Catch a tag passing an antenna quickly

Hi, We are using an IF2 reader with a single antenna as a storage for four boxes with one tag on each box. We would like to catch the in/out events of the boxes immediately and read all of the boxes inside this storage continually at the same time. Now our code is using polling mode with a big polling interval (1 second) in order to make all boxes visible in one poll which also causes a delay of catching a box in/out events. The main problem is the "out" event. How to catch the box disappear event as fast as possible? Will the event mode help? Thanks a lot for your help. Regards,Tom Liu

Thanks, So when SCHEDULEOPT is set to 1, the TIMEOUT attribute is ignored. The
ANTTIMEOUT and ANTTRIES attribute work together to determine how much
time is spent on a given antenna. So the reader goes through checking each antenna in turn for tags? We want to catch each tag passing an antenna as quickly as possible, we can't get our heads around what settings to try, if the antennas have to be read in order we want to spend as little time checking each antenna as possible, this is because we are using the time the tag was read n milliseconds further in the program and want to know when a tag reaches an antenna as quickly as possible. At the moment we are just polling the reader every 250 milliseconds to get as accurate time as possible, is the eventall likely to give us more accurate times than polling every 250 milliseconds? (polling any quicker makes the program unresponsive). Thanks for your help, we really appreciate it, we just trying to get to grips with the reader.
