Dear All,
I have tried to update my ipad from ios 4.2.1 to ios 4.3.3 but this time itunes return me an error: "this device is not eligible". Now my ipad is not working (black screen, always in DFU mode).
My mac is up to date (same for itunes)

"This device cannot start" with SoundBlater M
I purchased a SoundBlaster MP3+ external sound card for my laptop, since my onboard one is dead. When plugging it in to my computer, it recongizes it as a USB Composite Device. But, it tells me that that a problem occured with installation, this device may not work properly. In the deci've manager, it shows up in the USB controllers with an exclimation mark, which it telling me "This device cannot start. (Code 0)."
I cannot figure out why this is doing this. I plugged it in 2 other computers, desktop, and laptop, and it worked fine, without any error. It is just this laptop that is doing this.
Any help would be appreciated.I have the same exact problem on my Dell Inspiron 8600 running WinXPProSP2.
When I connect the USB SB MP3+, Windows goes through the usual contortions to recognize the device... Found New Hardware: USB Audio -> Found New Hardware: USB Composite Device -> Error: "A problem occurred during hardware installation" message and then a few seconds later, "A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port" message flashes by.
When I go to ControlPanel.System.Hardware.DeviceManager.Uni'ver salSerialBusControllers" I see a new "USB Composite Device" entry highlighted with yellow exclamation (!). When I open that entry, the Device Status indicates: "This device cannot start. (Code 0)".
There's no further explanation anywhere of what Code 0 means. Trying to uninstall/reinstall driver per Windows Troubleshooter suggestions doesn't help. Unplugging device and pluggin in again doesn't help. Rebooting with device plugged to computer doesn't help. Installing Creative's drivers for device doesn't help.

Just tried to connect my I-Pad to my new I-mac and the I-Pad starts flashing with trust this computer, but it is too fast to catch and on the computer it says cannot connect to this I-phone....Computer then freezes and i have to do a force close...

ThinkPad X230 - Test Instrument: "This device cannot find free resources that it can use (Code12)"
I am use an ExpressCard (http://www.home.agilent.com/en/pd-2053520-pn-M9045B/pcie-expresscard-adapter) to connect Lenovo notebook with instrument chassis (http://www.home.agilent.com/en/pd-1886666-pn-M9018A/18-slot-pxie-chassis).
I found that Lenovo notebook failed to enumerate with the instruments with error "This device cannot find free resources that it can use (Code12)" in device manager.
This never happened in Lenovo model ThinkPad X220 and models before that.
Other affected model: ThinkPad T430, T540p which all failed to enumerate.
Note: All notebooks are upgraded to latest BIOS.You are going to need to move that card to another slot. That is definitely your problem. I had mine in the PCI-E X8 slot which then knocked my video card down to x8 as well. So this definitely takes up resources. Also you can use something like EVEREST of Sisoft Sandra and those will tell you what else is sharing with that card. You could have a difficult network card that is fighting with it as well. You may think that its onboard and that of course it would not fight, but it does.

iTunes 11.1.4, and iOS 7.0.4. - My iPhone 4 is popping up with "do you trust this computer?" Message, and will no longer sync to iTunes. My device when plugged in just won't sync, and I litteraly do not know what to do... Someone please help me!?
I did know that it was a new feature, but it made no difference, it wasn't synching. I did however find a post that completely helped me!! Link below.

My iphone 5 with ios 7 stopped promting me to "trust this computer" 1 day ago after doing it everytime i plugged it in to a USB port on my work laptop. It will now no longer charge from any of the USB ports. The USB ports work fine on the laptop for other devices and my phone will prompt me and charge at any other computer in my office. I possibly hit do not trust by accident which may have caused this. I reset all settings on the phone and rebooted my laptop and none of this fixed the issue. Phone syncs and charges fine at home and there were no issues with my work laptop up until 2 days ago with prompts or charging. Any ideas??

'Till some days ago I had a Windows Vista pc and when I connected the iphone, it was recognized.
Yesterday I decided to change my SO in Linux Ubuntu 13.04 but now my iphone isn't recognized and I'm not able to use it.
This message appears on my iphone
"Trust This Computer? Your settings and data will be accessible from this computer when connected via USB or Wi-Fi. [Trust] [Don't Trust]"
I clicked Trust but the iphone buzzes twice, then repeats the prompt. This will repeat endlessly.
I read a lot about the bug, but is there any solutions waiting for the resolution of bug?

