CATS_DA and CATA

Hi
When i use transaction CATS_DA, on the selection screen i get a button for Last Used Variant.
Is it possible to get the same button available when using transaction CATA or CATC etc?

Dear Joy,
You get the variants button in CATA as well as CATC, please save one variant in thse transactions and see whether the button appearing or not, this is available in these transactions.

ESS and CATS available in ABAP webdynpro

Hi Friends,
Currently we are under ECC6.0 with the following SP13.
SAP_BASIS 700 0013 SAPKB70013 SAP Basis Component
SAP_ABA 700 0013 SAPKA70013 Cross-Application Component
And iam looking is the ESS and CATS are available in ABAP webdynpro , i know thta these are available on JAVA side.
If i want to get ESS and CATS in ABAP Web dynpro , what we have to do ???
Could you send me useful links for ESS and CATS in ABAP webdynpro on Portals side.

So we have to live with current ESS which is in Java Iviews on portal side.
There is no as such ESS availble with SAP SP17 or EP7 side for ABAP web dynpro.
If we want to make it available , then we have to go for custom development right.
But Travel & Expenses are available in both JAVA webdynpro and ABAP webdynpro , how come SAP give partly give the package in JAVA and ABAP.
Please clarify me.

Relations between HR and Cats

We have installed the portal for updating absences.
We develloped an abap to transfer the absences from The portal to HR and CATS
Know we are missing some realstions (AWREF) between HR and CATS because HR works with periods and CATS works with days.
Can someone help to solve this problem or tell me if the missing of this relations is harmful

Using echo and cat

I am trying to test an external speech synthesizer on my laptop, a MacBook pro running os 10.6 snow leopard. I have a question regarding the echo and cat commands. I wondered if I have to set something up in order to use cat or echo with my doubletalk speech synthesizer. I have my speech synthesizer hooked up to a USB to serial adaptor and my adaptor plugged into a USB port on my laptop. I have tested my synthesizer with a terminal emulator called Kermit. And everything seems to work i.e. my synthesizer produced output, so I believe my synthesizer, my USB to serial adaptor and it's driver, are all working. My question is if I want to use the cat or echo command to send data to my synthesizer do I have to set anything up? Like the speed my synthesizer needs is 9600 baud, would I have to set up my computer in terminal to have a 9600 baud speed? Speed by the way is just an example, I believe the speed is correct. btw I know about VoiceOver.

Have you checked in with the app 'Audio MIDI Setup' to see if perhaps anything there applies. Located in the Utilities folder btw.

The app store says I have an update
     iWork Update 9.2
However when I click update it says
     An error has occurred
     The operation was cancelled. (3072)

CATS_DA and CADO different column fields

i have problem with CATS_DA when i log on in different language in system. I create z field in CATSDB - zccode. When i create report in English version everything is fine - field zccode show results. When i logon in Bulgarian language in system field zccode is not there. Other think when open report CADO - old of CATS_DA the filed zccode show in every language.
And now is the question where field zccode is language dependent ?

Table maintenance generator is an auto generated module pool program.
Whenever you change anything in your table delete the maintenance generator it will ask for TR give TR and regenerate it (again give TR ) now transport it to QA it will work fine.
One common mistake done by developer is they do not give or give some local TR (which do not get transported) while deleting the maintenanc generatior and it cause the problem you are facing.

You can do the vlan arrisgnment using 802.1x on CE500. The configuration for 802.1X and Radius authentication server can be done with the help of Cisco Network Assistant (CNA). In the menu Network Security Settings you have to put the
security level on high. There is the possibility to configure the IP address of the RADIUS server and the RADIUS key.

Time clocks and CATS

We have a requirement to capture clock-in/out from Genesis time clock system and process time in SAP. We want the generated time pair to be stored CATS database so that the mangers can edit / approve the time punches via CATS_APPR_LITE transaction
Since I am new to Time management I need help with the following:
1) What is the format to upload the data using SAP report RPTCC106 (loads table CC1TEV)
2) How is the data from CC1TEV then loaded to TEVEN table?
3) How is the time pair formed? Is it possible to store the paired form in CATS database instead of infotype 2011?

The format is the same as the structure of the CC1TEV table. Please look at this in the SE11/SE16 transaction
2) How is the data from CC1TEV then loaded to TEVEN table?
The standard SAP program SAPCDT45 is run to transfer data to TEVEN. In case any rows error out during the transfer, the information of these rows is stored in the table CC1REM. The CC1TEV table is completely purged of all information (correct or incorrect) on a non-test run of the SAPCDT45 program.
3) How is the time pair formed? Is it possible to store the paired form in CATS database instead of infotype 2011?
Time pairs are formed during time evaluation run only. Yes, it is possible to import the data into CATSDB (the central CATS table) through the use of a BAPI CATS0002. In this case, however, the CC1TEV and TEVEN tables will be rendered unusable. You will also have to create an attendance type for use with CATS.

Integration between MRS and CATS

Hi experts!
We are implementing MRS (Multiresource Scheduling) for PS and CRM Services. And we are confirming hours in PS using CATS. I've read that there's a BAdI to pull actual data from CATS to MRS, to the planning board, but can't find it.
Does anyone know which that BAdI is? Or any way to take those actual hours from CATS to MRS?

Please do let me know, which is your MRS verson so that we are in sync. I am posting this reply with respect to MRS 610.
1) Instead of method UPDATE_CLOCK_DATA , you may consider using test program /MRSS/TEST_CLOCK_R3 for updating clocking data. It allows you to update clocking status for order operation and personnel resource with timestamp. ( I had used method UPDATE_CLOCK_DATA for integrating between IS-A-DBM with MRS. )
2) You will have to find suitable enhancement spot in transaction (like CAT2, CATA, IW41...) for calling this program.
3) Prerequisite for display of timedata in planning board is;
- Activate time recording in Planning board profile
- Maintain graphic elements in MRS customizing under User Interface profile

Problem in PS and CATS

Hi,
we have activated the Consistency check in table T77S0. It is prohibiting to complete the operation technically close.
But if we deactivate it,there will be no check wether the activity exist when entering times in transactions CAT2.
What will be the solution?

Maybe I should get more into detail.
1. You create a new User Status and put it into a Status Profile. This allows to activate this status when the status profile has been chosen. (TXN OK02)
2. You allow or disallow business processes in OK02. This allows you to have this status work like technically completed or any other status you choose.
3. You use a CATS user exit to check the user status is set in the activity when booking hours on it. (TXN SMOD CATS0006)
Now you prevent writing hours on the activity when the user status is set. Any system statuses won't be involved.

Work Schedules and CATS

Good day,
I was wondering if anyone out there has modified the CATS screen to allow the changing of Work Schedules ?
What I am getting at is that an employees line manager can, via the CATS screen, change the employees Work schedule and then when running TCode CAT6 the change will update the employees IT0007 record ?
I worked on a project years ago at a client in Oxford, UK where this was done so I know it can be done .
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi
Use additinal fields for assigning the WS rule which can be eddited. All the WS rules configured should come in the list.
Then select what is required and then ask the developer to trigger the program when the save button is hit and this will update IT0007 with New WS rule.
Please see the impact on the time management when the WS rule gets updated.

Lately I purchase songs and cat transfer them to my ipod....when plug in to sink they dont appear after disconnect

lately when sikrnizing the added tunes wont show up on my ipod......never had a problem before I upgraded to itunes 11.....can anyone give me some ideas

Do the problem songs play in iTunes on the computer?
Is Settings>iTunes and App Store signed into the account that purchased them?
Can yo redownlod them directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Do they show up in the Purchased list?
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing/loading those songs?
