CATS Worklist - No display in ESS

Hi Guru's,
We have an issue with displaying CATS worklist in ESS. We are in ECC 6, Ehp 4 ,CE enabled, EP 7.1 environment.
We have implemented CATS worklist user Exit CATS001 extensively. In R/3,CAT2 worklist get displayed and it does seems to be fine. But where in ESS, worklist doesn't showing up and it shows message "Your worklist doesnt contain any data".
At time, when we login CAT2 and view the worklist and then go to ESS, it does show up. However it is not consistent.
As per the OSS notes - 376188, worklists should automatically display in ESS. Appreciate your thoughts.

Hello,
Go to the pernr that has the IT0105-0001 associated with the portal user that you are having the issue and see on SU01 or System -> Own Data -> User profile to see on the PARAMETERS the CVR parameter that he has.
This parameters maps the Data Entry profile that you will be using. If none configured on this Parameter, the default used will be the ESS (case sensitive).

Report is not getting displayed in ESS (ITS version)

Hi ,
I often create reports in ABAP HR and display them in ESS (ITS) .
But this time , report is not displaying the contents of internal table .I have first time used BAPIs to pass the values to internal table .
Is it the reason ??
Please help me in ths regard how can I make my report displayed in ESS.

Employee Photo not displayed in ESS- Who's Who Services

Hi All..
My employee photo upload was successful in Quality System . I can also view the photo both in R/3 employee related facsmiles , header of PA20, PA30. and also the same photo's are displayed in ESS - Who's Who services.
steps I used-
OANR, OAC2, V_T585O, OAC3, OAC0 and for manual upload OAAD & OAOH.
For Mass Upload - program- OA_UPLOAD_AND_LINK
In production in the same way , all the photo's can be seen in the facsmiles but if I checked in Who's Who..Its coming like a outline with a red cross on top corner but without any photo.
Kindly give your valuable suggesions..

currently i am facing issue with Employee Photo Under ESS--> Emp Search --> Change Own Data.
All my Employee Photos are uploaded in ECC, i am able to see from PA30 Header.
we are having same setup in QA- Environment , all the employee Photos we are able to see from Portal.
But in Production Environment, We are Having One Central Instance and Three application Instances and configured Load Balancing among Central Instance and Application Instances.
All the Servers Content Server in SICF t-Code is activated.
If i login into Prod Portal [either Centeal Instance or Application Instance] some time Employee Photo is Displaying Some time not,i.e No Photo at the top of corner X symbol. If i right click check on that URL, its poiting to the ECC server content server.
But If Not is Displaying --> Size is Showing Not Avaliable but Demension is Displaying.
But if Photo is Displaying ---> Both Size and Dimensions are Displaying Properly...

Change a date to a workday in CATS worklist

Hi Experts,
I have a request to change a date in the CATS worklist from holiday to a workday. I have no idea about CATS. Would you please give me an idea how a date is defaulted as a holiday in CATS (and the work hrs is distributes as 0 hrs). Is there a specific canlender used? If so, how can I locate the canlender and make the change.
If not, how does CATS capture the default work hours?

when you are in CATS then choose from menu GOTO > Settings and remove the indicator for workdays only.

Error in Leave balance display in ESS

HI all
We are on ECC 5.0 and Netweaver 2004. The problem that I am facing is in the Leave balance display in ESS. The entitlement does not show any value even if there is quota available in IT 2006. Am I missing any configuration?

Hi,
Just check your Config in the SAP. Once you are confident on your setting in Leave of ESS in SAP. Ask your Basis guy to check for the patch level and also the authorization. This you are facing for every employee or for particular employee only.

it is actually in web dynpro view, I have seen this setting and it doesnt give option for increasing default number of rows in web dynpro application. Table is dynamically constructed in web dynpro implementation and I have the hard time finding out., Any help is appreciated in these lines,

Quota overview is not being displayed in ESS Working Time

Please provide a solution for this below mentioned query.
Quota overview(Absence Entitlements) can be seen in the R/3 for an employee but same(Quota Overview), list of all the leave entitlements cannot be seen in the ESS. There is a message being displayed "There are no customizing settings for ongoing requests for employee No:****". What customizing settings is he talking about?

Address iView not getting displayed in ESS

Hello Everyone,
When I am logging into ESS with an User of SAP systen, I am unable to see the Address iView of the corresponding employee to whom the user is assigned.A number of iViews is getting displayed for different countries but I am unable to get the iView which I am looking for.Even when I am clicking on the iViews which are getting displayed no data is getting displayed.I am using country grouping 40 i.e India.I have also set the parameter in the User profile(UGR 40 and UCN IN).
Also for some of the links, when I click them the page is getting refreshed continuously without any display.Bu twhen I am tyring the view the same using the PZ screens it is coming properly.
Please let me know what settings are required to get the proper iView.

Hi Kaustav,
Go to the portal->content administration->webdynpro and see in the left pane where all the deployed applictions will get displayed.You can chekc the same thru SDM also.
For deployment, you can download the .SCA file from the service market place and deploy it thru SDM.

Employee photo is not displayed in ESS Who's who service

Hi colleagues,
Please help our colleague in this issue:
1) They have implemented correctly the procedure to display photos in PA20/PA30 and the current ITS based ESS who's who is displaying the photo.
2) They are trying to implement EP 7 with XSS BP 1.0 SP10 bold however in the Who's Who service the employee photo is not being displayed.

Custom infotype display in ESS ERP 2004

Hi gurus,
The personal information infortype and address infotype of the system has custom fields. In ESS for ERP2004 how do I display these fields in the personal information and address iViews. I guess these do not come by default. Then how do we get them.
Like in IT0002 the clinet has a custom field fathers_name. I know this can be maintained in 0021 but as of now it is in 0002 (i dont know why), so in ESS when i displya personal information iview will this field be displayed automatically. More over this is mandidatory field.

Items in the cats-worklist for responsible resources

Hello,
I try to implement cProjects with CATS. Everything is fine except one thing:
Every user has some tasks assigned. The employee is able to record his times to the tasks. This is correct.
But the responsible resource also has the tasks he is "responsible for" (defined in the task general tab) in this worklist. Is it possible to exclude this tasks?
How can I avoid the task's responsible employee to be able to record times to this task if he is not assigned to it directly via task->assign?

thank you for your answer. Somehow I don't get the point with "the program explizitly excludes such ressource". I think that it includes the ressources.
There is the boss that is responsible for the projects/phases/tasks. This boss sees all the task he is responsible for. But we would prefer that he only sees the tasks that are really assigned to him. How could this would if we don't want to use two users?

What do you mean by "display different kind of contents"? do you mean you want to display PDF/HTML/Image based on certain parameters or You are using different media like PC/PDA etc.
In both cases you can redirect to different success page based on your query parameters.
