CC 2014 Installation
Bin gerade dabei von CC auf CC 2014 upzugraden. Nach dem das Update von Photoshop CC 2014 nicht möglich war wegen Exit Code: 7 habe ich die komplette CC deinstalliert und wollte es jetzt neu installieren. Leider kann ich keines der Tools, bis auf Muse CC, richtig installieren.
Was ich bis jetzt probiert habe:
- CC vollständig deinstalliert, neu installiert: geht nicht
- Neuen User mit Adminrechten angelegt und damit installiert: geht nicht
- Festplattendienstprogramm durchlaufen lassen -> Rechte reparieren: geht nicht.
- Mavericks im Save-Mode gestartet und mit neuem Adminuser versucht zu installieren: geht nicht.
Im Support-Chat wurde mir das mit dem Admin-User und dem Save-Mode empfohlen.
Im Telefon-Support wurde mir gesagt, dass die Update-Server aus Deutschland nicht erreichbar wären und man daran arbeite (seit Montag? Heute ist Dienstag 18:00).
Mein Problem ist jetzt das ich einen kurzfristigen Job in AE machen muss und kein AE und PS habe

- Macbook Pro Late 2011 mit SSD

2. Manchmal - das wissen wir in der Zwischenzeit - ist die zu löschende "opm.db Datei" der Übeltäter für Deine Probleme.
3. Du hast bereits einmal erfolglos installiert und deinstalliert, deshalb wird das Verfahren etwas aufwendiger. Sei vorsichtig, denn mit PC-eigenen Werkzeugen gelingt das nicht. Manchmal - aus welchen Gründen auch immer, will CC auch bei mir nicht arbeiten. In diesem Fall musst Du das CC komplett löschen und neu installieren mit Hilfe des Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (das mit Bordmitteln zu versuchen reicht nicht!)

SQL Server Express 2014 Installation Completes with Failures and Repair Does Nothing to Help
I am attempting to install SQL Server Express 2014 on a development machine and as usual old versions of SQL and the remnants of them are a plague to the installation.
I have used to Revo Uninstaller to scrub the old installations and with my first attempt after some additional work on the registry I was able to get an instance to install and remarkably I was able to connect to the instance. However, I removed an application
reference to SQL Server 2008 after the SQL Express 2014 installation (through Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features) and it stopped working immediately.
So I removed (uninstalled using Revo Uninstaller) every reference to any SQL Server application as well as removed all of the registry references (using Revo) and I can now install SQL Server Express 2014 with
"Feature" failures [Reporting Services, Database Engine Services, Full-Text and Semantic Extractions for Search and SQL
Server Replication] and of course it doesn't work.
Now when I attempt "Repair" the installation the process ends normally (no errors) and reports "Success" however SQL still has no instance and the services are not running nor are they visible when I open the "SQL Server Configuration
Manager".

To my knowledge, Revo is not a supported way to uninstall SQL Server.
Please try to uninstall all you can using Control Panel -> Programs and Features, then perform a manual uninstall to
remove remnants. Try the following procedure:
1. Uninstall all SQL Server 2012 components you can using Control Panel -> Programs and Features
2. Backup the registry.
3. Delete the following keys in regedit:
--HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
--HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete all the sub-keys referencing
SQL Server.
5. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and delete all the keys referencing SQL Server.
6. Rename all the SQL Server folders in the computer like C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server and subfolders.
After performing above procedure, try to reinstall SQL Server again.

I'm having trouble installing Muse. the installer gets to 84% and fails.
I've uninstalled, repaired permissions, booted from repair partition and repaired, zapped PRAM and then tried them all again twice, but it still doesn't install.
Here's the error that I get:

