CBMA issue in PI 7.31 - Connection type is RFC rather than JMS.

Hi,
I am facing issue with CBMA in production PI 7.31 which is working perfectly in quality system. I configured alert rules and scheduled AlertConsumerJob also. Configured alerting.isactive to true and alerting.target to '1'.
I observed that Message Alert configuration from PIMON is routed to alert framework rather than to the page where rules that are created in ID are displayed. From nwa->soa->monitor->Message Alert Configuration, able to see the rules created in ID. Does correcting this helps me?
Not sure if this is correct or not, but i even tried pinging the url http://host:port/AdapterFramework/alerting/ping.jsp, which shows Connection type as RFC in production. In quality it was JMS. Is this the issue? Please guide me.
Thanks,
Prasanna.

  • Why a Constant has to be of type Static final  rather than final?

    Hi,
I struck up with a basic doubt
Why a Constant has to be of type Static final rather than final?
    Hoping for quick reply
    Venu.

    Hi,
I struck up with a basic doubt
Why a Constant has to be of type Static final rather
than final? It doesn't have to be, but it usually makes more sense for it to be static (associated with the class) than non-static (associated with the instance). If every instance of the class will have the same value for that variable--whether it's final and a constant or not--it makes sense to make it static. There's no need for multiple copies of the same value. (And in the case of non-final variables, it can lead to incorrect program behavior if it's not static.) If each instance of the class could potentially have a different value for that variable, then it has to be non-static.

  • Force 802.11ac Connection To Time Capsule Rather Than Airport Express

I have a new Time Capsule and a new retina Macbook Pro, both with 802.11ac.
The Time Capsule is in my main room and my rMBP is in my offce.  In between my office is the kitchen which has an Airport Express.  The reason I have the Airport Express in the kitchen is because some devices such as iPads and iPhones have a hard time connecting to the Time Capsule, so the Airport Express extends the network.
The rMBP has no such problems.  However, because the AE is closer, it stays connected to the AE rather than the TC.  This of course means I don't get any 802.11ac advantages.
How can I force the rMBP to connect to the TC and ignore the AE?

LaPastenague had good advice for you. All that you need to do is use AirPort Utility to enable the option to assign a different name to the 5 GHz band on the Time Capsule.
Then, move your MBP close to the Time Capsule and "point" your MBP to that network.  Then, check to insure that you have the MBP configured to connect to the 5 GHz network first in the connection priority list.
Open System Preferences (gear icon on the dock)
    Open Network
Click on WiFi on the left
Click Advanced at the lower right
Make sure that the 5 GHz network name is at the top of the connection order list. If it's not, drag it there
Make sure that there is a check mark in the box next to "Remember networks this computer has joined"
No other boxes should be checked
    Click OK
    Click Apply
    Close the windows
Note.....As you know, 5 GHz  signals are much weaker than 2.4 GHz signals, so 5 GHz works best when wireless devices are in the same room, close proximity, or have line of sight with each other.  If there are several walls or other obstructions in the signal path between the Time Capsule and MBP, the Mac may not connect at high speeds.

  • M-Audio FW410 connect with s/pdif rather than firewire

Forgive me if this is really naive, but I've recently begun having lots of problems with my audio set-up (no sound sporadically, slow volume adjustment response, distortion, etc), and upgrading the 410 driver hasn't helped. This isn't just in Logic, but system-wide.
There was a thread a year or two ago about hooking up your interface through s/pdif rather than firewire, and my understanding was that doing this (with whatever interface you have) would not require the use of the manufacturer's driver, as it would be controlled through Apple's Core Audio...thus minimizing any driver issues. That could be great as I've never had the need to record more than one track at a time, which is the limitation of doing it this way.
I wanted to give this a try, but I'm not having any luck. I've unhooked my firewire connection and plugged the optical connections to the back of my G5. I set my Sound In & Out preferences to Digital, but I'm not getting any response. Haven't opened Logic yet, as I was initially wanting to see if I could at least hear Quicktime or iTunes files. No luck. This should work, shouldn't it?
I've searched these forums, the web in general, and M-Audio's support, but haven't found any clues. I'm guessing that I've either missed an important step, or that I'll still have to use the M-Audio driver even when trying to use s/pdif.
    Thanks for any advice!

