CATS rejected mails

Hello,
We're executing CATS WorkFlow and everything works ok. This WF sends a message to the user Inbox when the manager rejects the Time Sheet.
We need to forward all therejected messages to the user external email, and this must be done for all the CATS users.
Then... SO16 > Mail sy. grp > and here I click over "Send to home addresses of users". Here I understand that all the documents that will arrive to the SAP user Inbox will be forwarded to the user communication mail (SU01 > Address > E-Mail), right?
If it works fine, I need another thing... I need that just the CATS users have this functionality working; I mean, I need to forward only the CATS messages. Is it possible? Maybe some kind of filter by user in SCOT?
Thx!
Miguel.

  • Rejection Mail  to the Creator SOFM

    Hi ,
I am Using  TS  20000139 to send the Rejection Mail . It going well but in the Subject i want the Employee Name should come in the text. It is not coming  properly.
In Subject it coming like below.
Reason for E-Payment Rejection for &BUS2089.TRAVELERNAME&
&BUS2089.TRAVELERNAME& --> Instead it should pick the name dynamically.

I think it will come like that only.. you will have to prepare the texts ina  seperate back ground task where you will concatenate the subject line in a string . and then pass on this string to DOCUMENTHEADER container element.
    Hope I am helpful enuf!

  • Rejection mail in t-coce SOST

    Hi all,
I am processing 50000041 approval workflow. if i reject the request, mail should go to requestor about rejection. But i am finding all rejection mails in t-code SOST, i am sending manually to respective requestor.
Is there any way that rejection mail should go automatically to respective requestor?
Please provide some inputs on this...
    Thanks

    Hi,
The mails don't directly flow from SAP to the user's mailbox(outlook).  You need to check the following:
    1.  Is the exchange server of enabled to receive mails from your application server?
    2.  Is there a scheduled job (RSWUWFML) which sends work items/notifications?
    Regards,
    Aravinda Sarma M.

  • SPF IPv4 IPv6 Cross-Checking Bug - Producing PermError, Rejecting Mails

Messaging Server SPF Query with IPv6 and IPv4 cross checking not skipped, but rather producing a PermError. This would reject a lot of incoming mails which have both ipv4 and ipv6 spf records published.
I suspect that it is a bug.

  • Sending mail with multiple dest., one is rejected - mail is rejected, why?

    Hello,
I have a problem with my messaging server, while sending mails to multiple users, and one of them does not exist or is overquota.
If one of the recipients gets rejected (email address does not exists or is overquota), the email is rejected (type J register) and no one receive it.
any idea why messaging is doing this?
The queue i'm using is configured like this:
    tcp_intranet notices 3 smtp nomx backoff "pt5m" "pt10m" "pt30m" subdirs 50 maxjobs 20 pool TCP_INTRANET_POOL recipient
limit 256 maytlsserver maysaslserver allowswitchchannel saslswitchchannel tcp_auth identnone noexquota

It is up to the email client to determine how an individual rejected recipient address is handled, i.e. should it continue sending the email or give up and alert the user.
any idea why messaging is doing this? This is how all efficient email servers operate. What is the email client that you are using to send the email?

The noexquota option does nothing on Sun Messaging Server:
"Note that these options have no effect on delivery to Messaging Server mailboxes on any platform. "

You may however want to try the acceptalladdresses channel option:

  • How to call Link in Rejection mail

    Hi Experts,
When a Approver rejects a Shopping Cart, i am sending an email. In that email i wnat to send a link using which the user can login and directly open the shopping cart in change mode.
How do i create that Link or how do i call a transaction ?
    Runal.

there is one standard report available in the system which generates mails for the shopping cart approval.
this report only considers workitems which are to be approved and sends them over to the relevant approvers.
This is the case when the approvers has to approve the shopping cart , it will open link where the approver can approve ths shopping cart.
you can change the same report to consider the rejected shopping carts and send over the links, but i am not sure what will open up when you click on this link
report RSWUWFMLEC is used by the system to generates the mails

  • Forwarding rejected mail to internal recipient?

I would like to forward all mail that is normally rejected by the mail gateway to a "junk" mail folder on the internal mail server. How would I acchieve this?
Is this done by using a wildcard in the transport map or is there another method preferrable?
The reason for this request is that I want to see what mail does no longer arrive at the internal mailboxes. Just in case my filtering is too narrow.
    TIA
    Hans