Follow these steps to resolve your issue for iPads
Troubleshooting time is about 30 minutes - 1 hour
Step 1
Unplug the usb 2.0 cord from the 27 in iMac and iPad 2 64 GB (or what ever version you have) Power down the iPad
Step 2
Select your HD (Hard Drive) ( I did this form my desk top)
Next select the applications folder, Next right click the iTunes icon and select show package contents, select Contents.
1. Next select info.plist, right click and select move to trash (A message should appear Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this)(Enter your password) Select ok, (This moves the file to the trash).
2. Next select pkginfo, right click and select move to trash. (A message should appear Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this)(Enter your password) Select ok, (This moves the file to the trash).
3. Next Select version.plist, right click and select move to trash (A message should appear Finder wants to make changes. Type your password to allow this)(Enter your password) Select ok, (This moves the file to the trash).
4. Remove "iTunes" from your dock
5. From the Finder, choose Go > Go to folder.
6. Type the following and then press Return: /var/db/lockdown
7. Choose View > as Icons.
8. The Finder window should display one or more files with long alphanumeric file names.
9. In the Finder, choose Edit > Select all. Then, choose File > Move to Trash. Enter an administrator password if prompted. Note: Do not delete the Lockdown folder itself.
Delete only the files contained inside the Lockdown folder.
Step 3
Follow the below steps to troubleshoot the issue.
1. In Finder, click the Go menu and then choose Go to Folder. Enter the following location into the text field that appears: /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
2. Click Go.
3. Locate the file "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig" and drag it to the Trash. (Do not move the similarly named "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist" file to the Trash.) If you DO NOT HAVE file "com.apple.usbmuxd.plist~orig" I DELETED THE FOLLOWING (com.apple.usb.plist)
4. In the Finder, locate iTunes in the Applications folder and drag it to the Trash. (This will not remove any of your iTunes media or your iTunes library.) You may be presented with the following message “iTunes” can’t be modified or deleted because it’s required by OS X.) Do not worry click ok and proceed troubleshooting
5. Choose Go > Go to Folder. Enter the following location into the text field that appears: /System/Library/Extensions
6. Click Go.
7. Locate the file "AppleMobileDevice.kext" and drag it to the Trash.
8. In Finder, click the Go menu and then choose Go to Folder. Enter the following location into the text field that appears: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks
9. Click Go.
10. Locate the folder "MobileDevice.framework" and drag it to the Trash.
11. In Finder, click the Go menu and then choose Go to Folder. Enter the following location into the text field that appears: /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
12. Click Go.
Step 4
Goto your hard drive in the finder
1. Goto Library
2. Goto Launch Daemons
3. Throw this in the trash: com.ghughes.wifisync.root.plist and anything with the words iTunes
4. Goto Library
5. Goto Application Support
6. Throw this in the trash: Wi-Fi Sync (it's an entire folder) and anything with iTunes
Step 5
(Before restart book mark the link command and D). Restart the Mac.
Download iTunes and reinstall it. After the install, connect the 2.0 usb device to the iPad 2 while the unit is still powered off, next connect the 2.0 usb cord to iTunes, power the iPad on. iTunes will read the device and ask to trust device, select continue. Backup the iPad device to the 27 in iMac.
Step 6

I have two Apple IDs because i travel frequently between Mexico and the US, and the apple stores offer different products, so i like to download music, movies and TV series from both sites.
Apparently apple changed the conditions, becauise until a few days ago i could log our from one account and log in from my other one. Yesterday i was at Miami International Airport and wanted to download a few chapters from one of my TV series (Walking Dead) to watch on my way to Mexico City, but a pop up window came up saying "this device is already associated with an apple id". Curoiously, the ID to which i was connected to was precisely the one under which i had bought weeks ago the chapters i was wanting to download from the cloud. So it says i have to wait 90 days to change apple id.... weard! probably i accepted these terms when dowloading a new IOS version, so legally I'm dead in complaining, but why is it that if i am paying for all that i buy as a model citizen i am now blocked from jumping from one apple id to another one???? I can certainly buy another ipad and have one with one id and another one with the other, but is there any other way i can keep the two in just one device?? If i don't use i-could would anything change? This is really making me mad, and is the first time i have thought of moving our of mac products into samsung or others and buy my music and movies somewhere else where stupid restrictions like this one do not exist. Please help with a solution!OK, but in my ipad, the apple id i have in itues is already the one iwant to have, but th one i used to sin in for i-coud is the other one. I have just purchased a lightning to 30 pin adaptor to use on an iPad mini and a gen5 iPod touch both devices are running iOS 8.1.3 and come up with The error message "this accessory is not supported by this device "
THis is means they are not charging on a 30 pin cable and the touch won't work in my Apple iPod dock - no audio out or charge. Have re powered both devices to no avail am wondering if the iOS version is the problem

You need to contact Sony and see if they model you have is compatible with the docking adapter. It may not be. -
I'm taking it in to get it looked at but will they cover this? And is there a way to fix it before I take it in. I'm still under the 1 year warranty plan. My friend said that they might exchange it. It's a 64GB and I use it for a lot of things like my picture, music, contacts, and email. It's got scratches on the back but other wise its ok the screen isn't cracked or scratched.
I have a usb charger for it but when I plug it into the PC or my wall charger it won't charge. It just says "Charging is not supported with this device". It even says that sometimes when it's not charging. But it works on a dock station like my clock or radio.
Also my home buttom won't work unless I press down real hard. This scares me because I'm afraid I wil persss it too hard and break it even more.

My apple tv mirroring is slow. So slow it shuts off. Any thoughts on cause? I use this device in my office for presentations without a problem. In my home with a stronger wifi router, I'm having issues.
Welcome to the Apple Community.
Intermittent problems are often a result of interference. Interference can be caused by other networks in the neighbourhood or from household electrical items.
You can download and install iStumbler (NetStumbler for windows users) to help you see which channels are used by neighbouring networks so that you can avoid them, but iStumbler will not see household items.
Refer to your router manual for instructions on changing your wifi channel or adjusting your multicast rate.
There are other types of problems that can affect networks, but this is by far the most common, hence worth mentioning first. Networks that have inherent issues can be seen to work differently with different versions of the same software. You might also try moving the Apple TV away from other electrical equipment. -

You've gotten 2 good answers already, but there's a key assumption in both that you got the message when connecting the iPhone to some other device. If this is the case you can get an adapter in the Apple online store that will allow charging from older devices.
If, however, this message appears when you are not connected to anything the problem is dirt or moisture in the dock connector at the bottom of the phone. Clean it with a dry toothbrush or air blast. -
When trying to restore and update my ipod touch it comes up with an error message saying: "The ipod can not be restored this device isnt eligible for the requested build" How do i fix this?
I am having the same issue. I just had the battery replaced at a third party store. The battery powers the ipod up but it needs to be restored. It is saying it isn't eligible for rebuild. I am running MAC OS 10.4.11 itunes v. 9.0 and I just want it to be restored. I need help. Oh and its an 8 gb ipod touch.