    Hi,
    Here's how to do it:
    1. Unplug the M-Audio FW 410 from the computer. Unplug it from the power outlet, if it is plugged in there.
    2. Uninstall the M-Audio drivers, completely. Leave none in the computer, or this will not work correctly.
    3. Box up the FW 410 in it's original box. If this is no longer available, any good cardboard box will do. you don't need fancy packing material at this stage.
    4. Place the unit into a plastic or metal container outside, usually reserved for Trash. Do NOT place the unit in the recycle bin, as this will cause the garbage truck to crash. Then the City will go after you. You can opt for a slam dunk, a three pointer from your front door, as long as it gets in the container.
    5. Immediately afterwards, go to your local Dealer, and purchase either:
    a. A RME product.
    b. A Digidesign product (if you need access to ProTools).
    c. A Motu product.
    6. Return home with new product, open the box, and read the instructions on how to install this new product.
    7. Install new product.
    8. Sit down and meditate for 5 minutes.
    9. After realizing how much or your precious time was wasted by M-Audio, either cry, get drunk (only if over 21), or better yet, REJOICE at the fact that you now have a new product that WORKS.
WARNING: If you do not follow each step outlined above, you will not be able to continue in the quest for audio recording. Or playback for that matter. And you will continue to be miserable. Unless you're a masochist, in which case continue using the M-Audio product, as it will provide endless hours of pain.
    Cheers

  • How do I display ethernet connection is being used rather than WI-FI connection in the menu bar/elsewhere?

I have a new 13" retina MacBook Pro - I have wi-fi connection but also a thunderbolt/ethernet adapter that allows me to connect to my network
Sometimes, the ethernet connection does not connect and I do not notice for a while (possibly a dodgy TP-LINK plug adapter thingy)
My question is - how can I display that I am connected/using the ethernet connection rather than the wi-fi? The wi-fi symbol stays in the menu bar but it would be nice to see that I am using the ethernet connection instead
    Many thanks
    Mike

I don't think you can do that. You can only display the WiFi connection on the menu bar.

  • What is the point in converting type to shapes rather than just flattening at required resolution?

Ok, this may sound like a stupid question. Lets say I'm designing a trifold in Photoshop. The printer requests that designs be done at a resolution of 300dpi.
What is the point in converting all type to shapes prior to saving or embedding fonts when I can just flatten my entire design at 300dpi? Isn't that what the print shop is going to do anyway...just flatten my design? Or do they print type at a higher resolution than the raster portions of the design? This has confused me for too long. I hope someone can clear this up. Thanks

The core of the bad advice is telling you to rasterize all your type. In light of this bad advice, the fact that they're saying 300ppi does make sense, because the last thing they want are images @ 2400ppi!
That been said, Photoshop is never the right tool for most text applications anyway, even though it does support vector output (to a point, and with some issues that are sometimes problematic to get around). If you have larger text that needs to be integrated into the image, or effected with Photoshop filters, etc. that's one thing, but if you're laying out paragraph text / body copy / lyrics and liner notes for a CD, etc. then you should be using Illustrator or InDesign -- an app that is designed to handle vector text and objects.
re: online printers: sorry, I haven't used any as of yet. I do have a couple of one-off book projects I'm going to send to Lulu, and a friend here in work uses Overnight Prints and seems pretty happy with them. But aside of that, I can't really offer any specific recommendations. Hopefully someone else can chime in here.

  • Load balance for HTTP Connection to ABAP System (Type H) RFC connection

    Experts,
For proxy we are using HTTP Connection to ABAP System (Connection type H) RFC connection in PI to get connected to ECC. I only see the option to use Target host in the Target system settings than Load balance option. In general ABAP Connection (Connection type 3) has Load balancing status option in Target system settings.
My requirement is I should use a logon group with the message server when PI connects to ECC. How can we achieve this? At the moment I can only use the Central Instance or any dialog server (App server) in RFC but not a logon group.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Suresh,
Isnt FM "TH_GET_PLUGIN_INFO"  pretty much the same as FM "THUSRINFO" which gives me every sessions? I do not want to have a list of every session on the server, but just the connection type of the current one.