And I've tried everything on this page multiple times: Creative Cloud Help | Install, update, or uninstall apps
After clicking on "Retry" multiple times, it eventually installs, but the application is not in my Application folder and is nowhere to be found. I quit the Creative cloud app and relaunch it after a "Successful Install'" but the application isn't installed and the CC app shows that I need to upgrade it.
Muse CC shows up as installed even though I uninstalled it.
I've updated it several times, but it still will either fail, or finish and not actually install anything.
** UPDATE **
Tried installing on another computer. while the install said it failed, the application appeared in the application folder and it worked. It failed at 84-85% and apparently the uninstaller wasn't installed. I copied the Muse CC 2014 folder to my machine, restarted the creative cloud app and everything works. no idea why the CC app fail to install Muse, but the act of uninstalling it the first time removed my ability to reinstall Muse. It's working now but was a pain.Same thing here. Will have to work with ver. 7.4 until you guys figure out what the issue is. Please let me know how to resolve.
This update installation process is completely different from previous ones where updates would install within Muse application; this update takes you to Adobe application website - offers "Download" of Muse 2014. This is confusing to me...does this mean download a completely new Muse or install an update? Clicking download offers me all CC applications "Try, try, try" etc. or, for Muse to "Install". Clicking install eventually brought me to OP's issue above.

But when the DBA (also a domain admin) logs in... then the installation continues....

Enterprise Edition of SQL Server 2014 is not supported on a client operating system like Windows 7. You still can install it but there
will be some limitations.

Problems with the Muse CC 2014 Installation
It took me a couple of months to discover that the Muse "Update" was installing a whole new muse in a different program directory (Program Files) - instead of Program Files (x86), where the other Muse (with the older "green" splash screen) was. OK,after "installing" the new Muse three times over the last couple of months, I discovered the new version today and have changed over. I must say, I'm not delighted with the new layout, but that's neither here nor there. Important to mention here is, that it's offering me a start screen that's for the trial version.
My problem is, the "Flip Card" widgets that I had installed in the old Muse are not being found/recognized by Muse 2014. The new Muse doesn't seem to be accessing the Appdata/Roaming/Adobe Muse and Adobe Muse Library directories. I tried dropping the FlipCard folder directly into the new Muse Libraries directory, but Muse rejected it and refused to open.
I attempted to start over and download direct to the new Muse, I have the Adobe Cloud App on the desktop, synchronization is turned on. The widget shows up in my account on Adobe in the web, but it's not turning up in Muse. I attempted a direct download as well following the instructions about how to install with the Adobe Extension manager, but since Muse is not turning up in the list of Programs on the left, I can't install it.
My frustration is making me grind my teeth together. How do I do this? Pleeeeeeeease. . . .

in this case I would download a really new trial version of your program(s) in question and change it/them into a "real" version later, BUT because you said, that you "re-installed" already, so it become a little bit complicated. It would be necessary that you have to use "Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool".
Here an advice for that (The order varies depending on your individual needs. Please read all my proposals first, so you can better choose the first step.)
1. Maybe you have to activate/deactivate, so please have a look there:

2. Sometimes, we know in the meantime, the "opm.db file" is the culprit. In this case you should delete it.
3. Did you already try "uninstalling and re-installing"? Be careful with (de)installing aso. by (de)installing by your own resources. As much as I regret it and as strange as it may seem I fear it's a challenge for Adobe's Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. Sometimes - for whatever reasons - CC doesn't "want" to work. In this case you should CC completely delete and reinstall by help of Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool. (A try to uninstall by own resources is not enough!)

The tool removes installation records for prerelease installations of Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications. Service Pack 1 & CU DEC 2014 installation procedure
Hi together!
A short question on the update process for SharePoint 2013. Altogether I'm quite aware of the update process and all the pitfalls that come with it. So, we're on March 2013 PU and planning to install
Service Pack 1 AND December 2014 CU in one rush. In addition, at least one (German) language pack is installed.
Is it correct to install all the binaries on every SharePoint server first (in order SP1, Language Pack (LP) SP1, DEC 2014 CU) and THEN run the Config Wizard sequentially on all servers? Basically,
this method should be valid and correct, however, I'm not sure if in case of SP1 a Config Wizard run is neccessary directly after installing SP1 with LP and if that is finished proceed with CU installation.
Thanks for your support!I have done exactly what you describe without an issue. Having said that I normally do the upgrade to SP1 with LP and then run the Config Wizard. Then go back and do the CU install and run the wizard again. As I said, I've done it in
one session, but would recommend doing the SP1 first.

