CATS - CATM and PM orders

HI,
I implmented the standard contractor time entry sulotion, user uses CAT2 to input hours then CATM to create service entry sheet...
However there is a requerment that that the contractor hours be showen in the PM order as confirmations.
Does any one have an idea on how to do that or if it is possible at all.

Do I understand you well? Do you mean that material with changed material number (with MPI u2013 u2018Xu2019) should have Item Category u2013 u2018Nu2019 u2013 why you are saying so?
When I try to maintain non stock material for subcontracted operation Iu2019m getting following: Item category N is not allowed for subcontracting Message no. AD_SUBCON097
My understanding isu2026 if subcontractor for some reason sends us material with changed material number then mentioned material with Material Provision Indicator u2013 u2018Xu2019 needs to be assigned into subcontracted operation in advance.
Also material which is about to be repair needs to be marked with indicator u2018Su2019.
Automatically created PReqs and then P.O. will have an item with material marked as X.
Then by calling MB1B we transfer material (with indicator S) which needs to be repair to subcontractor (movement type 541). When making GR via MB01 we receive given by vendor material with indicator X (movement type 101)
Please point out if my understanding is wrong.

    We are implementing the Vendor Time Confirmation Scenario using CATS / CATM.
    The data is transmitted from a Vendors ERP System.
    We are using the IDoc CATS_INSERT02 to create the CATS Entry in SAP, but have no idea what XCBL Format the Vendor should be sending.
    They have no preference and are asking to provide the format and schema.
    Options we are considering:
    1. Use the SAP IDoc CATS_INSERT02 Structure
    2. Use the OrderConfirmation XCBL Structure
    3. Use the Invoice XCBL Structure
    Any advice would be great.

  • Purchase Requisition and Sales Order Linkage (Order Costing)

    Dear, Gurus
    I have a scenario where in the Purchase Requisition you can assign acct cat C for Sales Order to item 010 for example. What exactly is this used for I mean is it used to transfer the price of the purchase into the Sales Order? Or its just a linking for reporting purpose? User would like if the purchase order or its requisition price come into the conditions of my Sales Order. Is this possible if yes how or thru which condition type? I was told this is order costing and I have no idea how to configure my sales order in terms of order costing to pull the price of the purchase requisition or purchase order.
    Recap
    1)     What is the purpose of the linkage to the Sales order?
    2)     Can the price be linked into the sales order this way?
    3)     Any other valuable information I should know please feel free.

    My scenario is not the same as in 3rd party processing. In fact my scenario is make to order and even repairs of other companies machinery. Now what we are trying to achieve is lets say in the repair or in production of the customers machinery or service, MM needs to make a purchase for a part or tool etc. That in itself has a price. Meaning our purchase mm dept has to pay the vendor for the purchase made and in return we need to charge our customer for that purchase. So we would like for the price of the purchase order come in our sales order condition type as a surcharge.
    We were able to fetch the price of the production order automatically thru condition type EK02.
    We would like to do the same from purchase order.

  • Service Order and Sales Order Integration

    Hi All,
    Through the requirement class settings in customizing, I have managed to generate a service order in the background upon creation of sales order.
    To achieve this I have maintained the following settings:
    Order type = OR
    Sales document item category TAD
    - Item Cat TAD is linked to Requirements Type SERA (SD IMG->Determination Of Requirement Types Using Transaction)
    -- Requirements Type SERA is linked to Requirements Class 203 (SD IMG->Define Requirements Types)
    --- Requirements Class 203 is lined to order type SM01 (SD IMG->Define Requirements Classes)
    I have also maintained my service material 'ZPBK001' in OISD screen. So, system allows me to create a sales order for this service material and service order is generated in the background.
    However, my requirement is to not to generate service order in the background but just create a sales order. Then manually create a service order and also manually enter the sales order as an SDI settlement object in the service order.
    So to achieve this, if I remove the service material from OISD screen, then system doesn't generates service order in the background but gives an Information (not an error or warning) message saying:
    No entry for plant 1200, service object 01 ZPBK001 in table T399A
    Its only an information message and when I tick it as ok then system gives another information mesage saying:
    Error when processing Service order
    So the result is service order is not generated in the background which is fine as per my requirement because I can manually create a service order and then manually enter the sales order in the service order.
    However, during the creation of sales order, is there a way that I dont get these information messages regarding service order not being generated in the background?

    Thank you for your reply. As per your suggestion I have removed the "Transfer of requirements" check from SD IMG->Define Requirements Classes. However, when I create a sales order, system still gives me the pop-up Information message saying:
    No entry for plant 1200, service object 01 ZPBK001 in table T399A which is because I have not maintained service material in OISD screen.
    Also, I get the information message as:
    Error when processing Service order
    The first information message regarding service material is ok. However, is there a setting that I can maintain that I dont get the second message regarding error when processing service order?
    I also checked item category details in VOV7, there is no settings for transfer of requirements in vov7

    What is the best way to do? Plan it in the routing and put the actual hours thru CATS into the production order? Or some other way?

    Item category group determines the behaviour of the item,Whether it is value item or free item.
    General item category group determines the category of the item ,Like trading goods,service goods or finished goods.
    The item category group determines how a material is processed in the sales order. It defines, for example, that pricing does not take place for a free of charge item, such as a business gift; or that inventory management is not carried out for a service. When processing sales and distribution documents, the system uses the item category group to determine the item category. The system determines the item category based on the item category group of the material and the current business transaction, and proposes it in the respective document.
    When creating the material types non-stock material and services, DIEN is proposed in both cases for the item category group, because the order processing for both material types is identical: for example, pricing is carried out for both, but no availability check.

    Please anyone tell me how we can find which orders are open order & which are closed orders??

    I know about open and sales order. Actually i have to make an open order report, a WIP order report and a closed order report. And i know we can make these reports from the following:-
    CHARACTERISTICS: Bill-to-party,Ship to party, sold to party, Company code,Plant,Sales organization ,Sales Office,Material Number,Deliver block
    KEY FIGURES:orders,Open Orders,Order items,Subtotal,Net weight, open Quantity,Gross weight
    But i dont know which characteristics and key figures we will use for open order report, which one are for WIP order report and also for closed order report.
    Please do tell me how can i make these three reports.

  • Link between Delivery and Sales Order Schedule Line

    Hi Gurus,
    I have a requirement in which i need to display quantity and amount at schedule line level and also the delivery and delivery item for each schedule line.
    For example, if there is a sales order O1 and item 10 for which we have 3 schedule lines and 3 deliveries as well say D1, D2 and D3.
    Report should be something like this
    Sales Order    Item   Schedule Line    Delivery    Del Item   Confirmed Order Qty
    O1                 10      1                       D1           10            5
    O1                 10       2                      D2            10            5
    O1                 10       3                      D3            10            4
    How can i determine that a particular delivery corresponds to which schedule line of that saler order-item?
    We have the link between delivery and sales order but is there any way that we can get the link of delivery at schedule line level?

    I suppose you must check with SD functional consultant and the post should also be in the logistics SD forum and not BI. But I suppose there is know specific link between the schedule line of SO to the Delivery. It is more like a bucket flow for ex.
    Sale order   Item    Schedule line  qty
    SO1            Item1     Sch1            10
    SO2            Item1      Sch2           10
    Delivery Item QTy
    DO1       IT1   15
    DO2       IT1    5
    In this case qty 15 is distributed over both SO1 and SO2, and SO2 ITem1 Sch2 has link to both the DOs
    So I am not sure if you can establish a one to one link, please check with your SD consultants.

    If your PO is linked with SO. Then you can fetch customer name easily by FMS in PO.
    From there you ca gte the Customer Name into your PLD and it wont hang also.....

  • Production order and planned order qty should not consider in MRP

    Dear All,
    i do not want to consider the previous month production order qty and plenned order qty (Nothing but WIP qty) in the current momth MRP, but the stock has to consider in MRP.
    Example,
    Before MRP,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
    After MRP, the requirement should be as below said,
    material : XYZ
    Stock : 1000
    Prod Qty : 500 for 02.04.2008
    PIR Qty : 2000 for 02.05.2008
    Pld OrdQty : 1000 for 02.05.2008
    For the above requirement ,i have done settings in the availabilty check like , for include planned order and include production order are "DO NOT TAKE IN ACCOUNT".
    Even then also the planned order qty is generating for the "500" only.
    please give the solution for the above said requirement.

    MRP will always consider the prod order qty while doing nert req calculation.One thing u can do is TECo the prod orders and un MRP then it wont consider prod order qty.
    The Availability check will check whether the components r avalaible or not based on ur scope of check

       I am developing Make To Order Report where I have to display the MTO Line Items and non MTO Line Items. For non MTO Line Items I have to display Internal order with Planned and Actual Costs and also Production Order with Planned and Actual Costs. Could anybody tell how to get the Internal order no and production order with Planned and Actual costs for each line item for a sales order.

    You can get the Production orders, Planned orders, Internal orders generated for Sales order item from AFPO table (use fields KDAUF-Sales order number & KDPOS-Sales order item). Then to identify the order type use order category (AUTYP) from table AUFK.
    Once you have the Production/internal order, you can ge the cost from COSS and COSP table. Use the object number from AUFK to get the cost entries from COSS & COSP.
    You can use the following sample code as reference.

    "Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning calculates the ATP quantity of an item for each day of planned production by adding planned production during the period (planned orders and scheduled receipts) to the quantity on hand, and then subtracting all committed demand for the period (sales orders, component demand from planned orders, discrete jobs, and repetitive schedules).
    Note: Committed demand does not include forecasted demand or manually entered master demand schedule entries. Also, the amount available during each period is not cumulative. Oracle Master Scheduling/MRP and Supply Chain Planning does not consider ATP quantities from prior periods as supply in future periods. "

    Hi Manoj,
    For open planned order and production order select the respective box.
    But one suggestion. Try to convince client that this report will take a lot of time as you have mentioned 1 lac materials are there.
    You can exclude system status and get it with below screen as mentioned already.
    But my suggestion is to run the report at night when the system load is very less. Please create a background job one for planned order and another for production order. Then run it in midnight as per the customer requirement in background. You can automate the process by sending automatic mail to customer. Please refer the below link to trigger mail.

  • How to bifurcate production order and purchase order

    hi all,
    is it possible to bifurcate all open production order and purchase order quantity of items.
    ex:i have one item like ffp001 it is showing 100 order quantity.but i want only open purchase quantity.i checked (item master data-->righ click--->Avail to promise) its showing open production and purchase quantity.so i need only open purchase quantity.
    Plz tell me the process of Bifurcation of open orders.

    Hi,
    By default there is no option , as a workaround you can use below method,
    Create 2 warehouse , for example Purchase , Production
    When ever you create purchase order use "Purchase" warehouse, Use production warehouse in production
    In the "Available to Promise" Report you have warehouse filter option.
    Using this filter you achieve can achieve your requirement.
    OR
    Right click "Filter Table"
    Document -> Start with-> PO
    Now you can see only PO