  • Missing Connection Types in Report Data Source Properties

I am running three installations of SharePoint 2013 with SQL 2012 for Business Intelligence, with Kerberos working.
I have been having intermittent issues with SQL Reporting Services in a multi-server configuration, but finally had it working in all three environments.  We discovered many of our issues were caused by master page customizations which we have now disabled
temporarily while we work on function issues.
However, we started having a new problem with Reporting Services on just ONE of the environments, and we are not sure what happened.  Most everything appears to still be working, except Reporting Services. I have verified that features are enabled
in both the farm and the site collection, as well as insured managed content types are being allowed on the target document libraries.  I also verified the Reporting Service properties and database connections.  However, I have found two clear symptoms
which I can find no other information regarding (in logs or in online searches):
    1) If we try to create a new "Report Data Source" using the SharePoint UI, it will open a new Data Source Properties window, but in the "Data Source Type" field, there are no values available for me to select my connection type (e.g.,
    Microsoft SQL Server).
    2) In Central Administration, while administering the Reporting Services Service Application, I can manage a majority of the settings, including System Settings, Manage Jobs, Key Management, etc.  However, if I click on the link for "E-mail Settings,"
I get the dreaded "Sorry Something went wrong screen," with an error saying that "Object reference is not set to an instance of an object."
So I am hoping someone has an idea of where I can look for additional information on this issue, or even better, knows what I am missing to get Reporting Services functional again in this environment!
Thanks in advance for any help provided.
    Elohir

However, we started having a new problem with Reporting Services on just ONE of the environments, and we are not sure what happened.
    Hi Elohir,
I assume you are installing Reporting Services SharePoint mode for SharePoint 2013, you need to:
    1. Install "Reporting Services – SharePoint" and "Reporting Services add-in for SharePoint Products" on the SharePoint server that the SSRS service will run on.  All other SP servers only need the "Reporting Services
    add-in for SharePoint Products."
    2. Run the Insall-SPRSService and Install-SPRSServiceProxy on Central Admin and SSRS server.
    3. Start SSRS Service only on desired SSRS servers.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj219068.aspx
Since the issue occurs only to one of the environments, please provide more information about your multi-server configuration, and point out the server where the issue occurs.

  • Authentication error when creating EPM Add-in connection with SAP BO Enterprise connection type

    Hello, Experts,
I have a problem with creation of EPM Add-in connection when SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type is selected.
An error message is "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed."
Here are the steps that were implemented and how this issue was reproduced:
SAP BusinessObjects Planning and Consolidation 10.0 SP12 for Microsoft was installed and configured.
Integration between SAP BPC and SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1 SP02 was implemented. SAP BO users can successfully connect to SAP BPC system.
EPM connector was successfully installed and deployed in SAP BusinessObjects BI server.
BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 64BIT was installed in SAP BusinessObjects server.
EPM connection was successfully created in SAP BusinessObjects CMC.
EPM Add-in and BPC ODBO 2.0 SP04 32BIT was installed in another computer (let's call it CLIENT) which has MS Office 2007 32BIT installed.
From CLIENT computer we have launched Excel manually and successfully created BPC connection with Connection Type - Local.
Then we have logged into BI Launch Pad and launched New / EPM document (Excel). Excel has started.
In EPM Add-in we have pressed Logon.
In connection window selected SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise connection type.
An error "Error while communicating with the server. Framework message: Authorization failed." appears.
Before this error appears we are not getting any window where we could select EPM connection (created in CMC) nor the possibility to enter username or password.
Looking forward you valuable comments and suggestions.
    Thank you in advance.
    Donatas Budrys

    Dear, Roberto,
Our user has Full Access to all BPC tasks and it is administrator in BI system.
Also we can successfully connect with the same user using Connection type "Local".
We had done some investigation and in the BPC SQL Server trace log we can catch the following message when an error occurs:
    ==============[System Error Tracing]==============
[System  Name] : BPCXMLAService [Message Type] : ErrorMessage [Job Name]    : ValidateUser [DateTime]    : 04/23/2014 10:58:06 [UserId]      : [Exception]    DetailMsg  : {System.Exception: Invalid user    at SAP.BPC.Services.Webservice.XMLAService.XMLAService.ValidateUser()} ==============[System Error Tracing  End ]==============
It is very interesting that after the EPM workbook is launched via BI Launch Pad till an error occurs we are NOT provided with possibility to enter any username and password. So the EPM add-in should use the same user which was logged into BI Launch Pad - in our case the user with administrative rights both in BI Launch Pad and BPC systems. Am I missing anything?
    Looking forward your feedback.
    Thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Donatas

  • Issue in setting up a connection pool in Glassfish

    Hello,
I'm having an issue in setting up a connection pool in Glassfish. Previously I did it succesfully when I installed Glassfish in a Windows Server machine, but now I'm trying to do the same thing on a Linux machine and it's not working.
Glassfish version is: Glassfish server open source edition 3.1.1 (build 12)
The machine is a AWS machine running Amazon Linux AMI
Oracle Database is Oracle 11g Release 11.1.0.6.0 - 64bit Production With the Real Application Clusters option
The Oracle client installed on the machine is Release 11.2.0.3.0 Production
Java version is: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_02-b13)
I've created the pool with the following options:
    Resource Type: javax.sql.DataSource
    Datasource classname: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource
And as additional properties (apart from User and Password) I put as URL jdbc:oracle:oci8:@EVOREAD
The TNS file is correct and I can connect without any problem using sqlplus. I already copied the ojdbc6.jar in the /opt/Glassfish3/Glassfish/lib folder and I already restarted Glassfish server. Basically I did all the same steps that I did in the Windows machine, but in the Linux machine I always receive the following error:
    java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc11 in java.library.path no ocijdbc11 in java.library.path
I needed to create also a connection pool to a MySql Database and basically I did exactly the same steps (apart of course using all the parameters needed for MySql and the proper connector) and it worked immediately.
    Anyone can help me?

You are using an OCI driver? You can either revert to using a thin client, or install the SQL client binaries and add its lib directory to the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.

  • PI 7.1 FTP(S) - adapter with implicit connection type?

    Hi,
We have encountered some issues involving FTP connection with SSL/TLS because the standard FTP - adapter in SAP PI 7.1 doesn't support the connection type "implicit". Many of our customers use FTP servers with connection type implicit and are somewhat reluctant or unable to configure the server to accept explicit connection type.
Now, I wonder if there is any patch or update which makes the FTP adapter to communicate with connection type "implicit"?
Or if you have another workaround for us to utilize?

please refer this blog for the FTPs connection.

    Hi All
I just purchased a Nokia 6300 and want to sync to my PC. When I run the software the messge on the bottom of the screen states " No phone connected" When I hit the Get connected button next to the message the connection wizzard opens, then I click next and an error message appears " No connection type available therefore connection to the phone cannot be established. The wizard will now close "
Can anyone help solve the problem

    Success!
From the current and other comments I made it after 3 days efforts on and off!
This is the sequence of events from the start.
    Start Point
A working earlier installation for a Nokia 6230i but which would do everything for my new Nokia 6300 except Sync (Menus greyed out.
Before doing anything else, make an image of your system partition (I use Acronis so you can restore the known working image if anything really goes wrong.
Downloading new versions for the new phone does not work fro this staring point! Don't even go there.
    Step1
    Uninstall PC Suite
    Reboot your machine
Installing the new software will still not work yet. You will hit the Problem with Registry key(s) access.
You now need to delete all the REGISTRY KEYS associated with Nokia . They don't all have Nokia in the key name!
Go to the RUN box and type regedit
Browse HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classes and right click and Delete every folder with Ncl at the start (e.g. NclPhonet)(I had 3 of them)and every Nokia entry (I had 1) and the Secure Platform key folder.
    Exit regedit
Also, and this appeared to be the final problem I had which may have been left around from earlier aborted installs) in Windows Explorer go to ProgramFiles, and manually delete the PC_Comnectivity_Solutions folder (if it exists).
Now I installed from the CD provided with the Nokia 6300 phone and it installed without an issue and the bluetooth connection picked up the phone and BINGO the SYNC menu was not greyed out!
    Phew!
All synced up now again and phone is usable!
    Hope that helped.
I take no responsibility for any problems you may experience in trying to follow what I did, as my system my be different to yours , but the backup image should get you back to square 1 if you really mess up.
Cheers, and thanks to all the other guys on the blog for their hints.
