CC 2014 illustrator/ Kuler - sync!?

I am using a mac on above CC 2014 illustrator. I am going into Kuler/ Colour putting together my swatches and it will not sync with Illustrator?

I had the same issue. Here is what I found. Try Window (top menu) > Color Themes. It brought up a palette that brought in my Kuler - now Adobe Color swatches.

Kuler in Illustrator CC 2014 does not sync themes, though connected

hi there
my kuler panel says:
"no color themes available in the kuler account:(myccountname)"
but when i go to the website my color palettes show.
have tried syncing, closing reopening, disconnecting and reconnecting. nothing worked.

Illustrator and Kuler sync problem

Illustrator and kuler are not sync. Refresh button in illustrator's kuler panel is disabled. What can i do?

Have you already tried logging out (via the help menu) and then logging in again?

Kuler sync with Ideas...HOW TO???

The main doubt is: Adobe Ideas don't reconizes .ase files...the only way in which I could make it work was saving the theme created as an image file (jpeg in instance) and email me this file, opening in Ideas and "catching" the colors as I would do with any other image. There's a way somebody could import this themes into Ideas?
The Kuler page says this:
"The color themes you create with the Kuler app can be synced to the Kuler website, an online community for color enthusiasts, for use with other Adobe applications such as Illustrator and Adobe Ideas."
How one can do this? Theres no option in kuler like "Open in" when you save a theme, and Ideas don't recognizes the .ase files generated, so this is the main doubt:
How one can import or sync, whatever, a theme generated in Kuler (the app or the site) into Ideas?

Starting in Adobe Ideas 2.6, your Kuler themes are automatically synchronized to Ideas when you are signed in to Creative Cloud.
First, make sure you are signed into Creative Cloud and have Creative Cloud sync turned on. Then, open any Idea file. Show the color panel by tapping on the color swatch on the toolbar. Then tap the arrow button on the bottom to reveal more color options. Tap the "Themes" tab. The list of themes on this tab should match the Kuler themes in your Kuler account.

Image sequence of jpegs import into Premiere Pro CC 2014 out of sync!

Ever since I left CS6 to CC 2014, image sequences as jpeg files do not properly import into Premiere in sync anymore. I use Blender 3d to export render scenes as jpegs then convert them to h.264 mpeg4 video clips in Premiere. What happens is that the images upload into Premiere's project tab out of order, even though they are correctly ordered in my hard drive. Improper naming conventions are probably ruled out since their files extensions are _000 types, and I never had a problem importing sequences in CS6 anyways. Still image default duration is set to 1 in the general preferences. Does anyone know what is suggest? Thanks.

Good point, I am importing as separate jpegs each set to one frame, so it's not an image sequence as I thought.
My indeterminate media timebase and sequence are the same (29.97fps), though I have to say that even if they were different I don't see why that would be a problem.
Here is a screen shot of my images just after uploading them into the project tab, it is seen from first to last that file numbers appear out of order such as 066, 054, 072, 058...ect:

CC 2014, Illustrator, type with Drop Shadows what's different about them?

I just tried to give a line of type a drop shadow, using Creative Cloud Illustrator CC 2014. When I first apply the drop shadow a blur shows up and the only what I can give it a shape is and by going to O inches blur. What on earth is going on...do I have a bad copy of Illustrator?
I'm using Illustrator on a PC running Windows 7 Professional, has an Haswell i5 processor and 16 GB of memory. I'm using the 64 bit version of CC 2014
When I've gone to Help it won't accept drop shadow and type for illustrator at all.

Settings export from CC to CC 2014 (illustrator)

I try to export my settings from Illustrator CC to CC 2014. It doesn't do this automatically (even though automatic synchronisation is "on" in both versions) and if i try to do it manually (Help bij Illustrator | Illustrator CC-instellingen importeren en exporteren), CC 2014 tells me the file doesn't contain the settings. Anyone a thought? Would be highly appreciated!

Rectangle Resizing After recent CC 2014 Illustrator update.

Just updated Illustrator 2014 CC and I can no longer size rectangles via selection tool. Here is the kicker - this is only with rectangles, circles & text boxes resize like normal. I have reset preferences, checked the bounding box & reset the bounding box - nothing has worked.

I am afraid you have come across the Live rectangle bug which is limited to the MAC versions starting with 10.7 and 10.8, but not 10.9 (Mavericks), see this thread linked to below.

So a switch to Mavericks with a reinstallation might be the way to solve it here and now.
It is possible to Expand the Live Rectangles to get normal old fashioned rectangles.

Photosho cc 2014 does not sync

Under help it says Signed in and when I try to sync under preferences it says "not signed in"?

Sync is not the same thing as migrating settings/presets from a previous version.
If you want things from a previous version, use the migration script, or save them and reload them.

Kuler won't sync with illustrator cc

I have illustrator cc and a kuler account. I am logged into both with the same user id. They both work seperatly. However when I go the kuler panel in illustrator and push the button to update it, none of my theme come through. It's just blank. How can this be fixed?

.. I wonder what is the use of this little Edit-Icon, which is now permanently crossed out in the Illustrator Kuler-Palette.

You cant edit the color-schemes in Illustrator. You cant create one.
It is redundant, to have permanent disabled icon, right?

Indesign doesn't sync Kuler themes

Kuler doesn't sync themes with Indesign CC 2014.
So far, I've tried:
sign out / sign in
syncing themes from Illustrator CC 2014 does work.
reinstalled Indesign CC 2014, even deleted both Indesign CC and CC 2014 before reinstalling it.
created a new theme within Indesign and tried to load it up. => landing on a Kuler website that shows my User ID (I guess that confirms that I'm logged in) but shows me a big 404 error (nice green one on a dark background...) in the top center of the page
Indesign CC (without 2014) doesn't sync either...
tried if traffic gets blocked
tried it on a different machine (both Macs, one running Mavericks, one running Mountain Lion)
So far, nothing has worked for me.
Has anyone else made this experience?

Unfortunately, it doesn't sync Kuler colors like Illustrator at this time. But you can do it.
When you pick your theme color, click the Download button:
This downloads an Adobe Swatch Exchange file (the same way you can exchange files with Photoshop or Illustrator).
In the InDesign file on the Swatches panel menu, choose Load Swatch and select the ASE file. The colors are added to your swatches.

How do I modify my Adobe Illustrator CC 2014 preferences file?

I know the location, and I've done it before in the previous version of CC, but for some reason its not letting me in the newest version of Illustrator (CC 2014), does anyone have a step by step to getting this done?

Illustrator CC (2014) update now instantly crashes application?

Hello,
I updated my CC (2014) - Illustrator, Bridge and Photoshop Apps via the Creative Cloud App this morning.
Upon restarting the app, any file I try to open has an "not enough memory" error message.
I've tricked it a few times, by creating a new document, then trying again to reopen an existing file... it opens and crashes instantly with the below error message.

Trial version of Illustrator CC 2014 takes over my CS6 old version and forces me to use CC 2014 on launch. How to fix? FIle> get info>won't let me choose >Open this file with CS6. Forces me to use CC 2014 Illustrator which I don't want because I am doing client work in CS6 that I own and I do not have time to try out the CC version.
I also do not like the black interface in illustrator as I cannot even see the layer icon at the bottom. I won't want to buy it if this is all that's offered.

You can change the UI brightness in the prefs. Otherwise I'm not clear what your issue is. Handling file associations are operating system basics and you can look them up on a simple web search and from drag&drop onto the launchpad/ dock icon for CS6 to opening the files directly from within AI there sure are enough alternatives, don't you think?
