.3.2XO below which can provide you the details to upgrade.
Mainly you need to refer the features it supports and resolved cavets (which means the bugs resolved fro the earlier version on to this.).

Did you try any other browser? is it hosted on Business catalyst? If yes and if you are using custom domain, then login to admin panel using system domain (mysite.businesscatalyst.com) and then try to delete.

Catalyst 5000 and 5505: Same backplane?

Fellow switch folk,
I'm curious about the nature of the backplane in the Catalyst 5000 and 5505. Specifically: Is it the same backplane, with the difference between the two being mainly in the supervisor engine?
To put this another way: I know using a Supervisor III in a 5505 enables 3.6Gb worth of crosspoint backbone fabric. Would the same thing happen if I replaced a Supervisor II in a Cat-5000 (five-slot)chassis with a Supervisor III?

Well, that kind of helped... It showed me the differences between the 5500 series when using the two different supervisor engines.
However, it made no reference at all to the basic 5000 chassis, and it didn't answer my question about the backplane itself at all.

What can I install on a external drive ?

my MacIntosh HD has a
capacity of 9.54 GB.
Used: 8.7 GB
Available: 860 MB
I cannot change the 8.7 GB ; they are all technical folders (System Folder, Applications, etc.) Only 233MB are personals
I want to install a film scanner too --Nikon supercoolscan 5000 ED-- (it needs 200MB to install, 550 MB to run, not to mention 512 of RAM). I cannot install it elsewhere than on the HD. I see in the manual that the install location is the folder "Applications" on the disc Macintosh HD. There is no other button.
I also have a flatbed scanner (Epson) And I still didn't install my 2 printers. (one is a photo printer, the other for texts, etc)
I cannot put all these on the HD.
I do have a 300GB external drive. What can I put there ?

I should add that, as the previous replies have suggested but not come right out and said, you are already in an "emergency" situation with respect to hard drive space. Instead of adding anything more to your drive, you need to back up everything that isn't already backed up so that if your Mac starts misbehaving badly (as it might at any moment) due to inadequate free space, you won't lose anything important. As soon as you've got a new internal drive in place (your G4 probably has space for a second internal drive), transfer everything from the 10GB drive to it, and use a partition on your 300GB external drive (sized to match the new drive) as a backup for the new one.
The 10GB drive, emptied of its current contents, would make a good scratch drive for Photoshop and any other apps you use that allow you to choose a scratch drive or location for other temporary files.
Regarding your other current thread in this forum, about CD/DVD burning: even if you had a working external CD burner now, you wouldn't be able to burn a CD (let alone a DVD) with as little available HD space as you have.

Isnt it odd that a Cat5000 fan assembly is named WS-C5509-FAN. Check with your reseller if he has return policies. In case its not the right fan, you should be able to return it.

Content Advisor is set to "disable" by default. The Administrator has to change this. If you have this privilege, then:
Click to open Internet Explorer.
Click the Tools button, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Content tab, and then, under Content Advisor, click Enable. If you've previously enabled Content Advisor, click Settings, and then type the supervisor password.
Click a category of content in the list, and then move the slider to set the limits you want. Repeat this for each category you want to change.
Click OK.
If a supervisor password has not previously been set up for Content Advisor, you will be prompted to create one.

1. Search table Z100
Select all records where
Status (Z100-ZSTATUS) = G
Date (Z100-ZDATE ) = current month minus 1

Select Z100-MATNR
List Z100-MATNR and ZTOTPR
2. Then, for each MATNR, list all equipment records where

List Material (EQUI-MATNR)
WBS (EQBS-PS_PSP_PNR)
UID (EQUI-UIINR)
Serial Number (EQUI-SERNR)
3. Then compare the equipment record WBS (EQBS-PS_PSP_PNR) to the Contract Line Item WBS (VBAP-PS_PSP_PNR)
From VBAP, select the Sales Document (VBAP-VBELN) and Contract Line Item (VBAP-POSNR)
4. Then compare the Sales Document on VBAP (VBAP-VBELN) to the Sales Document on VBAK (VBAK-VBELN).

Hi,
The functional design is very detailed and has covered almost the technical part as well. I dont think you need to add anything more. If you need to add anything then it would probably be the Selects statements. But i dont think they are required.
But once you collect the data in internal table, what should be done. Should it be sent to smartform/script or a report output should be displayed. Or are any tables to be updated.If so, then specify the same.

First you can try;
Try restarting PC and run itunes again!
If error again than perform clean instal of itunes (uninstal first and than instal again)!

THANKS for your prompt reply Bluetooth is off in my laptop and IPhone.. and in fact the reset is the only thing that can make it back to normal. But for a lil while. I wonder if it is the touch, or the home botton... both things are very expensive to replace, so I wouldn't like to spend $$ and continue having the prob.....