SQL Server 2014 installation using command line fails to remove the extraction folder when complete
We need to install SQL Server 2014 Express in /QS mode (shows
progress through the UI, but does not accept any input or show any error messages) as
my setup-Prerequisite. I passed my installation parameters to
SQLEXPRWT_x64_ENU.exe, when I ran my application it pop-ups
user to select the folder to extract files. After I choose the folder, SQL
files got extracted and the installation proceeded and it got succeed.
But it fails to remove the extraction folder when installation is complete.There is an issue that /qs parameter is not recognized and cannot be used the same
way as in SQL 2012. That issue will be addressed in SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 1.

Need guidance for eDirectory for GroupWise 2014 Installation

I am installing GroupWise 2014 on Windows Server 2012. I first need to install eDirectory. This will at first be a test server for now. I don't know what to do for the eDirectory install. The documentation tells us what to do but it does not give a visual example or sample of what to put in. So, it does not make sense to me.
I am including two attachments. One attachment shows my eDirectory installation screen where I am to declare a tree and context, and to create my Admin account. Why do I keep getting a Context Format Error, and what should it look like? Please provide an example for each field shown on the screenshot example. Also, if you need a domain name, let's call it mycompany.com for now. The Windows 2012 server is in Workgroup Mode and it will not be joined to Active Directory.

De GroupWise documentation does indeed not go into the eDirectory details. eDir is seen as a different product for which you can find the needed documentation in it's own section.
I'm curious though, are you wanting to install eDirectory because you will need that at a later point in time, or because you think that is required to run GroupWise 2014?

After Effects CC 2014 installation problem
I recently updated my After Effects, however it didn't work properly. Now I am trying to reinstall it, but it won't go past 52% of installation. I am installing it with the Creative Cloud app.
Please tell me what to do to unbug this. I tried reinstalling the Creative Cloud app, I tried installing earlier versions of After Effects, but all to no avail.
I have a video that I need to finish and deliver to a client ASAP, and I can't do anything, so please help!
I uninstalled the earlier version of After Effects right after the new one installed, which probably wasn't such a good idea..Run the cleaner tool and try again.

SQL Server 2014 Installation Problem
I run the setup file and hit the New Standalone Installation Of SQL Server.
When i enter the license key and accept the terms of use and pass the Product Updates and Install Setup Files, i see a warning on Microsoft.NET Security ... but i know that's nothing ... i go to Installation Type and choose new installation ...
I choose all features installation and in features selection i choose whole features. and i set the installation directory the default ...I choose default instant in Instant Configuration ... In the Server Configuration i only change SQL server browser i change
it from disabled to automatic . in the Database Engine Configuration I do nothing and i go to Analysis Services Configuration i add current user to Administration permissions for analysis services ... i hit next and go to Reporting Service Configuration and
hit the Install & Configure radio button and hit next ... i add current user again ... in the Distributed Reply Client i pass the controller name & Hit next ... When i hit Install and when installation completes ... i see the an error ... Some of the
features didn't installed successfully and another warning about The specified service has been marked for deletion.
(This warning occurred when i deleted the database engine file from the previous installation folder that the new SQL is going to install in it .)

SQL 2008 R2 Install Permissions
SQL 2008 R2 is a little tricky to install if you don’t have the right permissions. If the account you are using does not have the correct permissions you will find yourself getting loads of strange errors such as below during the installation.

SQL SERVER 2014 Installation error
Hi, I'm having great difficulty in installing SQL server 2014 developer edition 64- bit . When I use to run setup it says sql server boot strapper.dll is missing although it is present inside the folder and when I opened the sql setup bootstrapper.dll it
gives the error "This file doesn't have a program associated with it for performing this action". ? I've attached the snapshot of the error as well.

Are you trying to install from a network share/location? Could you try to copy the media to a folder on the c:\ drive.
If the media is an .ISO file, please unzip it using WinRAR and install from that folder on the C:\ drive.
If the above does not help, could you try to download the media again.

Email on the IPhone gets deleted when the email is checked on the PC
Hey all, My boss gave me the task of figuring out issues on his IPhone 4G so here I am. He says when he checks an email on his personal computer, that same email gets deleted on his IPhone. We use Windows Mail and I'm sure it's POP. I've googled this