If you edit main.cf manually look up "luser_relay"
    http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#luser_relay
Ok. I had overlooked this. Thanks...
You are mixing issues here. Mail to unknown users is
one thing, mail to be fed to the spamfilter another.
Don't worry about this until you actually turn on
spamfiltering (which I'd turn on immediately). No
reason why you shouldn't. If you are concerned about
false positives, keep the settings "light".
Well, the mail load is still rather light, less than 200 each day, so I simply use a catchall to collect copys of all incoming mail. I then add all spam, not filtered automatically, manually to the junk mail box of my copy of Apple mail. Everything else I simply put into the trash. This means I'm "collecting" spam to train the spam mechanism of the server. Hence this perhaps strange question...
Furthermore (but that's my personal opinion), mail
adressed incorrectly, should bounce back to the user
so they know and can fix it. Besides, an enormous
amount of incorrectly adressed mail comes from spam.
I agree, so far we simply added new aliases. But now that we have the new server setup we have decided to slowly lock everything down tight. But for us this means we have to see what comes in with false addresses and then reply to the sender manually informing him of the correct address. Due to the low mailload this is still pretty simple. I would rather not try this later this year when the load has increased.
    http://www.postfix-book.com/
I already bought this one, and Apache, and "DNS and Bind", and Kerberos and LDAP etc.
I was more thinking in the line of "in general" for OS X server "Using the gui for beginners with examples and explanations" since Apple's documentation kind of ***** in some areas.
For example I get an error when connecting Dreamweaver to my websites using webdav while FTP seems to work fine. Webav failes even though I defined realms and all that other stuff needed.
And there are some other similar general problems I have encountered through time as with Kerberos Open Directory and LDAP.
Somehow Apple's documentation seems to explain what to do, very often skipping the "how" and "why" and "what if" parts.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • Mac OS X Server 10.4.7 wrongly rejecting mail based on incorrect RBL info

On two separate servers in the past few weeks the mail servers have been rejecting messages saying the sender is listed on an RBL when this in not correct. Spamhaus and orbs are both listed as the source, but looking up the IPs in question, they are not listed. The only solution we have found so far is to disable the RBLs.

If it happens again I will collect that information. I have since updated SpamAssassin and other updates and tried enabling the RBLs again and things are working fine since them. Must be related to this massive spam surge of recent months.

  • Reject mails content filter based (regex)

How can I reject incoming mails based on a regex?

Rejecting incoming emails where the envelope sender is in your own domain can help but if you have any roaming users it will likely end up being a problem unless they always connect over VPN. My experience has been that they will often try to use other ways to send email even if just as an expedient.
You absolutely can reject spoofed envelope senders but these are based on basic rules rather than a regex. From the GUI menu select Mail Policies -> Mail Flow Policies and you can edit the settings for each mail flow policy. Each policy has a section at the bottom called "Sender Verification."
You can reject based on three main criteria. The appliance does a DNS lookup on the domain in the envelope sender and can take action based on this.
    1) Malformed or partial envelope sender
Example: Just a username with no domain at all
    2) Envelope senders where the domain does not resolve
DNS returns temporary error. Could be all their DNS servers are unreachable.
The appliance defaults to a 4xx 'try later' response.
    3) Envelope senders where the domain does not exist
DNS returns NX Domain/Perm fail. Like if the roots say the domain does not exist.
The appliance defaults to a 5xx "perm fail" response.
I have tried for years to get Cisco/Ironport to add options where the MX resolves to something ridiculous like 127.0.0.1 or 1.1.1.1 but that has never flown since it would involve interpreting a DNS lookup versus just a go/no go result.Even just the three cases there are now can make a huge difference.
Anyway, check the section titled "Sender Verification: Envelope Sender" in the AsyncOS configuration guide.for more information on these settings.
The Advanced Configuration Guide details a fairly new feature (for Ironport) called SMTP Call-Ahead. It can go further by looking up the full email address but make sure that you understand the implications of this as it can result in your mail server being seen as doing excessive lookups and getting blocked, or worse, a DOS attack.

  • CATS Rejected workflow

    Hi friends,
    we are in ecc 6.
Can someone tell me the purpose of Rejected event in BO CATS? Whenever a timesheet approved or rejected, COMPLETED event triggers. Never Rejected event is triggering. I want to send an email to creator of timesheet in case his timesheet is getting rejected. Standard task 31000007 sends notification only to sap inbox. note that it is just a notification, no workitem is generated. so i cannot use RSWUWFML2.
    Thanks

    Hi John
Can you act on your previous threads, please?
You have got quite a few that haven't seen any input from you. There was a recent one from you about a termination workflow and though there were responses, you didn't bother to show the basic courtesy to reciprocate.
Make sure you have either sufficiently responded if you cannot clsoe the thread.

  • CATS Rejection

    Dear Experts,
When user tries to reject a CATS timesheet line item from CATS_APPR_LITE I have to trigger my workflow. I see from SWEL that no event is fired when reject button is clicked. Also I tried to check for BADIs and I found CATSXT_EVENT. In this BADI register_time_sheet_events & register_employee_events methods are called both in initial selection screen and also second (rejection screen). So each time before triggering the workflow I cant check for which case this method is triggered. Is there some other BADI or exit using which I can trigger my workflow.
    KR,
    Bharath

    Dear Experts,
I debugged the std program after save action and found an enhancement spot. From there I have triggered my workflow.

  • Outgoing mail server rejects mail

    Hello,
My ISP's SMTP server started rejecting the outgoing mail I am trying to send through it.  I called them, but they checked the settings with me (which as far as I know had not changed).  They said they were OK and that I should call Apple.
Does anyone know what would cause this  I restarted the computer and the modem/network completely.  It still does it.  I have a pc on the same network which is able to send mail through the same SMPT server, so it does seem like something on this mac maybe.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks
